Chapter 74: Four Great Realms

## Chapter 74: The Four Realms

This page of the golden book was mysterious and unfathomable. The tiny, densely packed characters on it were not read in the conventional sense; instead, they spontaneously transformed into individual stars and surged towards Ye Fan's mind.

At this moment, Ye Fan felt auspicious colors descend from the sky, divine springs gush from the earth, lotuses bloom one by one, and jade grass sprouts everywhere. Divine radiance filled the heavens; dragons danced and phoenixes soared; ancient tortoises exuded good fortune; auspicious qilin absorbed vital energy; purple qi came from the east, and golden light arrived from the west; five-colored divine light illuminated everything, and a seven-colored rainbow spanned the sky.

Numerous wondrous phenomena and endless cultivation methods appeared, profound and mysterious, like divine music from the heavens or sacred hymns of the Great Dao, reverberating deeply within Ye Fan's heart.

He was in a trance, utterly captivated, like a parched desert suddenly receiving widespread sweet dew, gradually teeming with life amidst the vast yellow sands. Ye Fan felt as if many windows had suddenly opened, with various divine lights streaming towards him. He tried hard to grasp something, but the radiance slipped through his fingers, proving elusive.

This was not cultivation in the conventional sense; no one could comprehend such profound truths in a short time. Instead, it was an impact of "great momentum." The Sea of Wheels Scroll of the Dao Scripture seemed to pour down like the Milky Way from the nine heavens, scattering silver light with magnificent force. What this scroll contained surged into Ye Fan's mind in a very general way, giving him a rough understanding of what he needed to cultivate and what realms he had to achieve.

The four major realms—Sea of Suffering, Spring of Life, Divine Bridge, and Other Shore—perfectly expounded the core meaning of the Sea of Wheels Scroll of the Dao Scripture.

Cultivators must first open up the Sea of Suffering and allow it to gradually expand. Only then can they explore the Wheel of Life, as the two overlap.

Subsequently, endless life essence is released, circling above the Sea of Suffering and overflowing to all parts of the body, nourishing the flesh, internal organs, and bones, strengthening the physical shell, and enabling an initial transcendence from mortality. This is the first realm of the Sea of Wheels Scroll: Sea of Suffering.

The Sea of Suffering covers the Wheel of Life, existing one above the other, overlapping. Each year, it leaves a mark on the Wheel of Life until the wheel is completely scarred and ultimately collapses. That is the moment when a person's lifespan is exhausted and they return to death.

To change this situation, one must forge a path within the Sea of Suffering, extending directly to its bottom, connecting with the Wheel of Life. This allows a vast amount of life essence to surge forth, preventing the erosion by the Sea of Suffering and thus extending one's lifespan.

Quantitative change leads to qualitative change. The surging, vibrant life essence eventually converges, transforming into a liquid to form a divine Spring of Life, which then rushes into the Sea of Suffering.

Carving out an 'eye' of the Spring of Life in the desolate Sea of Suffering, connecting it to the Wheel of Life, and allowing the divine spring to gush forth, this is the second realm of the Sea of Wheels Scroll: Spring of Life.

In this way, cultivators gain a source of power, enabling them to unleash various profound techniques and divine abilities with unfathomable might. This is a crucial step in a cultivator's transformation; as long as the source of divine power is continuous, their magical energy will be inexhaustible.

In fact, the divine rainbows that cultivators command are the divine lights emerging from their own Spring of Life. Once cultivation reaches the Spring of Life realm, one can travel by rainbow, fly through the sky, burrow into the earth, and employ countless exquisite profound techniques.

The human body holds endless mysteries, and powerful cultivators do not wish to remain trapped in the Sea of Suffering. They seek to explore other unknown secret realms within the body, which leads to the arduous journey of crossing the Sea of Suffering.

The profound techniques recorded in the Dao Scripture possess an indomitable momentum; even if the Sea of Suffering is boundless, there is no need to turn back. One must break through the shackles with their own powerful strength.

To achieve this goal, cultivators need to transform their physical shell, cultivating a divine meridian within the Sea of Suffering to help them break through obstacles and reach the other side of the Sea of Suffering.

This is an arduous and lengthy process. Cultivators will grow stronger with each setback, ultimately allowing their Sea of Wheels to sublimate, forming a celestial divine meridian and unleashing their endless potential. This is the third realm of the Sea of Wheels Scroll: Divine Bridge.

Once cultivation reaches this point, cultivators must possess an unshakeable resolve, never wavering. Only then can they see through illusions and mists and continue searching for their Other Shore.

During this process, not only must the physical shell transform, but the spirit must also sublimate. The spirit and body become one, breaking through limitations and transcending the self. Only then can one return to their origin, find their foundation. The Divine Bridge arrives like a rainbow, successfully crossing the Sea of Suffering. This is the fourth realm of the Sea of Wheels Scroll: Other Shore.

Upon reaching the Other Shore, a cultivator's flesh, internal organs, and bones will wither. Subsequently, a different kind of rebirth will occur, involving nine continuous transformations, completing a metamorphosis akin to a silkworm breaking free from its cocoon and becoming a butterfly.

The four major realms—Sea of Suffering, Spring of Life, Divine Bridge, and Other Shore—are distinctly separate, each as vast as the sky. Breaking through them is extremely difficult. Each major realm involves numerous details, requiring accumulation and refinement before transformation becomes possible.

"So, once you reach the second major realm, the Spring of Life, you can travel by rainbow. Someone like that could crush a cultivator in the Sea of Suffering realm as easily as an ant." A shiver ran through Ye Fan. He thought of Elder Han, whose cultivation was at least at or above the Spring of Life realm.

Between the four major realms, the disparity in strength is immense, like an unbridgeable chasm.

Classifying Ye Fan as a cultivator in the Sea of Suffering realm was quite a stretch, as the golden Sea of Suffering he had opened was incredibly tiny, no larger than a soybean.

Ye Fan was not disheartened. After all, he had only just begun his cultivation, and given the short time, achieving this much was already difficult. Moreover, his Sea of Suffering was unique; it was brilliant and radiant, devoid of any death qi. Each time it opened, it reverberated through heaven and earth, surging like a golden ocean. It certainly seemed extraordinary.

Afterwards, Ye Fan thought of Elder Han's grandson, Han Feiyu. Although his divine Spring of Life was not yet gushing forth, meaning he hadn't reached the second major realm, Spring of Life, he could already wield the Azure Wood Treasure Seal. Such a "Sea of Suffering cultivator" who controlled a treasure posed a significant threat to Ye Fan.

Ye Fan absorbed the impact of the "great momentum," feeling as if in a dream. The Sea of Wheels chapter of the Dao Scripture unfolded in his mind like a magnificent historical scroll, then flowed past like a mighty sacred river that split heaven and earth, giving him a preliminary glimpse into profound truths.

There was no specific cultivation method, but this grand baptism greatly benefited him. It provided an overall grasp of cultivation, showing him the direction and the path to take in the future.

"It's a bit different from the Dao Scripture I practiced before..." After grasping the general profound meaning, Ye Fan began to study it meticulously from the beginning and immediately discovered an anomaly.

He found that the profound techniques recorded on this golden page differed from the Dao Scripture he had practiced in the Spirit Void Cavern Heaven. Even the first few lines of ancient script showed slight discrepancies.

"It seems that after the Sea of Wheels Scroll of the Dao Scripture was lost, although some fragments were passed down, none were entirely accurate..." Ye Fan secretly rejoiced. If he hadn't unexpectedly obtained this golden page, he might never have known about the deficiencies in the Dao Scripture he had previously practiced.

"Now I can correct it and perfect the profound techniques..." Ye Fan acted on his words, immediately beginning to cultivate according to the profound techniques recorded in the true Dao Scripture.

A profound and mysterious sensation welled up within him. He felt an emptiness and clarity in his mind. After the profound techniques were corrected, more golden threads overflowed from his Sea of Suffering, flowing to all his limbs and bones. His entire body felt comfortable, and his flesh, internal organs, and bones were all being nourished. At that moment, he felt as if he had inexhaustible strength.

At the same time, strange transformations occurred above Ye Fan's golden Sea of Suffering. Various anomalous phenomena appeared: divine brilliance flickered, first like stars, then like primordial chaos, exhaling and forming, emerging from nothingness. Mists swirled, and streaks of divine radiance shimmered, manifesting in countless, unpredictable forms.

Above the golden ocean, myriad changes unfolded: at one moment, star rivers filled the sky; at another, the heavens were desolate. Growth and decay, prosperity and demise, cycled endlessly, alternating continuously.

"Are these the true changes imparted by the authentic Dao Scripture?" Ye Fan was greatly astonished. At this moment, he felt the vibrant life force of heaven and earth merging to create all things, and also perceived the deathly stillness of a desolate universe and withering starry skies.

It was a long time before everything settled. The golden Sea of Suffering became even more condensed. Previously as pure as the bright moon, its radiance now resembled the scorching sun. The overflowing golden threads were more intense, imbued with an extremely vigorous life force.

"The true Dao Scripture is indeed extraordinary!" Ye Fan exclaimed with emotion. He believed he could go further and break the curse of the Desolate Ancient Sacred Body.

However, he was not complacent or conceited, for he knew that in the Eastern Wasteland, there were several other ancient scriptures comparable to the Dao Scripture, all profoundly abstruse and complete, not lost. Currently, they were all in the hands of the Sacred Lands and Desolate Ancient Aristocratic Families.

"Currently, the profound techniques I cultivate are no worse than anyone else's; my starting point is not lower than others." Divine light gleamed in Ye Fan's eyes as he declared, "I will surely be able to open the Sea of Suffering, let the divine spring gush forth, form a celestial bridge meridian, reach the Other Shore, undergo nine successive transformations, and complete the metamorphosis from cocoon to butterfly."
