The Main Hall was the most esteemed seating, reserved exclusively for King Realms. Even the Great Realm Kings of Upper Star Realms were not qualified to enter.
The Snow Song disciples were all stunned. Yet, their initial shock quickly subsided, replaced by a feeling that this was only natural.
Yun Che was no longer just an ordinary Snow Song disciple. The brilliance he had displayed during the Conferred God Battle had profoundly shaken the entire God Realm, causing God Emperors and even the Dragon Monarch to vie for his allegiance.
For a Yun Che of his stature, any preferential treatment from the Moon God Realm, no matter how extravagant, would not be considered excessive.
To everyone's surprise, Yun Che promptly shook his head and politely declined. "Thank you for your kind intentions, Moon God Emperor and both of you," he said apologetically. "As a disciple of the Snow Song Realm, I should remain seated with my sect."
The two Moon Guards exchanged surprised glances but did not press the matter. "In that case, we shall respect Young Master Yun's wishes," one said. "Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any requests."
"Please!"
The change in the Moon Guards' demeanor and their respectful words filled the Snow Song disciples with pride. As they watched Yun Che walk to Mu Bingyun's side, they couldn't help but reflect on how unremarkable he had been just three years ago when he first entered the sect. Now, his stature had surpassed all his peers, and indeed, the entire Snow Song Realm.
He alone had become the greatest glory of the Snow Song Realm.
"Brother Yun, over here!"
As they entered, they immediately heard Huo Poyun's joyful shout.
The Blazing Heaven Realm was already seated, with only Huo Rulie, Yan Juehai, and Huo Poyun at their main table. Following the Conferred God Battle, and due to Yun Che's mastery of both Golden Crow and Phoenix divine powers, the relationship between the Snow Song and Blazing Heaven Realms had subtly changed.
Yun Che, without hesitation, walked forward with Mu Bingyun and Mu Huanzhi to join them at the main table. A quick glance revealed that the outer seating area was already teeming with millions of guests.
After exchanging greetings, Huo Poyun eagerly asked, "Brother Yun, what kind of place is the Star God Realm? Is it also like a fantasy, similar to the Moon God Realm?"
Yun Che nodded. "The Moon God Realm is bathed in moonlight, while the Star God Realm is blanketed by countless stars. Now that you mention it, they both do have a rather dream-like quality."
"So, have you learned the Star God Shattered Shadow?"
"Yes, I've made some progress."
"Was it really taught by the Heavenly Slaughter Star God herself? What does she look like? Legend says she's terrifying. You were there, right? I hope you're okay."
"The Heavenly Slaughter Star God isn't as terrifying as the rumors suggest."
"But I heard that in the second year after she inherited her divine power, the Heavenly Slaughter Star God massacred tens of thousands in one of the Moon God Realm's star regions, and then..."
"Cough, cough," Huo Rulie interjected, cutting off Huo Poyun in a low voice. "Do not speak carelessly of the grievances between King Realms. We are in the Moon God Realm."
"Understood," Huo Poyun mumbled, falling silent.
Listening to Yun Che and Huo Poyun's exchange, Mu Bingyun's lips subtly curved. No one knew, nor would anyone believe, the profound connection between the Heavenly Slaughter Star God and Yun Che. Even less would they believe that Yun Che, while still a teenage boy in the lower realm, had spent day and night alongside that terrifying Star God, whose name alone struck fear throughout the God Realm.
"Yun Che," Yan Juehai began, his voice low and solemn, "there is something I have never understood."
"While the 'Goddess' is unparalleled in beauty, becoming close to her would undoubtedly draw immense envy. So, perhaps your refusal of the Brahma Monarch God Realm was the right decision. But why did you reject the Dragon Monarch and the Eternal Heaven God Emperor?"
"I have my own plans," Yun Che replied, his tone equally solemn.
Because of the Phoenix flame, Yan Juehai had subtly grown closer to Yun Che. He looked at him and said, "While I don't know your plans, you must never underestimate the ripple effect you created during the Conferred God Battle, nor what the favor of these God Emperors truly signifies. You might not realize it, but in the entire history of the God Realm, no young person has ever shone with such dazzling brilliance as you."
Yan Juehai's words were undeniably grand, yet no one registered surprise, for they all knew it to be an indisputable truth.
"To speak frankly, the Yun Che of today is simply beyond what the Snow Song Realm can contain. Yun Che, in the eyes of many, you are like an unowned, yet unprecedentedly dazzling jewel. You must understand what that will attract. The Snow Song Realm cannot protect you, and you certainly cannot protect yourself. What you need most now is a sufficiently powerful patron, or a clear allegiance."
Yan Juehai's words were strikingly similar to some of Jasmine's past warnings.
Huo Rulie slowly nodded in agreement. "Becoming a direct disciple of the Eternal Heaven God Emperor, or an adopted son of the Dragon Monarch, are both excellent choices for you."
None of the Snow Song disciples uttered a word of protest. It was a case of "possessing a treasure makes one a target," and Yun Che's very existence was now a colossal "crime" that had sent shockwaves through the entire God Realm.
Yun Che nodded, calmly replying, "Thank you for your guidance, Sect Masters. I will now enter the Eternal Heaven Divine Realm. After I emerge from the Eternal Heaven Pearl, I will make further plans."
"Hmm." With that, Huo Rulie and Yan Juehai said no more.
Huo Rulie sighed deeply, looking at Yun Che and then at Huo Poyun. Though the two were close in age, Huo Poyun's devastating defeat on the Conferred God Stage had nearly crushed his spirit and left him despondent. Yun Che, on the other hand, carried the immense burden of his boundless glory with the calmness of an ancient monk.
Regardless of their strength, the disparity in their mental fortitude was truly vast.
The guests continued to arrive, filling the vast outer seating area with visitors from all the Middle and Lower Star Realms. Among them, the most prominent were undoubtedly the Snow Song and Blazing Heaven Realms.
Thanks to Yun Che, no one in the Eastern Divine Region was unaware of the "Snow Song Realm."
Because of Huo Poyun, and even more so because of Yun Che, the Blazing Heaven Realm's reputation soared. The Golden Crow Flame and Phoenix Flame, in particular, had reignited the prestige of divine flames on the Conferred God Stage, making it so that the Vermillion Bird Flame, supposedly the foremost of the three divine flames, was scarcely remembered.
The Snow Song Realm and the Blazing Heaven Realm were also the only two Middle Star Realms to have disciples enter the Conferred God Battle. Yun Che, in particular, became the pride of all young profound practitioners from the Middle and Lower Star Realms, for he had utterly shattered the Upper Star Realms' "monopoly" on the Conferred God Battle, bringing an unprecedented feeling of vindication.
Countless gazes, some subtle, some fervent, were cast towards the Snow Song and Blazing Heaven Realms, filled with envy, awe, amazement, and of course, jealousy. Most of these gazes, without a doubt, landed on Yun Che.
"The Flying Star Realm arrives!"
"The Divine Martial Realm arrives!"
"The Primal Spirit Great World arrives!"
"The Glazed Light Realm arrives!"
Only King Realms and Upper Star Realms had the privilege of being announced by the Moon Guards. Amidst the booming announcements of the Moon Guards, the Glazed Light Realm contingent rapidly approached, a subtle blue light shimmering wherever they passed.
Leading the group was naturally the Glazed Light Realm King, Shui Qianheng. Behind him, Yun Che immediately spotted Shui Yingyue, Shui Yinghen, and Shui Meiyin, who was dressed in a black gown, her black eyes sparkling with an alluring glint.
Almost the instant Yun Che saw them, Shui Meiyin's eyes met his with unerring precision. Her brows curved as she sweetly called out, "Brother Yun Che!"
That delicate cry instantly sent a wave of pleasant numbness through the bones of everyone who heard it.
Shui Qianheng's gaze shifted, and he immediately strode purposefully towards Yun Che.
Shui Qianheng's status was extraordinary: one of the three titans among the Upper Star Realms, a transcendent being whom Middle and Lower Star Realms weren't even qualified to address. Wherever he passed, seated profound practitioners hastily rose to pay their respects, yet he paid them no mind. With a few spatial-compressing strides, he arrived before Yun Che. Before Yun Che could even react, Shui Qianheng's large hand clapped him on the shoulder. "Hahahaha, my esteemed son-in-law," he boomed, "so you're already here! I've been searching all over the Eternal Heaven Realm for you."
Yun Che was about to perform a junior's bow when his ears buzzed from Shui Qianheng's boisterous laughter. The ensuing address nearly made Yun Che spit out water onto Shui Qianheng's face.
"Esteemed... son-in-law??"
Yan Juehai, Mu Huanzhi, and the others who had risen in unison, all wore bewildered expressions.
"Uh... Senior Shui," Yun Che managed to stammer out a greeting.
Shui Qianheng's brow twitched with dissatisfaction. "Hey! What's with this 'Senior Shui'? So formal! 'Father-in-law' will do."
Yun Che was speechless.
Shui Meiyin's face flushed, and she timidly, shyly said, "Daddy, I haven't even married Brother Yun Che yet."
Shui Qianheng waved a dismissive hand. "It's going to happen sooner or later anyway; what difference does it make if you call me that now or later? I even sacrificed the Primordial Divine Water; do you think I wouldn't acknowledge such an excellent son-in-law?"
Shui Qianheng emphasized the words "Primordial Divine Water" quite heavily, as if to ensure everyone nearby heard.
Three prominent black lines appeared on the foreheads of the Snow Song disciples. They distinctly recalled the day Shui Qianheng was so enraged by Shui Meiyin's actions that he nearly slapped Yun Che to death. This change was simply too drastic!
Furthermore, what did that Primordial Divine Water have to do with Shui Qianheng? It was Shui Meiyin, whose heart was set on Yun Che, who had stolen it regardless of the consequences, and then Shui Yinghen, trembling with fear, had secretly delivered it!
If Shui Qianheng had discovered it at the time... well, Shui Meiyin wouldn't have been harmed even for such a grave error, but Shui Yinghen would have been lucky if he only got his legs broken.
Shui Yinghen's teeth chattered and his mouth twitched as he whispered to Shui Yingyue, "Has our royal father always been this shameless?"
Shui Yingyue nodded.
To become Shui Qianheng's son-in-law was a fantasy others wouldn't dare to dream of in eight hundred lifetimes. Yet now, it was clear to everyone that Shui Qianheng was shamelessly and actively ingratiating himself with Yun Che. Judging by his current demeanor, he wouldn't even bat an eye if Yun Che wanted both his daughters, not just his most beloved youngest one; he might even burst into joyful laughter.
For Yun Che was the "Son of the Heavenly Way," whom even the Brahma Heaven God Emperor coveted as a son-in-law.
Unable to agree or disagree, Yun Che could only offer a dry laugh.
"My esteemed son-in-law, once this wedding ceremony concludes, it will be time to prepare for entry into the Eternal Heaven Pearl," Shui Qianheng declared, his voice quite loud, uncaring if others overheard. "Although everyone will have their own exclusive pocket world once inside, it's possible to enter someone else's world if they permit it. You and Meiyin must look after and support each other in there. You'll certainly grow much faster that way, and your feelings will deepen as well."
"And when you both emerge from the Eternal Heaven Divine Realm in three years, this King will immediately finalize your marriage! The grander the occasion, the better, hahahaha!"
"Hehe, Daddy, really," Shui Meiyin giggled, her slender brows curving like crescent moons.
"Ah, hahaha," Yun Che continued to laugh drily.
Shui Yinghen spread his fingers wide and firmly covered his face.
"Today is a grand occasion for the Moon God Realm, so I'll keep it brief," Shui Qianheng said. "Tomorrow, my son-in-law and I shall have a good drink together, hahahaha!"
With another hearty laugh, Shui Qianheng finally released Yun Che and strode away.
"Brother Yun Che," Shui Meiyin softly called out, waving a small hand at him and playfully sticking out her tongue before following behind Shui Qianheng.
Shui Yinghen, seemingly too embarrassed to face anyone, fled without even greeting Yun Che.
"Phew," Yun Che exhaled. Just as he settled into his seat, a telepathic message from Shui Qianheng suddenly echoed in his ear:
"Before you enter the Eternal Heaven Pearl, you must remain in the Eternal Heaven God Realm; do not go anywhere else. I will also stay in the Eternal Heaven God Realm until you and Meiyin have entered the Pearl. There will certainly be those who do not wish for you to enter the Eternal Heaven Pearl. Be extremely careful, especially of the Brahma Monarch Goddess!"
Yun Che turned his head to look in Shui Qianheng's direction, only to find that he had already departed and was out of sight.
