Chapter 151: Passed a Heavenly Tribulation

Although they were within the Peacock clan, other mutants such as the Azure Wolf, Golden Eagle, and Pangolin were also present.

At that moment, a young man stood up. He was of medium build, fair-skinned yet not delicate, with a pair of piercing eyes. He was a descendant of the Azure Wolf King.

"Everyone," he announced, "eliminating King Chu the Devil is a monumental undertaking. We should plan meticulously to achieve the greatest possible deterrent effect on the world!"

Many mutants turned their heads, finding merit in his words.

"How do you propose we do that?" a quasi-king from the Peacock clan inquired.

"Build momentum, sensationalize, and amplify this outcome!" The young Azure Wolf's eyes burned with fervor as he straightforwardly expressed his idea.

He even openly admitted that these methods mimicked humans, essentially using their own strategies against them.

The young Azure Wolf suggested that from then on, they should release a photo of Chu Feng enduring hardship at regular intervals to capture the world's attention. Finally, at the decisive moment, presenting his head would be incredibly impactful!

"Feasible!"

Many mutants nodded, agreeing that this approach was viable and would yield astonishing results, effectively intimidating the world.

They already had five or six photos in hand, which was sufficient.

These mutants were decisive and moved quickly. Their primary motivation was the recent frustration caused by a single young human king, who had inexplicably managed to suppress all other factions.

Since Chu Feng was to be beheaded, it was definitely worth a grand display!

When the first image was released, it didn't cause much of a stir. However, as the second and third appeared, the internet indeed became restless.

People were shocked to see that Chu Feng was caught in a mysterious area, struck by lightning, and coughing blood. This was undoubtedly a major event.

What exactly was happening?

What kind of region was that, and why were continuous bolts of lightning descending from the sky? It was incredibly bizarre and somewhat terrifying!

When the fourth image appeared, many hearts fluttered. A brilliant blue lightning bolt struck Chu Feng, sending him flying sideways, amidst a shower of lightning and blood.

"Boss, where are you? What's going on?!" Du Huaijin, Ouyang Qing, and others could no longer sit still.

At Yuxu Palace, Lu Tong also abruptly stood up, gazing out the window with an unreadable expression.

Within a very short time, these few images became the central topic, drawing attention from all sides.

"Is King Chu the Devil... undergoing a tribulation?" Jiang Luoshen exclaimed, her beautiful eyes wide as she stared at the images.

Many tried calling Chu Feng's communicator, but there was no answer; he could not be reached.

Major conglomerates were alerted and began to follow the situation closely.

"The mutants have finally made their move to eliminate Chu Feng and establish their dominance!"

All major powers were astute, making an immediate judgment: this was a counterattack and retaliation from the mutants!

In their estimation, Chu Feng was facing his most severe crisis yet and would very likely be killed. The mutants would absolutely not allow him to live, intending to use this as a warning to the entire world.

However, if he truly managed to survive, the title "King Chu the Devil" would become even more renowned and be acknowledged by all factions; even beast kings would not dare to act rashly against him.

The final image appeared, showing Chu Feng covered in blood, his condition even worse, engulfed by a bolt of lightning. His survival was uncertain!

No one knew if he could survive that strike.

Furthermore, this image included another mutant: an avian king, glowing purple all over, suspended in mid-air, coldly looking down at Chu Feng.

This created a stark contrast: a king among the mutants appeared, seemingly unfazed by the lightning, looking down contemptuously at the human king-level expert.

Below this image, a simple and direct caption read: "King Chu the Devil? Too weak, easily defeated!"

The internet erupted, and many sensed that something terrible was afoot!

People realized that the mutants were serious; they would not rest until Chu Feng was dead. From the moment the first image was released, everything had been within their control, and they had already determined that Chu Feng was doomed.

This sent shockwaves, and unrest spread across various regions.

Major conglomerates also lamented that the mutants were exceptionally ruthless this time, surely possessing a surefire method to kill, which explained their audacity in releasing the images.

Everyone understood that the mutants were deliberately orchestrating this, releasing an image at regular intervals, progressively building up to the final announcement of Chu Feng's demise!

Many mutants were elated; this was both a surprise and incredibly good news for them.

As the situation stirred up, many mutants cheered.

"The Avian King is mighty! Today he will demonstrate his invincible power!"

"As the saying goes, 'Don't show off, or you'll get struck by lightning.' King Chu the Devil perfectly embodies that, haha…"

The mutants mocked him, unbridled. They had held their breath for many days, and today they felt particularly relieved and utterly satisfied.

Many humans were furious but helpless, anticipating imminent bad news. A significant number believed that Chu Feng's death would soon be announced.

In Shuntian, inside the Dynasty Entertainment Club.

A group of young mutants, including Hu Sheng, Xiong Kun, and Lu Qing, had gathered. They, too, had received the news; some were shocked, some overjoyed, and others burst into laughter.

Not long ago, they had been severely suppressed by Chu Feng, and today they finally felt they had vented their frustration.

"King Chu the Devil has his day too?!" Xiong Kun was extremely excited. Just yesterday, he had been desperately pleading for help everywhere, fearing that Chu Feng would annihilate their clan.

However, today the situation abruptly reversed.

Suddenly, he noticed Hu Sheng remained silent, his narrow eyes gleaming, but he wouldn't speak.

This sent a shiver down Xiong Kun's spine. He dreaded Hu Sheng's cautious demeanor; this fox had practiced "closed-mouth meditation" twice before, and both times it had preceded significant events.

"Hu Sheng, what do you mean? Don't scare me!" Xiong Kun glared at him, and the others also turned to look.

"Wait a moment, don't rush to celebrate," Hu Sheng said, without speaking ill of Chu Feng.

"I can't wait!" someone exclaimed, eager to celebrate on social media platforms and express his joy.

Suddenly, Xiong Kun's communicator rang. It was his grandfather, the Black Bear King. When he answered, the old Black Bear immediately warned him to stay silent for now, threatening to beat him senseless if he dared to utter another word!

"What does the old man mean? Is he being overly cautious?!" Xiong Kun grumbled, though he felt somewhat sheepish. Last time, he had indeed almost "tricked his grandfather."

He had mistakenly believed Chu Feng intended to wipe out their clan and had reported it to his grandfather, almost causing a massive misunderstanding that would have harmed his grandfather.

The internet exploded into a clamor.

The impact of this event was immense. Mutants were invigorated, many unable to resist coming forward to make various extreme statements, celebrating prematurely and expressing their joy.

As for many humans, they sighed and fumed, yet felt powerless.

Some mutants even ostentatiously declared that this day should be designated "Demon Extermination Day."

"The Avian King is majestic and powerful, treating Chu Feng as nothing, saying he's too weak and can be easily suppressed. How exhilarating!"

Without a doubt, this moment belonged to the mutants, who had begun their premature celebrations.

However, the final image of Chu Feng's severed head was conspicuously absent. Many mutants waited, growing increasingly impatient.

Kunlun, the Gate of Hell.

The bellowing of a bull shook the heavens like thunder.

The Great Black Ox raised its hoof, unleashing unparalleled ferocity. It was unclear how many times it had struck, sending the Tibetan Antelope King flying.

"Dare to touch my brother? Are you tired of living?!"

It stood upright, chased furiously, and then with another resounding thud, struck the Tibetan Antelope King, sending it flying sideways once more.

"You're going too far. Are you taking advantage of our good nature?"

The Yellow Ox also attacked, wielding the Ox Demon Fist. Its hoof rose like roaring thunder, accompanied by dazzling golden light, sending the Tibetan Antelope King spiraling into the air, bleeding from all seven orifices.

"Again!" The Great Black Ox waited in the distance. As the Tibetan Antelope King fell, it rushed forward again, swinging its pair of black hooves, creating sonic booms as they surpassed the speed of sound.

The Tibetan Antelope King was in a truly pathetic state; its two massive horns had been cleanly severed at the base by Chu Feng's flying sword, severely crippling its power.

Upon their arrival, both oxen were enraged. They told Chu Feng to rest aside and decisively took action.

The two oxen were incredibly violent. In mere moments, they treated the formidable Tibetan Antelope King like a plaything, pummeling it back and forth, leaving it with broken bones and torn tendons all over.

Since the Woodpecker King had been personally killed by Chu Feng, only the unfortunate Tibetan Antelope King remained as their punching bag, enduring a furious beating.

This was only due to the intervention of other king-level creatures; otherwise, the two oxen would have simply killed it.

This was Kunlun, and while the law of the jungle was unavoidable, the beast kings had, after all, formed an alliance and established rules, generally forbidding beast kings from killing one another.

"Alright, Old Ox, go easy. A living Tibetan Antelope King is better than a dead one. Let it serve you… as your sheep and horse." A beast king advised, cleverly replacing the idiom "to be your ox and horse."

A group of formidable individuals arrived, most of whom had already transformed into human form.

They quickly understood what had transpired. They felt no sympathy for the killing of the Violet-Gold Woodpecker King, recognizing it as entirely self-inflicted. Even as a Kunlun beast king, there was no reason to defend it.

Chu Feng was the brother of the two oxen, and the Violet-Gold Woodpecker had actually attempted to kill him, which crossed a line for this group of Kunlun beast kings.

After all, they also had friends. If an old friend were to visit and be ambushed by a beast king in the mountains, who could tolerate it? None of them wished to see such an event occur.

Chu Feng changed into fresh clothes and slung his bow and arrows and black short sword behind him. Surprisingly, none of his items were damaged; even his communicator hadn't been struck by lightning.

This left him speechless, as only he had been pursued and struck by lightning.

Chu Feng pondered that this area was indeed strange, as the lightning seemed to selectively pursue and eliminate only living beings.

"Old Ox, Little Yellow, that's enough. If you keep hitting this ram, it will truly die." At this moment, a black-haired middle-aged man approached. His long hair was unbound, and he exuded a powerful aura, possessing a captivating and intimidating presence.

Within his body seemed to lie dormant an ocean of power, with faint hints of terrifying, surging vital energy emanating from him. This was a peerless expert.

"Alright, since Mastiff King you've spoken, I'll spare its life. But let it be known, since it was so dishonorable, it must come and serve us for a period," the Great Black Ox declared.

Chu Feng looked at the black-haired middle-aged man with suspicion. That astonishing aura felt familiar. Could it be the Tibetan Mastiff that had appeared on Kunlun Bronze Mountain back then?

A beautiful woman in palace attire approached. Her long green hair was smooth and lustrous, her skin like creamy jade, and her eyes sparkled as she looked at Chu Feng. "Little brother, you truly are extraordinary," she said. "To be able to contend with two kings and easily kill an avian king at such a young age—your combat power is truly awe-inspiring."

Evidently, she was a king-level creature, though her race was unknown.

"Although we lost a king, with this brother joining us, our Kunlun Mountain is still as strong as ever," another silver-haired man laughed heartily, walking over. He appeared to be around thirty years old and was quite valiant.

It was evident that the two oxen were well-regarded; no one raised objections because Chu Feng had killed an avian king. Instead, they were actively welcoming their brother.

This was primarily because the Yellow Ox was incredibly knowledgeable, having genuinely provided significant inspiration and assistance to several beast kings.

The Great Black Ox, on the other hand, was laid-back and easily mingled with others. For instance, he once dragged all the kings to the cinema to watch *Ox Demon Great Sage*. Despite his rugged appearance, he was excellent at "being an ox" (a play on words meaning being a good companion).

The Tibetan Antelope King, severely injured and in a pathetic state, finally swallowed its pride and offered an apology, expressing its willingness to make amends and compensate Chu Feng.

Finally, this group of formidable individuals chatted and laughed, all expressing their intention to go to the Ox King's Palace to celebrate with a few drinks, making the atmosphere quite harmonious.

"Seniors, brothers, sisters, I was impulsive today. I was lured into a dangerous place and almost died, which enraged me, and I couldn't help but kill that avian king."

Chu Feng clasped his fists and explained. Since these king-level creatures were relatively amiable, at least on the surface, he naturally had to acknowledge them, but he did so discreetly.

Displaying his strength? This battle had been sufficient. There was no need to show off now; that would only invite resentment.

"Oh, little brother, something significant has happened in the outside world," the woman in palace attire said, smiling. She gracefully glided closer, her beautiful and delicate face captivating, and her skin so flawless it seemed it could break at a touch. "You'd best clarify it quickly, lest some misunderstand, and to spare your family and friends worry."

Chu Feng quickly checked the messages on his communicator and immediately understood what had happened: someone outside was attempting to stir up major trouble and was currently building momentum!

It could be said that their momentum building was highly successful, reaching its peak, poised for the final explosion!

Chu Feng thought for a moment, then went to the dismembered body of the Violet-Gold Woodpecker. He took a selfie with the avian king's corpse and the various horrifying marks of lightning strikes on the ground as his background.

He posted this photo on his social media platform with a caption: "Today, I passed a heavenly tribulation."
