Chapter 329: Retribution

"Since our goals are aligned," Chen Jun Nan said, "then it doesn't matter if I'm a Ji Dao Zhe or not. We can work together, right?"

"That's fine," Yan Zhi Chun said with a grin, "Ji Dao Wan Sui will lead us to victory. I'll activate my ability. Although the person to my left is already deaf, I can control the one in front of me. Next, both of us will choose 'yes,' but with you, there are six people in total on the field, so we still need two more to choose 'yes.'"

"Don't worry, besides me, there's another reliable teammate." Chen Jun Nan patted the wooden ceiling and said to Yan Zhi Chun, "Jie, if this works out, don't rush off. I'll treat you to a meal."

"Alright, I'll wait."

In the thirty-sixth round, Chen Jun Nan found a room and landed, then casually pressed 'yes' on the screen. He then kicked off the wall, flipped over the roof, and followed the massive iron chains until he reached the area near Di She's room, where he hid and observed.

He calculated the voting situation: Yan Zhi Chun had Xu Qian on her left and Zhong Zhen on her right, both of whom might choose 'yes.' Adding himself and Yun Yao, this would be the first time everyone was united in their choice.

Even if one of them backed out, it would still be four votes against two—they couldn't lose this round.

Sure enough, Di She's screen flickered, slowly displaying a message: "The final answer for this question is—'yes.'"

Di She trembled all over and quickly approached the screen, lifting his head with a cautious expression to look upward.

He spotted Chen Jun Nan hiding on the ceiling right away.

"You little brat...!!" Di She gritted his teeth and said, "What the hell are you up to?"

"I'm messing with you," Chen Jun Nan laughed. "You old pervert, go to hell."

With that, he slowly shifted his body to get closer to Di She's room, then closed his eyes and muttered under his breath: "Damn, this is really unlucky for me."

As soon as he finished speaking, a massive iron ball suddenly appeared above Di She, and the iron chains made no sound at all, as if it had always been there.

"You bastard!!"

Di She tried to shout, but the iron ball crashed down.

Since Chen Jun Nan was very close to the spiky iron ball, his body was severely scratched across a wide area, with gruesome wounds blooming open, but he seemed unfazed—after all, he had to be near Di She's room for the iron ball to drop there.

"Thud!!"

The iron ball didn't hit the ground; it seemed to be held up by something.

"Di She, you old thief, still struggling in your final moments..." Chen Jun Nan clutched his wounds and said, "Go to hell..."

"Kid... I-I won't die..." Di She braced the iron ball with both hands, gritting his teeth fiercely, "As long as I survive this... I'll kill you right away..."

Chen Jun Nan looked up nervously at the chain holding the iron ball. Something wasn't right.

Why hadn't the chain broken?

Was Yun Yao's plan different from what he imagined?!

"Yun Yao... did you fail?"

He sensed things weren't going well; there seemed to be a problem with Yun Yao's part.

"Yun Yao!!" Chen Jun Nan shouted from the ceiling, "Where's your 'belief'?!"

The loud voice reached Yun Yao's room nearby, where she was sitting with her eyes closed, sweating profusely.

She had thought this was too straightforward.

She had never seen that huge, steel-hedgehog-like iron ball or the chains connected to it. So, how could she destroy the device through imagination?

A spiky... iron ball?

"Just... give me a little more time..." Yun Yao murmured with her eyes closed, "Give me another chance..."

At that moment, the iron ball began to rise slowly, ending the attack.

In just a few seconds, Chen Jun Nan had figured out the situation.

For Yun Yao, fully controlling something that didn't exist was extremely difficult.

Chen Jun Nan quickly thought it over, then suddenly looked up and yelled: "Awesome!!"

The booming voice echoed into Yun Yao's room, startling her.

She looked up at the ceiling in confusion, unsure of what was happening.

"Big star, you've got some serious skills!" Chen Jun Nan said. "How did you do that? The ring on the chain holding the iron ball has loosened, letting it drop just right."

"Ah...?" Yun Yao felt a bit relieved hearing Chen Jun Nan's words. "Really?"

"That's right," Chen Jun Nan said. "Luckily, that chain has been used so many times it's gotten rusty. Otherwise, your 'resonance' might not have worked."

As Chen Jun Nan shouted, he glanced at the chain above Di She's head, where rust was visibly forming.

The things he described were taking shape in Yun Yao's mind. Once her mental image matched reality, "strong luck" would take effect.

"Big star, how on earth did you pull that off?" Chen Jun Nan continued, frowning. "Why did you know exactly that the sixth ring from the bottom on the chain was rusted?"

"The sixth one...?"

"And you made it break right there—impressive, big star."

Di She started to sense something was off. The man on the ceiling seemed to be helping someone's "resonance."

"Kid... I'm going to end you!!"

As the iron ball slowly rose, Di She leaped up and reached out with his rough hands toward Chen Jun Nan on the wall.

Chen Jun Nan's face turned cold. He crouched down quickly and kicked out with one foot, landing squarely on Di She's face. It felt like kicking a stone, painfully jarring his foot.

"Smack!"

With a crisp sound, Di She was knocked straight out of the air and rolled on the ground. Though the kick didn't hurt him much, it sent him tumbling.

Chen Jun Nan knew he had just gotten lucky. If the next kick missed and Di She grabbed him, he was done for.

He looked up at the rising iron ball. The sixth ring from the bottom was indeed nearly rusted through, but it hadn't broken yet. If it snapped elsewhere, everything would be ruined.

"Oh, big star!" Chen Jun Nan shouted anxiously, "That break you caused is so clean! It's like it was cut with a knife. Now, this guy who's raped women, imprisoned kids, committed every evil deed, and deserves a thousand deaths—Di She—will finally be taken out by us, right?!"

Snap!

Yun Yao felt a surge of clarity in her thoughts; her belief had never been stronger.

Yes, Di She deserved to die; he had no right to live.

That iron ball would absolutely drop and crush him to death.

Evil always gets its due.

Under Chen Jun Nan's excited gaze, the chain holding the iron ball finally snapped. The iron ball plummeted straight into Di She's room.
