Chapter 67: Immortality

The white snake arrived, looking down at all the mutated humans.

It was enormous, more than two meters in diameter, coiled into a snowy white serpent mountain. The sight was terrifying.

In the mountains and forests, the smell of blood was strong. Many mutated humans lay dead, some torn apart by fierce beasts, others with their skulls ripped open by savage birds—a gruesome scene.

There were also many corpses of mutated beasts on the ground, including their leaders, such as the wild boar larger than an armored vehicle and the golden-furred monkey.

In a short time, at least eight hundred mutated humans had died, while fewer than a hundred mutated beasts had perished, a stark disparity.

With the white snake's return, the mutated humans were on the verge of despair.

Chu Feng worried about what had happened to the yellow ox, taken away by the big black ox. Could it escape safely? He dared not think further.

No one could tell how powerful such an enormous white snake, possibly over a thousand years old, truly was. The big black ox was no match for it.

"King of Mount Taihang, we meant no offense. We were unaware this was your territory. Please forgive us," Lin Yaoyao said. Her long, straight legs moved gently as she stepped forward through the forest, facing the white snake.

Usually aloof and beautiful, she now tried to appear gentle. A slight smile made her stunning face radiant, causing many mutated humans to feel a sense of daze.

The white snake lowered its head, looking down at her, its eyes still icy cold.

The mutated humans were astonished; at such a terrifying moment, Lin Yaoyao possessed the courage to step forward and speak to the white snake. It was truly extraordinary.

As the wind blew, her long hair billowed. Her delicate face showed sincerity, and her beautiful eyes were calm, devoid of fear.

At this moment, however, she appeared somewhat frail. Originally, she had an excellent physique, tall and perfect at 170 centimeters, but compared to the enormous white snake, she seemed minuscule.

"King of Mount Taihang, please forgive our recklessness..." Jiang Luoshen also spoke, her voice soft and low, surprisingly attempting to negotiate compensation with the white snake.

At such a tense moment, the national goddess displayed such courage, shaming many male mutated humans. In the final critical moments, it was two women who stepped forward.

"Hiss..."

The large green snake appeared, flicking its tongue and riding the wind. Half its body was severed, and its eyes glowed with hatred as it stared at Vajra and searched for Chu Feng.

Seeing its mutilated state, the white snake's basin-sized eyes instantly grew cold, sweeping over all the mutated humans.

Everyone's scalp tingled; they knew something terrible was about to happen. The white snake's killing intent was escalating, and many felt as if they were being frozen, their bodies stiffening.

The large green snake hissed, seemingly conveying information.

"Given your nature, humans, you would eventually enter Mount Taihang to attack mutated beasts. Rather than wait, I will kill you until you feel the pain!" the white snake declared. Its voice was beautiful yet cold, resonating clearly through the forest. It had decided to act.

Clearly, this battle was unavoidable. It had planned this for a long time, having observed humans to train its forces.

Boom!

Its massive serpent body moved, diving down, breaking the sound barrier. It descended with a terrifying aura, like a cascading silver river.

Lin Yaoyao and Jiang Luoshen reacted swiftly. Despite their impressive figures, they moved with incredible agility, tracing graceful arcs as they each flipped and darted to either side.

Boom!

When the white snake's enormous body landed, dozens were killed. A single pounce caused horrific casualties. Its body was harder than refined iron; who could withstand such a pounce?

The mutated beasts trembled, retreating frantically to clear the battlefield for the white snake.

Rumble!

The white snake moved, its massive body sweeping through. It was like a disaster; the ground cracked, small hills were torn apart, and its hundreds of meters of snowy white body swept away everything in its path.

Boulders flew, ancient trees snapped, and small hills collapsed! It was like the end of the world!

"Ah..."

Screams of agony erupted, one after another. In an instant, at least several hundred people died.

Some mutated humans, capable of flight, spread their wings and soared into the sky. However, the white snake opened its mouth and spewed a sheet of silver light, tearing these individuals to pieces and killing them instantly.

"Fight to the death!" someone roared, realizing there was no escape.

Those who survived were naturally extraordinary. One mutated human transformed into a giant made of flames, lunging forward and turning even rock into molten lava. This was a master. Unfortunately, the white snake froze him with a single breath, then made him explode on the spot.

"Hold on! A disciple of Sakyamuni happens to be nearby and will arrive soon!" shouted the old man from Bodhi Gene. He fought with all his might against the white snake.

Everyone was shocked; this old man's combat power was terrifying. He formed a lion's seal with his hands, his punches generating fearsome winds and roars like a lion. One could see the rocks around him crumbling. This was a master no weaker than Vajra or the Silver-Winged Heavenly God, capable of standing alongside the four top-tier mutated humans.

Bang, bang, bang!

The lion's seals he formed struck the white snake's body repeatedly. These blows were powerful enough to shatter massive boulders weighing tens of thousands of pounds, yet they had no effect.

The white snake looked down at him. With a sweep of its body, the old man was sent flying, crashing against the mountain wall, blood gushing from his mouth.

"I'll fight you to the death!" Vajra roared, uttering such desperate words that showed his eyes were bloodshot from rage. He wasn't wielding his Buddhist blade but instead held a demon-subduing vajra.

The vajra was small, only a foot long, resembling an artifact placed on a temple altar rather than a true weapon. But now this vajra glowed, transforming from rustic to crystalline. With a boom, it emitted an explosive roar as soon as it struck mid-air, an astonishing sight.

Boom!

The vajra struck the white snake's body, sending sparks flying. It only caused a slight tremor in its body; it didn't break its skin, and no blood flowed.

The white snake moved, its massive body directly crushing Vajra, almost coiling around him. The sight was terrifying. Ultimately, Vajra broke free from near the serpent's body, his mouth full of blood. His skin was translucent like topaz, shimmering with light.

He possessed an indestructible body, his mysterious ability. Had it not been for this, he would have been turned into pulp by the white snake's repeated impacts, yet he had survived.

The white snake was cold and merciless. Its enormous body swept across the mountainous terrain like an apocalypse. The ground cracked open, and nothing remained unbroken in the path of its silver body.

Boulders weighing over sixty tons exploded, and a nearby mountain peak was leveled! In just one sweep, at least a thousand mutated humans died instantly. They were no match; the difference was too vast.

Chu Feng, relying on his keen intuition, repeatedly dodged danger. He did not act rashly.

Soon, he had no choice but to draw his great bow because he saw Lin Yaoyao might be in danger; the white snake's tail end was sweeping through the forest and could reach her. This was a premonition, sensed by his divine perception.

Indeed, as the white snake swept through the forest, it was like a cascading galaxy, causing mountains to crumble and the earth to crack, about to engulf Lin Yaoyao.

Chu Feng didn't hesitate. He chose a snowy white bone arrow, crafted entirely from dragon teeth, and activated his Great Thunderclap Breathing Technique. As he attempted to resonate with the great bow, the sound of thunder instantly erupted.

Whoosh!

A snowy white arrow shot forth, wreathed in lightning. Its speed was incredible, emitting explosive crackles.

Thud!

The arrow struck precisely at the white snake's tail end. The serpent's tail instantly jerked upwards, changing direction after being hit by immense force. But that was all; no scales fell off, and no serpent blood flowed.

That's how terrifying the white snake was! If it had been the middle of the serpent's body, Chu Feng wouldn't have even tried, knowing it would be a wasted effort. Only the tail end offered a slim chance.

The serpent's tail grazed the ground, cleaving through swathes of giant trees and carving marks into the mountain wall, passing perilously close to Lin Yaoyao's side. Even Lin Yaoyao, usually so calm, felt a chill. She swiftly dodged, escaping the dangerous area.

At that moment, the Silver-Winged Heavenly God also arrived, having seen Lin Yaoyao in danger.

The white snake, indifferent, glanced at Lin Yaoyao, then looked at Chu Feng and the Silver-Winged Heavenly God. With a hum, it swayed its body and swept its attack again.

Bang!

The Silver-Winged Heavenly God was too close to evade. He was flung away, coughing up large mouthfuls of blood, one arm fractured. Fortunately, his proximity meant he only suffered a collision; the force wasn't the most terrifying compared to what others endured.

Chu Feng, however, was different. He was far away, and by the time the serpent's body swung towards him, its speed and power had reached their maximum! His scalp tingled. He ran at extreme speed, but even with his keen divine perception that warned him of danger, it was almost too late.

Whoosh!

A white figure rushed over, grabbed him, and flew him rapidly along the ground before they both leaped into a gorge.

Rumble!

Above their heads, the river-like snowy white serpent body swept by, causing mountains to crumble and the earth to crack. Everything on the surface was destroyed.

Lu Shiyun saved him because she was relatively close and both were fleeing in the same direction, so she pulled him along. She had a pair of radiant, snowy white wings, moving incredibly fast, carrying both her and Chu Feng to safety from this catastrophe.

Chu Feng was surprised. He felt that Lu Shiyun's true strength must be formidable; at the very least, her intuition was sharp, allowing her to anticipate and avoid danger.

"Thank you, Little White Tiger!" Chu Feng had barely opened his mouth when he knew he had said the wrong thing.

Lu Shiyun, dressed in white clothes and pants, looking youthful and vibrant, even her shoes and socks were pristine white, elegant and ethereal. She still smiled sweetly even in this desperate situation. But upon hearing Chu Feng's words, several dark lines instantly appeared on her fair forehead!

"My apologies, a slip of the tongue!" Chu Feng quickly corrected himself.

On the ground, terrified screams rose and fell. In just a short time, the mutated humans suffered heavy casualties.

When Chu Feng and Lu Shiyun emerged from the gorge, the forest was covered in blood, a horrifying sight. At least two or three thousand mutated humans had died. In such a short time, more than half of the mutated humans had perished!

In the distance, Lin Yaoyao was fleeing, dragging the heavily wounded Silver-Winged Heavenly God. The old man with a youthful face and white hair from Heavenly God Biological had already fallen in battle there.

Vajra and Jiang Luoshen were also fleeing for their lives, rushing in different directions. They were no match for the white snake.

The old man from Bodhi Gene was covering their retreat, holding Vajra's vajra. He roared and charged forward. With a boom, a brilliant light erupted there.

The white snake spewed silver light from its mouth, shattering the vajra and tearing the old man into pieces, leaving him to die a gruesome death there.

"Coordinates confirmed, fire!" Lin Yaoyao's body emitted a soft glow as she flew close to the forest, carrying the severely wounded Silver-Winged Heavenly God. At the same time, she contacted the outside world, requesting an immediate bombardment of the area.

There was no other way; any further delay would mean everyone's death. Then, Lin Yaoyao shouted to everyone, "Run!"

Boom!

In the distance, a flash of fire erupted, breaking the sound barrier and creating an explosion cloud as it entered Mount Taihang, heading towards the white snake. A missile! And it was a large missile with astonishing power!

The mutated humans inside Mount Taihang hadn't seen it yet, but they already guessed that the military had likely deployed terrifying thermal weapons!

"Run!" many mutated humans screamed. Those still alive fled frantically into the distance.

Chu Feng's expression changed. He felt an immense crisis looming and ran wildly through the forest. This time, Lu Shiyun didn't bother with him; she couldn't afford to. She flapped her snowy white light wings, swiftly fleeing at a low altitude.

Chu Feng crossed a mountain ridge, feeling slightly relieved, but continued to run forward.

Boom!

A colossal explosion erupted behind him, with towering flames. The entire mountain area was blown away.

Boom, boom, boom...

One after another, at least six or seven missiles flew in, all striking the same spot. Nearby mountain peaks collapsed, and the white snake was engulfed in flames. Finally, silence fell.

Chu Feng felt intense pain; he had been hit by several rocks but thankfully hadn't suffered any broken bones. The recent mountain collapse and ground tremors were terrifying, causing immense destruction to the forest. He estimated that even if the white snake died, many mutated humans would also perish. The missiles were too powerful, and their blast radius was too wide.

Indeed, once the calm returned, fewer than a thousand mutated humans remained alive. They emerged one after another from craters and behind broken mountains, all stained with blood.

"Oh my god, it's still alive, it didn't die!" someone shrieked at that moment.

In the distance, there were no peaks or ridges; everything had been leveled by the missiles. From the scorched earth, a colossal creature rose. Its body was entirely white, with only a few places where scales had fallen off, revealing traces of blood. Apart from that, there were no other wounds.

"It's too terrifying, it can't be killed!" The mutated humans trembled, on the verge of despair.

"Over two hundred mutated beasts perished here. I will slaughter two cities as an offering," the white snake stated, its voice chillingly low.

Everyone was horrified by its words. Most of the mutated beasts had fled earlier, but some had perished here, blown to smithereens. The white snake sought revenge, intending to massacre cities to honor the fallen beasts.

"How can it not be killed? Even large missiles are useless?" Even Vajra found it unacceptable.

"Earlier, its entire body emitted a white light, protecting itself. I don't know what kind of mysterious power that was," Jiang Luoshen murmured.

"Hm?" Suddenly, a look of joy appeared on her face as a message came through on her communicator.

"What is it?"

"Sakyamuni's disciple has arrived!" Jiang Luoshen exclaimed with delight, her smile captivating.

Just then, a person burst into Mount Taihang. Their speed was astonishing; each step covered a vast distance, as if shrinking the ground beneath them, as they quickly reached White Serpent Ridge.

"King of Mount Taihang, your killing intent is too strong!" he called out from a great distance, but both he and his voice arrived almost simultaneously.
