Chapter 705: Action

"Okay!" Qian Fu immediately agreed to Chen Hongyu's request.

"Where did you get 50,000 from?" Li Huowang looked at him.

Qian Fu quickly leaned in, lowering his voice. "Shh, just assume I have it! Aren't we trying to get through this trouble together right now? We can worry about other things later! Better to be in debt than dead!"

Hearing this, Li Huowang remained silent, watching Qian Fu stuff the money into Chen Hongyu's hand.

At this moment, Yang Na's face showed deep conflict. She wasn't conflicted because of the money, but because of their recent conversation. "Huowang, are you sure this woman is telling the truth? Special abilities, this... this is really..."

"I..." A hint of hesitation appeared on Li Huowang's face, his gaze darting between Qian Fu and Chen Hongyu.

"I don't know either... Since we're already here, let's just try it. We shouldn't listen to what they say, only watch what they do."

Although he said that, Li Huowang definitely wouldn't have chosen this if there were any other option.

Hearing this, Yang Na, her expression still conflicted, could only nod silently.

"How can I get you out then?" Li Huowang asked Chen Hongyu.

"It's fine, she doesn't need us to rescue her! She's very capable! She can get out by herself!" Qian Fu said confidently.

"I'm different from Qian Fu. I wasn't locked up here; I paid to get in. Getting out is just a matter of a word for me. Come on. I have a lot of things, come in and help me pack." Chen Hongyu said, turning to leave the visiting room.

"Come on! Li Huowang, let's go help with the luggage quickly! See? Here's a helper!" Qian Fu said, turning and walking towards the residential ward.

Li Huowang, with a complex expression, thought for a moment, then said to Yang Na, "Let's go. Let's get her out first."

Yang Na nodded and followed Li Huowang towards the inpatient department.

Learning they were there to help a patient pack, especially one who had paid for their own admission, the three easily gained access to the interior of the Sixth People's Hospital.

This place was no different from other psychiatric hospitals, merely featuring odd behaviors and incoherent ramblings, which Li Huowang had long grown accustomed to.

As Li Huowang and the others walked further inside, various absurd statements reached his ears.

"I don't eat eggplant, not because I'm picky, but because the eggplants they serve me look shifty-eyed and suspicious. If you give me a different bowl of eggplant, I'll definitely eat it."

"I'll tell you a secret: our world is actually likely a holographic impression left within the space of another, higher world. The things around us seem real, but they're just images. The reason we can move is because something in that other higher world moved, and the reason we can think is because that thing in the higher world is thinking! This is a physical model I proposed in 1997, but it hasn't received academic recognition. But I'm telling you, everything I'm saying is true!! The whole world is fake!"

"What's all this about higher worlds? Let me take your pulse. Oh, you're very sick. Did you take the medicine I prescribed earlier?"

Sensing Yang Na's nervousness, Li Huowang gently reassured her, "It's okay. Those who can move freely are mild cases with no violent tendencies; there won't be any danger."

The three soon arrived at Hongyu's room. When they saw the large pile of luggage under her bed—a multitude of plastic buckets and basins—some of the items were unrecognizable to Li Huowang.

Not only was there a lot of stuff, but both the luggage bags and the woven sacks were filthy, making the fastidious Yang Na frown immediately.

"Just take that bag of snacks; I'll get the rest when I come back," Li Huowang said, picking up a woven sack full of clothes with both hands and heading out.

Moving things back and forth was exhausting, but fortunately, both Li Huowang and Qian Fu were quite strong. They made two trips each and finally finished moving everything.

Li Huowang carried a suitcase, making the final trip out with Chen Hongyu, who had changed into casual clothes.

"You encountered them? And fought them?" Chen Hongyu suddenly asked.

Li Huowang nodded. "Yes, I even killed one of them and bit off another's finger. Unfortunately, even after calling the police, they couldn't be found."

"Hmph, how naive. You actually thought about calling the police? They won't believe you. They've recruited some people, one of whom has powerful special abilities. They'll erase all evidence completely, leaving nothing behind."

Li Huowang looked at her very seriously, at her three chins. "I just want to ask you one thing: is everything you're saying true?"

"What? People have already come looking for you, and you still don't believe?"

"Whether I believe it or not doesn't matter. As long as this problem is completely resolved, I want to live a normal life. I don't want to deal with anything else."

"Don't count on it. Some things, you can't just ignore because you don't want to. If you want to solve this trouble, you *must* deal with it."

After speaking, Chen Hongyu picked up her luggage and immediately quickened her pace.

Just then, *whoosh!* A figure suddenly flashed behind Li Huowang, grabbing a coat hanger, pulling it open, and tightly strangling Li Huowang's neck with it.

The plastic-coated wire, pressed against his windpipe, made Li Huowang unable to breathe. His head uncontrollably began to throb with blood. He gripped the hanger with both hands, struggling to look back.

He quickly saw a familiar, inverted face: it was Wang Wei, his former attending physician!

Wang Wei pressed his foot firmly against Li Huowang's back, preventing him from breaking free, and glared at him with a distorted expression. "How long are you going to keep lying to yourself?! Remember! That world wasn't fake! Everything that happened there was real! Wake up!!"

"Cough, cough, cough!" The sensation of suffocation grew stronger. Li Huowang's pupils rolled upwards, and soon he saw a strange circle within them, filled with shifting snowflake patterns.

*Thud!* Chen Hongyu punched Wang Wei's head, knocking him unconscious. He collapsed to the side, his fate unknown.

Li Huowang quickly removed the hanger embedded in his flesh, clutching his neck and coughing violently.

"Are you okay?" Chen Hongyu patted Li Huowang's back, looking at the unconscious Wang Wei to the side, her expression growing serious.

"I really didn't expect their people to be able to sneak in here. What exactly did you do? They're watching you so closely."

Once he could breathe steadily, Li Huowang, still shaken, recalled the recent experience. That guy's strength was astonishing; if Chen Hongyu hadn't intervened, Wang Wei's sudden ambush might have succeeded.

Thinking this, he cast a grateful glance at Chen Hongyu. "Thanks."

Regardless of whether she was mentally ill, she had at least proven her goodwill towards him. Even if she was, she was a *good* kind of mentally ill.
