Chapter 150: Slaying the Twin Kings

Outside the valley, the Golden Eagle was initially very excited and invigorated. Chu, the Demon King, was about to be beheaded, and the Avian King had personally arrived to kill him in the valley.

However, it suddenly froze, its body stiff.

The Peacock was also reveling in the joy of revenge, eager to see Chu Feng cut down. But suddenly, a chill swept through its entire body, from head to toe.

"Oh my god, Your Highness!" the two fierce birds cried out together. How could this be? The Avian King had suffered a calamity and fallen to the ground.

Inside the valley, the Violet-Gold Woodpecker was in immense pain. One of its wings had been severed, an extremely severe injury for it.

It was like a human losing an arm, with blood gushing out and staining the ground.

It crashed to the ground, rolling repeatedly. Even a king-tier creature could not endure the pain of a severed wing; it was bloody and screaming in agony.

"Crack!"

Most terrifyingly, lightning struck. A bolt of cerulean lightning directly hit its body, causing some of its violet-gold feathers to burst open, and it was sent flying.

The Violet-Gold Woodpecker itself also suffered lightning strikes. It could endure one or two, but more than that would be unbearable, a true test of life or death.

"Ah..."

It cried out, enduring the intense pain and steadying its body. Its eyes were filled with agony and venom as it glared at Chu Feng in the distance.

This turn of events was beyond its expectation. Originally, everything was under control, but it never anticipated encountering such a disaster at the last moment, plummeting into a hellish situation.

It had always been cunning, cautious, and careful. This was evident from its schemes against Chu Feng; it was unwilling to charge ahead itself, preferring to use external forces to kill Chu, the Demon King.

If time hadn't been so short, and it had been about to alarm other beast kings, it would never have set foot in such a dangerous place.

Today, such a major blunder occurred, and it felt the danger of perishing. Its heart was filled with terror and a surge of venomous hatred as it glared fixedly at Chu Feng.

"You feathered scoundrel, you're truly amusing. How does that saying go? 'Don't act arrogant, or you're guaranteed to be struck by lightning!'" Chu Feng grinned, enduring the pain as he chuckled.

However, his smile quickly froze again. He felt he had just insulted himself, as he had also been struck by lightning.

Chu Feng was enraged and embarrassed. This was the first time he had been tormented so badly; he didn't know how many lightning strikes he had endured and had nearly died there.

The crimson flying sword soared across the sky, moving incredibly fast. It became a red lightning bolt, slashing towards the Avian King, intent on cutting it down.

"Whoosh!"

The Violet-Gold Woodpecker was indeed extraordinary. It opened its mouth and spat out a purple light, a power it had gained after breaking two shackles. It was like a sword beam, normally capable of destroying everything in its path.

This was also why it so desperately desired sword manipulation techniques, because its acquired ability was similar, and if the two combined, its combat power would certainly skyrocket.

Clang, clang, clang...

Sparks flew as the crimson flying sword was temporarily blocked.

When Chu Feng unleashed this sword, its power was comparable to what the old weasel had displayed that day, but it couldn't pierce through the Violet-Gold Woodpecker's purple light.

The next moment, the flying sword suddenly shone brightly. Chu Feng used even more powerful spiritual energy, and the palm-sized crimson flying sword was like a crimson sun blazing across the sky, emitting dazzling brilliance, with countless rays of red light, imposing and awe-inspiring.

The Violet-Gold Woodpecker couldn't stop it. The purple light was shattered, and the crimson flying sword, like a dazzling sun, swiftly swept past, carving a gash into its abdomen.

Even though its feathers were comparable to metal, clanging when struck, it was useless. It was still cut open, a terrible bloody gash appeared, and blood immediately spurted out.

"Ah..."

The Violet-Gold Woodpecker screamed miserably, its entire body of feathers bristling. Blood flowed incessantly from its abdomen. It had never suffered such a severe injury; today it faced a great calamity.

With a crash, Chu Feng was hit by a bolt of green lightning, sending him flying and temporarily halting his attack.

This place was quite terrifying; lightning bolts fell intermittently.

The Violet-Gold Woodpecker's eyes glowed with hatred, hoping to outlast Chu Feng in the lightning and ultimately survive.

It retreated, hoping to hide in a lightning-free zone, as it knew of some such locations.

However, as it moved, another bolt of lightning struck it, causing some of its feathers to explode off, leaving specks of blood.

At the same time, crimson light erupted. The palm-sized sword soared across the sky, exuding monstrous killing intent. Its bursting radiance was as beautiful as a sunset but also cruel, staining the area red.

The Violet-Gold Woodpecker shrieked furiously, retreating while spitting out purple light, clanging as it resisted the flying sword.

Unfortunately, it couldn't block it at all. This crimson sword body was indestructible, once again cutting through the purple light and, with a "thwack," slicing a very deep gash into its back. If it weren't a king-tier creature, it would have been split in half.

Even so, it was terrified because the gash almost went straight through; the injury was too severe!

Its body glowed, and a layer of purple light appeared where its wing was severed. It was desperate, consuming its vital energy to transform into wings of light with mysterious energy, hoping to accelerate and escape the perilous situation.

However, doing so consumed too much of its energy. Once Chu Feng caught up, it might be killed, losing its ability to truly fight to the death.

But this was its nature: it was unwilling to charge to the front and fight to the death.

With a whoosh, it soared into the sky. It was hit by lightning once, its body trembling violently, but it still rushed towards the lightning-free zone, attempting to escape the valley.

The sword hummed sharply. Chu Feng had been watching it closely. Amidst the lightning, the flying sword surged again, and with a "thwack," it struck its body. This time, it nearly split it in half, accompanied by a large shower of blood. A terrifying wound appeared on its body, almost exposing its internal organs.

Moreover, the purple wings of light shattered, and it plummeted, crashing to the ground once more.

"You still want to escape?!" Chu Feng said coldly. How could he allow it to flee? His sword manipulation technique surpassed that of the old weasel; it was indestructible.

If it weren't for his fear that the lightning would damage his mental energy, he would have long since attacked relentlessly. Now he was very carefully controlling the sword, striking only when the lightning was sparse.

"Quick, lift the bronze pillar!" the Violet-Gold Woodpecker roared towards outside the valley. It realized that before it could outlast Chu Feng, it would surely be killed first, completely unable to withstand the sword manipulation technique.

Outside the valley, the variant creatures had long been stunned. They never expected that after all the Avian King's elaborate schemes, it would end up dragging itself down.

"Bring up the bronze pillar!" the Peacock and Golden Eagle shouted.

Yaks, snow leopards, Tibetan mastiffs, and various other variant beasts moved together, collectively dragging the thick iron chain to pull the bronze pillar up from the depths of the dry well.

The effect was immediate and profound. The lightning in the valley immediately diminished, even disappearing.

The Violet-Gold Woodpecker gasped for air, then stood up, continuously retreating, its eyes fixed on Chu Feng.

It was waiting for other kings to arrive, because some beast kings shared an exceptionally close relationship with it and would certainly speak on its behalf, ensuring it wouldn't lose its life.

A roar echoed!

As expected, it awaited a beast king: a massive Tibetan antelope whose horns were as horrifying as broadswords, gleaming with cold light as it rushed over at high speed.

"Who dares to act so wildly in Kunlun?!" it reprimanded, rushing directly in front of the Violet-Gold Woodpecker and shielding it.

It hadn't gone to the underground palace to compete for opportunities, fearing an ambush there. The peak it occupied was the closest to this location, so it was the first to rush over.

Chu Feng was not in a hurry to attack. Instead, he sat cross-legged, circulating his special breathing technique to heal his injuries. With the lightning gone, he could finally take a breather.

Moreover, he knew how extraordinary his breathing technique was; wounds could heal overnight without leaving scars, and it was naturally effective against lightning injuries.

Sure enough, as soon as he began, the intense pain in his body disappeared.

"Kill him!" the Violet-Gold Woodpecker whispered, transmitting a message to the Tibetan Antelope King. It wanted the Antelope King to ambush the heavily injured Chu Feng, as this was an excellent opportunity.

The Tibetan Antelope King hesitated for a moment. It had received reports and knew what had happened. If it truly ambushed Chu, the Demon King, would those two bovines fight it to the death?

"He possesses sword manipulation techniques, and he's now severely wounded and dying. Kill him, and we'll pledge allegiance to the Peacock King!" the Violet-Gold Woodpecker whispered, instigating.

At this moment, Chu Feng finished his breathing technique, suddenly opened his eyes, and stood up. After a period of recuperation, his body was no longer stiff; the numbness from the lightning strike had completely disappeared, and he could now move freely!

At this moment, he no longer worried. Not only could he control his sword, but his physical body could also engage in combat; he was fearless.

Chu Feng's eyes were icy. He gazed chillingly at the Violet-Gold Woodpecker and declared, "I will surely kill you!"

"Chu, the Demon King, what do you want? This is Kunlun, you can't act wildly here!" the Tibetan Antelope King said coldly, standing in front and protecting the Violet-Gold Woodpecker behind him. Their friendship was exceptionally close.

The sword hummed sharply. The crimson flying sword in front of Chu Feng glowed. He stared at the Tibetan Antelope King and said coldly, "Do you want to intervene? If you dare to stop me, I'll slay you both!"

"How dare you!" The Tibetan Antelope King was furious. It was a king on Kunlun Mountain, rarely defied. Now, with someone pointing a sword at it, it revealed a chilling killing intent.

In this place, it was the law of the jungle, and since it had a good relationship with the Violet-Gold Woodpecker, it naturally had to help it.

Without a word, Chu Feng controlled the flying sword with his spiritual energy and slashed forward. Crimson light erupted, and a dazzling sword beam soared across the sky, striking towards the Tibetan Antelope King.

"You dare?!" The Tibetan Antelope King roared, its thick horns glowing like heavenly blades, directly clashing with the flying sword, blocking this terrifying attack.

However, in an instant, the tip of its horn was sliced off with a clang and fell to the ground.

"You!" The Tibetan Antelope King was enraged. Its entire body glowed, exuding an incredibly terrifying aura. Its horns became even more dazzling as it fought Chu Feng.

Chu Feng was fearless. He unleashed his flying sword and attacked the Tibetan Antelope King.

Meanwhile, his true body charged towards the Violet-Gold Woodpecker King, immediately activating his special breathing technique and unleashing the Great Strength Ox Demon Fist. This was his strongest move, intended for a decisive kill.

"Roar..."

From a distance, beast roars came, clearly indicating that beast kings were approaching.

The battle in this place was fierce. Chu Feng fought two kings simultaneously, engaging in an intense exchange. The sword light gleamed, and with a clang, he once again severed a section of the Tibetan Antelope King's horn, leaving it both shocked and enraged.

The Violet-Gold Woodpecker fought desperately, using all its abilities to block Chu Feng's terrifying fist strikes. But in the end, it found itself no match, and its wounds were continuously bleeding, losing a significant amount of its king-tier blood essence.

"Who's causing trouble?" The Yellow Ox appeared in the distance, enraged.

"Who's bullying my brother?!" The Great Black Ox was also nearly there, roaring with a heaven-shaking intensity.

At the same time, powerful figures appeared even further away. Among them were humanoids and graceful, beautiful women; they were all beast kings of Kunlun Mountain.

A group of formidable figures from Kunlun Mountain had arrived. Pair after pair of eyes stared at this place, revealing astonishment.

Just at this moment, the battle between Chu Feng and the Violet-Gold Woodpecker concluded. He used his most powerful fist strikes, their might surging under the special breathing technique's enhancement, utterly shattering the Avian King!

That group of formidable figures were all king-tier creatures. They had just arrived and witnessed this scene, all gasping in shock.

The crimson flying sword erupted, its light dazzling, directly severing an entire horn of the Tibetan Antelope King, which fell to the ground, trailing blood.

Outside the valley, the Golden Eagle and Peacock were trembling. They had personally witnessed the demise of the Avian King, the Violet-Gold Woodpecker, and were so terrified they nearly fainted.

At the same time, they remembered the message they had sent to their kin not long ago, stating that Chu Feng was about to perish and the Avian King was about to kill him. Now, it seemed they had sent it too early!

Within the Peacock clan, an elder was very excited because he had received an image showing Chu Feng in tattered clothes, covered in lightning, and in a desperate situation.

Meanwhile, a Violet-Gold Woodpecker stood majestically in the sky, radiating violet-gold divine light, immensely powerful, looking down at Chu, the Demon King, below.

Inside the Peacock clan, many variant creatures gathered, all watching this image. They believed Chu, the Demon King, was about to be beheaded!

"When his head falls, the world will shake. Chu, the Demon King, is finally going to die. Just wait and see his head!" Some variant creatures laughed incessantly.

"It's time to establish our dominance over the world!" Many variant creatures agreed, nodding along, feeling incredibly elated.
