Chapter 2792: Blood Clan Semi-Saint

Judging solely from this map, countless islands, large and small, dotted the entire Cage Sea like stars in the sky. However, none of the other islands were marked; only the one in the very center caught his attention.

Lu Ye couldn't understand what danger this particular island could hold, especially since the Cage Sea was a dwelling place for humanity. Unfortunately, Si Shengya had already left, so Lu Ye couldn't ask. He could only suppress the doubts in his mind.

His gaze was soon drawn to another spot. This location also had a mark, which was very fresh; it must have been made by Si Shengya when he handed over the map. This was undoubtedly the location Si Shengya had pointed out.

Lu Ye examined it briefly, comparing it with his current position, and quickly understood.

Moments later, he shot out from beneath the sea and flew straight in one direction. According to the map's instructions, he would likely reach the place in just two or three days. However, Si Shengya had only told him to go and have a look without expecting much, so he wasn't sure what the situation there would be.

He hadn't traveled long when Lu Ye suddenly felt a jolt. He stopped, and with a flick of his finger, a cloud of blood mist burst open before him, forming a distorted face.

"What is it now?" he asked impatiently.

Blood Scourge's voice came from the distorted face: "You're really unlucky, kid. How did you end up in this spot at this time? Get out of there, quickly!"

"What?" Lu Ye was completely confused, but his expression quickly changed as a powerful divine sense suddenly spread from a certain direction, locking onto him from afar. It was clear that the owner of this divine sense was very far from him, yet its strength was far beyond Lu Ye's current reach.

A Half-Saint!

He sharply turned his head towards the source of the divine sense, and a point of blood-red light appeared in his vision.

"Too late! He's found you!" Blood Scourge's voice continued.

Only then did Lu Ye realize that Blood Scourge had been giving him a warning. The blood art mark Blood Scourge had left on Lu Ye could undoubtedly sense Lu Ye's location within a certain range, which was how he had detected Lu Ye's current whereabouts. Blood Scourge himself was also nearby, very likely with that Half-Saint.

"Don't run, absolutely don't run! It's a Half-Saint from my Blood Race who's targeting you; you won't escape. If you trust me, just stand there and don't move!"

Of course, Lu Ye couldn't believe his nonsense. If he really stood there without moving, he would have no hope of escaping from a Half-Saint.

However, just as he was about to flee, a voice came from afar in the direction of the blood-red light: "Wretched slave, return at once!"

This was Blood Scourge's voice.

Lu Ye's heart stirred slightly. He hesitated for a moment, then flashed forward towards the blood-red light. If Blood Scourge truly coveted the supreme treasure on Lu Ye, he would never want him to fall into the hands of a Half-Saint. So, to some extent, Blood Scourge didn't want anything to happen to him; otherwise, he wouldn't have warned him just now or explained the severity of the situation.

Although the Blood Race Half-Saint wasn't close to his position, Lu Ye really wasn't confident he could shake him off, unless he relied on assistance from his clone and directly teleported back. However, doing so, Lu Ye was somewhat worried it might expose the location of the several million tribesmen. Half-Saints possessed formidable abilities and might well be able to track his escape.

What truly solidified Lu Ye's decision to approach Blood Scourge was the phrase Blood Scourge had shouted. With Blood Scourge's words, the initiative, whether to stay or leave, was now in Lu Ye's hands. If he disregarded Blood Scourge and simply fled at that moment, Blood Scourge would undoubtedly be suspected by the Half-Saint.

This was Blood Scourge's proactive display of sincerity!

There wasn't much direct communication between them, but they understood each other implicitly.

As he moved closer to the blood-red light, Lu Ye clearly felt the powerful divine sense that had been locked onto him vanish, as if it had suddenly lost interest in him.

A moment later, Lu Ye's figure plunged into the blood-red light, and guided discreetly by Blood Scourge, he landed beside him, bowing solemnly with cupped fists. "My lord!" he said.

Blood Scourge looked very displeased and snorted coldly. "You wretched slave, you made me search for you for ages!"

After speaking, he then looked at another Blood Race member standing not far away, a hint of a fawning smile on his face. "Your Holiness, please forgive me," he said. "This is a blood slave I acquired in the Inner Realm; we got separated when we arrived. I never expected to run into him again here."

The Blood Race Half-Saint stood sideways, his figure tall and imposing, his expression naturally commanding respect without anger. He merely grunted faintly and paid no further attention.

It was common for powerful Blood Race members to subjugate blood slaves. Not just among the Blood Race; even Lu Ye himself had taken several blood servants in the past.

"Now get back!" Blood Scourge then turned and reprimanded Lu Ye.

Lu Ye immediately stood obediently behind him, keeping his eyes downcast and looking utterly docile.

Although it was inappropriate to deliberately scan the surroundings, Lu Ye had noticed upon arriving that within this blood-red expanse, there were numerous treasure ships, totaling no less than a hundred vessels, each of considerable size. However, these treasure ships appeared not to be warships used for sieges or conquests. He didn't know what they were for.

Lu Ye secretly speculated, "Are they going to attack some large island? But if so, what is a Blood Race Half-Saint doing here?" Si Shengya had said that Half-Saints were not allowed to interfere in racial conflicts, a rule of the Origin Realm. Although this rule was likely ineffective for the human race, a Half-Saint's esteemed status should prevent them from bullying the weak.

However, at this moment, Lu Ye felt a little relieved, as Blood Scourge truly had no intention of harming him this time. This secretly surprised Lu Ye. The Blood Drinking City Lord had suffered such a great loss at his hands before and had even had his Starry Sky Chessboard stolen by him. It was impossible for him to bear no grudge. He just didn't know what Blood Scourge was plotting.

"Your Holiness, I expended a great deal of energy in the previous battle, so I'll take my leave for now," Blood Scourge said after a while, then turned to leave.

Lu Ye quickly followed behind him.

Entering the ship's cabin and a room within, Blood Scourge activated a restrictive formation, took out some Dao Fish, and sat cross-legged to cultivate. Lu Ye stood quietly to the side.

It was almost an hour later before Blood Scourge suddenly opened his eyes. Lu Ye looked at him at the same time. Their eyes met, and Blood Scourge nodded slightly, transmitting a message with his divine sense: "You're a lucky kid. If I hadn't detected you in time, you might have been captured by Blood Sky Punishment by now!"

Blood Sky Punishment, as Blood Scourge called him, should be the name of that Blood Race Half-Saint.

Lu Ye neither confirmed nor denied anything. "Where are you going?" he asked.

Blood Scourge chuckled. "You'll know once we get there."

With his secretive demeanor, Lu Ye immediately lost interest in asking further questions. However, there was still one question he needed to clarify: "Blood Lord, what is your intention in all this?"

This whole affair could be considered Blood Scourge actively helping him. However, neither their respective standings nor their past grievances were enough to explain Blood Scourge's actions. Lu Ye had initially thought Blood Scourge was coveting the supreme treasure on him, but upon closer thought, it didn't seem quite right. From Blood Scourge's perspective, the current power gap between them wasn't significant, and he actually wasn't confident he could defeat Lu Ye.

Unless Blood Scourge had another motive!

"We are both wanderers in this vast world," Blood Scourge said, smiling as he looked at him. "Today I help you; perhaps one day you can help me too."

This guy indeed had another motive!

Lu Ye just didn't know what he was truly after yet, and judging by his demeanor, he probably wouldn't tell, even if asked.

"Don't overthink it," Blood Scourge said. "Just rest for now. There's a big show to watch later." He then closed his eyes again.

The treasure ship's journey was very smooth; at least Lu Ye didn't feel any turbulence.

It wasn't until a day later, when Blood Scourge led Lu Ye back onto the deck, that a magnificent large island suddenly appeared in their vision. Although he was new to this area, Lu Ye had wandered across the Cage Sea before and seen many islands, but none had ever been as massive as the one before him. Even Azure Wave Island, one of the twenty major islands, was less than one-tenth the size of this island.

Lu Ye immediately recalled the large island marked on the map Si Shengya had given him earlier. He mused, "Could it be such a coincidence? Could this be that island?" But across the entire Cage Sea, there seemed to be no island larger than this one.

What astonished Lu Ye even more was that on this massive island, there were nine colossal pillars reaching to the heavens. Their tops disappeared into the clouds, vaguely out of sight, while their bases plunged into the island's body to an unknown depth. At first glance, it looked as if nine gigantic nails had pinned this enormous island to the sea.

Crucially, as Lu Ye looked at the nine divine pillars, they felt vaguely familiar, as if he had seen them somewhere before.

"Abyss Island," Blood Scourge's voice suddenly rang out beside his ear. "This is the very center of the Cage Sea, and also the center of the Origin Realm."

Lu Ye thought, "Just as I suspected." This was indeed the large island marked "extremely dangerous" on the map, but from a distance, it didn't seem to have any dangerous spots. Furthermore, if there truly were any danger, why would the Blood Race bring so many treasure ships here?

"Kid," Blood Scourge suddenly turned his head, looking at him with a half-smile. "I remember you're supposedly the Son of the Star Abyss. Don't you feel any affinity being here?"

Lu Ye frowned, unsure why he would say that. What Blood Scourge didn't know, however, was that Lu Ye, the so-called Son of the Star Abyss, was already a disobedient son, long abandoned by that Will.

Seeing Lu Ye's confusion, Blood Scourge couldn't help but feel a bit confused himself. "Truly no feeling at all?" he asked.

Lu Ye retorted, "What feeling should I have?"

Blood Scourge eyed him suspiciously, as if trying to determine if he was lying. Then he secretly transmitted a message: "The Abyss, it's suppressed here!"

"The Abyss?"

"That's what the Half-Saints of the Origin Realm call that Will!"

Lu Ye's pupils contracted. He stared at Blood Scourge in disbelief, wanting to ask if he knew what he was talking about. That Will is the Abyss, and the Abyss is suppressed here? That Will's tendrils permeated both the Outer and Inner Realms. If it truly possessed sentience, it should be omniscient and omnipotent. How could it possibly be suppressed here?

Yet, judging by Blood Scourge's expression, he clearly wasn't speaking idly.

"That's why this place is called Abyss Island!" Blood Scourge said, his gaze profound.
