Chapter 1468: Don't Be Shameless

"What's wrong today? All sorts of monsters and demons are coming out," Pang Bo said unceremoniously, his gaze sweeping over the group.

The old man in the center was tall and imposing, with a full beard and piercing eyes. He introduced himself as Wang Tianyu. The group behind him all looked like victims.

"What I say is well-founded," Wang Tianyu declared, his voice ringing out like a vibrating bronze bell. "Years ago, a group of astonishing geniuses who embarked on the Ancient Human Path with the Sacred Body were secretly persecuted. Their flesh and blood were devoured. The tragic case remains unsolved, but it points directly to Ye Fan. Otherwise, there might be several more brilliant stars among us today."

"Aren't you slandering him? How can you frame Ye Fan like this?" the Dragon Horse retorted indignantly.

They all knew that the incident back then was the doing of Rui Wei, whose true nature was discovered by Ye Fan at the eighty-first pass of the Ancient Human Path. In fact, Rui Wei was a pitiable person whose body and primary soul consciousness had been seized by a demonic entity.

"I made no mistake," Wang Tianyu questioned sternly and loudly. "Tell me, who else at that time had the immense power to act so silently and undetectably? Moreover, this cultivation method of devouring human flesh and blood originated from Beidou. If not the Sacred Body, then who?"

Behind the old man, others chimed in, reprimanding, "In a straightforward battle, others would respect you. But to launch sneak attacks, assassinate in secret, and devour human flesh and blood—that's more evil than any demon, utterly intolerable in this world."

Ye Fan watched them with indifference. Though these individuals coming for him were not weak, they were no match for him. Clearly, someone was backing them.

Ji Ziyue scoffed, "You people are twisting facts, slandering others. What's the point of such a low and despicable frame-up? Who would believe it!"

The Dragon Horse said coldly, "I truly want to stomp all of you blind idiots to death. You dare to frame us? Have you grown tired of living?"

Some of the people present had flickering eyes, seemingly showing fear, but Wang Tianyu's words were firm. He was a true master, exceedingly powerful and unfathomable. "Threatening us is useless," he said. "You should know that this has been an open case to this day, still unsolved. The power of the Sacred Body is well-known on the Ancient Path, and its cultivation method also comes from Beidou. This strongly matches the murderer. If not him, then who?"

"Boring. Is there any point in doing this? Just tell me, what do you want?" Ye Fan spoke calmly.

"We only want an explanation for the deceased heroes," the old man said. "They cannot be allowed to die without a clear reason."

The onlookers all stepped back, not wanting to get involved in the dispute.

Ye Fan's gaze was piercing. "You dare to say such things, to slander me," he stated, "you severely lack principles."

"Since you dared to do it, don't be afraid of us exposing you," Wang Tianyu sneered. "I believe the enforcers on the Ancient Path will investigate thoroughly, bringing the truth to light and bringing comfort to the deceased."

"The enforcers will investigate me because of your slander?" Ye Fan sneered.

Just then, someone in the distance beat a heavenly drum, its deep, muffled sound echoing through the sky. Two figures flew towards them, quickly entering the magnificent jade pavilions.

"I believe it's necessary to thoroughly investigate you and see what kind of person you truly are!" a powerful individual, clad in Da Luo silver essence battle armor, approached and declared loudly.

The other person was similarly attired. The Da Luo silver essence gleamed with a silvery-white luster, shining brilliantly and radiating an oppressive aura. Only the most powerful enforcers possessed such battle armor.

The presence of two such powerful enforcers and their words created tension in the atmosphere. People sensed the gravity of the situation. Were they getting serious? Did this represent the intentions of a group of ancient figures on the Ancient Human Path?

Ji Haoyue, Pang Bo, and others initially paid little mind, not bothering to argue, believing that even if someone came to cause trouble, it wouldn't matter. But now, their hearts jolted. The appearance of the enforcers signified an attitude from the Ancient Path. Were they truly going to act ruthlessly?

These enforcers embodied the will of some influential figures on the Ancient Path, indicating that the situation had become very serious, something no one had anticipated.

"Why?" Ye Fan asked calmly, staring at the two individuals.

"The Ancient Path emphasizes fairness," one of the enforcers roared, his tone righteous and stern, his silver battle armor glinting, making his aura intimidating. "If you fight honorably, we will not interfere. But secretly ambushing competitors not in a trial ground, but within a resting holy city, cannot be tolerated."

"There's no evidence yet, and you're already so eager to convict me? Is this how you investigate?" Ye Fan's face darkened. Such a blatant attempt to frame him was too unsightly. Even if they wanted to deal with him, they didn't need to be so hasty and shameless.

"Ye Zi, we need to consider breaking out," Pang Bo secretly transmitted. "This matter is unusual. They're deliberately targeting us, and won't care about right or wrong. Any flimsy excuse will be enough."

In front, the old man with lead-grey eyes, who had initiated the trouble, stood aside, utterly indifferent, a cruel smile playing on his lips.

Wang Tianyu was also like that, standing with his hands behind his back, radiating a murderous aura.

The two enforcers looked stern, staring at Ye Fan, their gazes cold, as if they were certain he was the murderer from back then, pressing him for details.

"Damn it, is this the will of some giants on the Ancient Human Path? Those bastards, do they want to force us to rebel?" the Dragon Horse gritted its teeth in secret. Today's events were far too strange.

Just then, an enforcer solemnly brought up another matter, saying, "Previously, in the Tenth City of the Ancient Human Path, an entire star collapsed. Someone witnessed you stealing a cellar of divine liquid left by an ancient Heavenly Venerate. Is this true?"

That was the twenty-year war of the Sacred Spirits, which occurred in seven locations and even caused parts of the Ancient Path to collapse. The Sacred Spirit, sealed by an ancient Heavenly Venerate's time mark, had now emerged as a divine demon.

In the battle of Dayue Slope, Ye Fan exerted great effort, killing several stone men and fighting for twenty years. He was cursed by a formidable Sacred Spirit, remaining in a dangerous state for a long time.

That battle lasted twenty years, during which Ye Fan achieved illustrious military feats. The rare Divine Light Platform he possessed was awarded to him for this reason.

Ye Fan had certainly contributed greatly in that battle, yet now the enforcers sought to incriminate him, infuriating the Dragon Horse and others. They had indeed obtained some divine liquid, but it was earned through life-or-death struggles, not by theft.

"Are you all insane? Have you run out of excuses to get rid of us?" the Dragon Horse roared, shaking the ground.

"Let's leave," Pang Bo urged. "They've become shameless. Any flimsy excuse will be enough to kill us. Since they dare to act like this, they must be confident. Let's get out of this city first!"

Ji Haoyue agreed. There was no point in reasoning; they needed to break out first.

"It's too late. The city gates have been closed and completely sealed off," Ye Fan said, causing everyone's expressions to change.

This was the final pass of the Ancient Human Path. The entire city was forged from special divine materials, making it impossible even for a Great Saint to escape if trapped within. It was akin to a terrifying city-shaped supreme treasure.

"Human Sacred Body, do you confess or not?" an enforcer demanded loudly, his expression stern, silver light swirling around him, making him look imposing yet deeply disgusting to Ye Fan and his companions.

"You are vile and despicable, utterly without character," Ye Fan said coldly.

"Are you questioning our impartiality?" someone said coldly.

"Impartiality my ass! I'll slaughter all of you!" the Dragon Horse roared, preparing to strike.

Behind him, the Ancient Golden Roc spread its wings, ready to pounce, eager to see who would act first.

Ye Fan waved his hand, telling them not to act rashly, and stared coldly ahead.

"Oh, so you intend to attack and kill the enforcers of the Ancient Human Path? Your audacity is truly immense!" the two enforcers shouted in unison.

"No sense of right or wrong, twisting facts, and making such rotten excuses without batting an eye—you must really want to make us rebel," Ji Ziyue said, her lips curling slightly, but she wasn't particularly worried, watching them coldly.

"Where are the protectors of the Ancient Human Path?" Ye Fan transmitted loudly, too lazy to speak further with the people in front of him. Otherwise, he would have no choice but to unleash the Emperor's Fist.

The Heavenly Gang Daoist secretly transmitted, "The final pass of the Ancient Human Path originally had protectors stationed here, but they all left in a hurry not long ago. It seems something major happened in a distant starfield."

"They were called away," Ye Fan nodded. Then he shouted towards the distance, "Since you've become so brazen, clearly intending to deal with me, why keep up this last pretense? Just come out directly! I will fight you to the bitter end!"

"We are enforcing the law here. Please step back and stay away from this place," the two enforcers loudly called out, instructing the spectators to leave.

The immediate vicinity cleared out considerably, but figures in the sky remained densely packed. How could anyone miss such an event? Everyone was watching.

"Truly hypocritical. At this point, what face do you have left? Just tear it off and throw it on the ground, revealing your fangs," Pang Bo scoffed.

"Tell me, who are you? What grudge do you hold against me?" Ye Fan demanded. In that instant, he transformed into a bolt of lightning and lunged forward.

However, at that moment, two other figures moved: the old man with grey hair and grey eyes, and Wang Tianyu. Terrifying auras erupted from them, fully revealed as they attacked Ye Fan. These were actually two Great Saints!

Ye Fan's expression changed. He quickly dodged and stood in the distant sky. "What an impressive display," he remarked. "Two Great Saints appearing right at the start. You really think highly of me."

"Heh, you guessed right," the grey-haired, grey-eyed old man sneered repeatedly. "How could I be a descendant of the Ruthless Emperor? I wish I could erase everything she left behind. Back then, my clan's supreme elder wreaked havoc across the world, sweeping through ten thousand realms, but was shattered by a single palm strike from the Ruthless Emperor. She even conjured a Demon Sealing Diagram, directly sealing my entire clan. What a cruel heart! We've only just emerged now."

He was filled with resentment, his expression chilling. He was truly not human; the terrifying blood within him glowed with a silvery-white light.

"Don't look at me, I was just invited to lend a hand," Wang Tianyu said indifferently.

Ye Fan looked at the two enforcers. "It seems you've colluded with other races. Is the problem with you two? But you don't have that much influence. There must be others, right? Come out, all of you."

The two enforcers wore cold expressions, and a teenager also appeared not far away, his face filled with venom and his eyes brimming with hatred.

"Isn't that the child who left not long ago? Back then, I was wondering why he held so much resentment towards us. It seems there's truly a considerable grudge."

"You killed my uncle. You might have forgotten, but our clan has never forgotten. We've been waiting for you for many years!" the child said fiercely.

"Who was your uncle?" Ye Fan asked.

"Our clan's surname is Liu," an enforcer stated. "On the Ancient Human Path, no one has dared to casually kill a direct descendant of our clan!"

Clearly, this was a formidable clan.

The teenager's gaze was dark and sinister, unbefitting his age and chilling. "My youngest uncle has returned," he said. "You, as a Saint King, are nothing. You'll have nowhere to escape! Even two Great Saints consider him a friend and converse with him."
