A small moon orbited a massive gas giant, suspended in the cold, desolate, and deep dark void. Like most celestial bodies in the universe, its thin atmosphere could not retain heat, keeping the land in a perpetual low-temperature environment of around minus seventy or eighty degrees Celsius.
This was not a life-bearing planet in the traditional sense.
It was a vacuum environment in space, devoid of air, destined to be cold and lifeless.
Although this small moon still experienced day and night, the "solar radiation" from the distant sun during the day was still significant.
Across its seven continents, there were thirteen intelligent species. In just seven or eight years, they had begun to establish rudimentary tribal civilizations, building treehouses or digging burrows for shelter.
However, their civilization's development was exceedingly slow, almost to the point of stagnation.
The sun shone brightly.
Xu Zhi and Caroline walked across the small planet's sky.
This thin atmosphere could not retain temperature, block radiation, and was unusually murky, like dense smog. It even contained numerous grains of sand, swept into chaotic crosswinds.
"Without air, without a medium, communication is impossible," Caroline whispered, looking down at her creation. "Throughout history, language has been the origin of civilization, the first step away from savagery. Communication is crucial for advancing intelligence."
"Without air, without a medium, it's also impossible to create fire," Caroline continued, her voice firm. "Fire is the first step in the origin of civilization... This is an unprecedented era; their environment is different from ours. We don't know what rules they will follow to develop."
"Since they already possess intelligence, let's allow nature to take its course. Time will tell us everything," Xu Zhi said, gazing at the entire land in silence for a long time.
Xu Zhi had never considered vacuum-dwelling species before.
Their rise was unlike that of any previous species.
Unable to communicate, unable to use fire, with no era of slash-and-burn agriculture—how would a vacuum civilization emerge?
No one knew yet.
Xu Zhi and Caroline traveled to many other places. Walking as the Ancient God, he felt somewhat relaxed and unrestrained, able to converse as equals and discuss interesting ideas and concepts together.
Soon, they arrived at the smallest continent, designated '01'. Amidst the verdant mountains, they observed a unique species.
"This is my greatest masterpiece," Caroline said, gesturing as if leading him to a laboratory tour. "Two hundred years have passed, and I'd like you to inspect it."
She pointed to the chirping creatures on the land before them. "Other areas used less than 10% of our computing power, simply guiding the differentiation of intelligence and allowing them to evolve naturally, minimizing artificial interference. We Ishdal people believe this approach has more potential... At the same time, it conserves greater computational resources for special evolution experiments, which is our most logical human-made plan.
"This particular experiment, however, consumed 90% of our supercomputing power. Though there are only twenty-seven of them, each one is a treasure... the undisputed culmination of the Ishdal people's efforts!"
These twenty-seven beings?
Were they the Ishdal people's strongest creation?
Xu Zhi instantly became very interested.
Were these twenty-seven "gods" similar to the thirteen unique primordial gods created by the Phoenix? After all, some creatures possessed strong, unique characteristics, born by chance and incapable of reproduction. Similar to the ancient gods of that era, each one lost was irreplaceable, as even Xu Zhi couldn't reproduce them from the gene pool because they lacked reproductive ability. The simplest example was the Phoenix, a terrifying, heaven-defying, accidental life form that was truly unique.
"These twenty-seven? Could it be that this planet, like the Primordial World, will also see a mythological era of creation led by thirteen primordial gods?" Xu Zhi wondered, a faint curiosity in his heart. "Will these twenty-seven unique primordial gods also dominate the world, leading to conflicts over succession with later-born beings?"
They were beings made of clay.
They had no gender distinction, beautiful like white jade statues, smooth as jade, elegant and slender, as if emerging from white glaze mud. They were as intricate as porcelain figures, and they began building tribes among the trees.
At first glance, one might assume their snow-white skin was extremely hard and as fragile as stone. In reality, it was soft and elastic, a special vacuum-resistant skin material that felt like cool, delicate soft clay to the touch.
"What race is this?" Xu Zhi asked directly.
"This race, in my conception, is in some material aspect, a race akin to the God of Creation!" Caroline whispered.
Xu Zhi: "???"
He looked at Caroline, feeling somewhat helpless.
*You just visited the God of Creation, and now, you're eagerly planning to use this evolutionary opportunity to create a new species similar to the God of Creation? To replace him? I just encouraged you a little, and you immediately want to reach for the heavens?*
Xu Zhi was utterly speechless and remained silent for a moment.
Caroline, excited, explained, "You said that the God of Creation is both infinite and the primordial zero, the One that creates all things! And this race before us originates from that concept! Everything in the world is born from One, and everything will return to One... One is All, and All is One. Therefore, I want to call this race... the All-Race!"
The All-Race?
Xu Zhi's eyes widened.
The All that creates all things?
Caroline certainly had a lot of nerve.
Xu Zhi couldn't help but look at this mysterious clay-porcelain race. Simple and weak, did they truly possess such incredible abilities?
His face immediately darkened.
He suddenly remembered the ceramic-shaped, round and cute Zeno from Dragon Ball, the strongest god in that series, said to create the universe and all things.
Looking at one of the ceramic figures, he wondered, *Is the future Zeno you?*
"Their structure is quite simple," Caroline stated. Evidently oblivious to the Ancient God's wandering thoughts, she continued her serious and detailed explanation, "They have no digestive organs, no internal tissues whatsoever... As you can see, they are simple clay figures made entirely of ceramic clay, structured with the ubiquitous 'Qi' flowing through the clay within them."
"Their absorption and excretion both occur through their skin."
Caroline introduced them enthusiastically, her face radiating confident vigor. "But the most crucial aspect is their clay cells, which possess special adhesive and radiative properties... They are incredibly malleable. To put it simply, you might not understand."
Caroline beckoned and pulled one of the clay figures closer. "They are asexual and reproduce singularly... As for the method, it's similar to that of the previous treant ancestors."
She then prompted one of the white-glazed ceramic figures to self-reproduce.
A strange scene unfolded.
The ceramic figure slowly bent and squatted, opening its mouth in an exaggerated arc and spitting out a sticky ball of white clay.
*Hoo-hoo-hoo!*
It gently blew into the clay egg with its mouth, like blowing bubblegum or an old street vendor blowing sugar figurines. The entire "white clay mass" slowly inflated from the center.
One strand...
Two strands...
As if threading a needle.
Numerous intricate and delicate meridians were slowly blown into existence.
"Blowing out meridians?" Xu Zhi was astonished. "Reproducing offspring this way, by 'blowing balloons' or 'blowing sugar figures,' transferring the parent's 'Qi' to the offspring, allowing the creature to possess Qi and meridians?"
*My sons are all blown into existence by me.*
That was truly terrifying.
But then something even stranger occurred.
*Whirl!*
As it continued to blow, the ceramic figure slowly began to rotate.
It then began to shape the "ceramic infant" with its hands, much like a potter slowly rotating a lump of clay on a wheel, kneading and molding it.
Soon, while blowing, it molded an ugly, four-legged, white jade puppy, which it then dropped to the ground, where it immediately began to bounce around.
"This method of reproduction... this is creating life?" Xu Zhi felt a shock in his heart.
Witnessing this scene firsthand was immensely shocking and unimaginable.
This was creating life from clay.
It was remarkably similar to the terrifying scenes described in myths.
Caroline added, "Don't be fooled by their simple structure, consisting only of radiating clay cells and Qi, with no internal organs, respiratory tracts, or heart... In reality, the more powerful something is, the simpler its structure tends to be. These radiating clay cells are precise down to the molecular level... I used my initial understanding of fundamental principles to drive the evolution of each clay cell, giving them their malleable ability..."
Caroline explained that it had taken two hundred years and countless failed attempts to produce these twenty-seven individuals.
"Furthermore, reproducing new offspring comes at a significant cost! For example, creating this dog required giving up one-third of the parent's Qi."
Xu Zhi nodded. In his perception, the Qi of the clay creature before them was clearly shared with the newly formed clay dog.
"How do you plan to use this race?" Xu Zhi asked curiously.
"For ourselves," Caroline replied. She took a deep breath and smiled faintly. "These powerful and unique beings have infinite potential. Why should we leave them for others? Or let them grow on their own? They are the first generation, possessing the strongest bloodline. Any offspring they produce will be sub-bodies... Their bloodlines will continuously weaken. These twenty-seven original ancestors can be taken over by us, serving as mortal vessels, our second cultivation avatars! Our two rudimentary treant avatars, the vacuum ancestors, should be phased out!"
Xu Zhi's heart sank abruptly.
The Phoenix created thirteen primordial gods and kindly raised them as children.
Caroline created twenty-seven clay All-Race beings specifically to kill them and use their bodies for possession.
Yet, it was not surprising at all.
"So that's how it is?"
Xu Zhi suddenly understood. "Previously, Caroline didn't know about the 'Inner World' possession system. But after creating and possessing two avatars herself, this current reproduction effort is specifically designed for possession. This was her plan from the start!"
This raised a question:
How could one achieve the best returns from this accelerated evolutionary creation?
This was the optimal answer.
Use this opportunity of life creation to evolve the most powerful "God of Creation" avatars, and then possess them!
"Based on the lie I created for Caroline, this is indeed the best choice," Xu Zhi thought, his breathing quickening. "To create the greatest opportunity for oneself."
Indeed, Caroline had given him a significant surprise.
This "Vacuum Creation" avatar was far more powerful than any blueprint for mechanical armor.
In fact, in the future, the potential of this body alone might not be lower than the "Pangu True Body" from the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Art. The vacuum clay creation could be called a "Nuwa True Body."
The Pangu True Body created a world and its heavens.
The Nuwa True Body created a race of beings.
Undoubtedly, this represented the potential for the ultimate powerhouse in a vacuum cell civilization.
In an instant, Xu Zhi's heart surged with excitement, recognizing the terrifying potential contained within.
"Since Caroline is offering such a heaven-defying combat power, it would be foolish to refuse. This avatar of the Ancient God could use this body as a mortal vessel, hiding in his sea of consciousness—that's quite good..." Xu Zhi constantly weighed the options. "But, an avatar's avatar?"
After a fierce internal debate, he gathered his thoughts, looked at the twenty-seven experimental subjects, and returned to the topic with Caroline. "As our avatars? A good idea, but these beings already have three genes: gaseous, radiation, and clay... Introducing a fourth gene would likely result in a high probability, perhaps even all of them dying here... Do you really want to do this?"
This was the biggest challenge.
Currently, the two treant avatars Xu Zhi had created only had two genes. When he tried to integrate a third gene then, a large number of them failed and died, but it didn't matter much because there were so many treants.
But what about now?
They already possessed three genes; what would integrating a fourth gene mean?
The difficulty would increase exponentially!
If successful, it would reach the level of a pseudo-Zerg hero.
Caroline was indeed incredibly daring and ambitious.
Furthermore, these were not just four random, subpar genetic talents; each gene was exceptionally powerful, combining to create a heaven-defying being.
Even now, with just three genes, these twenty-seven individuals were incredibly valuable, a powerful created race. Integrating a new gene would require the readiness to lose them all, with no return on investment!
"Naturally, we must try," Caroline said with a faint smile. "If we're going to do it, let's do it perfectly... Why did I evolve them to be so powerful? Was it for them to rise on their own? No. I simply want them to be our mortal vessels. If they cannot be possessed by us... then their strength is meaningless. It wouldn't matter if all twenty-seven of them died."
As she spoke, her eyes were cold, reflecting the indifference of an ancient deity looking down upon countless beings.
"I also have a certain degree of confidence," Caroline said, looking serious. Believing the Ancient God feared failure, she continued with pride, "This is where my talent lies. I'm not good at combat, but genetic engineering is my strongest skill. As I evolved them, I continuously increased their tolerance for the 'Inner World' gene. While it's practically impossible for them to tolerate other new fourth genes... for this specific one, there's a significant possibility, a chance to go all in!"
"Please trust my abilities," she stated with unprecedented seriousness.
Xu Zhi: "....."
The Ishdal people were still very prone to gambling.
However, Xu Zhi did not refuse; he was extremely envious of this avatar's ability.
Clay creating all things?
Ideas need not be limited; there are infinite possibilities. Not just animals, but what about bio-flesh weapons?
Flesh swords?
Flesh cars?
All of these could be created using the Ishdal people's extraordinary technology. This was a powerful talent perfectly suited to their magical mechanical skills, bringing them closer to a true divine race.
Furthermore, they had customized it for themselves, and if he were to obtain it...
"Then I won't lack servants," Xu Zhi thought calmly, his eyes glinting. This was the most direct benefit. "Before, when I wanted someone to help in the orchard, tidy rooms, wash dishes, or cook, I couldn't find any suitable-sized beings... The giant form of Pangu True Body would fit, but it couldn't handle my housework... Now, I can mold a figurine and blow out a servant. That's certainly feasible and very safe."
Blowing all things into existence.
He suddenly recalled a popular saying:
"I'm 20 this year, I own a Lamborghini, three fully-paid apartments in Beijing's Third Ring Road and Shanghai, and I have a beautiful and lovely girlfriend. None of this was thanks to my parents or friends; it was all thanks to my own hard 'blowing'."
It was perfectly apt.
