In the Tianyou calendar, 1889, Zhao Feiyang of the Pinghuai Bureau, utilizing the "Pile Mountain Method," moved seven mountains and gathered vast quantities of timber to fill eight river channels, thereby resolving the long-standing issues with the eight major rivers in the Wuma Lixing constellation. The following June, six cauldrons were cast to refine the six celestial energies, and agricultural reforms were implemented, including the cultivation of spirit-repelling rice.
By 1952, the entire Wuma constellation was free of Class A natural disasters, and the Kufeng Bureau, after years of consecutive losses, finally turned a profit. Consequently, the commander of the Black Feather Army, a unit of the Monster Pacification Legion, was transferred to the Weihe Army, where he served as a fifth-rank Agricultural Commissioner for both forces.
Upon examining the first page of Zhao Xing's record, Diviner Jingyue felt nothing particular, but Zuo Qiyu and the Five Poisons Emperor both reacted with a sense of unease.
"A local fourth-rank river official? His starting position was so low?" The Five Poisons Emperor found it difficult to imagine how Zhao Xing could have risen so far. While a fourth-rank local river official technically held a fourth-rank position, historically, in the Tianyou Ancient Kingdom, their authority was less significant than that of a sixth-rank administrative official.
Fan Ye explained, "The Lixing River section within the Wuma constellation was previously a severe disaster zone."
"Despite starting from such a low position, he managed to transform a disaster-ridden area into fertile land within a single *Shenzi* (a traditional unit of time), allowing the Kufeng Bureau to turn a profit. That's truly remarkable."
The Five Poisons Emperor calmly stated, "He is my disciple, of course he is remarkable."
"Even from such a humble beginning, he can achieve things beyond the capabilities of ordinary people."
Zuo Qiyu sneered, "That has absolutely nothing to do with you as his master. Casting six cauldrons to refine the six celestial energies wasn't something you taught him; this is clearly a technique from the Four Seasons Palace."
"The Pile Mountain Method is a disaster management technique originating from the Primordial Hills. While it incorporates sacred timber for disaster prevention, the primary technique remains the mountain method."
The Five Poisons Emperor grumbled, "So what? My disciple is simply that brilliant."
Zuo Qiyu was left speechless, wondering if the old man was even listening to him.
"Wait, if he had such merits, why was he demoted from fourth-rank to fifth-rank?" Jingyue asked, somewhat puzzled.
Fan Hua explained, "Under the system of the Tianyou Ancient Kingdom at that time, this was considered a public demotion but a private promotion. He was originally a fourth-rank local river official, a position with less actual authority than a sixth-rank administrative official."
"However, transitioning to the Military Agricultural Bureau was a different matter. Four thousand years ago, the Tianyou Ancient Kingdom was plagued by internal turmoil and external threats, with constant wars. The status of a Military Agricultural Commissioner was far superior to that of a Civil Agricultural Commissioner."
"For rapid advancement, the military was undoubtedly the best path."
"Quickly, let's see what comes next," Jingyue urged.
In 1983, Zhao Feiyang, now an Agricultural Commissioner, established military farms on Yuegu Continent. That August, the Myriad River Demon King launched a surprise attack with three thousand elite demons. Zhao Feiyang utilized the Nine Springs of the Yuegu geomantic veins to deploy a formation, resulting in a fifty-thousand-mile fissure across Yuegu's flat red rock. Of the three thousand invading demons, sixty percent perished, twenty percent surrendered, and less than ten percent managed to escape. Zhao Feiyang was subsequently promoted to a fourth-rank General Supervisor and granted the title of Marquis of Pingyan.
There was little to remark on this page. Given Zhao Xing's combat prowess and his management of the territory, it was unthinkable that a sneak attack could have succeeded against him.
Zuo Qiyu simply uttered, "Tsk, tsk, tsk."
Jingyue and Fan Hua, however, mistakenly believed Zuo Qiyu was praising Zhao Xing. The Five Poisons Emperor, however, was somewhat annoyed, for only he understood Zuo Qiyu's true meaning. Zhao Xing had once again achieved success using Geomancy faction techniques! That scoundrel Zuo Qiyu was actually mocking him for failing to teach his disciple properly!
In 2105, the advance of the Myriad Demon Nation was halted, leading to a temporary ceasefire along the southern border. That winter, Zhao Feiyang was transferred to the Field Bureau and took up his post in Buluo Prefecture in the southern territories. At the time, Buluo Prefecture's thirty-six administrative districts were severely impacted by a celestial plague of insectoids. Zhao Feiyang cultivated "Five-Colored Locust-Exterminating Grass," which protected the Mingdao District from the insect swarm. He was subsequently appointed a fourth-rank Inspector of the Field Bureau.
"Why is he still stuck at the fourth-rank?" Jingyue mused, somewhat perplexed.
"Promotions were difficult during that period," Fan Hua explained. "The reigning Tianyou Emperor was in secluded cultivation to overcome a tribulation, and major court affairs were jointly managed by three kings. With directives coming from multiple sources, confusion was inevitable – this was the underlying context."
"The Tianyou Emperor of this era was the seventh generation, and overcoming the tribulation was no easy feat. Without the Emperor's suppression, it was easy for other powerful individuals to harbor disloyal ambitions."
Jingyue nodded in understanding. The territory and wealth of an ancient kingdom were immense. An Emperor-level cultivator, upon becoming Emperor, could potentially consume an entire era's worth of resources, thereby advancing further to become a demigod. If the Tianyou Emperor had been in good health, it would have been different. However, he was in a precarious secluded cultivation, and there was a high probability he wouldn't succeed, making it easy for disloyal factions to emerge.
Fan Hua mused, "This time, Zhao Xing is a civil official again, still hovering around the fourth rank. However, he's now the principal official of an administrative district, which can be considered a significant achievement."
"I checked the prefectural records," he continued, "and out of the thirty-six districts, only three suffered minimal damage from the insect plague. The Mingdao District, where Zhao Xing was stationed, was one of them."
In such a deteriorating era, merely performing his duties diligently, without any extraordinary actions, was enough for Zhao Xing to stand out. The virtual history continued to advance, this time skipping a significant period. The record jumped directly to the year 2954.
"Under such a chaotic system, Zhao Xing had to serve as an official for eight hundred years before another opportunity arose," Fan Hua remarked. "This time, he's a Military Agricultural Commissioner again." Fan Hua expressed a hint of emotion.
In 2554, Zhao Feiyang was transferred to the Ximo Starfield Bureau. The thirteen cities of the Western Desert had endured years of continuous drought and frequent incursions from the Fire Demon tribe.
As the four meticulously examined the records, a small boat suddenly appeared, drifting towards the barrier outside the grand hall. *Whoosh* A figure aboard the small boat, seemingly unfazed by the barrier, descended directly outside the hall's entrance.
"Hmm?" Alerted, Zuo Qiyu and the Five Poisons Emperor immediately turned their gaze towards the newcomer. Fan Ye, too, put away the virtual history records. "Who has arrived?"
Fan Hua carefully observed the newcomer's attire, then slightly shook his head. "That's a Palace Gate Envoy from the Tianyou Ancient Kingdom," he noted. "They are typically dispatched only when the Emperor secretly summons ministers to the palace for a confidential discussion."
"Given that Senior Zuo's identity here is Duke Qi, being summoned is quite normal."
After the burly Palace Gate Envoy, clad in golden armor, entered the barrier, he used a secret sound transmission technique that vibrated the very space around them. "Where is Duke Qi?" he proclaimed.
Zuo Qiyu immediately stepped out. "Qi Yuanzi greets the Special Envoy."
"The Emperor has commanded Duke Qi and your three guests to present themselves at the palace for an urgent audience."
"Hmm?" Zuo Qiyu immediately found this peculiar. While it wasn't unusual for the Tianyou Emperor to issue a decree, it was strange that he was aware of the three guests at Zuo Qiyu's residence. Among the four, only Zuo Qiyu possessed a Six-Pillar Jade; the other three only had Five-Pillar Jades. By all accounts, the other three should not have been so easily summoned.
Jingyue quickly surmised, then transmitted a message, "Seniors, Daoist Brother Fan, it's possible that my divination attempt to locate someone earlier was detected by experts within the imperial palace." Since Jingyue's divination pointed directly to the imperial palace, it was highly probable that other diviners would have noticed.
"Could this summons be related to Zhao Xing?" the Five Poisons Emperor suddenly inquired.
"I can't be certain," Jingyue replied, shaking his head.
"Whether it is or isn't, we'll know once we enter the palace," Fan Hua stated. "Senior Zuo, as a Duke, already holds a very high status. This small matter can easily be dismissed with any excuse and won't trigger a void history event."
"Then let's go in and see."
After a brief consultation, the four immediately followed the Palace Gate Envoy.
Meanwhile, deep within the imperial palace.
In the imperial garden, where countless flowers bloomed in a vibrant display, a young man reclined on a chair beneath a verdant elm tree. He leisurely tapped out a rhythm. A clear river flowed a hundred meters from the elm tree, from which heavenly melodies emanated, sung by a group of enchanting female demons. Dense clouds hung above the elm tree; as the singing commenced, they parted, revealing the moon's bright glow under which beautiful women danced gracefully.
"The heavenly music of these female demons, combined with the fragrance of over thirty thousand types of flowers in the Myriad Flower Garden, has cleared fifty percent of my True Spirit Heavenly Poison over the past thousand years."
As the song concluded, Zhao Xing straightened up from his chair, savoring the lingering afterglow. He stretched, remarking, "Ah, this is truly comfortable. Healing this way is far more pleasant than the methods used in the Academy; it's completely painless."
Zhao Xing inwardly examined his sea of consciousness, observing that the True Spirit Heavenly Poison was now considerably weaker than before. Originally a deep, opaque black, its color had now faded, and he could even discern the faint outline of his life soul within.
"Master and the others should be arriving soon." Zhao Xing calculated the time, gazing towards the sky. Before long, pegasus-drawn carriages, escorted by Palace Gate Envoys, descended into the Myriad Flower Garden.
"Hmm? Weren't we summoned by the Tianyou Emperor? Why are you here?" Zuo Qiyu asked, momentarily stunned, after stepping out of the carriage and seeing Zhao Xing under the tree.
"You may withdraw for now," Zhao Xing said, waving his hand at the golden-armored Palace Guards.
"Yes, sir."
Once they had departed, Zhao Xing opened the door to a small wooden house beneath the tree and invited Zuo Qiyu inside. "Senior Zuo, Master," he began, "Please come in and have a word."
Shortly after, Zuo Qiyu and the Five Poisons Emperor stepped into the wooden house beneath the tree, while Jingyue and Fan Ye remained in the carriage.
"Zhao Xing, what exactly is happening?" the Five Poisons Emperor demanded, scrutinizing him. "Why are you in the imperial palace, specifically in the Myriad Flower Garden? What's the situation with those female demons, and your True Spirit Heavenly Poison—"
"Master, Senior Zuo, I have been waiting for you in this timeline for four thousand years," Zhao Xing said with a sigh. "The moment you arrived and Jingyue used the karmic method to search for me, I became aware immediately, so I dispatched envoys to invite you."
"Four thousand years? But you are only supposed to live for three thousand—"
"I have cleared a portion of the True Spirit Heavenly Poison," Zhao Xing explained. "The reason lies with the unique female demons you just saw, and the fragrance of the flowers in the Myriad Flower Garden."
"I see," the Five Poisons Emperor realized with a jolt. "Among the demon race, there are many beings with extraordinary talents. Their voices are as if kissed by the Great Dao, making them natural musicians and dancers."
"Precisely because of this, they have always been targets for capture and hunting by various races. Human nobles took pride in raising high-level female demons, and the entire species became completely extinct before the 10th epoch of the Barren Realm."
"I just wasn't aware that female demons possessed abilities capable of countering the True Spirit Heavenly Poison."
"Among the list of treatments provided by the Academy, one item was to find an Emperor-level female demon, or multiple Lord-level ones, to treat Zhao Xing using the Great Dao of Dance and Music." Zuo Qiyu knew more about this, as he had been the one to escort Zhao Xing. "This wouldn't require consuming realm spirit value, as there was no material exchange involved; however, it was an exceedingly difficult condition to fulfill."
Zhao Xing nodded. "Indeed. The female demon race is on the verge of extinction, their numbers dwindling, and consequently, the probability of powerful individuals emerging has naturally decreased."
"An Emperor-level female demon could likely only be found during the Five Emperors era. After that period, even Lord-level ones became exceedingly rare."
"It took me two millennia, utilizing the dance and music of a group of female demon lords, to shatter half of the True Spirit Heavenly Poison."
"Hold on," the Five Poisons Emperor interjected, frowning. "How did you manage to get into the imperial palace, and even compel the Tianyou Emperor to personally summon us?" He simply couldn't fathom how Zhao Xing possessed such immense influence. Even with outstanding official service, surely four millennia wouldn't be enough to reach this level?
Historically, Zhao Feiyang was an obscure figure. Even if Zhao Xing could achieve this, it would essentially mean altering history. Furthermore, Zhao Xing's strength hadn't noticeably changed; he was still in the Dao Domain realm and hadn't completed a breakthrough. "Master, Senior Zuo, I cannot speak of this matter," Zhao Xing said, gesturing vaguely towards the sky. "I can only say that the Trans-Realm Tower's laws malfunctioning was no accident."
Zuo Qiyu and the Five Poisons Emperor exchanged glances, both seeing shock in each other's eyes. Assuming the Trans-Realm Tower's formation was not malfunctioning by chance, then someone must have interfered. No, not a person, but interference from a Divine Realm entity.
"I understand," the Five Poisons Emperor said, nodding gravely.
"What do you understand?" Zuo Qiyu chuckled, "You're just pretending to know."
The Five Poisons Emperor, slightly irritated, retorted, "I simply know more than you do!"
"How will you prove it?" Zuo Qiyu retorted sharply.
"If you don't believe me, go ask Fan Hua to check the latter half of the virtual history. It will undoubtedly be blank!"
Zuo Qiyu, naturally, didn't believe him. He reached out into the void, and Fan Hua instinctively pulled out the history book. *Rustle* The virtual history records pertaining to Zhao Xing rapidly flipped, and sure enough, after the year 3000, the story of 'Zhao Feiyang' became completely blank, with no further entries. Zuo Qiyu turned to a page that had text and discovered that Zhao Feiyang had died in a war against the Myriad Rivers Demon Race, holding only a third-rank official position and remaining in the Life-Death Dao Domain realm until his demise. This starkly contrasted their expectation that Zhao Xing would steadily rise through diligent effort to a position of great power.
"If the character in the Trans-Realm died, how is he still here?" Zuo Qiyu asked, bewildered. "Wouldn't this trigger a void history event?"
The Five Poisons Emperor chuckled gleefully, "I told you, you don't understand. I know, but I'm not telling."
Zuo Qiyu's veins throbbed, and his eyes glinted dangerously.
"Senior Zuo, please don't be angry," Zhao Xing quickly intervened. "The reason is quite simple: I am currently being rejected by the Trans-Realm Tower and can only enter through the Flower-Seated Chair. Therefore, none of my actions will trigger a void history event."
Given this explanation, Zuo Qiyu no longer pressed the issue with the Five Poisons Emperor.
Soon after, Jingyue and Fan Ye were also invited inside. Both found it exceedingly odd that Zhao Xing could command peak Lord-level female demons and move freely within the Myriad Flower Garden. However, both were well-versed in etiquette. Seeing that Zhao Xing did not intend to explain, they refrained from asking further questions, instead inquiring about their next course of action.
"Currently, Du Yun, Emperor Tianwu, and five Emperor-level demon beings are present in this realm," Zhao Xing mused. "A struggle will occur at the convergence of the three realms. We must reach that location immediately."
"How much time do we have?"
"Six months," Zhao Xing replied.
"Only six months?" the Five Poisons Emperor exclaimed. "What are we waiting for then? Let's depart at once!"
"Master, Senior Zuo, Lord Jing, Lord Fan, please wait at the Tianyou Realm Transportation Bureau and make some preparations. I will meet you in seven days."
The four were utterly confused, but they patiently complied.
After the four departed, Zhao Xing walked back to the elm tree. *Buzz* A slit opened on the elm tree, and Zhao Xing entered the space within its core. The space was filled with milky-white mist. A white-haired old man sat cross-legged at the center of the mist, his body withered, skin wrinkled like tree bark, looking as if he was on the verge of death. Above his head, a red light descended, forming a tower-shaped barrier that countered a swirling green energy.
"Are you ready to depart?" the old man asked, opening his eyes.
"Yes," Zhao Xing replied with a respectful nod. "They have arrived. Is there anything else you wish to convey, Teacher?"
The individual before him was none other than the seventh Tianyou Emperor in history, and also one of Qingyuzi's past incarnations! This was precisely why Zhao Xing had unrestricted access within the imperial palace and enjoyed such exceptionally high treatment.
Qingyuzi's tone carried a hint of emotion. "Truth be told, everything that needed to be conveyed was already discussed in our last meeting. The 'me' you perceive within the Trans-Realm Tower now is merely a contingency prepared back then, a continuation of that ancient karmic war."
"I said then that Wei Tianchen wouldn't be able to poison you to death, that you were destined to live. This is merely the fulfillment of that prophecy."
"I initially believed everything was unfolding as foreseen, but upon reflection, I realize I was not the ultimate victor in that karmic war either."
Zhao Xing listened in silence. "If you would, Teacher, please enlighten me."
"I will speak, and you will listen. Do not respond, do not react."
Seeing Zhao Xing remain impassive, Qingyuzi understood that he had entered the desired state. Green energy then surged from his body, and three rings of patterns slowly ascended, pushing the red energy further upwards.
"Wei Tianchen used you to search for a rare poison, and once he found it, he mercilessly tried to kill you."
"He believed he had won because he successfully acquired the treasure. Hu Xian, however, considered him to have lost because he failed to completely kill you."
"If he couldn't kill you, he wouldn't truly possess the treasure he sought."
"You likely possess the true activation method for that treasure."
Zhao Xing neither denied nor affirmed, adhering to Qingyuzi's instruction to merely listen without speaking.
"Bo Wei intervened to save you and subsequently opened the Trans-Realm Tower, thereby elevating his reputation to the pinnacle among all scholars. Though I am unaware of his exact plan, it is inconsequential. The Trans-Realm Tower, having just opened, encountered an issue with you, risking closure. He, too, made a misstep and cannot be considered a true winner."
"The Imperial Celestial Master promoted Bo Wei's treatment plan and, incidentally, orchestrated a karmic deception, luring the demon race's Emperors into the Trans-Realm Tower, thereby reducing the Empire's pressure to explore the Barren Realm. He achieved his objective, but many unforeseen circumstances arose, prompting him to take emergency remedial measures: arranging for Ji Si to accompany you into the Trans-Realm Tower, and now dispatching Jingyue."
"I am awaiting you in the timeline of the 22nd pre-epoch of the Barren Realm. In this current operation, you will cleanse yourself of the True Spirit Heavenly Poison ahead of schedule. By doing so, regardless of the intentions of the aforementioned three individuals, their primary objectives will be foiled!"
Zhao Xing felt a surge of shock. The karmic war, initiated by Wei Tianchen and concluded by Old Qing, clearly positioned Old Qing as the ultimate victor. Upon closer thought, Wei Tianchen could only obtain the Primordial Heavenly Origin Poison Body and the True Spirit Heavenly Poison, entirely missing the crucial Desolate God Poison and the Heart Seal Method. Bo Wei's god-making plan was meticulously concealed; even Hu Xian, the diviner Old Qing had consulted, failed to discern it. However, whether they knew or not was irrelevant.
Once his True Spirit Heavenly Poison was completely eradicated, it would inevitably disrupt Bo Wei's plans, as there would be no further reason for him to remain in the Academy or by Bo Wei's side. The God-Ascension project of the Scholars was a protracted endeavor. Bo Wei had arranged three distinct phases of treatment for him, evidently intending to keep him within his purview. Yet, shortly after the Trans-Realm Tower activated, he would completely purge the True Spirit Heavenly Poison, an outcome that surely surpassed Bo Wei's expectations.
After Zhao Xing's accident, the Imperial Celestial Master dispatched Emperor Mengwu to pressure Bo Wei, forcing the Trans-Realm Tower to open to the demon race, thereby alleviating imperial pressure. Furthermore, the karmic deception used to lure demon Emperors into the Trans-Realm Tower likely concealed a deeper, more intricate scheme. If he were to depart now and conclude his journey through the Trans-Realm, then the Imperial Celestial Master's plan would also crumble prematurely.
Qingyuzi had the final laugh, successfully repaying the favor of Zhao Xing's assistance in his ascension to godhood. Why, then, did he claim not to be the ultimate winner of the karmic war? Could there be an even greater power at play?
Following this, Qingyuzi appeared to speak further, but Zhao Xing heard nothing. A red aura seemed to overpower, once again suppressing Qingyuzi's green energy. Qingyuzi glanced upwards. "Zhao Xing," he said, "what you hear in this space will not be known by others. Do not delve too deeply; simply let nature take its course."
"I can only maintain this for another six months. Within that time, you must quickly reach the location of that grey bone and conclude this spatiotemporal journey."
Zhao Xing's vision blurred, and he was ejected from the tree's core space. Everything that had just transpired felt like a dream, and his curiosity swiftly faded.
"Old Qing told me to let nature take its course? I suppose I have no other choice." Zhao Xing smiled. Qingyuzi's concern that he might overthink things, advising him not to ponder too much, was actually unnecessary. He genuinely wouldn't overthink it. In this high-stakes situation, overthinking would be fruitless. Listening to advice and striving to become stronger was the only true path.
"Half of the True Spirit Heavenly Poison remains, yet Old Qing said I would clear it completely. What exactly is that grey bone?"
As Zhao Xing departed, he wore a blue and red ring on his hand, within which a single wisp of whirlwind swirled. It spun with a unique pattern, formed from a wisp of Qingyuzi's divine power. This was also the trump card that Jingyue's calculations had indicated Zhao Xing possessed, capable of defeating all of them.
"Why are you alone?" the Five Poisons Emperor asked, glancing behind Zhao Xing as he arrived by himself to rendezvous. "Since you can command Palace Gate Envoys, shouldn't you be mobilizing the Tianyou Ancient Kingdom's army and powerful individuals to act with us?"
Zhao Xing smiled faintly. "Master, who said I have no one? King Tianye of the Southern Frontier has already stationed his forces there and is waiting."
"Emperor Tianye?" Fan Hua exclaimed, clearly surprised. "Is he one of the three demigods from the Tianyou Ancient Kingdom's 22nd pre-epoch of the Barren Realm?"
"Yes," Zhao Xing confirmed with a nod.
"Wouldn't this trigger a void history event?" Jingyue asked, utterly baffled as to how Zhao Xing could command a demigod within the Trans-Realm.
"The place we're heading to, the convergence of the three realms, is inherently a zone of void history events," Zhao Xing explained. "A little more chaos won't matter. Let's depart first; we can discuss it further on the way."
Although he said that, all of this was sustained by Qingyuzi's divine power, which prevented the Trans-Realm from collapsing, allowing events to proceed with an orderly chaos. "That red light Old Qing was resisting is the very law power of the Trans-Realm Tower. And Old Qing can hold on for another six months? Divine Realm beings are truly astonishing," Zhao Xing mused inwardly. Even as a nascent Divine Realm being, Qingyuzi could transmit his immense power through his past incarnations to influence historical timelines, and even affect the Trans-Realm Tower. This significantly deepened Zhao Xing's comprehension of the Divine Realm.
"Do Divine Realm beings from the Samsara Temple resurrect individuals by reversing space-time through the Derivation God Stele, pulling them from the river of time?"
"No other super-power is known to possess the ability to directly resurrect individuals. Even resurrections within the Samsara Realm require reliance on altars."
"Considering this aspect alone, the Samsara Temple truly stands out."
Two and a half months later, Zhao Xing and the four others arrived at the southern border of the Tianyou Ancient Kingdom. Zhao Xing first met Emperor Tianye, a demigod. Upon seeing Zhao Xing, the Emperor's gaze settled on the blue ring. Subsequently, he behaved like a programmed NPC, exhibiting fixed actions and automatically knowing what to do. The Tianye Legion surrounded a chaotic area of approximately 300 cosmic units in the south, deploying formations in all eight directions. The Tianyou Ancient Kingdom, being the origin of Old Qing's previous incarnation and ranking among the top five ancient nations, possessed incredibly profound foundations. These eight star-continent formations could ensure that Zhao Xing and his companions could be teleported to any location within the 300 cosmic units.
"Lord Jing, Lord Fan, you two should remain at the base," Zhao Xing instructed.
"Why? Shouldn't we be joining you?" Jingyue and Fan Hua voiced their refusal for the first time. "Zhao Xing, if you cannot provide a valid reason, we may find it difficult to comply. Entering a void history event without a diviner and a historian is extremely dangerous." Representing the Celestial Master's Bureau and the Spark Organization, respectively, they were also on a mission and thus did not immediately agree.
Zhao Xing hesitated, for in the final scene he had witnessed, neither Jingyue nor Fan Hua were present. He wanted to avoid any further mishaps, yet he also wished to avoid arousing suspicion from the Empire's two crucial departments.
As he hesitated, the Five Poisons Emperor casually interjected, "In that case, you two can operate from within the Left Emissary's clone."
"This way, you can still contribute without facing any danger."
"Diviners and historians are too fragile. With the protection of the Prime Emissary, there will be absolutely no threat to your lives."
The Five Poisons Emperor, as always, was understanding. If a truly sensitive moment arose, Zhao Xing would only need to give a signal, and Zuo Qiyu could decide whether or not to allow them to observe.
"Very well," the two conceded, helpless but obliged to agree, as the Five Poisons Emperor's reasoning was sound.
Time elapsed, minute by minute. On Tianye Star Continent, the three stood at the center of the formation, with Zhao Xing constantly monitoring the time. At a precise moment, the hitherto dormant formation suddenly activated. Zhao Xing swiftly channeled golden light into the ground, inputting the exact coordinates.
*Whoosh* Stars swirled, and space-time distorted. The next moment, the three vanished from the teleportation array, their forms reappearing in another space-time.
*Whoosh* The clear vision before Zhao Xing's eyes gradually blurred, swiftly transforming into a grey expanse. A powerful pulling sensation came from above, and this distinct change informed Zhao Xing that he had arrived in a different location. Grey mist intertwined like flowing water, and below lay a void river where a cluster of plant life bobbed. Through the gaps in the grey mist, Zhao Xing soon discerned a new vista ahead. Approximately 0.5 astronomical units ahead, a catfish-shaped void behemoth crumbled into ash, revealing three distinct figures!
"Now! Let the space-time karmic laws of the Trans-Realm Tower complete their closed loop!" Zhao Xing declared, pointing his hand. He immediately manifested the Five-Finger Mountain, propelling the plant life below towards the front.
