Chapter 327: Smart People

About a minute later, Yunyao slowly lifted her head.

"I have it..."

She slowly widened her eyes and carefully considered the feasibility of the entire plan. "This scheme can work... I have a way!"

"What way?" Chen Junnan asked.

"It's just..." Yunyao paused for a moment, then said, "I—I can't say."

Chen Junnan suddenly understood something and nodded with a smile. "I see! Big star, you're right—that's not a 'scheme' at all, but a one hundred percent certain 'fact' that's going to happen."

"That's right!" Yunyao nodded seriously. "It's definitely going to happen, so it's not my scheme. Everything is just a sudden stroke of 'good luck'."

After hearing this, Chen Junnan asked, "What do I need to do... to bring about this good luck?"

"Smash it," Yunyao said. "Let that spiked wowo tou fall as planned, and everything will happen."

"Understood!"

Chen Junnan hung up the phone, then stepped on a chair in the room and jumped up to grab the massive moving chain on the ceiling.

The rules never said that participants couldn't appear in other participants' rooms, nor that they couldn't be on the ceiling.

"I'm really a genius."

In the next two rounds, Yunyao stayed in her room, steadying her mind and trying to deepen her conviction.

What should happen will definitely happen... But beads of sweat formed on her forehead.

Although her "luck" was strong, making this "future" truly come to pass seemed too difficult.

"It will happen... It definitely will..." Yunyao kept reassuring herself.

In the thirty-third round, Chen Junnan had approached the ceiling above Di She's room. He was hanging in mid-air, gripping the chain, and hiding in the shadows while watching Di She's screen. As soon as that old schemer's screen showed the final answer for this round as "yes," he would immediately move to guide the iron ball down.

But to his surprise, the answer this time was not "yes," but "no."

"What...?" Chen Junnan hesitated slightly for a moment, then quickly realized.

He had gone a bit overboard earlier.

From everyone's perspective, the iron ball was now an indiscriminate attack—if it fell, someone would definitely die. So, no one dared to choose "yes" this time; for self-preservation, everyone except Yunyao had unanimously chosen "no."

"If you all start protecting yourselves now... this is going to be a bit tricky for me..."

Chen Junnan felt his strategy was stuck. The six people in the game were no ordinary players—how could he get them to unite and choose "yes"?

Time was extremely precious; they only had fifteen rounds left, during which the iron ball would only have five chances to fall...

"Hold on..."

A flash of insight struck Chen Junnan's mind, and he began to understand Yunyao's strategy.

If Yunyao's plan was what he thought it was, then their remaining time would be even shorter—not fifteen rounds, but nine.

The iron ball had to fall on Di She's room within three times to guarantee a one hundred percent kill.

"Damn it..." Chen Junnan sweated profusely on the ceiling. "Lao Qi, oh Lao Qi, I really want to call you for help... How can I get these people to all listen to me?"

A few seconds later, Chen Junnan suddenly thought of something.

"Hang on, why should I figure this out myself?" He slowly smiled. "This plan... let the smart ones handle it!"

...

The girl in white sat in her room, pondering what might happen next, when she heard a faint knocking sound.

Knock knock knock.

It startled her, but she stayed quiet, stood up, and walked to the door without making a sound.

She pressed her ear against the door and listened quietly for a while. The knocking came again, but not from the door—this time from the ceiling.

Knock knock knock.

She dragged a chair over, stood on it, and listened carefully. The sound really seemed to be coming from the ceiling.

Someone up there?

What kind of lunatic is this?

The girl in white thought for a moment, then reached up and knocked on the ceiling.

Knock knock knock.

"Hey!" A muffled voice came from above the ceiling. "Good morning! Can you hear me?"

The girl in white slowly furrowed her brow. "Who are you?"

"I'm just a law-abiding participant, that's all. I've got a deal I want to discuss with you."

"Law-abiding...?" The girl in white looked up at the ceiling and replied with interest, "You... go ahead and tell me."

"Hey, I'm in a life-or-death gamble with this old guy, and now I'm a bit stuck... I might need you to come out and help me think it through."

Upon hearing this, the girl in white slowly crossed her arms and smiled meaningfully.

"Hah?" she said with a laugh. "So you're the one gambling with Di She? Now you seem even scarier than Di She—how did you end up lurking on the ceiling of a single girl's room?"

"Hey! You're absolutely right!"

Chen Junnan sighed with a touch of annoyance. "But I'm really at my wit's end, so I had to hunker down here for a bit. Don't worry, though—I'm a proper gentleman; I never do anything like peeping."

"Hearing you say that puts me at ease..." The girl in white nodded with a smile. "So, this 'gentleman on the beam,' what kind of help do you want from me?"

"I want you to choose 'yes'," Chen Junnan said. "I know you're a formidable person. If you can persuade the people on your left and right to choose 'yes' together in the next round, we'll win for sure."

"Is something off here?" The girl in white looked up and asked, "If we choose 'yes,' it looks like only you win—we don't. After all, once 'yes' is chosen, the iron ball could fall in any room, but not on the ceiling."

"Wrong, wrong." Chen Junnan shook his head. "The iron ball doesn't fall randomly—I have a way to control it."

"Oh...?" The girl in white quickly thought it over after hearing the man's confident words. "I get it... You're the 'Ti Zui'?"

"Hey..." Chen Junnan shook his head helplessly. "You and Lao Qi are the two people in 'Zhong Yan Zhi Di' that I find the most annoying—how do you guess it so quickly?"

The girl in white, hearing Chen Junnan's indirect confirmation, grew even more puzzled.

"Since you're the 'Ti Zui'... that means the iron ball has been targeting you all along, right?" She began analyzing based on Chen Junnan's "echo." "So, you're up on my ceiling now—does that mean you want to kill me?"

"Well..." Chen Junnan felt he couldn't hide it anymore. "I really don't want to go after a lady, but honestly, if I die now, things will get even messier, so I have to threaten you a little here."

"Is that so...?"

The girl in white looked up again, and to her surprise, blood started seeping through the ceiling. It seemed this man was seriously injured and just bluffing.

Chen Junnan didn't know if his plan had worked; he was about to add a couple more lines when he suddenly felt a hand roughly grip his neck, pinning him down.

He looked around in panic and realized the hand choking him was his own right hand.

The girl in white's voice now came from inside the room: "What's wrong with you... thinking you can threaten me?"
