Chapter 751: Saint's Extraterrestrial Battlefield

Outside the domain, there was a deathly silence. From above, the Big Dipper Ancient Starfield appeared as a magnificent celestial body. Within it, a massive star teeming with life was close at hand, emanating an awe-inspiring aura, like an ancient divine realm in slumber.

Ye Fan, adrift in the eternal outer reaches, felt a sense of desolation and grandeur. They were currently orbiting the massive star, pulled by its gravitational force.

"It's truly magnificent, what a star! It's simply too vast!" Li Tian exclaimed in awe.

Although they could descend to the ground using the ancient Sacred Weapon to break through the void, it would feel incredibly long. This ancient life star was so immense that the time it would take to reach the surface would likely be unbearable.

"It would be best if we could construct a divine teleportation array. Later, I'll go through the ancient texts left by those scoundrel ancestors to see if there are any relevant records."

The Human Desire Dao had produced more than one saint, some of whom had traversed starfields and deeply studied teleportation array patterns, naturally leaving behind valuable writings.

"What is that?" Yan Yixi's eyes shifted, fixing on a patch of darkness in the distance, a hint of suspicion on his face.

They were not in a hurry to descend to the ground, continuing to drift freely, circling the colossal life-bearing ancient star like mere specks of dust.

Ahead, a mountain-like shadow loomed, unnerving and vast, as if a celestial body was obstructing their path. Faint wisps of strange energy emanated from it.

As they approached within dozens of miles, a cold, dim metallic glint became visible. It was a thousand-meter-tall iron peak, like a meteorite, dense and imposing.

"What is this thing? How can there be such a huge piece of iron?" Li Tian was quite astonished.

This massive iron block seemed extraordinary, resembling divine iron, yet it lacked the corresponding essence and divine energy fluctuations.

After approaching another ten-odd miles, even in the dim void, they could discern the pockmarks and depressions on its surface. It was covered in knife marks, sword punctures, and numerous dreadful cracks, as if it had been shattered by force. Furthermore, faint bloodstains were visible on it. Though long dried, they still exuded a terrible desolation, suggesting it had endured an unimaginable, world-shattering battle.

"This immense mass is a type of divine iron, a rare and sought-after material even for sect masters. How can there be such a colossal piece? It's simply too exaggerated!" Yan Yixi sighed.

Ordinarily, obtaining a fist-sized piece to refine into a weapon would create a treasure weapon, delighting even sect masters. Yet, here stood a divine iron block a thousand meters tall. However, they also sensed something unusual: this precious iron had lost all its essence and divine power. It was unclear how long it had been drifting here for it to reach this state.

"If I'm not mistaken, this is undoubtedly a fragment of a shattered ancient Sacred Weapon. A thousand meters in height is merely a small portion of it," Ye Fan said.

Ancient saints possessed immense power. The sight of them forging weapons was unimaginable. A fist-sized piece of divine material might be sufficient to forge a legendary Sacred Weapon. Conversely, if the material was not strong enough, countless mountains and rivers might be depleted to gather spiritual energy and shape a single weapon. In ancient times, some saints held small, exquisite "River and Mountain" seals, appearing clear and delicate, yet in reality, they were formed from thousands of miles of land and rivers, becoming boundless when truly magnified.

"There's another piece over there!"

Indeed, soon after, they spotted another thousand-meter-long fragment of divine iron, cold and eerie, covered in dried bloodstains, further confirming it was undoubtedly a destroyed ancient Sacred Weapon. Moreover, they soon saw a broken ancient bow, dozens of meters long, followed by a purple-gold hammer, almost completely rotted away, and a fragmented great bell.

"These all seem like relics left by saints, but they are utterly ruined. Not only has the essence contained within the materials completely drained away, but the Dao patterns inscribed inside them have also been erased."

All the dilapidated ancient weapons continued to orbit the star, eternally suspended in the vast expanse of space, bearing witness to the tragic and heroic events of the past.

"I understand now. This is the so-called 'Outer-Heaven Battlefield'," Ye Fan stated.

Long ago, he had heard that when ancient saints fought, they would casually unleash devastation, destroying heaven and earth. Their every move would cause endless mountains and lands to collapse, leading to widespread suffering. Thus, they always chose to fight in the Outer-Domain Battlefield. At this moment, it was clear without much thought that this vast expanse of space was where ancient saints once battled.

This kind of battlefield had not been used for tens of thousands of years, perhaps even longer, because it was now incredibly difficult for a single saint to emerge, let alone engage in life-and-death struggles.

Soon after, everything confirmed their suspicions. As they orbited, they swiftly entered an ancient battlefield. It was a chaotic scene, with many fragments suspended in space, mostly debris from several colossal Sacred Weapons that had shattered into pieces, resembling a field of scattered rocks. Furthermore, within this area, there were collapsed ancient palaces, abandoned warships, and immense, long-rotted skeletal fragments.

"These remains are so enormous, what kind of creatures did they belong to? Even a single toe bone is thirty meters long!" Yan Yixi exclaimed in astonishment.

Here, numerous bone fragments, belonging to different creatures, were scattered about. Some were jet black, others pale blue, and still others silvery white, each distinct.

"Creatures comparable to saints, capable of killing a Grandmaster with just one drop of blood! Their bones are even greater treasures!" Li Tian rubbed his hands, his eyes gleaming.

They had now ventured deeper into this Outer-Domain Battlefield, where broken items like battle armor, copper boats, and ancient weapons were intermittently visible.

"Don't even think about it. These remains are at least hundreds of thousands of years old, perhaps even from the Primordial Era. Their essence has long since drained away, and they possess none of their former power. They were already rotting during the great battle," Ye Fan said.

"What a pity, it's such a waste not to be able to make good use of them," Li Tian lamented. Suddenly, he let out a strange cry, leaping high and quickly twisting, while reaching for his backside.

"Ahhh! Ahhh!" He wailed like he was being tortured by a demon, his face pale, jumping and scrambling in utter terror. There were speckles of blood on his palm, and a bloody severed hand was gripping his backside, sending chills down their spines and making their hair stand on end.

Li Tian, with a tearful expression, said, "I was just joking! I didn't mean to blaspheme the saints. Please rest in peace, ancestors, don't take it personally!"

Ye Fan and Yan Yixi also found it eerie. This ancient battlefield was strange; how did that hand fly over without any detection?

"Damn it, a single drop of a saint's blood can kill a sect master, and I've got a hand full of it! How many times am I going to die?" Li Tian shrieked, the severed hand on his backside quivering along.

"This is a severed hand from hundreds of thousands of years ago. The saint's essence has long since drained away; it won't harm you. Stop scaring yourself," Yan Yixi said.

Li Tian struggled greatly to remove the severed hand and then placed it in the void as if worshipping a deity. He was genuinely unnerved. With his current power, his divine sense was incredibly keen, yet he had felt absolutely nothing when his backside was grabbed.

As they were about to leave the area, they found a decaying wooden box amidst the ruins. They couldn't sense anything from it, but Ye Fan opened it nonetheless.

"Buzz!"

Dazzling divine light burst forth, brilliant and eternal. Inside, a head-sized piece of divine source floated quietly, its aura completely contained by the decaying wooden box.

"It's so beautiful!" Li Tian gasped in admiration.

Within the head-sized divine source was a blossoming bud, about the size of a fist, crystalline and seemingly dripping with brilliance, radiating a beauty that captivated the soul. It seemed to possess a demonic allure, forcibly drawing one's mind towards it, making one yearn to plunge into it, unable to escape, desiring eternal surrender.

The three had never seen such a flawless and beautiful bud. Though not yet bloomed, it surpassed all other flowers, radiating crystalline colors of red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple, captivating all who gazed upon it.

"Why am I losing control? I want to offer my primordial spirit to it, to go deep inside?"

"My entire body feels comfortable, I just want to eternally fall and sink into this bud."

"Quick, don't look at it anymore, this is a demonic flower!"

Ultimately, with immense willpower, they forcibly severed their connection to it and sealed it back in the decaying wooden box, cold sweat breaking out all over their bodies.

After an unknown period, Li Tian seemed to recall something and said, "I once read a record in an ancient text about a Divine Enlightenment Flower. Only ancient Great Emperors could truly appreciate its ultimate beauty in the world. The moment it bloomed, even ancient saints would suffer severe harm, and anyone else who saw it would have their primordial spirit turn to ash, leaving only an empty shell, a walking corpse."

Ye Fan and Yan Yixi instantly broke out in cold sweat. This was a strange and terrifying plant, something ordinary mortals simply could not behold, hence its name, the Divine Enlightenment Flower.

Li Tian continued, "Legend says it fell from the Immortal Realm. When a plant withers, its seeds pierce the void and are reborn in another realm."

Ye Fan said, "We're about to descend onto the life-bearing ancient star below. If the Primordial Race is numerous and ancient kings emerge, this Divine Enlightenment Flower might prove to be extremely useful in the future."

"It's truly a heaven-sent wonder. There couldn't actually be such a great change on the land below that would require something like this, could there?" Yan Yixi pondered.

They continued their journey and unexpectedly discovered an ancient array platform. After carefully examining it for a long time, they found it was still functional and, surprisingly, connected to the land below.

"Heaven truly helps us! We can descend immediately."

The three boarded the ancient array platform, filled it with source stones, and prepared to activate it, ready to descend onto the large star below. But just then, their eyes froze. In the cold starry sky, a very small ancient ship was flying towards them. It wasn't particularly fast, but its direction was unwavering and clear, gradually approaching the life-bearing ancient star. Concepts like second cosmic velocity or third cosmic velocity were irrelevant to it; propelled by a mysterious force, it maintained a constant trajectory.

"It... came from the depths of the universe?"

Their hearts pounded. They watched in awe as it appeared in this Outer-Domain Battlefield and then, like them, began to orbit the star.

"An ancient star that even Great Emperors have descended upon must hold some secrets. Could it be that giant has arrived?" Li Tian wondered, filled with apprehension.

The ancient ship was very small, only about three meters long, capable of holding at most two or three people. It was tightly sealed. When they attempted to probe it, they detected two extremely faint auras, as if the beings within were nearing the end of their lives.

"There really are living beings! This is bad news. Any entity daring to come here like this can't possibly be ordinary; ordinary people definitely shouldn't provoke them."

"They've come for the Big Dipper Ancient Starfield. Are they following in the footsteps of the ancient Great Emperors, or do they have other intentions?"

"Let's go, don't provoke them. Although their life force seems almost extinguished, there could still be immense danger hidden within."

They chose not to stir up trouble. The identity of these visitors from outside the domain was unknown, and life-bearing ancient stars were few and far between in the vast cosmos. The owner of such an ancient ship capable of traversing starfields must be incredibly mysterious and powerful, and they wished to avoid any complications. Ye Fan, in particular, was even more wary of such things after the incident with a ship full of Primordial Kings. Returning to the ground was their top priority; if they provoked a saint-level being, they would certainly be in serious trouble.

With a flash of light, the ancient divine array activated. They vanished from the Outer-Domain Battlefield and, in the next moment, appeared on the vast ground below.

"I'm back..." Stepping onto the solid ground, Ye Fan couldn't help but let out a long cry towards the sky.
