Chapter 1011: Open Emperor's Sword, Qin Mu's Mouth

The Yongjiang River is the Heavenly River, flowing from other heavens, descending here onto the earth. Its waters rush endlessly, pouring into the ocean of the Primordial Realm.

The Yongjiang River is grand and expansive, its surface as wide as the ocean. If its waters were to dry up, one would even find countless heavens of aquatic beings hidden within it.

At this moment, the mountains on both banks trembled like waves. Those tall and majestic divine mountains appeared as if they were wave crests, highlighting the terrifying size of the colossal entity moving beneath the earth.

Yun Chuxiu's expression subtly changed as she quietly hid behind Qin Mu, muttering, "Earth Mother Primordial Monarch... no, didn't she already die?"

Shu Jun's expression also shifted slightly as he gazed at the undulating mountains along the Yongjiang River.

"Divine King, rest assured," Divine King Lang Wo transmitted, "With me here, the Earth Mother cannot see us."

Shu Jun felt somewhat relieved.

The nine Heavenly Dragons also shivered with fear and promptly halted.

The river surged with turbulent waves, and its flow almost ceased. Evidently, a colossal entity had submerged into the river from the bank, its immense body obstructing the Yongjiang's current.

Boom!

A violent tremor resonated, and a massive stone coffin slowly rose from the center of the river, obstructing the path of the Heavenly Dragon Imperial Carriage.

Qin Mu put away his jade bottle, took out the core of Primordial Wood to use as a staff, and stepped out of the imperial carriage. He looked up at the massive stone coffin, beneath which giant roots, like tentacles, writhed beneath the river's surface.

"Celestial Venerable Mu, there are still five years left in the ten-year period!"

A roaring sound came from within the coffin, releasing astonishing billows of corpse qi. It was likely the Emperor's corpse of the Northern Upper Emperor. "Are you returning now to resurrect the Earth Mother Primordial Monarch?" it questioned.

Countless large fish corpses floated on the river. After a moment, the corpses suddenly began to move, reanimated by the corpse qi that had infected them.

Qin Mu smiled. "There are still five years, Upper Emperor, no need to rush."

"Then why did you awaken the Primordial Monarch?" the enraged Emperor's corpse in the stone coffin demanded.

"I am currently in trouble and require the Earth Mother Primordial Monarch's assistance."

Qin Mu said gravely, "Earth Mother, are you aware that a Celestial Venerable was once buried in the Primordial Realm?"

The Emperor's corpse in the stone coffin fell silent. From beneath the water, the Earth Mother Primordial Monarch's voice drifted erratically, shifting left and right, and she asked faintly, "A Celestial Venerable buried in the Primordial Realm? Are you referring to the one buried in Celestial Venerable Ridge forty thousand years ago?"

Qin Mu smiled. "That's probably him. Earth Mother, this person is the Grand Emperor, and he has come to kill me. Please, Earth Mother, help me block him."

"He is the Grand Emperor? The Grand Emperor is actually still alive?"

The Earth Mother Primordial Monarch snorted, saying angrily, "Do you know that I am already dead? You want me to block the Grand Emperor? Do you wish for me to die completely? No one understands the Grand Emperor's power better than I do!"

Qin Mu said patiently, "The Grand Emperor is also dead, Earth Mother, just rest assured. His physical body from forty thousand years ago won't be too powerful."

"Even that is much stronger than I am now!"

Qin Mu glanced at the stone coffin and smiled. "With your son's assistance, you should be able to block the Grand Emperor, right?"

The stone coffin vibrated. Clearly, the Northern Upper Emperor's corpse within was greatly afraid of the Grand Emperor—or rather, what he feared was a Celestial Venerable.

"The Grand Emperor's abilities are unparalleled! Do you know how many ancient gods died trying to kill him back then?"

The Earth Mother Primordial Monarch's angry voice came from under the water: "You should have just stayed peacefully in the Primordial Realm and cultivated, but no, you had to provoke him. You're dead, beyond saving... Wait a moment, I see him! Many skeletal figures are carrying his coffin, flying very quickly..."

Qin Mu's heart stirred as he saw the Yongjiang River's surface suddenly become calm, like a giant mirror. The mirror reflected many skeletal divine demons carrying a huge bronze coffin flying rapidly towards them, at a speed almost equal to the Heavenly Dragon Imperial Carriage!

"If I intercept him, I might truly die."

The Earth Mother Primordial Monarch said, "Back then, no less than ten battles were fought to eliminate the Grand Emperor, and even the ultimate battle couldn't completely slay him. The Grand Emperor possesses methods that could prevent me from ever reviving. As I am now, I lack the strength to confront him directly, unless you resurrect me..."

Qin Mu said indifferently, "If I die, you will never be able to revive."

The Yongjiang River vibrated violently, and its waters surged skyward. Clearly, the Earth Mother Primordial Monarch was utterly enraged.

Qin Mu remained unmoved. "He is also a dead person now. I need you to block him, block him right here. He absolutely cannot advance further east. Earth Mother, can you do it?"

"You dare to threaten me?"

The Earth Mother grew even more furious. From within the Emperor's coffin, soul-stirring roars echoed, and as the coffin opened, foul corpse qi permeated the air.

"Son, come with me to intercept and kill the Grand Emperor!"

The Earth Mother roared. The stone coffin closed and flew into the air. Simultaneously, the earth trembled as the Earth Mother's roots burrowed through the ground, causing the earth and the Yongjiang River to shake incessantly.

Qin Mu turned and returned to the carriage. Yun Chuxiu, trembling, tugged at his sleeve and asked, "My dear, when are we leaving this place?"

Divine King Shu Jun was also somewhat uneasy. Especially Shu Jun, since both the Grand Emperor and the Earth Mother had seen him, his identity could easily be exposed.

Divine King Lang Wo's divine sense could prevent the Earth Mother Primordial Monarch from seeing them, but it couldn't deceive the Grand Emperor.

"Wait a little longer."

The divine eye on Qin Mu's forehead opened. He gazed into the distance and said gravely, "If the Grand Emperor doesn't die, my heart cannot be at peace. I absolutely cannot bring him to Eternal Peace."

He frowned and said, "Strange, why hasn't Celestial Venerable Hao intervened to block the Grand Emperor yet? Logically, he should have made a move by now. He's holding back, otherwise I wouldn't have called out the Earth Mother Primordial Monarch..."

His third divine eye looked into the distance, where the Upper Emperor's stone coffin was flying rapidly along the Yongjiang River, skimming the ground. Meanwhile, waves surged on the river's surface, moving upstream.

Finally, Qin Mu saw the bronze coffin flying through the sky. A hundred or so skeletal divine demons, clad in tattered robes, were carrying the massive bronze coffin as they flew through the air!

The stone coffin and the bronze coffin were still a thousand *li* apart when, at that very moment, Qin Mu saw a middle-aged man and couldn't help but be stunned.

"Emperor Kai?"

The middle-aged man wore a sword at his waist. He looked like an ordinary, solitary traveler who had endured a long journey.

Although Emperor Kai Qin Ye's pace wasn't fast, it was much quicker than that of the skeletal divine demons carrying the bronze coffin, and he swiftly approached the coffin.

The bronze coffin and the skeletal divine demons suddenly stopped. The bronze coffin lid flew off with a whistle, and a tall figure emerged from within. His attire was once luxurious, but due to the passage of countless years, his robes were tattered, fluttering in the wind and casting a shadow across the sky!

This figure, upon flying out of the coffin, was astonishingly many times larger than the bronze coffin itself. When his robes unfurled, the bronze coffin appeared less than one-thousandth of his size!

His aura was monstrous. Behind him, layer upon layer of Heavenly Palaces emerged, stacked astonishingly high!

That was the corpse of a Celestial Venerable who, having stolen and absorbed earth qi and yin qi from Celestial Venerable Ridge for forty thousand years, had long since transformed into a corpse demon.

His eyes were like two silent, eerie moons in the sky. His gaze was incredibly cold, causing snow to fall and water vapor to condense into frost.

For a moment, Qin Mu witnessed everything wither and plants shrivel. Even the Yongjiang River was frozen, and the Heavenly River iced over, rapidly spreading into the distance.

"Qin Ye, we meet again!"

The Celestial Venerable's corpse roared, and terrifying divine sense swept in all directions: "Back in the Emperor Kai era, you repeatedly entered Celestial Venerable Ridge, attempting to uncover my treasures, and several times you nearly died by my hand. And now, you've appeared again!"

Emperor Kai drew his sword.

Qin Mu watched as the Carefree Sword transformed into countless darting streaks of sword light, forming thirty-four interconnected heavens.

"Long time no see."

Emperor Kai Qin Ye returned his sword to its sheath; the Carefree Sword emitted a soft *zheng* sound. The middle-aged man crossed his arms over his chest, seemingly feeling a bit cold, and continued forward.

Above his head, the Celestial Venerable's corpse slowly split apart, cut into countless pieces. The enormous body collapsed and fell from the sky.

In the distance, the surging Yongjiang River suddenly paused, and the flying stone coffin also abruptly halted.

Qin Ye saw the stone coffin from afar, a confused expression on his face. He shook his head and said, "Celestial Venerable Mu boasts about how well his Eternal Peace is built, so why are there so many demons and monsters in this Primordial Realm?"

He couldn't help but shake his head.

The stone coffin suddenly crashed to the ground, thudding into the earth. The ground erupted with countless tentacle-like roots, which swiftly wrapped around the stone coffin before retracting back into the earth's depths.

Qin Ye took the sword from his waist and threw it down, sheath and all. The Carefree Sword plunged half a foot into the ground.

Violent tremors came from underground. Trenches crisscrossed the earth, formed by sword qi that had pierced deep into the ground, cutting out steep cliff barriers!

On the cross-sections of those cliff barriers, massive root fragments appeared, still gushing divine blood that formed rivers of blood in the canyons—a truly breathtaking sight!

"It runs very fast."

The middle-aged man frowned deeply, crossed his arms, and continued walking eastward. The Carefree Sword flew up, settling back at his waist.

In the distance, on the Yongjiang River, Qin Mu closed the vertical eye on his forehead. Suddenly, the Yongjiang's waters surged, and countless broken roots burst from the surface. The roots intertwined, trapping the Heavenly Dragon Imperial Carriage, and they were still gushing blood, staining the Yongjiang River red!

The Earth Mother Primordial Monarch's voice came from under the water, furious: "Celestial Venerable Mu!"

Qin Mu quickly stood up from the imperial carriage and shouted, "That's not my business!"

"Nonsense!"

The Earth Mother's voice grew even angrier. She said sternly, "Not your business? Are you trying to fool a three-year-old child? It's bad enough that you made me go block the Grand Emperor, but you also ambushed Qin Ye there, waiting for me! Qin Ye is your ancestor; you two, grandfather and grandson, conspired to harm me! Today, I'll make sure you die without a burial place!"

Qin Mu quickly said, "It's truly not my business. If I had known Celestial Venerable Qin was coming, I absolutely would not have asked for your help. Heaven can bear witness! Earth Mother, you know me; I've always been straightforward and never misled anyone! Would I have asked for your help if it weren't absolutely necessary?"

The Earth Mother Primordial Monarch snorted. Although she truly wanted to kill the brat, she also genuinely needed him to reassemble her soul. Still, she was unwilling to simply accept this loss.

Qin Mu smiled. "Earth Mother, I asked you to help me block the Grand Emperor, but you failed, and now you want to take your anger out on me? What kind of logic is that? Don't leave yet, I have one more thing for you to do."

He reached out, pulled Yun Chuxiu from the imperial carriage, lifted the girl high, and asked, "Earth Mother, do you recognize her?"

"Jue Wuchen!"

The river water surged as a large flower slowly rose, towering above the imperial carriage. The large flower slowly bloomed, revealing an eye that rolled once, gazing at Yun Chuxiu, and sneered, "Empress, we haven't seen each other in a long time!"

Yun Chuxiu's face was pale. She kicked her legs but couldn't break free from Qin Mu's grasp. She turned back and glared furiously at Qin Mu, then turned back again and smiled sweetly. "Earth Mother Primordial Monarch, this empress finds your current predicament truly regrettable. The Earth Mother Primordial Monarch, who once dominated the Primordial Realm and single-handedly resisted the Celestial Court for three hundred thousand years, has now become a stray dog. Even Celestial Venerable Qin can easily control you."

Qin Mu smiled. "Earth Mother, you are indeed very knowledgeable. However, you've guessed incorrectly. Jue Wuchen is not Empress Niangniang, but Lady Yuanmu."

The river water rippled. Clearly, the Earth Mother Primordial Monarch was greatly shaken by this news.

She had always believed Jue Wuchen was the Empress, never expecting her to be Lady Yuanmu.

"You failed to deal with the Grand Emperor, so help me deal with her."

Qin Mu smiled. "The Grand Emperor is strong, but this Jue Wuchen is merely a small Divine Bridge Realm divine arts practitioner. Dealing with her shouldn't be difficult for you, right?"

A root flew over, wrapping around Yun Chuxiu. The Earth Mother's laughter came from within the flower: "Dealing with Yuanmu, I am naturally happy to do so. Yuanmu, our old scores..."

The large flower slowly sank into the Yongjiang River. The Earth Mother Primordial Monarch's laughter came from under the water: "...it's time to settle them properly!"

Yun Chuxiu struggled ceaselessly as she was dragged into the Yongjiang River, angrily shouting, "Qin Mu, this old lady won't let you off!"

Qin Mu sighed in relief, thinking, "Finally, I've sent off this troublesome deity. After she leaves, I can then summon Celestial Venerable Yun's soul..."
