Chapter 56: Diamond King

In mid-air, the Silver-Winged Demigod stood motionless, enveloped by the silver flames he emitted, appearing sacred and transcendent. He was clad in lustrous silver attire, which, combined with his long hair and silver wings, made him appear even more extraordinary, like a deity gazing down upon mortals.

On the ground, the monster, severed into two halves, shed a large amount of blood. Rocks, vegetation, and soil were stained crimson, a shocking sight. This monster, over ten meters long, had been invulnerable to blades and firearms, destroying everything in its path and killing dozens of exceptional individuals, yet it was now cut in half here. The contrast left many in awe; the Silver-Winged Demigod was indeed formidable and exceptionally impressive.

"Roar!"

Another monster on the ground bellowed like muffled thunder. It opened its gaping maw, crimson eyes fixed on the mid-air, and let out a bloodcurdling shriek. Some people covered their ears, wincing in pain, as the monster's sonic waves were highly destructive. Around it, plants shattered, and dust and rocks flew everywhere. Its roar created a massive cloud of smoke and debris. It readied itself, intending to leap into the sky to avenge its companion.

The Silver-Winged Demigod remained suspended in the air, silent and still. His silver eyes gleamed brightly as he calmly surveyed the scene below, his face devoid of any emotion.

With a whoosh, the monster moved. Its massive, over ten-meter-long body was agile and nimble, darting dozens of meters in an instant like a streak of green lightning. However, instead of leaping into the air, it lunged towards a small tree nearby, aiming to devour the purplish-gold pinecone. Despite its crimson, hateful eyes, it suppressed its animalistic instincts, choosing to pursue the exotic fruit. It knew that consuming it would significantly enhance its power. With increased strength, it could then break out of the Taihang Mountains, rampage across the northern plains, and advance toward more mysterious and renowned mountains and rivers. As for its enemies, once its power greatly increased, it could slaughter them all.

This outcome surprised many; the monster, with its bloodshot eyes, surprisingly did not attack instinctively, which was peculiar. A fierce wind whipped up as it advanced, and the ground cracked beneath it. Its immense weight caused the earth to tremble slightly with each leap, covering dozens of meters.

"Quick, stop it!" some people cried out. No one wanted to see the purplish-gold pinecone fall into the monster's mouth.

Thud! It was as if a large drum suspended in mid-air had been struck forcefully, producing a dull, thunderous sound that resonated in all directions. Then, people saw the monster, over ten meters long, flip through the air. It had been violently struck and flung into the distant mountains, where ancient trees snapped and rocks and soil scattered.

What happened? Many were bewildered and utterly confused. An additional person had appeared in the clearing, standing not far from the small tree. It was he who had sent the monster flying, a sight that stunned the onlookers into silence. He wore a loose training suit, and his entire physique appeared incredibly solid, without bulging muscles, yet possessing a remarkably robust build! Just by looking at him, one could tell he possessed astonishing strength.

This man was unique; while not handsome, his exceptional demeanor, like a serene Buddha holding a flower, radiated a quiet yet terrifying power. He had short hair and translucent, slightly yellowish skin that gleamed like jade, clearly indicating he was no ordinary person. His physique was extremely powerful, exuding a masculine aura, and his eyes shone brightly.

"He is... Vajra!" someone exclaimed in a hushed voice, guessing his identity. Another of the four exceptional individuals at the top of the pyramid had arrived: Vajra! With just one strike, he sent the monster flying. How much strength did he possess? It was widely known that just recently, this over ten-meter-long monster had rampaged, crushing everything in its path, easily killing even tree-people transformed to ten meters tall. Now, a mere human had effortlessly knocked it over, demonstrating a pure strength more terrifying than the monster's.

The monster scrambled to its feet, eyes blazing with fury. It had been just moments away from devouring the pinecone, only to be stopped at the crucial moment. At the same time, a hint of apprehension showed in its eyes. The fact that the man had tripped it with just a punch made it feel a little flustered.

Whoosh! The monster still chose to attack. The pinecone was about to mature and was within reach; how could it willingly abandon it? In fact, Vajra also moved, even faster than the monster. Covering dozens of meters, he seemed to shorten the ground with each stride, arriving instantly.

"Bang!" This time, he used his Vajra Fist, striking with even greater force. He slammed into the side of the monster's open mouth, instantly breaking its teeth and sending blood spattering. The monster was flung through the air once more, landing even farther away. It simply could not withstand such power. The monster, originally incredibly ferocious, had encountered someone even tougher. With mere brute force, Vajra had completely suppressed it. On the ground lay several teeth, each over a foot long, stark white and sharp, stained with dark red blood—a gruesome sight.

"That's Vajra! He's incredibly brave and his strength is terrifying!"

"Vajra is here! He's definitely going to contend with the Silver-Winged Demigod. We didn't come here for nothing today!" Many were both excited and delighted. Just moments ago, they had been worried about the monster's terror, but now they dismissed it entirely. With Vajra present, there was no problem at all.

In mid-air, the Silver-Winged Demigod moved, descending with a silver radiance onto a nearby mountain peak. There were several people there, important figures from Heavenly God Corporation! Lin Nuoyi stood at the mountaintop, slender and elegantly beautiful. Her long hair cascaded to her waist, and her radiant, delicate face revealed nothing; she was utterly serene. The Silver-Winged Demigod landed, standing shoulder to shoulder with her. Upon seeing this, people showed expressions of surprise. Lin Nuoyi had previously been photographed from the side, and even then, people found her excessively beautiful. She and the Silver-Winged Demigod became a popular topic of discussion. Now, witnessing her in person, they found her even more stunning, several times more beautiful than in the photograph.

Another young man, quite distinguished and handsome, appeared on the mountaintop. He walked to Lin Nuoyi's other side, constantly giving instructions to some people, beginning to make arrangements.

"Mu?" Chu Feng looked in that direction, recognizing them one by one. He had seen photos of Mu and knew his relationship with Xu Wanqing was unusual, so he had always paid close attention.

"Boom!" In the clearing, the monster was once again blasted by Vajra, sending it flying, breaking ancient trees one after another, and causing an immense commotion. Many noticed that Vajra seemed to be merely warming up, not rushing to deliver a killing blow. People realized his true opponent was the Silver-Winged Demigod, and he simply didn't regard the terrifying monster as a serious threat, only using the opportunity to stretch his limbs.

The monster became enraged, opening its mouth to spew black, sulfurous flames; it was fighting for its life. Clearly, Vajra didn't want to waste any more time with it. With a whoosh, he drew a gleaming long blade from his back. He took a single stride, covering dozens of meters, and swiftly charged forward. The blade flashed, gleaming like a silver river, casting a dazzling white light across the mountains. A massive head, trailing blood, flew through the air. With just that one strike, Vajra had slain the monster. Indeed, he had only been warming up earlier!

"Quick, did you get all that on film? This is the most precious footage! It's not special effects; it will become an epic mythological drama!" In such a tense moment, someone actually urged them on, shouting excitedly. People were startled, then they spotted Zhou Yitian, the director, with several crew members, setting up various cameras and recording the scene from all angles.

"The Silver-Winged Demigod and Vajra will both become invincible heroes in our grand drama," Zhou Yitian said, slightly agitated. No one paid him any mind, nor did anyone continue to focus on him. Everyone was astonished by Vajra's terrifying combat power. With his Buddhist Blade drawn, who could contend with him?

"Vajra, over here!" From the mountain peak, the Silver-Winged Demigod spoke. With a flap of his wings, light shimmered and sparkled silver. He flew in one direction, gazing down upon all the other exceptional individuals along the way. He was high above, truly like a demigod compared to the other exceptional individuals!

Vajra looked up. As if by prior understanding, knowing a battle between them was inevitable, he started moving on the ground, his speed equally astonishing. In an instant, he reached a distant point. Everyone was appalled. Was he really just walking on the ground? His speed was incredibly fast; even many birds might not be able to match him.

Boom! In the open mountainous terrain in the distance, the Silver-Winged Demigod and Vajra clashed, and a peerless battle thus began!

"Attack! That fruit can only belong to Heavenly God Corporation!" Mu commanded. With a wave of his hand, many exceptional individuals moved, pressing towards the small tree to seize advantageous positions, as the fruit was about to ripen. Simultaneously, people were startled to discover dark cannon muzzles emerging on some mountaintops, intimidating everyone. At the same time, a roaring sound came from afar as several armed helicopters, like steel monsters, rapidly approached and circled above the mountain range. Everyone's expressions changed. The weapons carried by the helicopters were terrifying; a single burst of fire could destroy vast areas.

"Zhou Quan, leave at once!" On the mountaintop, Chu Feng whispered, extremely serious, even commanding, telling Zhou Quan to flee the area immediately. He had a premonition of danger. A sense of peril had risen in his heart. Zhou Quan understood the gravity of the situation. Without a word, he quickly dashed down the mountain, then ran wildly, escaping hundreds of meters in the blink of an eye.

Chu Feng's heart pounded, and several parts of his body felt a slight pain. His instincts were giving him a warning, similar to past sensations: someone was aiming firearms at him.

"Those who challenge Heavenly God Corporation—die!" In the distance, Mu said coldly, his handsome face betraying a cruel expression. He waved his hand, issuing an order.

Bang, bang, bang... In an instant, large-caliber firearms roared, unleashing fierce firepower. Bullets, breaking the sound barrier, poured in a dense barrage onto the small mountain where Chu Feng was located. Chu Feng moved preemptively, like a wild beast descending a mountain, rolling to the other side of the slope, evading all the bullets. The Yellow Ox, enraged, also quickly moved to the same side of the mountaintop to take cover.

Cold light gleamed in Chu Feng's eyes. He hadn't wanted to engage with Heavenly God Corporation's people because Lin Nuoyi was on their side, but now that someone wanted to kill him, he had to make a decision. Chu Feng appeared, raising the firearm he had brought with him. Cold and ruthless, he fired in a certain direction.

Bang! Bang! Bang... In that very instant, he pulled the trigger repeatedly. All six elites who had attacked him were killed, one bullet for each, executed with precision and ruthlessness. It all happened too quickly; many people hadn't even processed what was happening before it was over.

"My god, Ox King was actually able to dodge bullets, and then counterattacked, killing six experts from Heavenly God Corporation!"

"How fast is his reaction speed? How could he possibly dodge so many bullets?!" The group simply couldn't believe their eyes.

Mu's face showed surprise. At this moment, he had a bad feeling, realizing that the person he had provoked was far from simple, able to evade firearm attacks. Lin Nuoyi turned her head to look at him.

"I saw Uncle Lin Ye Yu's men being humiliated by him, so I wanted to use this opportunity to eliminate him. I didn't expect him to be so powerful. My mistake," Mu said candidly. In just a few simple, direct words, he told Lin Nuoyi that he had acted on behalf of her uncle.

Bang! On the mountaintop, Chu Feng again raised his firearm and fired a single bullet into the distance.

"Hmm?!" Mu's expression slightly changed. He was no ordinary person, possessing terrifying intuition. With a whoosh, he vanished from his spot. A bullet whizzed past him.

"This person is not simple!" Chu Feng exclaimed in surprise. It was the first time he had encountered someone who, like himself, could dodge bullets. However, he surmised that Vajra and the Silver-Winged Demigod were even more terrifying, having long since overcome their fear of firearms.

"Kill him!" Mu's eyes were cold as he looked towards the small mountain. With a wave of his hand, he issued the command, revealing terrifying killing intent. On several mountain peaks, dark cannon muzzles rotated, aiming at the mountaintop where Chu Feng was. Concurrently, an armed helicopter in the sky turned and also headed towards Chu Feng's location.

"Mu, you want to kill me? Today, I'll settle our past grievances with you!" Killing intent flared in Chu Feng's eyes, shining brightly.
