Chapter 1379: Tianyue Senior

The Mortal Realm

"A traitor from the Xuan Tian Palace. I wonder what exactly this person did..."

The black-robed swordsman turned to look at Senior Feng. "Fellow Daoist Feng, you have a wide network and are well-informed. Have you heard any rumors?"

"No."

Senior Feng shook his head. "How could the Xuan Tian Palace widely publicize such a scandal, with a Nascent Soul cultivator defecting? Besides, the Boundless Sea separates us. Even if rumors did reach us, who knows what year or month it would be, or how distorted they would become." The white-robed scholar echoed, "Fellow Daoist Feng makes a good point! What this person did isn't important; what matters is what secrets they possess. According to the demon rat, the Xuan Tian Palace's experts relentlessly pursued him into the demon realm, supposedly almost alerting the Great Sage Sky Roc before reluctantly withdrawing. The traitor might be carrying a priceless treasure from the Xuan Tian Palace, but the demon rat didn't specify what it was. Perhaps it didn't know the full story, or it was hiding something."

The female cultivator with the phoenix coronet raised an eyebrow, radiating charm. "Something the Xuan Tian Palace considers a priceless treasure..." The black-robed swordsman then looked at Senior Feng. "The demon rat has been slain, but our opponents still outnumber us. Should we invite some assistance?"

Senior Feng pondered for a moment. "We recently contacted fellow Daoists from the Star Sand Islands. The demon race appears aggressive, but they haven't made any substantial moves. Bi Fang seems unwilling to start a war; this is just a bluff to conceal their true intentions. There's no need for us to make a big fuss or invite too many people, to avoid leaking information and causing more trouble." After a pause, Senior Feng added, "I've already instructed someone to spread word and invite that mysterious fellow Daoist. Let's wait and see."

The white-robed scholar asked curiously, "Is this person from the Star Sand Islands? A mid-stage Nascent Soul cultivator, skilled in lightning evasion techniques—it's impossible for them to be unknown!" Senior Feng shook his head. "I've inquired, but there's no such person!"

Just then, a streak of light suddenly flew into the hall. Senior Feng caught the light, read it, and chuckled, "Speak of the devil, and he appears! I'll go back and meet him first. You all continue your investigation."

### Wind Yang Mountain

Qin Sang sat cross-legged in his quiet chamber, suddenly feeling something and opening his eyes. Immediately after, the chamber's restrictions were triggered. Chu Huanqiang's voice reported from outside, "Senior Mingyue, Master has returned to the mountain and is waiting for you in the main hall."

Qin Sang stepped out of his quiet chamber, followed Chu Huanqiang up to the mountain peak, and met Senior Feng. Being old monsters, they exchanged warm greetings. Qin Sang thanked Senior Feng for helping him scare away Bi Fang, and Senior Feng, sharing the same enmity, quickly became as familiar as an old friend.

"Forgive my presumption, Fellow Daoist Mingyue, but may I ask where your celestial homeland is?" Senior Feng didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point, asking about Qin Sang's origins. "Given your cultivation and divine abilities, you are a rarity in the entire North Sea. I, being ignorant, have never heard of you."

Qin Sang hesitated for a moment, then decided to tell the truth, stating calmly, "This humble Daoist comes from the Outer Regions." If he were only in the early Nascent Soul stage, it might be plausible to claim he had cultivated in isolation and had a lucky breakthrough, thus remaining unknown. However, a cultivator who only secluded himself for arduous training could not possibly achieve mid-stage Nascent Soul cultivation. If Senior Feng were to investigate and find no information about him in the cultivation world, he would certainly become suspicious. A lie wouldn't hold up for long. Furthermore, Qin Sang wasn't afraid of revealing his origins; it wasn't crucial.

"The Outer Regions?" Senior Feng paused, thought for a moment, then suddenly remembered something and exclaimed, "Fellow Daoist, are you from the North Star Realm?" Qin Sang smiled faintly. "Fellow Daoist Feng is indeed knowledgeable and guessed correctly. Are there other fellow Daoists who have traversed the storms from the North Star Realm?" Cultivators from the North Star Realm knew about the Three North Sea Realms. This indicated that there must have been communication between the two regions in the past. There were certainly legends about the North Star Realm within the Three North Sea Realms. It was normal for Senior Feng to know about the North Star Realm.

Qin Sang probed indirectly. Unexpectedly, Senior Feng shook his head repeatedly. "Legend has it that several millennia ago, Celestial Master Tianyue, the foremost expert of the North Star Realm, crossed the sea alone. With a single sword, he defeated all the powerful cultivators of the North Sea and warned the cultivators of the Three North Sea Realms not to step even half a step into the North Star Realm. Communication between the two regions ceased from then on. Fellow Daoist Mingyue is the first cultivator from the North Star Realm I have ever encountered in my life!"

As he spoke, Senior Feng looked at Qin Sang with surprise, as if observing something rare. His expression did not seem feigned. Qin Sang thought to himself, *It seems Chen Yan and her companions haven't appeared at Wind Yang Mountain. Perhaps they deliberately concealed their tracks.*

Celestial Master Tianyue. Qin Sang's mind shifted, and he recalled the origins of this person. This person was the last Grand Cultivator of the North Star Realm before Old Devil Ye! It is said that Celestial Master Tianyue was a loose cultivator, very low-key throughout his life, with no descendants, and he suddenly disappeared without a trace. Therefore, there were few rumors about him; Qin Sang only learned of this person when he overheard other Nascent Soul cultivators discussing him.

"A single person, a single sword, defeating all the experts of the North Sea..." Qin Sang was filled with longing. He never imagined that Celestial Master Tianyue, whom only a few people remembered in the North Star Realm, would have left such a formidable reputation in another domain. When Senior Feng spoke of Celestial Master Tianyue just now, his expression was solemn, clearly showing great reverence for him.

*No wonder there are so many experts in the North Sea, yet only Master Chen Yan has been to the North Star Realm. It seems someone has been silently guarding it.* Qin Sang felt a surge of respect. Unfortunately, he knew too little about Celestial Master Tianyue's deeds. It is said that this person originated from the desert, was a prodigy of immense talent, and possessed a detached temperament, like a carefree cloud or a wild crane, roaming freely everywhere. Celestial Master Tianyue never publicized his achievement of becoming a Grand Cultivator. It was only after an accidental encounter with other fellow Daoists that his accomplishment became known and spread, but he then vanished again.

There were various theories regarding Celestial Master Tianyue's whereabouts. Some said he perished in a certain secret realm. Many ancient secret realms in the North Star Realm were fraught with danger, and even Grand Cultivators dared not be careless. Others suggested that Celestial Master Tianyue might have quietly broken through to the Soul Transformation stage, crossed the storm belt, and was now roaming the four directions. Given his temperament, this was highly probable.

Qin Sang gathered his thoughts, feeling a bit curious. So much time had passed. If Celestial Master Tianyue hadn't advanced to Soul Transformation, he would surely have perished. Besides Master Chen Yan, had no one else wanted to go and see?

Senior Feng continued, "Back then, Senior Tianyue stood his sword at the Horn of Heaven and departed gracefully. From then on, no one dared to take another step forward, including the Xuan Tian Palace. Later, the demon race grew increasingly powerful, seizing most of the Star Sand Islands, and the Horn of Heaven also fell into their hands. Without the path of the Horn of Heaven, even if we wished to go to the North Star Realm, we would be powerless. I once had this thought, but after one attempt, I encountered incredibly chaotic storm turbulence and nearly lost my way, so I had to turn back. Later generations have been unworthy; we don't even know if the sword Senior Tianyue left behind is still there..." Senior Feng gave a bitter smile.

The Horn of Heaven, located in the northern part of the Star Sea Islands, is a corner of the barrier that juts out towards the storm belt. It is said that there is a relatively safe path here to reach the North Star Realm, but it is only comparatively safe, not absolutely so, and it still demands extremely high cultivation from those who attempt it.
