Chapter 3847

A millennium had passed in the blink of an eye.

Green Lotus Island, Green Lotus Peak.

The door to a secret chamber opened, and Wang Ruyan emerged with a smile on her face. She had taken a Seven Flames Pill, successfully cultivated her fifth spiritual aperture, and her magic power had significantly increased, allowing her to comprehend another law of power.

She glanced at the secret chamber where Wang Changsheng was. He had not yet emerged from his seclusion, likely because he was at a critical point in his cultivation. With five Seven Flames Pills, opening the fifth aperture would be no issue for Wang Changsheng.

Considering the time, the Qi family's Golden Immortal Grand Ceremony was approaching. Since Wang Changsheng hadn't yet emerged from seclusion, Wang Ruyan could lead the delegation to offer congratulations instead. If it weren't for the Golden Immortal Grand Ceremony, the Wang family sending just any True Immortal cultivator to congratulate them would already be considered a significant gesture.

Wang Ruyan took out a blue Immortal Communication Disk and activated it with a magic art, but the communication mirror remained silent. She deduced that Wang Yongqian was in seclusion. She then adjusted her magic art, and soon, Wang Changming's voice rang out: "Old Ancestor, what are your commands?"

"I'm going to the Qi family to attend the Golden Immortal Grand Ceremony. Select some clansmen to accompany me. We will depart tomorrow," Wang Ruyan instructed.

"Yes, Old Ancestor," Wang Changming replied.

"Let Chuanming go as well! This is an excellent opportunity to expand his network, which will be somewhat helpful for his responsibilities," Wang Ruyan remembered something and advised.

"Ancestor Chuanming has an important task. I contacted him before, and he said he couldn't leave," Wang Changming said.

"An important task? In that case, forget it." Wang Ruyan did not press the matter. Any task requiring Wang Chuanming's personal attention must certainly be significant.

"Oh, and have Qiulin come to Green Lotus Peak," Wang Ruyan instructed. She planned to take Wang Qiulin to broaden his horizons and expand his network. Wang Qingbai and Xiahou Yao would also accompany them.

"Yes, Old Ancestor," Wang Changming replied.

Putting away the Immortal Communication Disk, Wang Ruyan walked out and sat down in a green stone pavilion. Before long, Wang Qiulin arrived.

"Your grandson greets Grandmother," Wang Qiulin bowed respectfully.

Wang Ruyan bade him sit down and inquired about his cultivation progress and daily activities. Wang Qiulin answered truthfully.

Besides cultivating, in his leisure time, Wang Qiulin would also perform divinations for guest masters and retainers who had joined the Wang family. His divinations were always remarkably accurate.

"I heard you perform divinations for guest masters and retainers?" Wang Ruyan asked kindly.

Wang Qiulin nodded and said, "When learning divination, it's essential to put it into practice. It also helps to improve one's divination skills."

"That's good. I hope you can divine great opportunities in the future, benefiting our family," Wang Ruyan said, a look of longing on her face. If a rare treasure were to appear, a high-level diviner could foresee it, but Wang Qiulin was not yet capable of that.

"I'm sure I can," Wang Qiulin replied with a confident expression.

After chatting for a while, Wang Ruyan dismissed him.

Early the next morning, Wang Ruyan, accompanied by Wang Qiulin and over a hundred other clansmen, departed Green Lotus Island and set off for the Qi family.

Less than half a month later, they arrived at a vast, boundless azure sea under a clear sky, with gentle sea breezes blowing.

"Someone's coming," Wang Qingling said, looking into the distance.

A low beast roar echoed from the distant horizon, and over a dozen streaks of red light appeared in the sky, rapidly flying towards them. Before long, Wang Ruyan and the others clearly discerned the source of the red light: over a dozen crimson steeds, their bodies covered in bristly red fur, each with a single horn on its head, their nostrils flaring with hot breath, and hooves enveloped in scarlet flames.

Riding each crimson steed was a cultivator from the Qi family. The leader was a burly youth in golden robes, an early-stage True Immortal. The Qi family placed great importance on this Golden Immortal Grand Ceremony, dispatching him to lead patrols and receive guests.

"I am Qi Yixin. Madam Wang, Ancestor Hongfeng mentioned you just yesterday. I didn't expect you to arrive so soon," the golden-robed youth said, cupping his fists with a wide smile.

"Ancestor Qi's advancement to Golden Immortal is a joyous occasion, so of course, we had to arrive early," Wang Ruyan explained.

Qi Yixin nodded, just as he was about to speak, a thunderous beast roar resounded from afar, causing the steeds beneath him to become restless. A streak of silver light appeared on the distant horizon, rapidly flying towards their location.

Before long, the silver light stopped, revealing a silver four-sided beast carriage pulled by a three-headed Jiao, entirely silver in color. A group of cultivators from the Nine Immortals Sect stood within the carriage, led by a slender youth in silver robes with bright, piercing eyes.

This was Gao Shuhao, Gao Shuyao's clan brother, and he was clearly a Golden Immortal based on his aura.

"Junior Wang Ruyan greets Senior Gao," Wang Ruyan quickly bowed. Previously, she had only known Gao Shuhao as a True Immortal. She was surprised he had advanced to the Golden Immortal stage, especially since the Nine Immortals Sect hadn't publicized it. She wondered if it was out of modesty or for some other reason.

Wang Qingling and the others quickly bowed, their expressions respectful. Gao Shuhao gave them a quick glance before dismissing them from his attention.

"Senior Gao, please come in. Ancestor Tongguang has been waiting for quite some time," Qi Yixin said courteously.

Gao Shuhao nodded, controlled his beast carriage, and followed Qi Yixin and the others, flying forward. Wang Ruyan and her group followed behind.

Ripples spread across the void ahead, and a shimmering, faintly visible light barrier appeared. After passing through the barrier, their vision blurred momentarily, and a massive island materialized before them. Viewed from high above, the island's shape resembled a golden alligator, hence its name, Golden Alligator Island.

Golden Alligator Island was much larger than Green Lotus Island. It boasted a second-tier immortal spiritual vein, and the heaven and earth spiritual energy was dense.

A streak of golden light flew out from Golden Alligator Island and instantly stopped before them. The light receded, revealing a tall, elderly man in golden robes. He had a square face and large eyes, and his aura was as vast as the sea.

"Fellow Daoist Gao, you've also advanced to the Golden Immortal stage! Congratulations to us both," the golden-robed elder said, cupping his fists with a wide smile.

"Brother Tongguang, long time no see. We've both reached the Golden Immortal stage," Gao Shuhao replied.

"This is not the place for conversation. Please, come inside." Qi Tongguang gestured them in, personally ushering Gao Shuhao and his group into Golden Alligator Island. Wang Ruyan's group did not receive the same treatment; Qi Hongfeng personally came to greet and entertain them.

"Madam Wang, did Fellow Daoist Wang not come?" Qi Hongfeng asked.

"My husband is at a critical point in his cultivation and cannot leave. My presence is just as good," Wang Ruyan explained.

Qi Hongfeng understood, and said with a smile, "No matter. Many True Immortal cultivators have arrived for this Golden Immortal Grand Ceremony. I will introduce you to them then. You've had a tiring journey, so I'll arrange your accommodations first."

He led them to a vast estate complete with pavilions, terraces, gardens, and covered walkways—everything they could need. Wang Ruyan was very pleased with the arrangements and settled in.

In a secret chamber, runes flickered on the stone walls, emitting powerful restrictive energy fluctuations. A curvaceous young woman in a green dress was conversing with Qi Shuting.
