From a distance, Caroline felt a jolt at his words. "Try to... interfere with their evolution? With our mortal strength? Won't this enrage the Creator God? Can we really do this?" Hearing Xu Zhi's suggestion, she felt a chill of trepidation.
The Ishdar people were known for their zealous and stubborn nature, but that didn't mean they were thoughtless. Interfering with a world still in the process of re-evolution and completion could very well enrage the supreme being beyond their ken. After all, she had witnessed countless lives treated as disposable in the transcendent world.
She herself had once lived by those rules: the strong dictated the lives of the weak, might was justice, and weakness was an unforgivable sin. As a ruler, she had waged countless wars, slaughtered numerous demon beast territories, and conquered everything to forge the glory of the Ishdar. Justice? Human rights? Equality? Those concepts only applied to their own race.
They were known as the God Race, ruthlessly suppressing all others. She had even annihilated the Merfolk, Dragon, and countless other races, earning her the title from the Corpse Race as the most iron-blooded and cold-hearted tyrant empress in history: the Sacred Sakura Great Emperor.
The world was a harsh reality. She had understood this clearly from her very first steps towards the pinnacle of power. That was why the Ancient God's aid in her rise had moved her so deeply.
"It's true that the strong dominate the lives of the weak," Xu Zhi said, turning his head to look at her with a smile, "but what if the difference in power is too vast? Would you even notice the actions of an ant? Even for a Level 9 world overlord spanning tens of thousands of years, it's merely the blink of an eye. Time will erase all traces; what you did or didn't do will make no difference to it."
The two strolled casually across the desolate, vacuum-like expanse of dirt. In the distance, the nascent life forms continued their frantic evolution. As they walked, Xu Zhi gazed quietly into Caroline's eyes, speaking in a low, measured tone. "As long as we don't directly obstruct it, the Creator God will not concern itself with us mere ants. There are so many ants in the world; how could it possibly pay attention to them all?"
"We are just ants," she echoed. "Are even you counted among them?"
She walked on, slowly grasping the Ancient God's meaning. Just as a person pays no mind to bacteria, for they are not beings of the same dimension — unless they happen to lie directly in the path of that colossal being, in which case they might be inadvertently crushed.
In that moment, Caroline closed her eyes, as if recalling something profound, and felt a grand and magnificent panorama of a worldview unfurl before her. The myriad heavens and worlds, and their governing rules. Avatars of the Creator God would descend during significant changes in various worlds, completing and perfecting them. Even the Ancient God, in relation to even higher beings, was merely one of the weaker existences!
Caroline gathered her thoughts, her heart both shaken and resolute. She reflected on her original dreams and unwavering resolve, on the path she had walked. Was this the world she truly desired and pursued? A world where she was free, not someone trapped in a cage?
She turned, gazing at the vast, boundless yellowish-brown planet, her heroic face flushed with excitement. "A world where I can freely modify and set the original parameters! So, how should I guide them over these next two hundred years?" Her eyes sparkled with brilliant anticipation.
The entire world advanced at an astonishing pace, a truly dreamlike spectacle. Even on this barren, vacuum-like yellowish-brown land, verdant scenes, typically found only on life-bearing planets, began to appear. Their life forms resembled those of life-bearing planets, yet were fundamentally different. They possessed self-contained respiratory hearts, with intricate and densely arrayed meridians. Their skin was both tough and fine, endowed with a unique pressure resistance that allowed them to withstand the external vacuum. Their skin essentially served as an integrated spacesuit.
"Aren't you going to calculate?" Caroline asked, feeling a touch of embarrassment halfway through her deductions.
Xu Zhi sighed, a hint of helplessness in his expression. Caroline was clearly feeling increasingly indebted, now fully regarding him as her esteemed mentor. This conspirator, usually so wary, had begun to trust him unconditionally.
He took a step back and smiled. "Everyone's vision is unique. I want to try letting you lead this."
Caroline no longer refused. The Ancient God knew about such matters; this was clearly not his first time witnessing such a creation. "Thank you," she said. Her nose stung, and she bowed deeply, her gratitude profound and heartfelt. Then, rising, she observed the rapidly evolving flora and fauna, her divine sense slowly encompassing them. "Environment, temperature, geographical location, and natural predators... all will determine their evolutionary trajectory in this world!"
"Calculating...""Compiling physical structures, computing evolutionary pathways..."
Within the mental universe..."Calculations in progress!"
In the Ishdar laboratory, activity surged, faces flushed with excitement. This was an immense opportunity! Unprecedented! Previously, they had only evolved data within the mental universe, essentially a virtual spiritual world. Now, a real, physical world lay before them – how could they not be ecstatic? This was the perfect chance to showcase their 'God Race' specialization, their strongest domain.
"It has finally begun," Xu Zhi murmured. He watched Caroline prepare to act, a faint smile on his face as he stepped back a few paces, gazing at the vast starry cosmos. "The first cosmic vacuum civilization... perhaps it will be very interesting." This was his first great transcendent world born in a vacuum, utterly unprecedented. Naturally, he held high hopes for it, especially given the immense price paid; failure was not an option! Although, it was Caroline who had borne the significant cost.
As for allowing beings to interfere with the "creation flow," this was not the first time he had done so. The Phoenix before had acted similarly, watching the evolution and simply adding her own blood to create and evolve a host of innate ancient gods. He himself had performed such interventions too many times. It was better to let Caroline try her hand this once, especially since, beyond the terrifying supercomputing power and Ishdar black technology, Caroline was also a high-level deity with considerable insight. Xu Zhi was greatly anticipating the outcome.
Over the next few days, Caroline led the entire Ishdar people in meticulously replanning the vast expanse. The entire planet, so vast it rivaled the landmass of China, was meticulously divided into several regions, each designed to create distinct living environments, forming seven world continents! Furthermore, two major characteristics were separated to facilitate observation of phenomena. There were species that possessed both radiation and Qi. Species that utilized only Qi, devoid of radiation. And species that used only radiation, without Qi. However, these creatures lacked internal Qi circulation, meaning they could not survive in a vacuum environment. They were a type of parasite, dwelling within air sacs on a host's body.
As various species adapted to these evolving environments were categorized, Xu Zhi looked on in awe. He felt almost like an amateur by comparison; his own previous plans had been casual, nowhere near this level of detail.
He left the desolate expanse and returned to his living room, leisurely enjoying his meal. His days were quite pleasant, punctuated only by occasional checks on Caroline's diligent work.
A hundred years passed. The races on the land flourished, bustling with activity. True species diversification was achieved, with each new life form possessing high quality and unique potential.
Two hundred years passed. The world became fully perfected, and its time flow returned to normal, transitioning from the rapid creation flow to a stable pace of development. Within just a few short years, basic slash-and-burn tribes began to emerge. The Vacuum Cell Civilization had truly taken root.
