Chapter 2128: Mortal Legend - The Unparalleled Purple Tune

**Commentary:**The character of the Corpse Ghoul is one I had somewhat forgotten myself. While I had some initial ideas about its origins, they weren't extensively developed. This fan fiction, however, is quite lengthy, and I believe that with a proper title, it could easily stand as a short cultivation novel.

**Foreword:**What I've written is a bit long because I put some serious effort into it. Regardless of whether it's good or not, the intention is there. If you choose to read it, it will likely take more than ten minutes of your time.

The story is based on the Corpse Ghoul that Han Li encountered in the Luoyun Sect, specifically the part where he caught the little fox. It weaves in some elements from the Du family's story, as well as Senior Brother Wei from the Spirit Eye Tree, and of course, Elder Yun of the Luoyun Sect, whom he mentioned.

It briefly touches upon the insignificance of humans in reality, the rarity of love, and so on, but ultimately, it's about some stories related to mortals. I hope the logic holds up well.

My only wish is that you don't feel you've wasted your time after reading it. If you think it's decent, please remember to offer some encouragement. After writing such a long piece, I'm truly afraid no one will read it!

**A Mortal's Saga: The Legend of Luoyun - Ziyun Unparalleled**

The lingering sunset glow still seemed scorching, making it difficult to open one's eyes. The ochre-yellow earth was scarred with ravines dozens of feet deep.

Following this loess plateau in Qi State, crossing the continuous mountains to the east leads to Xi State, a place rich in cultivation resources, home to the famous Yunmeng Mountain Range, abundant with spiritual energy. Many renowned great sects in Tiannan are rooted there.

To the west, across the Blackwater River, lies Meng Prefecture, the holy land of the Demonic Sects, similarly boasting formidable demonic sects like the Tiansha Sect and Qianhuan Sect, famous throughout Tiannan.

In the afterglow, two faint green streaks of light flew unhurriedly towards the northwest. Within the escaping light were two beautiful, graceful women.

One wore a vibrant green palace dress, with a beautiful face and a curvaceous figure. Her cloud-like hair was piled high, and her eyes, dark and spirited, sparkled with an inner glow.

The other, a maid, had her hair down, skin like lotus root, bright eyes, and white teeth—an exceptionally nimble and clever appearance. The two seemed to be a master and servant. The woman in the palace dress possessed high cultivation, subtly at the peak of the mid-Core Formation stage, while the maid-like woman was only at the early Foundation Establishment stage.

"Miss, are you truly going to marry Du Wushuang of the Qianhuan Sect? Bier heard that this Seventeenth Young Master of the Du family has always been quite the philanderer. No matter when, he's always surrounded by a blossoming crowd. Your servant is absolutely unwilling for you to marry him!" The maid, pouting her rosy lips, complained discontentedly while flying.

The woman in the palace dress smiled gently and said softly, "Bier, you're truly silly, but I know you mean well. However, this matter is beyond my control. Qi State is already severely lacking in resources, and with Lingyun Pavilion constantly pressuring Father recently, without the support of a major sect like Qianhuan Sect, we might have to leave the land our family has resided in for generations. Although I, Wang Ziyun, am but a woman, I don't wish to see our clansmen displaced, and Father sighs all day long. Besides, I heard that while Du Wushuang might be a bit of a womanizer, he is also a rare talent. Perhaps... in any case, everything is destiny. As long as it can resolve the crisis of my Wang family, a little grievance for me is no big deal."

After saying these words, the palace-dressed girl's mood seemed to be affected. She frowned slightly, as if unwilling to continue the conversation.

The young woman, Wang Ziyun, was the youngest daughter of Wang Shi, the patriarch of the Wang family, Qi State's largest cultivation family. She was considered one of Qi State's top talents. Not only was her beauty capable of captivating nations, but she also possessed a rare single-wood spiritual root—a legendary Heavenly Spiritual Root cultivator. She was taken as a personal disciple by Seven Spirit Sanren, an Enforcement Elder of the Qianhuan Sect, at a young age. She formed her Core before turning a hundred and advanced to the late Core Formation stage in just over two hundred years, becoming a "rising star" renowned throughout Qi State and even Tiannan.

Originally, the Wang family had managed the largest market in Huazhou of Qi State. However, a decade or so ago, Venerable Jiuqu passed away, and coupled with the Qianhuan Sect's incessant internal strife and complex factions, the Wang family lost the support of a Nascent Soul cultivator overnight. They were then gradually pressured by the newly rising Lingyun Pavilion. A few days ago, Lingyun Pavilion had sent representatives to "negotiate," suggesting that the market merge with some of their shops. Lingyun Pavilion only had two or three shops there, and they also announced that Lingyun Pavilion's Grand Elder would personally visit the Wang family to "discuss" the matter. For a Nascent Soul cultivator to negotiate at the home of Core Formation cultivators was, to put it plainly, no different from bullying through sheer power.

Choked with anger, Ziyun's father felt there was no way out. After all, to negotiate "on equal footing" with a Nascent Soul cultivator, one would need to invite another Nascent Soul cultivator. But at this time, Seven Spirit Sanren had already passed away, and finding another powerful patron was extremely difficult. After deliberating for a few days, an idea suddenly struck him. He remembered that Du Wushuang, the youngest son of Qianhuan Sect's Enforcement Elder Du Xinran and the Seventeenth Young Master of the powerful Du family, had not yet chosen a dual cultivation partner. He thought of marrying his daughter to Du Wushuang. After all, besides Du Xinran, Du Xinran's senior brother, Fu Zhen, was the Grand Elder of Baiqiao Academy, a major sect in Xi State, already at the mid-Nascent Soul stage with a distinguished reputation. If they allied with the Du family, it would mean allying with both the Du and Fu families, and consequently, with the Qianhuan Sect and Baiqiao Academy. Within a few centuries, the Wang family would undoubtedly be secure, and perhaps even soar to greater heights, no longer having to live cautiously and stagnate in Qi State.

However, his daughter had always been high-spirited, and Du Wushuang's philandering reputation was widely known. It was truly a great injustice to his daughter. Unexpectedly, his thoughtful daughter, having lived a long life as a cultivator and witnessed much worldly change, discerned Wang Shi's thoughts. She proactively brought up the matter and proposed returning to the sect to briefly consult with a senior uncle with whom she had some acquaintance, to seek his opinion.

While flying, Ziyun contemplated these matters, and her mind became quite unsettled. The path of cultivation should be single-minded, yet there were still millions of earthly ties. Ziyun sighed softly. Just as she decided to put her worries aside and rush to Qianhuan Sect, she suddenly seemed to discover something, uttering a soft "咦" and stopping her遁光 (light of escape/flight).

"Miss, what's wrong? Are you unwell?" Bier asked with concern.

"Nothing, it seems there are some people fighting ahead. From the spiritual energy fluctuations, they appear to be several Foundation Establishment cultivators. Let's continue on our way," Ziyun said calmly, raising her eyebrows slightly, as if unconcerned.

"But, Miss, why don't we go take a look? It's still far from the sect, and you're so troubled. Perhaps we could stop briefly and see what's happening ahead, and your mood might improve. Any disputes would only involve Foundation Establishment cultivators, so there's no danger." Bier blinked, looking into the distance, appearing quite eager.

"Hehe, you can never shake off your habit of enjoying a good spectacle. Very well, we'll go take a look as you wish." Ziyun smiled faintly. The two concealed their cultivation slightly. Ziyun was especially worried about Bier, fearing her spiritual energy fluctuations might be detected, so she casually handed the young maid a cloak with spiritual power concealing properties, telling Bier to put it on. Then they slowly flew towards the direction of the conflict.

Not long after, Ziyun led Bier to the back of a hill. "They're down there. Be careful not to be discovered," Ziyun whispered to Bier.

Beneath the hill, light flashed. Two men in black, one fat and one thin, were engaged in a fight. The fat one, short and stout like a large meatball, wore a tall crown and long robes. The other, bald and barefoot, was extremely slender, a full ten feet tall, like a bamboo pole. They were ganging up on a young man in a yellow shirt. The man was exceptionally muscular, with flowing hair tied back, holding a wide, silvery greatsword that emitted dazzling white light, swinging it back and forth. Strangely, a long, wrapped bundle was strapped to his back, its contents unknown.

Suddenly, the young man launched several fierce attacks, forcing the fat and thin duo back slightly, revealing a face with thick eyebrows, large eyes, and a simple, honest expression, flushed red as he shouted, "You two have pursued me relentlessly, aren't you afraid I'll risk all my cultivation to perish with you?"

The fat man snickered coldly after hearing this, "You, a mere early Foundation Establishment cultivator, dare to boast? Hand over that item, and my brother and I, in a good mood, might even leave you a complete corpse. Otherwise! We'll not only grind your bones to dust, but also extract your soul to refine it, making you suffer the agony of eternal reincarnation!"

"Dream on! If this item were mine, and I lost it today due to inferior skill, then so be it. But this is not mine. That person showed me kindness, so this item cannot fulfill your desires. I never expected that you two, who usually call me brother, would harbor greedy intentions for this treasure today! It truly makes me look down on you!" The man surnamed Wei said, a hint of hatred in his eyes, knowing from the fat man's words that there would be no peaceful resolution.

"Brother, enough talk, let's take him down first!" The thin man, who hadn't spoken until now, seemed unwilling to drag out the fight. He loudly reminded the fat man, then activated a spell, causing a talisman to explode in the air, transforming into a fireball that whistled towards the man surnamed Wei.

Without a word, the man surnamed Wei formed a spell, and a water sword shot towards the fireball. Instantly, explosions erupted, and white mist filled the area for dozens of feet around. Taking advantage of this interval, the fat man surged forward again, a black iron chain in his hand. One end of the chain remained in the big man's hands, while the other end, thrown forward, coiled like giant pythons, continuously wrapping and whistling towards the young cultivator named Wei, looking utterly ferocious. The young man could only wield his long sword into a dazzling silver ball, barely fending off the relentless assault of the black chain. Meanwhile, the thin man next to him, like a venomous snake lurking, stared menacingly at Wei Changchun, seemingly waiting for a weakness to appear.

Concealed behind the hill, Ziyun and her maid were now communicating telepathically, their cherry lips barely moving.

"Miss, those two fat and thin men make me uncomfortable. They're radiating evil aura and are engaging in murder and treasure snatching. Why don't we help that young man?"

"Bier, let's observe the situation first. We shouldn't be blind and end up saving the wrong person." Ziyun smiled faintly, neither confirming nor denying.

A flash of light passed, and the young man surnamed Wei beneath the hill suddenly roared loudly. Intense explosions echoed, and the fat man's iron chain spun and twisted violently, scattering. The man surnamed Wei, too, looked as if his spiritual power was overdrawn, his face instantly turning pale. Seeing this, the fat man did not get angry but rejoiced instead, a cruel sneer subtly appearing at the corner of his mouth.

Sure enough, at the same time, the young man surnamed Wei let out a miserable shriek, his face contorted in pain. A walnut-sized hole appeared on his shoulder, pierced clean through, and blood gushed out. The thin man, at this moment, was holding a pair of strange, ox-horn-like cone-shaped magical artifacts, and said grimly, "Wei, how does my Soul Gathering Drill taste?"

"Brothers Mo, why must you do this? We have been friends for decades. Especially a few years ago, Mo Er, when your cultivation went awry, if I hadn't asked my master for a 'Clear Malignancy Pill,' you probably wouldn't have even kept your life, let alone successfully reached Foundation Establishment and truly entered the cultivation world today?" The young man surnamed Wei, seeing the unfavorable situation, couldn't help but soften his tone, resorting to emotional appeals, hoping to sway the two.

"Hmph! Blame yourself for being careless! Such a great treasure discovered by us two. We can't compare to Brother Wei, a core disciple of the Tiansha Sect, living a life of comfort and freedom. With this great treasure, we brothers also have a chance to obtain a large amount of spirit stones, and even have the chance to attempt to break through to the elusive Core Formation realm!" The thin man, who should have been called "Mo Er," did not reply, but the fat man interjected.

The young man surnamed Wei seemed to want to say more after hearing these words. Suddenly, a cold and powerful divine sense abruptly appeared, swiftly enveloping his entire body. The young man surnamed Wei felt as if his entire skeletal frame was about to fall apart. In his horror, he glanced at the Mo brothers out of the corner of his eye. He found that the Mo brothers seemed to be under several times more pressure than himself; they were already on their knees, supporting themselves with one hand, struggling desperately.

"You two, if you don't want to die, get out quickly. At this moment, I'm not interested in dirtying my hands. However, if you're unwilling to leave, I don't mind letting you sleep here forever." Suddenly, an emotionless female voice echoed above the three men's heads.

"Senior, spare us, senior, please spare our lives! My brother and I will leave immediately, immediately..." The fat and thin duo's faces twisted in terror as they heard the words, begging for mercy incessantly.

"I'll count to ten. If I still see your shadows at ten, you won't need to leave. One..." With that, the Mo brothers suddenly felt the spiritual pressure on them lighten, but the woman's counting voice reached their ears.

"Two..." "Run!" The Mo brothers, utilizing some strange spell, pressed back to back and transformed into a streak of black light, rapidly flying in opposite directions. Their escape speed would startle even ordinary Core Formation cultivators; they vanished in a blink of an eye.

"Hehe, Miss, those two expressionless fellows are quite good at escaping. They can almost rival a second-grade demon beast, the Black Crow King!" Bier watched the Mo brothers leave, giggling as she spoke to Ziyun, looking extremely happy.

"You silly girl, those two are much worse than the Black Crow King. The Black Crow King eats carrion, but these two want to eat living people." As she spoke, Ziyun, dressed in a jade-green palace dress, gracefully emerged from behind the hill, a faint smile on her face, surveying the stunned young man surnamed Wei.

"What is your name? From your combat methods just now, are you a cultivator of the Tiansha Sect? And what is this so-called great treasure? May I see it?" The young man surnamed Wei was still in a daze, but Ziyun didn't allow him to continue. Her lips parted slightly, and she asked with an even tone.

The young man's face trembled upon hearing this. He first bowed respectfully and said, "Junior Wei Changchun, indeed a core internal affairs disciple of the Tiansha Sect. Thank you, Senior, for saving my life." After speaking, a hint of hesitation appeared in his eyes, but it was fleeting. Wei Changchun gritted his teeth, unstrapped the bundle from his back, and presented it to Ziyun with both hands, saying softly, "I dare not defy Senior's command. The great treasure is indeed what junior holds in my hands. This trip was specifically to return this item."

Ziyun's curiosity was piqued as she saw the long, wrapped bundle presented by Wei Changchun. With a flick of her wrist, the bundle flew into her delicate hands. Even through the coarse linen cloth, a powerful spiritual pressure surged forth, and a solemn expression appeared on Ziyun's face. Bier couldn't help but lean in to look. Ziyun gradually unraveled the package layer by layer. When the last layer of cloth was removed, Bier couldn't help but exclaim, "Oh!"

Inside the cloth, there was an ancient-looking long sword, about three feet long. The entire blade was sheathed in an unknown leather scabbard. The scabbard was simple and elegant, and on the bronze hilt, faint winding patterns could be seen, reflecting a pale green light. The entire sword seemed to be filled with immense spiritual energy fluctuations, yet this energy seemed to be restrained, appearing faintly and emanating an elusive sense of mystery.

"It is indeed an ancient treasure. How did you obtain it? And why do you say it belongs to someone else?" Although Ziyun felt the immense power contained beneath the sword's ancient exterior, she somehow felt a little uncomfortable.

"Senior, it's like this..." Wei Changchun's face turned serious upon hearing this, and he recounted the entire story in detail. Ziyun listened with increasing solemnity, her expression becoming serious. The maid Bier constantly gasped in astonishment, marveling repeatedly, interrupting Wei Changchun from time to time to ask a question or two.

It turned out that Wei Changchun had two twin brothers, both early Foundation Establishment cultivators. Nine years ago, seeking opportunities to break through their bottlenecks, they traveled far and wide. In a desolate mountain range in Qi State with thin spiritual energy, they discovered a cave. Driven by curiosity, the two joined forces to enter the cave, only to find a tightly sealed stone door at the end of the passage. They cautiously opened the stone door. Inside the stone cave, moonlight stones emitted a soft glow. The cave was empty, except for a sword deeply embedded in the stone platform in the center of the cave, mostly submerged.

The brothers, unable to resist the temptation, struggled for seven days and seven nights to pull the sword out. Unexpectedly, as soon as the sword was pulled, rolling black smoke surged out from the sword's hole, transforming into countless ghost faces. In moments, the cave was filled with them. These ghost faces sometimes coalesced into a large bald old man, sometimes transformed into various men, women, and children, emitting piercing screams as they rushed towards the two. The Wei brothers were greatly alarmed and struggled with all their might. The elder brother even self-detonated his body to gain a glimmer of hope for his own survival. However, their strength was indeed too low. Just as they were in dire straits, on the verge of death and destruction, explosions suddenly rang out within the cave. A white-robed old man abruptly appeared in the cave, using thunderous methods to rescue Wei Changchun. He then re-inserted the sword into the stone platform, pushing it even deeper into the original sword hole, until the ancient sword was embedded up to its hilt.

Wei Changchun recounted the tale, and unknowingly, several hours had passed. "So this sword was actually refined by Elder Yun Jianzheng, the Grand Elder of Luoyun Sect in Xi State, specifically to suppress a mutated ghostly entity within Luohun Mountain in Qi State. No wonder it's so powerful. You two pulling the sword out on the day the ghostly entity was about to break through nearly ruined Elder Yun's efforts. Making you guard it for nine years and then return the ancient sword to its rightful owner is considered a minor punishment. Elder Yun, known as 'Luoyun's Pillar,' has always detested evil. This punishment for you is considered light." Ziyun said, her brows gradually unfurrowing, offering some comfort to Wei Changchun after hearing his account.

"What are you saying, Senior? Elder Yun did not take his anger out on my brothers and me, only making me guard it for a few years. He is truly benevolent. It's just a pity that my elder brother unfortunately perished. Whenever I think of this, I am filled with endless regret." Perhaps touching on a sorrowful topic, Wei Changchun spoke with a mournful expression.

"Was there nothing else in that cave besides this sword?" Bier asked, full of curiosity.

"That... there was nothing else. Elder Yun did pick up a pebble in the cave and examined it repeatedly, but the cave was full of various pebbles, and I, too, had curiously looked closely, finding nothing unusual. Elder Yun didn't say much. I saw that his expression was not good, and I had just caused trouble, so I didn't dare to speak. Elder Yun merely casually tossed the pebble into a corner. As for anything else, there was nothing unusual in that cave." Wei Changchun seemed to recall for a long time, as if struggling to remember, before slowly replying.

Upon hearing this, a slight surprise appeared on Ziyun's face. She suddenly turned to Wei Changchun and gently said, "May I ask, Fellow Daoist Wei, if you could take me to see that cave?"

***

Several days later, thousands of feet above the edge of Qi State, a faint streak of light swiftly flew towards Qianhuan Sect. Within the light were two beautiful women, precisely Ziyun and Bier.

"Miss, this pebble is indeed strange. If it weren't for your meticulousness, it would have been truly difficult to discover!" Bier now held a black pebble in her hand, which looked remarkably ordinary.

"It's not that I'm meticulous, it's just that I already guessed Senior Yun had discovered something strange. I didn't expect this stone to be a peculiar sound transmission talisman. Not only does it have no spiritual energy fluctuations and an ordinary appearance, but one also needs a strong divine sense to perceive the message within it. If you like it, keep it and play with it." Ziyun smiled as she replied to Bier, yet a careful observer would notice that she seemed a bit distracted.

It turned out that after Ziyun discovered this strange sound transmission talisman, only upon invading it with her divine sense did she realize that within the jade talisman, an ancient cultivation technique was recorded: "Ghost Killing Art" — *All mortal desires are illusions; extinguish love and desire, sever all emotional ties…* Ziyun sighed softly after reading it. This cultivation technique was astonishingly fast to cultivate and incredibly powerful, but it had a fatal flaw. Once cultivation achieved some success, it would seal off emotions and extinguish love, making the cultivator cold-hearted, decisive in killing, and devoid of compassion. Although Ziyun coveted this technique, she was unwilling to become a cold and heartless monster. The path of cultivation involves comprehending the cycle of life and death, but that doesn't mean one should sever all affection, kinship, love, and hatred. Otherwise, what difference would there be between a human cultivator and plants or stubborn rocks? Thinking of this, Ziyun gently shook her head. Under the moonlight, the escaping light vanished into the distance, and everything became silent once more.

***

Months later, the Qianhuan Sect sent out invitations far and wide. The youngest son of the sect's Enforcement Elder, Du Xinran, the Seventeenth Young Master Du Wushuang of the prominent Du family in Meng Prefecture, was to hold a dual cultivation ceremony with his junior sister, Wang Ziyun, the exceptionally talented daughter of the Wang family from Qi State, during the season of blossoming spring flowers. For a time, sects friendly with the Qianhuan Sect and the Du and Wang families visited one after another, presenting various congratulatory gifts.

On the day of the dual cultivation ceremony, the markets and small towns below Qianhuan Peak in Meng Prefecture, where Qianhuan Sect was located, were adorned with colorful, festive decorations on almost every street. Sounds of bells, chimes, and drums filled the air. Listening closely, besides the music, there were many congratulatory voices from the throngs of people. Along both sides of the winding path leading to Qianhuan Sect's peak, vibrant, exotic flowers were planted, emitting waves of fragrant aroma.

Behind Qianhuan Sect's main hall was an exceedingly tranquil garden. At this moment, two young people were whispering. "Junior Sister, I have admired you for many years, and I never thought that today I would finally achieve my long-cherished desire. At this moment, a myriad of emotions fills me, truly speechless with emotion." The speaker was a young man, handsome and tall, though upon closer inspection, he possessed a certain delicate beauty. This was none other than Du Wushuang, the Seventeenth Young Master of the Du family.

"Senior Brother, what are you saying? Now Yun'er will soon be Senior Brother's. From now on, I will wholeheartedly pursue the Grand Dao with Senior Brother. Senior Brother must cure your little habit of flirting. It's not that Yun'er is mocking Senior Brother, but it's to avoid gossip from others and losing face for father-in-law and the Du family." Ziyun said with a hint of teasing in her voice, smiling as she looked at Du Wushuang. After all, no matter how much she might dislike it in her heart, at this moment, she could only wholeheartedly regard the person before her as her lifelong reliance.

"What are you saying, Junior Sister? Cough, cough, I'm not that kind of person. By the way, among today's guests who brought gifts, there was a young man from the Tiansha Sect who seemed quite familiar with you. The gift he gave you wasn't light either—a four-eyed spiritual fox cub. Tsk tsk, even I was a bit tempted." Du Wushuang was quite embarrassed by Ziyun's words, but as a veteran of romantic escapades, his thick skin was boundless. After a brief thought, he playfully diverted the topic elsewhere.

"You're talking about the person whose life I once saved, so he harbors gratitude. He said he came to congratulate, but it was mostly out of ninety-nine percent a desire to repay my kindness. However, that spiritual fox is truly adorable; I really like it." Ziyun smiled sweetly and admitted openly. She looked exquisitely charming, embodying countless alluring styles...

***

Time flowed like water. Seven years had passed since the bustling dual cultivation ceremony of the Qianhuan Sect. For these seven years, Ziyun had lived peacefully, her days uneventful. Under the protection of the Qianhuan Sect, the Wang family had finally managed to retain control of Qi State's market and their position as the foremost aristocratic family. Meanwhile, Ziyun had felt her cultivation approaching a bottleneck recently. With Du Xinran's guidance, her cultivation had significantly advanced over these years, leaving Du Wushuang far behind. This, too, brought Ziyun a great deal of comfort.

However, today Ziyun had no mind for cultivation. She was now six months pregnant. "Alas, neither too early nor too late, but your arrival, I wonder if it's a blessing or a curse?" Gently caressing her belly, Ziyun smiled tenderly, looking utterly blissful.

"Miss, this is of course a great blessing! In the future, whether it's a boy or a girl, our Wang family will have an extra hope. Miss can also rest easy from now on and focus on cultivation, no longer needing to be troubled by that unfaithful man." Bier spoke the first half excitedly, but when she got to the second half, her small mouth pouted high. In recent years, Du Wushuang's philandering ways had grown even more pronounced. Coupled with his father's deep favoritism, he had become increasingly reckless, with women around him changing like butterflies among flowers. Yet, strangely enough, Ziyun herself had never caught him in the act or encountered any evidence. Perhaps it was because Du Wushuang still harbored some fear of his wife and dared not be too ostentatious, plus Ziyun herself possessed beauty that could captivate nations, so Du Wushuang truly loved her from the bottom of his heart.

Seeing Ziyun frown slightly, Bier continued, "Miss, you are four months pregnant now. Bier shouldn't be saying this, but that person has been behaving even more inappropriately lately. Bier has seen him with other women several times, but what's strange is that these times are different from before. I've seen him with the same woman multiple times. That woman wears a thin silk veil, so her features are unclear, but her waist sways like a water snake – you can tell at a glance she's no good!" Bier's face showed her displeasure. It seemed the young girl had been holding it in for days. After all, in Qianhuan Sect, Ziyun was her closest and most trusted person. Some things, it was inconvenient to tell Miss, and holding them in for too long was inevitably difficult.

Ziyun looked at Bier, took her hand and held it in her palm. She said nothing, only let out a soft sigh.

Within Qianhuan Sect, on a peak far from Ziyun, stood a pavilion several dozen feet high, appearing inconspicuous in the night. This "Qianhua Pavilion" was a secluded courtyard of the Qianhuan Sect, rarely visited. Now, a beautiful young woman in a green palace dress had appeared inside Qianhua Pavilion at some unknown time. She looked about twenty-five or twenty-six, exquisitely beautiful, and emanated an indescribable, unapproachable coldness. Beside her stood a man in white, who was Ziyun's husband, Du Wushuang. At this moment, the two stood side by side, and Du Wushuang seemed to be constantly trying to persuade the woman beside him.
