The Yin soldiers marched in perfect unison, causing the heavens and earth to tremble. They seemed to have walked from ancient times, advancing towards an eternally unknown place, with a primeval, desolate energy surging into the sky!

In his later years, Zhang Lin encountered ominous events, his actions becoming mysterious and unpredictable. He had entered the Divine Ruins, visited the Immortal Tombs, and witnessed the passing of Yin soldiers, for whom even ancient sages would make way.

Banners fluttered as the Yin soldiers marched by, heading into the unknown distance, causing a chilling unease. Ye Fan held the others still, not daring to obstruct them.

No one else could see them. Even Duan De, deeply studied in tombology, felt his hairs stand on end and had an inexplicable premonition, yet he saw nothing.

"What? Yin soldiers passing through?!" When the tens of thousands of Yin soldiers had marched past, the others exclaimed in shock upon hearing Ye Fan's words.

The heavy Yin energy underground can form spirits or specters, sometimes called Yin soldiers, but these were absolutely different; these were true underworld soldiers, beyond comprehension.

"I have cultivated the Yin-Yang Celestial Eye, yet I didn't even see a shadow. Only my intuition tells me that a group of terrifying beings passed by..." Duan De shuddered.

"I heard Emperor Wu Shi mention something about Yin soldiers appearing somewhere, but I didn't listen closely to the specifics!" the Black Emperor said, annoyed.

Ye Fan was the most unsettled. This strange sight, which only a Source Heavenly Master could witness in their later years, he was seeing now. Was this some kind of ill omen?

"I remember now! I saw a predecessor's handwritten note that recorded how the greatest masters of Feng Shui burial studies entered the netherworld in their later years and saw Yin soldiers," Duan De said, clenching his fist.

However, that notebook was incomplete; it was never finished. The predecessor had been scared to death midway, sitting in meditation in an underground stone chamber with a look of terror on their face.

The others shuddered upon hearing this. As Duan De said, it was not surprising that very few top masters of Feng Shui burial studies had a peaceful end.

"Let's follow them and see where they're going," Ye Fan said. Seeing this scene reminded him of the Source Heavenly Master's later years, filling him with unease. If he didn't find out more, he felt he would remain unsettled.

Duan De even lifted both his feet, showing strong support and agreement. He believed that a monument of Feng Shui burial studies was right before them, and that he would uncover an ancient secret and become a legend in history.

"This is really creepy, but I've heard black dog blood can ward off evil..." Li Tian mumbled.

The Black Emperor's expression immediately turned sour. It turned its head and stared at Li Tian, baring its white teeth.

"Maybe you, Brother Hei... could contribute some blood to boost our courage?" Li Tian, oblivious to danger, suggested.

"Woof!" The large black dog stood on its hind legs, lunged, and bit fiercely.

"Stop, don't disturb the Yin soldiers!" Ye Fan separated them, then was the first to chase after them. Only he could see them, so he led the way.

The dense mass of Yin soldiers resembled an iron torrent, capable of overwhelming any foe. Their grim aura was terrifying; merely approaching them would cause one's body to crack apart.

This primeval purgatory was vast and boundless, with complex terrain. Countless skeletons lay on the ground, fossilized within the rock layers.

The monstrous faces of various ancient creatures—humanoid beasts with phoenix bodies, eight arms and four heads—their unheard-of and unseen corpses were astonishing.

The dim battlefield stretched endlessly, wreathed in band-like demonic clouds, truly terrifying and heart-stopping.

Especially eerie was the sight of tens of thousands of Yin soldiers marching relentlessly forward, carrying an overwhelming murderous aura.

"Where are they going?" Ye Fan and the others had followed for over a hundred *li*, yet the army showed no signs of stopping.

"A great fog is rising ahead!" The group was surprised; it was very sudden. The mist was exceptionally thick, submerging the entire world. The path ahead was hazy, impenetrable even to celestial eyes.

Ye Fan was even more astonished: the army of Yin soldiers was dwindling, as if entering another world, having reached their destination.

"Quick, let's go around and see."

He was the first to rush forward, bypassing the tens of thousands of soldiers and entering the misty area. At that moment, his entire body felt like it was being cut by knives, and goosebumps rose on his skin.

Not to mention mortals, even cultivators from the Immortal Platform Dragon Transformation realm would find their bodies cracking and be strangled by the chilling aura here.

"It's too dense! The malevolent Yin energy pierces the heavens; it's like entering the netherworld!" Duan De exclaimed, making a judgment based on his years of tomb-raiding experience.

"Black Dog, I still feel unsettled. Why don't you contribute some blood?" Li Tian nagged.

"Woof!" The big black dog's bald tail stood straight up, and it opened its massive jaws, looking as if it wanted to swallow Li Tian whole.

"Silence! Where have we arrived?!" The Monkey stopped them, his Fiery Golden Eyes gleaming, a solemn expression on his face as he pointed forward.

The mist was extremely heavy. This area was not the ancient battlefield; instead, it was a strange place, truly resembling a netherworld, vastly different from the outside world.

"No, before the great mist rose, the front was a boundless plain, the ancient battlefield, but now it has completely changed," Li Heishui said.

This was a strange transformation, confusing them all. It was entirely due to the rising fog, as if they had entered another world.

"This place connects to another world..." Duan De said, astonished. They couldn't see the Yin soldiers, but they sensed their numbers diminishing.

"Brother Ye, what do you see?" Yan Yixi asked.

"This seems like a world entrance; the Yin soldiers are entering, very much like the Nine Netherworld!" Ye Fan felt uneasy.

"Now that we're here, let's go inside and take a look!" Duan De urged. As an authority in Feng Shui burial studies, he was eager to uncover an ancient secret.

The mist was thick, and the area ahead was vast. The Yin soldiers didn't fill it entirely, leaving enough space for them to enter. The group, skilled and brave, moved closer.

The malevolent energy grew denser and denser; their bodies ached as if being scraped by knives. Netherworld energy surged, threatening to tear them apart.

The netherworld! Finally, they stepped in. It was an astonishing land, definitely not the vast ancient battlefield, not a world in itself, but more like a path.

"A path to the netherworld?!" Duan De rubbed his hands, both excited and agitated. He had seen fragmented records in some predecessors' notes, but no one had ever fully explained it.

Black land, dim mist, an unknown path ahead. The Yin soldiers ignored them, marching steadily and disappearing into the distance.

"What's that smell? It's so fragrant!" The big black dog twitched its nose, its large, bell-like eyes wide and round, its bald tail standing stiff as it looked forward.

The others exchanged glances, smelling nothing. But the big black dog insisted it smelled a fragrance, claiming it might be an undying divine medicine.

"It would be a miracle if a divine medicine could grow in this Nine Netherworld!" Duan De scoffed.

They proceeded cautiously. After walking about five *li*, they finally caught the refreshing fragrance themselves and were all invigorated.

"What a dog nose! It smelled it from miles away," the group marvelled inwardly, but didn't dare say it aloud, fearing the dog would bite them.

After advancing another *li*, the fragrance became so thick it was almost intoxicating, making them quicken their pace, eager to find its source.

"There's a pool!" They were surprised. Ahead, points of light shimmered on the water, and many Yin soldiers were marching neatly past it. The fragrance emanated from there.

"A yellow spring pool? Such terrifying water. Why do I feel like it's corpse water?"

The pool was only about ten *zhang* square, bubbling and yellow, making one's hair stand on end. A malevolent Yin aura wafted from it, yet it was mixed with a refreshing fragrance.

Duan De took out a white wooden stick and dipped it into the water. The entire stick instantly turned yellow and was enveloped in death qi. He immediately exclaimed, "This is the Yellow Spring!"

They found it inconceivable. What kind of place had they stumbled upon? It would be remarkable for even a small puddle of the Yellow Spring to form in an extremely Yin death zone, yet here there was so much.

Legend had it that the Yellow Spring did not belong to this world and was difficult to exist in it. Everything they saw today seemed eerie and mysterious.

In the Yellow Spring pool, water splashed, and a completely black divine grass emerged. It resembled a divine orchid carved from black jade, possessing the aura of the Great Dao, over a meter tall, and exuding a strong fragrance.

"Immortal divine medicine!" Li Tian and Duan De salivated profusely, all itching to grab it.

"No, this is Netherworld Grass!" Ye Fan shouted.

Although the big black dog was practically drooling, it also nodded and said, "That's right, I saw one exactly like it on Undying Mountain back then. I really want a bite."

They took a deep breath; all their pores opened, and they felt refreshed and invigorated, as if they had received the most sacred baptism, almost like they were about to ascend.

Unfortunately, this was not an undying medicine; consuming it would have terrifying negative effects, making life worse than death.

In the past, the three old monstrous beings who besieged the Peerless God King lived for nearly five thousand years because they consumed Netherworld Grass, but their bodies became putrid corpses, with only their divine consciousness remaining.

"This is a demonic flower; although boundlessly terrifying, it is also a peerless treasure of heaven and earth. If we pick it, it might have some wondrous use in the future."

This was not Undying Mountain; there were no Great Emperor array patterns here, so it could be picked.

However, the Netherworld Grass had already become sentient, transforming into a black streak of light and plunging into the spring pool. They simultaneously took action, refining the entire Yellow Spring pool and sealing the grass within it.

Chains rattled.

Everyone was startled. The roots of the Netherworld Grass were bound by a nether-iron chain; otherwise, they might not have been able to capture this timeless wonder.

"It's not a physical chain, but a line of Dao principles that has it locked here—truly strange!" They observed closely, then exchanged confused glances.

"Let's take this Yellow Spring pool with us. Let the Netherworld Grass continue to grow; it might genuinely be useful in the future." Ultimately, they placed the Yellow Spring pool and the terrifying demonic grass into a small white jade cauldron.

Ahead, there was a river of blood, barely a *zhang* wide, a vibrant, silent crimson, flowing into the distance.

Over the river was an ancient stone arch bridge, its age unknown. All the Yin soldiers walked across it to the opposite bank.

"I see the Yin soldiers on the other side!" Li Heishui exclaimed.

The others were also startled. Once past the stone bridge over the blood river, all the Yin soldiers became visible, continuing their march.

"Is this a netherworld, forged by an ancient Netherworld Emperor, or is it truly an incredible world?" Duan De wondered, full of doubt.

"The mist is quickly disappearing! We're leaving the netherworld and entering the ancient battlefield!" the Monkey said.

As the mist vanished, all the eerie scenes faded into transparency. Only the blood river and stone bridge ahead remained real, and the last squad of Yin soldiers was about to cross.

There was no doubt that once all the Yin soldiers had passed, everything would disappear, unless they also followed them in completely.

"It's like a spatial node; these burial grounds containing millions of ancient clans have connected the discontinuous netherworld realms," Duan De analyzed, explaining the reason for the Yin soldiers' passage.

"It's disappearing fast; the last Yin soldier has also stepped onto the stone arch bridge," Li Heishui said.

At that moment, Duan De made a move no one anticipated: he quickly lunged forward, grabbed the last Yin soldier, and forcefully pulled him back.

Then, with sounds like cracking thunder and clashing metal, they began to fight. Chilling winds howled, death qi surged, and the area became as cold as an ice cellar.

How ferocious!

Everyone was dumbfounded as Fatty Duan wrestled fiercely with the Yin soldier, rolling back and forth.
