Chapter 366: Entering the Origin Forbidden Zone (Extra Chapter from Your Long-Awaited Meow Alliance Leader)

This was a brand new technological civilization, and Levi's accomplishments were simply beyond words. He alone had virtually propped up an entire technological civilization. Moreover, he had researched the structure of his own brain, enabling him to simply mend some broken neural connections – or "hard drive bad sectors" as he called them. Of course, such mending, much like patching worn-out clothes, could only barely extend his lifespan, allowing him to live a fourth life.

"I have once again advanced the entire human civilization by countless years!"

"I have once again defied fate and lived another lifetime!"

That day, a triumphant, uninhibited voice resonated from the central building of Area 51. Researchers across the land heard it, were ecstatic, and the news quickly spread.

Computers began to become widespread. And these computers were not the bulky, old-fashioned kind, larger than washing machines; instead, they incorporated advanced circuit designs from the start. This was because his brain's structure was inherently the most optimized circuit structure known to humanity.

Countless people began to extol Levi. They even composed a song, "The Spirit of the Age."

Without him, human civilization would likely still be living in a medieval agrarian age, without electricity, relying on iron tools and gunpowder. Without him, there would be no convenient electricity, nor the convenience it brought to every household. Without him, there would be no airplanes, cannons, internet, telephones, or television.

In this lifetime, Levi did not seclude himself. He had dedicated his entire life to research and felt utterly exhausted, having spent his whole life serving human civilization and advancing human progress. Each time, he had struggled on the brink, barely managing to live another lifetime. But what about the next? His brain had aged to its limit; with mere patching, he no longer had the confidence to live on. After all, if his thought processes completely slowed down, breakthroughs would be difficult—a vicious cycle.

"In this final lifetime, I no longer wish to defy fate. Having lived several lifetimes, far beyond what an ordinary person could imagine, I want to travel and live as a normal person," Levi sighed. He no longer wished to strive or compete. Yet, a mystery remained deeply rooted in his heart: the world from which people had fled in ancient times, the giant beasts, and that mysterious young man.

Throughout his life, he possessed astonishing wisdom and talent. Understanding that with great power comes great responsibility, he voluntarily bore that burden, dedicating his life to contributing to future generations and humanity, and spending most of his time in continuous research. In truth, he had always wanted to indulge himself, to live according to his inner desires, but he never truly brought himself to waste his precious time; every minute, every second, he was racing against time.

He began to travel between the two human empires. He had spent most of his life in laboratories, and only now did he witness firsthand the changes he had brought about. Compared to his childhood in that medieval agrarian age, it was as if they were two different worlds.

The entire mechanical city, due to the high temperature of the lava rivers, was surrounded by faint white clouds of vapor. Cars drove on the ground, and even some bread-shaped flying vehicles soared back and forth in the sky. It was like a molten mechanical city, with many sickle-shaped and pointed-cone-shaped wondrous buildings, imbued with a sense of science fiction and idealism. The humans here lived in perpetual heat, dressed sparsely in hot shorts and short-sleeved tops. Girls with wheat-colored skin raced past on motorcycles, shedding hot sweat as they sped by. Some wealthy merchants even raced airships in the sky.

"Firearms and transportation have always been the technological fronts vigorously developed by the two human empires. Now, computers, a previously non-existent field, have successfully emerged. Once they take root, they will quickly develop," Levi observed, looking at the world he had created.

That day, Levi made an announcement on television: "I will resign from all my positions among humanity—Honorary Supreme Marshal of the two empires, President of the Academy of Sciences, and Head of the Super-Research Institute. From today onward, I will be an ordinary human elder."

On television, countless viewers erupted in disbelief. Their sole deity was actually stepping down?

Levi did not wait for people to react further. "As an ordinary wealthy elder, I will embark on an exploration of that ancient forbidden world, the land of our human origin, the primeval… Is there anyone who wishes to accompany me?"

The viewers in front of their televisions all froze, completely taken aback by the suddenness of the announcement. According to the legends of ancient ancestors, that place held terrifying super-beings and was an absolute forbidden zone. Entering it could unleash dreadful monsters upon this human land. This land of paradise had been hard-won.

Levi stated, "We will not return from this journey. To avoid bringing unknown disasters back and having no retreat, this is a journey of certain death. Furthermore, participants must be over 25 years old; young people are not allowed!"

In a lifespan of just over thirty years, twenty-five years old was already equivalent to a person in their forties or fifties. Everyone fell silent. Mr. Levi was announcing the end of his life. Many people suddenly fell silent, their hearts filled with complex emotions.

Finally, before the television, Levi uttered the most sensational statement: "We will use radio technology to livestream this journey of certain death. I want to reveal the truth to the entire world! What exactly is the history of our human civilization, our human origin? Is it divine creation? Or is it the theory of species evolution?!"

Instantly, the entire nation began to buzz with discussion. Livestreaming that terrifying land? That was too frightening. And what exactly did Mr. Levi mean by "human origin"? Wasn't it his proposed "Theory of Biological Evolution"? Didn't humanity evolve from apes and hominids? Yet, Mr. Levi's voice carried a tone of doubt from beginning to end.

Many people had previously heard that Mr. Levi, after several near-death experiences, seemed to have witnessed something terrifying, and began to speak mysteriously, delving into theological and spiritual studies. And now, this giant of science seemed to be increasingly immersed in the realm of theology.

"What exactly happened?"

"Once he resigns, will this leader of science directly plunge into the field of theology?"

"It seems science is his profession, but theology is his true passion?"

Year 165 of the Empire. After another four years of preparation, a group of elders embarked on their final journey. They were the elite among the elders, top figures in various industries, unwilling to die a lonely old age. So, they brought the two empires' most advanced equipment, strapped on their backpacks, carried some advanced instruments, and set foot in that ancestral forbidden zone of humanity.

"We must pave the way for humanity."

"Our lost glory will be reclaimed here."

When Levi and his companions opened the still-sealed underground mud cave and emerged onto the surface, they instantly saw a vast, new, emerald green prairie—a new world. "Here," Levi declared, "we will rediscover the origin of humanity."

Boom!

A giant flying creature, similar to a Jurassic dinosaur, swiftly streaked across the sky. Its terrifying presence made this group of elders tremble. Meanwhile, in mechanical steel cities, people sitting on their sofas watching television saw this scene and felt their hearts tighten. "So, there really are such terrifying, near-divine beings," they murmured.
