Chapter 1105: Flying Saucer

Chapter 1106: The Flying Disc

"My divination, based on 1.8 million years of spiritual cultivation, along with my years of archaeological experience as supporting evidence, confirms that the great tomb beneath Yaoguang undoubtedly belongs to the Desolate and also to the Ruthless One!" Duan De declared.

"Uncle Duan, the Human Ancestor only descended upon the Beidou Ancient Star a little over a million years ago, nowhere near 1.8 million years," Ye Tong whispered.

Duan De chuckled, "Who am I? I can dream for a million autumns; I attained immortality and built my path in the primeval era."

Ye Tong rolled his eyes and paid him no further attention.

The name "Ruthless Great Emperor" sent a tremor through Ye Fan's heart. Throughout his journey, he had accumulated many karmic connections with this astonishing woman.

"Kid, you're in deep trouble. Forget the Mother Qi Cauldron of All Things and the Immortal Treasure Map; even the sacred fruit you picked when you first arrived in Beidou aboard the Nine Dragon Bronze Coffin was a Nine Marvelous Divine Medicine planted by the Ruthless One. From the very beginning, you've owed her an immense debt of gratitude," the Black Emperor snarled.

Ye Fan felt a headache coming on. If he delved deeper, even retrieving the Green Cauldron from the Immortal Ascension Land on Earth was connected to the Ruthless One's past actions.

"Impossible! How could someone live for over two hundred thousand years? I don't believe it, not even if she were a Human Race Great Emperor!" the Dragon Horse exclaimed, shaking its massive head.

"It's no use if you don't believe it. All signs indicate that Desolate might be a physical shell shed by the Ruthless One!" the Black Emperor sneered.

"That defies common sense! Did she achieve immortality? An immortal remnant capable of transforming into a restricted zone – what else is beyond her?" the Dragon Horse asked, eyes wide.

"This Emperor didn't believe it either, but Yaoguang's Black Gold Imperial Cauldron, this grand tomb, and Desolate's power of longevity, among other signs, made me realize the true meaning behind the Nameless Great Emperor's actions when he gazed at the Nine Sacred Mountains, looked back at the old Yaoguang site, and peered into the Northern Domain. The Ancient Desolate Restricted Zone was most likely formed from a Human Race Great Emperor!" the Black Emperor said, gazing towards the Southern Lands.

If this news were to spread, it would undoubtedly cause a massive stir, a world-shattering revelation. One of the Seven Great Life Restricted Zones originating from the human race – how utterly astounding!

"How could she defy the heavens and achieve all of this?" The Dragon Horse, having come from another side of the starry sky, had less understanding of ancient Great Emperors and found it difficult to comprehend.

"Because she is the Ruthless One!" Duan De stated. The implication was clear: no other reason was needed; her being the Ruthless One was sufficient. There was nothing she couldn't accomplish!

A chilling wind swept through, revealing the desolation of Yaoguang's former site, scarred and ravaged. In the surrounding wilderness, bones littered the ground, and almost all flying birds and beasts had been wiped out.

Once Desolate emerges, devouring heaven and earth, all forms of life energy would be consumed by her, a boundless terror.

Ye Fan and his companions returned to the Northern Domain and entered Sky Village. Dongfang Ye, Yan Yixi, Li Heishui, and others from their group gathered periodically, all expressing shock when discussing the Ancient Desolate Restricted Zone.

Now, they could only speculate about its connection to the Ruthless One, perhaps even her, but there was no concrete evidence. Furthermore, what were the origins of the other six great life restricted zones?

The Path to Immortality was about to open. On that day, it was unknown whether the supreme beings within these restricted zones would emerge. It was hard to imagine the scale of the upheaval this would cause.

"The most glorious golden era has arrived, and the magnificent war song has already begun. Who knows how many will perish..." Killing Saint Qi Luo said, his eyes narrowed.

In the following days, Ye Fan kept a low profile, and indeed had to. He had first slain the Emperor's Son, then pursued the Golden Celestial Maiden until she fled half-naked, and finally slaughtered Ancient Saint Huo Tan. His actions had been far too conspicuous.

Some among the ancient races secretly offered bounties, promising astounding rewards to anyone who could kill Ye Fan. Many prominent clans sought to eliminate him swiftly. Undercurrents surged, and no one from the radical faction wished to see Ye Fan attain sainthood.

Allowing someone with the potential to achieve the Dao to grow unchecked would be a disaster for them. Nipping him in the bud was considered the best option.

For nearly two months, Ye Fan had been in seclusion. Even those proficient in divination and divine computation could not locate him, as he carried the Green Bronze Cauldron.

During this time, he remained at the sixth small step of Immortal Stage Three: Dao Severing. While he could potentially advance to the seventh step at any moment, he couldn't grasp the crucial insight needed for progression.

Prolonged seclusion could no longer solve the problem. With only three or four months left before he would depart this world, Ye Fan sighed softly, stood up, and decided to go out for a final look around.

Once he embarked on the Heavenly Road, entering the ultimate trial journey, he might never return, perhaps becoming a handful of dust scattered in the outer domain.

The old master of Qishi Mansion had made it clear: even three Human Race Sacred Bodies had fallen in battle, their blood staining the starry sky, their bones buried in foreign lands. These were his predecessors, possessing the same constitution as his, and perhaps not weaker than him.

In recent days, the world had been turbulent and restless. Three more ancient Sages had arrived from beyond the domain, descending upon this ancient star and causing widespread alarm.

This indicated that the opening date of the Path to Immortality was approaching. People were both expectant and apprehensive. With limited spots to enter the Immortal Domain, battles would likely ensue, potentially to the point of shattering the ancient star.

After Ye Fan emerged, he found unrest everywhere. He learned through secret channels that anyone who could provide clues about him would receive a Saint Weapon as a reward.

How astonishing was this? Most ancient Sages didn't even possess divine materials for forging weapons, and only a select few owned inherited Saint Weapons!

Furthermore, the Ancient Desolate Restricted Zone had become a revered immortal land for pilgrims. Daily, incense smoke curled upwards as numerous human cultivators went to pay their respects, regarding Desolate as a great champion of humanity.

"Emerging west from Hangu Pass, the small, one-way five-colored altars extend continuously, appearing on numerous ancient stars. Where exactly do they lead?" Ye Fan muttered to himself.

That day, he and the Dragon Horse landed outside the Undying Mountain but failed to find the five-colored altar that should have been there. According to their speculation, it might be inside the Undying Mountain, but they simply couldn't enter to search.

"Perhaps it's outside the Undying Mountain, after all..."

Ye Fan once again arrived in the Central Domain. Standing outside the Undying Mountain, he gazed at the vast stretches of towering, black mountains, each one grand, truly the kings and emperors of the mountains!

"Whoosh!"

Suddenly, a streak of brilliant light shot past, moving too fast to be clearly seen, brushing past the Undying Mountain and disappearing into the distant wilderness.

"What was that?" Ye Fan was surprised, finding it somewhat familiar, and pursued it. Unfortunately, he searched for over half an hour with no success. Later, a group of cultivators also gave chase, causing a commotion throughout the mountain range.

"Fellow Daoist, what happened?" Ye Fan inquired.

"Are you from the Central Domain? Are you unaware of recent events?" Someone stopped and gazed at him oddly.

"I was just passing by and happened to witness it. Is there some hidden secret?" Ye Fan asked.

"A strange magical artifact has appeared near the Undying Mountain. It has grown increasingly aggressive lately, frequently plundering cultivators and collecting their blood. Just now, a renowned elder was abducted."

"What? Such a thing?" Ye Fan was astonished. Apart from a few rare exceptions, only Saint Weapons could typically develop sentience and intelligence, yet now such a mysterious treasure had appeared.

Ultimately, the search yielded nothing. Ye Fan also searched outside the Undying Mountain for several days but still couldn't find the small five-colored altar, so he had no choice but to depart.

"Ah..." As he was leaving, Ye Fan caught sight of a silver flying artifact that flashed and vanished, tearing through the sky like lightning, instantly soaring into the distance.

"It's... it!"

Ye Fan was shocked. He recognized it: it was the artifact he had seen just days before, and also the mysterious flying object he had witnessed decades ago in the ancient city of "Wang Kong" in the Central Domain.

Wang Kong City was one of the ten great ancient cities in the Central Domain. Within it stood a crystalline stone platform, where, according to legend, the Nameless Great Emperor often gazed out towards the outer domain in ancient times.

Decades ago, Ye Fan, Pang Bo, and the Black Emperor had personally witnessed a flying object descend from beyond the heavens, sparking a frantic pursuit by cultivators from the Central Domain, only for it to ultimately crash into the Undying Mountain.

In those distant ancient times, legends often spoke of powerful divine objects occasionally falling from the vast, boundless starry sky.

On that day, people naturally assumed it was an extraterrestrial artifact. But Ye Fan saw clearly that it bore a striking resemblance to a flying saucer!

"It really looks like a flying saucer..." Seeing it again at this moment, his heart was instantly shaken. It was identical to what he had seen years ago.

It was a huge, luminous object, incredibly fast, diving into the depths of the mountain range like a streak of silver light. Shaped like a massive disk, it gleamed with a cold metallic luster.

Ye Fan unleashed his Movement Secret, giving chase, but still found nothing, unable to uncover any clues.

"It came out of the Undying Mountain..." He was utterly astonished. What kind of place was the Undying Mountain? No one knew better than him, as he had personally ventured inside. Had it not been for Xiao Nannan, even with the Black Emperor, a Grandmaster of Array Patterns, he would certainly have perished within long ago.

Ye Fan re-entered Wang Kong City and thoroughly learned about recent events in the Central Domain, confirming that it was indeed the same flying object that had fallen from beyond the domain back then, as many people also remembered it.

"It appeared damaged back then, but now it's repaired and has become reckless, attacking many cultivators."

"As long as a beam of light sweeps over, no expert can resist; they are simply abducted. Now, people are living in fear."

Ye Fan was surprised that this flying object was actually collecting blood. Some of the first abducted individuals died, while others were released, which is how people learned about its actions.

"The more powerful the being, the more interested it becomes. From exotic beasts to humans and then to the ancient races, in just half a month, it has abducted at least hundreds, possibly thousands, of people."

"You're wrong; it began its activities years ago. It's just that it has grown increasingly reckless recently, which is why more and more people have become aware of it. I suspect it might have achieved its goal and intends to leave, thus it's no longer concealing itself."

Indeed, over the next few days, this disk-shaped flying object appeared frequently, and eventually, a shocking rumor surfaced.

"Several Dao-Severing cultivators from the ancient race... were struck by the divine light and abducted!"

"What?! It's begun attacking Dao-Severing cultivators? It's growing increasingly brazen!"

People were dumbfounded and chilled to the bone. What kind of weapon was this, and why was it doing this, always targeting cultivators?

Over the next few days, this mysterious artifact, shimmering with silver light and seemingly forged from greenish-white divine metal, frequently appeared and even attacked the Myriad Demon Palace, the ancient sacred land of the demon race.

Furthermore, on the same day, several important strongholds of the human and ancient races in the Central Domain were also attacked, resulting in the disappearance of many experts.

"It's madness! For a mere weapon to act like this, it will surely draw out Ancient Saints, because it must be an extraordinary Saint Weapon!"

Everyone was utterly dumbfounded.

"Buzz!"

The void hummed. To everyone's surprise, it appeared in Wang Kong City, seeking powerful targets.

Ye Fan frowned. This disk-shaped flying object was enormous, incredibly fast—almost light-speed—and truly astonishing. Its material was also exceptionally unique, comparable to the divine materials used to forge Saint Weapons.

"Whoosh!"

A divine light swept down, surprisingly directed right at him. Ye Fan unleashed his Movement Secret, but he was still a step too late. This light beam was incredibly massive, covering nearly half the city.

"Damn it, it attacked me!" Ye Fan realized he was involuntarily lifted by the light beam, soaring directly towards the greenish-gold disk.
