Chapter 4092: News of the Golden Lotus Fairy Fruit

The jade slips recorded Fairy Yuqin’s experiences with Dao Pills. The effects of Dao Pills vary for each immortal; True Spirits generally experience better results. However, a Dao Pill is most effective the first time it is taken; regardless of its grade, its potency diminishes with subsequent uses.

During her True Immortal stage, Fairy Yuqin took a Grade-1 Dao Pill, and her Law Tree grew from approximately one zhang to five zhang. At that time, she was an ordinary immortal. After advancing to Golden Immortal, and with the aid of external resources, she cultivated into a True Spirit. Upon taking her first Grade-2 Dao Pill, her Law Tree grew from twenty zhang to thirty-five zhang.

She took a second Grade-2 Dao Pill, and her Law Tree grew to forty zhang. After taking a third Grade-2 Dao Pill, it reached forty-three zhang. With a fourth Grade-2 Dao Pill, it grew to forty-six zhang. The effects were clearly diminishing.

Ultimately, Dao Pills merely serve as an aid. For Golden Immortal cultivators to master a Law, arduous cultivation is indispensable. Otherwise, if one could master Laws simply by taking Dao Pills, immortals wouldn't need to spend vast amounts of time cultivating Laws; they would all just scramble to acquire Dao Pills.

Fairy Yuqin’s high level of alchemy allowed her to take Dao Pills extensively. For ordinary Golden Immortal cultivators, even acquiring one Grade-2 Dao Pill is fortunate; how could they possibly consume large quantities?

After exchanging insights on taking Dao Pills with other Grand Unity Golden Immortals, Fairy Yuqin reached a conclusion: it’s best to take only one Dao Pill per realm. Consuming too many Dao Pills makes the effect of higher-grade Dao Pills less significant when one advances to a higher realm.

Taking True Immortal cultivators as an example, consuming one Grade-1 Dao Pill yields the best results. Then, upon advancing to the Golden Immortal stage, one can take a Grade-2 Dao Pill.

A descendant of a Grand Unity Golden Immortal took five Grade-1 Dao Pills during their True Immortal stage. After advancing to Golden Immortal, they took one Grade-2 Dao Pill, and their Law Tree grew from eleven zhang to twenty-nine zhang. After opening their seventh aperture, they took a second Grade-2 Dao Pill, and their Law Tree grew from thirty-one zhang to forty zhang.

There are restrictions on taking Dao Pills: once a Dao Pill containing the Law of Strength has been consumed, regardless of one's cultivation realm, taking another Dao Pill containing the Law of Strength becomes ineffective. This means an immortal can consume no more than ten Dao Pills in their lifetime. Taking too many Dao Pills within a single realm might seem beneficial in the short term, but it's not advantageous in the long run.

Some immortals, however, disregard the future, believing that who knows what might happen later? They focus on making their Law Trees grow taller and enhancing their strength as much as possible, reasoning that later, when they advance to higher realms, they can consume other rare treasures. After all, Dao Pills are not the only items in the Immortal Realm that can make Law Trees grow.

Wang Changsheng had been a Golden Immortal for many years. Most of his time was spent on cultivation to improve his realm, with little time dedicated to comprehending Laws. This is a common practice among Golden Immortal cultivators; only after their cultivation realm improves do they dedicate more time to cultivating Laws.

Wang Changsheng planned to cultivate until the late Golden Immortal stage before spending time on Law cultivation. He had consumed an Enlightenment Fruit, so comprehending Laws was much easier for him than for other Golden Immortal cultivators. He had no concerns about this.

He walked out. Wang Ruyan was examining a map. "Wife, have you taken the Dao Pill?" Wang Changsheng asked.

"Yes, I have. My Law Tree grew from twenty-three zhang to forty-seven zhang. The effect was excellent," Wang Ruyan replied. "However, according to Fairy Yuqin's experiences with Dao Pills, taking too many Grade-2 Dao Pills during the Golden Immortal stage might diminish the effectiveness of Grade-3 Dao Pills if I'm fortunate enough to advance to Grand Unity Golden Immortal in the future."

Wang Changsheng nodded and said, "We still have four Grade-2 Dao Pills left. Let's save them for Qingshan and the others." His Law Tree had grown from twenty-five zhang to fifty zhang, and he was quite satisfied.

"If only we had a few more Grade-2 Dao Pills, our clan has many Golden Immortal cultivators," Wang Ruyan said with a hint of regret.

Before they left the North Sea Immortal Region, their clan had at least ten Golden Immortal cultivators. Distributing resources among them was a challenge, as they all mattered equally. "We have mutated seven-colored crystal nuclei and a recipe for Grade-2 Dao Pills," Wang Changsheng said. "If we gather the materials, we can have Hongxue or Qingbai try to refine Grade-2 Dao Pills." He believed that talents were the most precious asset; with a Tier 2 Immortal Alchemist available, and if they collected more materials, Liu Hongxue or Wang Qingbai would eventually be able to refine Grade-2 Dao Pills.

Fairy Yuqin's storage bracelet contained five mid-grade immortal artifacts. One of them was the Vermilion Bird Cauldron, an alchemy furnace. This could be given to Liu Hongxue for refining immortal pills.

"What should we do next? Return to the North Sea Immortal Region?" Wang Ruyan asked.

"They certainly won't let us go. If we go back now, we'll easily run into them. Let's travel around a bit more," Wang Changsheng said. "Since we've come all this way, let's acquire some unique cultivation resources from the Nine-Star Immortal Region, head to a large sea area, and use its teleportation array to take a roundabout way back!"

With their current strength, they couldn't defeat those two peak True Spirits. If they encountered them, they would only be able to flee. The chance of encountering them if they returned the same way was too high. They could only continue forward and take a detour back.

Upon returning to the ground, Wang Changsheng extended his divine sense widely and found no other cultivators. He summoned the Azure Nether Boat, which carried them swiftly into the sky.

After the Azure Nether Boat flew for hundreds of millions of miles, a greenish-blue hurricane swept across the void ahead. A six-colored Chaos Beast, resembling a falcon, appeared. Its body bore scorch marks and was bleeding profusely.

"A mutated six-colored Chaos Beast!" Wang Ruyan's expression turned cold. Her right index finger glowed with a dazzling blue light, and she lightly pointed into the void. A long blue streak of light shot out, heading straight for the six-colored Chaos Beast.

Wang Changsheng flicked his sleeve. The sea surface churned violently, and a massive water tornado shot skyward, heading directly for the six-colored Chaos Beast. The six-colored Chaos Beast opened its mouth and spat out a greenish-blue sound wave, shattering both the blue streak of light and the water tornado.

Seawater scattered. A large amount of blue mist surged above the six-colored Chaos Beast's head, suddenly coalescing into Wang Changsheng's form. His right index finger glowed with golden and black spiritual light, emitting two Law fluctuations, and shot towards the six-colored Chaos Beast's head. With a muffled thud, a bloody hole appeared in the six-colored Chaos Beast's head, and it fell from high in the sky.

Three crimson firelights successively flared, revealing the figures of Ximen Zhi and two others. "Oh, Fellow Daoist Wang and Madam Wang, it's you two." Ximen Zhi exclaimed softly, his face showing delight.

Ximen Yong saw the bloody hole in the six-colored Chaos Beast's head, and a flicker of surprise appeared in his eyes. It had been a while since they last met, and Wang Changsheng's strength had significantly improved, allowing him to kill the six-colored Chaos Beast so effortlessly.

"Fellow Daoist Ximen, so it was you. No wonder this six-colored Chaos Beast was severely wounded," Wang Changsheng said with a smile, grabbing the six-colored Chaos Beast's corpse and tossing it to Ximen Zhi.

"We only wounded it; it used the Law of Wind to escape," Ximen Zhi said magnanimously. "Since Fellow Daoist Wang finished it off, it belongs to you. There's no need for us to be so formal."

Wang Changsheng extracted the crystal core and gave the corpse to Ximen Zhi, as he did not keep everything for himself.

"By the way, Fellow Daoist Wang and Madam Wang, are you also heading to Wanmu Market to attend the auction?" Ximen Yong asked.

"Wanmu Market? An auction? We weren't aware of an auction; we've just been traveling!" Wang Changsheng replied.

"I heard there will be Golden Lotus Immortal Fruits at the auction. Consuming a Golden Lotus Immortal Fruit greatly increases the chance for a top-tier True Spirit to cultivate into a peak True Spirit. Fellow Daoist Wang, Madam Wang, are you interested in traveling together?" Ximen Zhi suggested, his face full of excitement.

"Golden Lotus Immortal Fruit!" Wang Changsheng was a little surprised.

"Wanmu Market!" Wang Ruyan's expression showed contemplation; she seemed to be pondering something.

"That's right. Besides the Golden Lotus Immortal Fruit, I hear there are many other good items. The journey is long, so it would be better if we traveled together," Ximen Zhi said.

"Then let's go to Wanmu Market together!" Wang Changsheng said with a smile.

Ximen Zhi nodded. The three of them flew onto the Azure Nether Boat.

Wang Changsheng returned to the deck of the Azure Nether Boat. He performed a hand seal, and the Azure Nether Boat glowed with a dazzling azure light and soared into the sky.
