Chapter 962: Lake Bottom

Qin Sang wasn't very interested in the demons' plans. These were matters that Nascent Soul cultivators of both races should concern themselves with.

Although he wasn't a cultivator from Canglang Sea and was eager to return to the Little Cold Domain, as a human, he wasn't averse to doing what he could.

If he had the ability to kill these demon spies, he wouldn't show the slightest mercy.

However, all these demons originated from the major royal families of the Demon Sea, possessing extraordinary bloodlines and immense strength.

Fairy Caiyi and Gu Heng, a descendant of the Xuanfeng and a member of the Flood Dragon royal family respectively, both carried peak demon bloodlines, making their strength defy conventional understanding.

Their powerful escape techniques astonished Qin Sang.

After Qin Sang's cultivation and physical body both broke through, his escape techniques should surpass those of the two demons. Currently, however, he had little confidence in shaking them off.

If he revealed any flaws or acted rashly, he would face the simultaneous encirclement of seven top-tier masters.

His escape techniques, which he had always been proud of, were ineffective against these powerful demons.

With his main body, external incarnation, the still-recovering Bai (who was overdrawn), and the Two-Headed Hou, Qin Sang could at most deal with three of them, and even then, victory wasn't guaranteed.

These powerful demons were as intelligent as humans; they wouldn't passively wait to be struck by lightning. Their combined efforts would limit the lethality of the "Lightning Control Art."

Even with good luck, finding an opportunity to ambush and severely wound one or two...

...other powerful demons would seize the moment during Qin Sang's spellcasting interval to attack him. Two fists couldn't contend with four hands, and even with the Three-Light Jade Liquid, he'd have little chance to strike again, putting him in a very dangerous situation.

Currently, his only concern was how to maintain his perfect disguise, ensure no flaws were discovered, and then find an opportunity to get away from these powerful demons.

Qin Sang's mind raced as he quickly pondered how to fool them.

At this moment, Fairy Caiyi spoke calmly, "I found that spot in Flower Fairy Lake. Last time, I searched for a long time before locating it. You don't have to worry; it's not at the bottom of the lake, so the toxins aren't as potent. For those among you who lack detoxification techniques, take this pill, refined from the venom gland of a thousand-year viper. It will protect you from potent toxins for one hour."

As Fairy Caiyi spoke, she took out a jade bottle containing several strange, multi-colored pills.

Gu Heng and Fairy Caiyi did not take the pills, nor did another somber man with Guiche bloodline.

Yuan Zhu, also from the Flood Dragon clan like Gu Heng, unceremoniously requested and took a pill.

Fairy Caiyi handed the jade bottle to Qin Sang.

Having just navigated a crisis, Qin Sang felt a wave of relief and repeatedly waved his hand to decline.

He secretly felt fortunate that he had the Fat Silkworm; otherwise, disguised as a descendant of the Azure Dove clan, he wouldn't even be able to withstand mere poisonous mist, and his disguise would have been exposed on the spot.

Seeing that detoxification relied on pills, Qin Sang sighed inwardly.

If it had been a magical artifact or similar detoxification item, he could have easily incapacitated one of them if he had made a move. Unfortunately, the Blood Filth Divine Light was useless here.

After the demons took the pills, Gu Heng gave a command, and they all activated their escape techniques, quietly flying towards Flower Fairy Lake.

Qin Sang intentionally fell behind, but the demons moved in an orderly fashion, staying close to each other, leaving no opportunity for him to escape. He could only wait until they entered Flower Fairy Lake to look for a chance.

Yuan Zhu was very talkative. Flying alongside Qin Sang, he chattered incessantly, fantasizing about the rewards he would receive after performing a great service and how carefree his life would be once he passed his shapeshifting tribulation.

Fearing exposure, Qin Sang dared not speak, only nodding meekly.

Fortunately, they were not far from Flower Fairy Lake and soon arrived at one of its entrances.

It was an ancient wooden bridge, similar to the other entrance, with countless petals dancing in the air—a dreamlike scenery that concealed deadly poison.

Upon seeing the wooden bridge, Gu Heng waved his hand decisively.

The demons halted.

Gu Heng's figure flickered and vanished into thin air. He concealed himself in the shadows, briefly surveyed the area near Flower Fairy Lake, then reappeared and motioned for the other demons to approach.

This wasn't Qin Sang's first visit to Flower Fairy Lake, but last time, due to Cui Ji's matter, he was delayed and couldn't go inside to see it.

Flower Fairy Lake was one of the three terrifying poisonous lands, yet it was also widely considered the most beautiful sight within the Seven Kill Hall.

As if bathed in brilliant sunlight, Flower Fairy Lake was bright and vibrant inside.

Thick poisonous algae, even at their shortest, were still human-height, while taller ones resembled ancient wooded forests. They clustered together in vast swathes, emitting faint green phosphorescence, like magnificent seas of light.

Some of the poisonous algae were still budding, but most had already bloomed.

Bud-like seeds drifted lightly, rustling in the unknown breeze, transforming into a swirling, surging ocean of flowers.

From outside the wooden bridge, what was visible was clearly a green luminescence.

However, stepping onto the bridge revealed a sky-blue light, so transparent it seemed like daylight filtered through water.

For a moment, they imagined themselves at the bottom of the sea, and the flying petals were beautiful jellyfish swimming in the ocean.

A strong, unusual fragrance filled their nostrils.

Qin Sang immediately ordered the Fat Silkworm to deploy its detoxification armor. The fragrance came from the pollen of the poisonous algae, which was also the source of the potent toxins; even spiritual power and divine sense could be corroded by it.

Some other demonic beasts, slightly slower in their reactions, suddenly began to cough violently. They quickly activated the power of the pills they had taken, and their symptoms eased, though expressions of lingering fear remained on their faces.

"It's difficult to conceal one's tracks in Flower Fairy Lake," Gu Heng said coldly. "Stay vigilant. If you encounter any cultivators, eliminate them directly."

The demons assented, snapping out of their enchantment with the beautiful scenery and surveying their surroundings.

The wooden bridge was enveloped by countless poisonous algae. As far as the eye could see, the dense algae stretched deep into Flower Fairy Lake, with no end in sight.

Flower Fairy Lake was not flat; mountain ranges rose within it. This area was unusually bright, yet for some reason, visibility was limited, and the deeper parts appeared as a scene of darkness.

Poisonous swamps were everywhere, but the danger wasn't just hidden beneath them.

Among the sea of flowers in the air, ripples sometimes flashed, almost imperceptible to the naked eye. These were signs of ancient restrictions, and no one wanted to test their power.

Fairy Caiyi knew the path well and led the way.

The wooden bridge was long, extending deep into Flower Fairy Lake.

They soon reached the end of the wooden bridge.

Fairy Caiyi cautioned the demons, then lightly rose into the air, flying very low, choosing to weave among the poisonous algae. The other demons emulated her, flying close to the ground.

Qin Sang mingled among the demons, his gaze restless, constantly glancing around and contemplating a way to escape.

He considered a poisonous scheme: "driving the tiger to devour the wolf."

Perhaps he could continue to blend in with the demons, leading them to that Nascent Soul cultivator on the desolate plains, and then, when they turned on each other, seize the opportunity to get away.

After a brief thought, Qin Sang abandoned this idea.

He could be exposed at any moment; the longer he interacted with these demonic beasts, the greater the risk. It was too dangerous; he might be besieged before he even had a chance to leave the Seven Kill Hall.

As Qin Sang's thoughts wandered, the demons, moving through the jungle-like poisonous algae, gradually ventured deeper into Flower Fairy Lake.
