Chapter 2487

The book *A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality* has finally concluded.

When I finished writing the last word and set down my pen, I felt a great sense of relief, but also a lingering emptiness that was hard to let go of. I believe many readers who have followed the series closely share this rather complex feeling.

This is my first completed novel, but I am confident it will not be my last.

I checked the publication records for *A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality*:First uploaded: February 20, 2008First published: August 1, 2008Completion date: September 23, 2013

The book spanned a total of five years and seven months and comprises over seven million characters. While I cannot compare to some of the incredibly prolific authors on this website, it is truly a novel into which I poured immense effort.

The initial conceptualization for *A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality* alone took nearly three years. When I started writing, I had hesitated for a long time before finally deciding to embark on a career as a writer. After all, as a first-time novelist, I couldn't compare to veteran authors who had written several books, and I encountered many difficulties and distractions when I began my creative process.

Not to mention other challenges, the most basic task of typing on a computer almost deterred me entirely in the beginning. Before writing *A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality*, I only knew the most basic computer operations and had never truly typed; I always used the "one-finger typing" method. I remember that typing the first chapter, which was just over two thousand characters and whose content I already knew by heart, still took me a full four hours.

However, upon completing that chapter, I felt a sense of accomplishment I had never experienced before. This feeling was one of the reasons that motivated me to persevere.

However, the true motivation that kept me writing *A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality* day and night until its completion was the love and high regard countless loyal readers showed for the book. Over five years of unwavering support allowed many readers to develop a deep connection with *A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality*, and also enabled me to meet many enthusiastic friends. Here, I extend my sincere gratitude and thanks once again to all these readers and book friends! This wonderful feeling of being acknowledged and recognized by others is, I believe, what all authors desire most.

Compared to the original outline, the completed *A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality* includes many additions but also some removed elements and content. These elements were deemed unnecessary for *A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality* and are instead reserved for establishing another Xianxia world in my new book.

I'm directly announcing the title of my new book here: *Mo Tian Ji*. It is planned for upload in November. I also spent a considerable amount of time conceptualizing this new book. Although I haven't started writing it yet, I believe it will be another excellent novel, and I hope you will enjoy it just as much when it's released. Haha, during my month-long break, I'll also write plenty of draft chapters in advance so that you'll have plenty to read all at once when it's launched!

Well, that's all for now! My next rendezvous with you all, Wang Yu, will likely be within the pages of *Mo Tian Ji*.

I wish you all good health and a happy life!
