Chapter 1005: Killing

Li Huowang's body disintegrated; his limbs, internal organs, and head all seemed to disconnect, scattering in the water. This was merely the consequence of Fusheng Tian's gaze; the entity had done nothing else.

"Am I going to die?" As this thought flashed through his mind, Li Huowang's consciousness immediately began to fade. Facing imminent death, Li Huowang felt no fear; his heart was filled only with intense unwillingness.

"No! I cannot die! I absolutely cannot die! If I die, who will revive Suisui! I absolutely cannot die!"

As Li Huowang roared these words decisively, his body, which should have died, reanimated. Immersed in the seawater, Li Huowang's fragmented body began to regenerate, growing various deformed organs. Just then, a water sleeve covered in white feathers passed through Li Huowang's remains like a chain, carrying away his death and finally freeing him from his near-death state.

Li Huowang's mind raced. He knew that while he couldn't die now, he was completely helpless in his current state and had to find a way to regain his mobility! Quickly recalling the abilities of his allies, Li Huowang immediately had an idea.

An eyeball with limbs resembling fractured infant hands and feet wielded three appendages, dragging Li Huowang's half-mouth as it quickly swam towards the five overlapping Buddhas. He was currently fighting the Sijin of Fusheng Tian; anything he targeted would be betrayed by its own flesh and blood. However, it wasn't always effective; some Sijin without flesh and blood were completely beyond his reach.

Taking advantage of a moment when the blazing Gu God next to him was assisting, Li Huowang's half-mouth loudly called out to Wuzhi: "Wuzhi! Use your ability to help me!"

As soon as Li Huowang finished speaking, the five mouths of the Five Wisdom Tathagata opened simultaneously. A kind of overlapping Buddhist scripture began to spread continuously with the trembling of the black water.

"Jie Di Jie Di, Boro... Di, Boro Seng Jie Di, Pu Ti Seng Sa He, Yi Boro Ruo Boro Mi Duo Gu..."

As the sound of the Buddhist scripture entered Li Huowang's ears and his nose caught the scent of temple incense, his body began to continuously grow various flesh to fill the gaping fissures. Soon, Li Huowang regained a new body, though its appearance was bizarre and distorted, resembling the Buddha of Zhengde Temple.

However, Li Huowang couldn't bother with anything else at that moment. He immediately reached into his head with utmost speed, forcibly tearing out his memories concerning Fusheng Tian. Seeing the transparent water around him turn into a dull, colorful black again, and distant objects become invisible, Li Huowang finally let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Although the immediate problem was resolved, the situation was far from over. Looking at the chaos before him and the others engaged in battle with various Sijin, Li Huowang dragged his bloated, distorted body, raised the military saber in his hand, and roared as he charged towards them.

Bullets flew towards him. As Li Huowang abruptly raised his military saber, a crisp "clang" echoed, and the bullets ricocheted back. He fiercely slashed his saber across the chest of a shadowy figure. Hot blood splattered onto Li Huowang's face, making the killing intent in his eyes even stronger.

As the fighting continued, Li Huowang, accumulating more and more wounds, not only did not tire but became more formidable with each kill. Another saber thrust pierced someone's head, and a downward pull caused internal organs to immediately spill out from the opening.

Just as he was about to continue, Li Huowang suddenly stumbled. He looked down and saw Zhao Lei, who was missing an ear. Zhao Lei appeared severely wounded, seemingly on the verge of death. His right hand, missing two fingers, weakly waved at Li Huowang. With pale lips, Zhao Lei used his last ounce of strength to desperately clutch Li Huowang, saying to him, "Li Huowang... I lied to you... you didn't actually steal my magnet... it's still there... I was just afraid they'd covet it..."

"Don't die! At least don't die here! Go back to Baiyujing to die! Otherwise, your Heavenly Dao will go cheap to someone else!" An anxious Li Huowang forcibly dragged him up. Then he looked around, seeing Yang Na's back in the distance. Li Huowang shouted loudly, "Wusheng Laomu! Come quickly! Take the death from him!"

"I also have my own little... thoughts... but... none of you... care about me... you're all just using me..." As Zhao Lei said this, his eyes began to roll upwards, and his pupils gradually dilated. "Heh heh... you think... I lost? That's... not necessarily true... I just... won't do as you wish..."

Zhao Lei, his eyes blank and lifeless, uttered his last words to the empty sky. He opened his mouth and spat a large mouthful of blood onto Li Huowang's chest, after which his body became motionless.

Li Huowang fiercely flung Zhao Lei's corpse to the ground and, gripping his saber, charged back into the rain-soaked battlefield. But seeing the enemy numbers show no sign of decreasing, Li Huowang knew he couldn't continue like this! People had already died; if this continued, more and more would die! They had to retreat to Baiyujing immediately!

He turned and shouted loudly to Zhao Shuangdian, "Take the others and leave! All of you retreat! I'll cover the rear!"

As soon as Li Huowang finished speaking, a staff swung towards him with a whistling sound, striking him squarely on the head. The force of this blow was immense. Li Huowang felt a ringing explosion in his mind and even heard the sound of his own skull cracking. A dazed Li Huowang saw his opponent raise the staff again, slamming it directly towards his forehead. The force was immense; if it connected, his entire head would likely be crushed.

Just as the staff was about to hit, Li Huowang instantly sobered up, his body rapidly shifted, and he dodged a zhang away, evading the attack. Taking advantage of the opponent's momentum fading and new strength not yet gathered, Li Huowang flipped his weapon, grasping the military saber in a reverse grip, and directly thrust it into the opponent's chest.

Just then, Li Huowang suddenly felt a pain in his chest. He looked down and saw crimson blood continuously seeping from his left abdomen; he had been shot. Clasping his abdominal wound, Li Huowang turned around, looking at the three dark muzzles pointed at him in the distance. Rage, intertwined with killing intent, continuously assailed Li Huowang's dwindling sanity as he roared loudly at the distant gun muzzles.

The moment the gunshots rang out, Li Huowang unhesitatingly reached behind him and pulled something out. A clanking sound echoed as his copper coin sword abruptly elongated, red threads coiling around each coin, swinging out like a red afterimage.

"An Zhen Guang Li Da Ling Ling Ding!"

Accompanied by the clang of metal and the tearing of flesh, the incoming bullets, along with the guns and the people wielding them, were all sliced in half by Li Huowang's copper coin sword.
