Chapter 2335: True Immortals Descend Return

Return to Home Page

Xue Ran, Hei Lin, and Mo Jianli each received a crystal core. After inspecting them and finding no issues, they naturally put them away with great delight.

"Now that the payment has been settled, our transaction can be considered a success for all parties. However, I wonder when you all intend to depart from this realm. This realm is, after all, rather small and cannot accommodate too many Great Ascension cultivators like yourselves and us," the Asura Spider Matriarch asked, her eyes glinting slightly.

"Fellow Daoist Luo, please rest assured," Han Li said nonchalantly, smiling faintly. "We will depart on our own in a few days at most. However, the resources of this Lesser Asura Realm are quite distinct from those of our Spirit Realm, and we intend to gather a bit more. Surely, you won't obstruct us in this, will you?"

"She chuckled. "If it's merely about collecting resources, our clan will certainly not interfere in the slightest. However, apart from our clan, there are two or three troublesome entities in this realm, so I advise you not to be too careless," the woman said meaningfully, smiling alluringly.

"Oh? One of those Fellow Daoist mentioned, could it be that Che Qizi?" Upon hearing this, Mo Jianli's expression shifted.

"Fellow Daoist Mo, you know of this fierce beast's existence? Have you already encountered it?" The woman was slightly startled and blurted out the question.

"Indeed, I encountered it once. That fiend truly lives up to its reputation as a legendary ancient fierce beast; this old man almost perished at its hands." After his expression flickered a few times, Mo Jianli sighed and said.

"This realm contains such a fierce beast? Fellow Daoist Luo, could you inform me of its lair's location?" Upon hearing the conversation between the woman and Mo Jianli, Xue Ran's face lit up, and with a hint of excitement, he hastily interjected.

"Che Qizi's lair, I do know of it, however..." The Asura Spider Matriarch's eyes flickered, and she revealed a pensive expression.

"Rest assured, my brother and I won't ask for this information for nothing. As long as Fellow Daoist Luo tells us, we will certainly show our profound gratitude." Seeing the woman's expression, Xue Ran immediately realized his demeanor was somewhat inappropriate. He quickly suppressed his excitement and spoke calmly.

Then, this Great Ascension cultivator from an exotic race flipped his palm and produced a small leather pouch. With a flick, he tossed it over.

The woman gestured with her delicate hand and drew the pouch to herself. After sweeping her divine sense through it, she showed a hint of surprise. Then, raising her head, she gave Xue Ran a deep look and slowly spoke.

"I have a map here. It indicates the location of Che Qizi's lair. Fellow Daoist may take a look."

No sooner had she spoken, the woman raised her hand, and a white jade slip flew out from her sleeve.

Xue Ran swept his sleeve, drawing the jade slip towards him. He immediately placed it against his forehead, a solemn expression appearing on his face.

Beside him, Hei Lin's expression was also somewhat unusual. His gaze towards the jade slip held a faint hint of eagerness.

At this moment, the young woman in the blood-red dress suddenly smiled towards Han Li and said:

"You fellow Daoists are all renowned figures in the outside world. Presumably, you've brought a considerable number of rare treasures with you. How about this: Over the years, our clan has also collected resources not found in the outside world. Why don't you exchange some with our clan first, and then go search for materials on your own? This way, it could save you a lot of time."

"Fellow Daoist Ying, do you mean to hold a small, temporary trade fair here?" Han Li was momentarily stunned but immediately smiled.

"Precisely," the young woman said, her expression unwavering. "To be honest, our clan likely possesses at least some of all the resources and materials found in this realm. As long as you can pay a sufficient price, our clan will certainly satisfy you."

The Asura Spider Matriarch heard the young woman's words and did not speak to stop her, tacitly assenting to the suggestion.

Mo Jianli and the others were greatly moved by these words.

Given the remaining time they had in this Lesser Asura Realm, it was indeed quite unlikely they could collect a sufficient quantity of materials on their own. If they could exchange some from the Asura clan, it would not be a bad method.

"Alright, I have some items on me. I'll exchange some with your esteemed clan." After a moment of thought, Mo Jianli was the first to agree.

"My brother and I also possess some valuables. We'll exchange some as well." Xue Ran and Hei Lin exchanged a few words via sound transmission, and similarly agreed.

"Since all of you fellow Daoists are participating, I, Han, will naturally not be an exception," Han Li stated, his expression unchanged.

For something so advantageous and without drawbacks, he naturally had no reason not to participate.

"Excellent! Let's find another location nearby, and we can begin the official trade," the young woman in the blood-red dress smiled enchantingly, her demeanor utterly captivating.

Xue Ran and the others immediately agreed. Han Li also nodded, but his gaze subtly swept towards the cold pool.

This action was extremely subtle and went unnoticed by the others.

Several hours later, above a small island not far from the one with the cold pool, the Asura Spider clan, led by the woman and the young woman in the blood-red dress, gradually departed, riding the same black giant eagle with satisfied expressions.

Above the small island, only Han Li and the three other foreign Great Ascension cultivators remained, standing silently.

During the exchange, Han Li, Mo Jianli, Xue Ran, and Hei Lin all reaped great rewards. They acquired many rare resources unique to the Asura Realm.

Although everyone paid a significant price, overall, it was a mutually beneficial outcome.

"Brother Han," Xue Ran suddenly spoke, watching the departing Asura Spider clansmen, "are we truly letting these Asura Spiders depart like this? If we were to change our minds now, it wouldn't be too late."

"Why change our minds?" Han Li replied, his expression unchanged. "If this clan were truly so easy to subdue, why would we have bothered making a transaction with them? We would have simply eliminated them directly in their stronghold earlier."

"Previously, we were unaware that these Asura Spiders possessed such abundant wealth. The recent exchange might have only involved a tenth or two of their total reserves. More importantly, aren't you tempted by that Spatial Stone, Fellow Daoist? The spatial laws contained within that item are so potent that even I, Xue, have only seen its like once in my life. If we could obtain this item, and take turns safeguarding it for a period, we might even be able to comprehend and control true spatial laws." Xue Ran raised an eyebrow, his words laced with boundless temptation.

Beside him, Mo Jianli's expression also showed a hint of abnormality upon hearing these words.

"Heh heh, what a pity!" Han Li chuckled and said noncommittally. "I, Han, am not interested in spatial power, so I have no intention of taking any further risks. If you two fellow Daoists are truly interested in this item, you could certainly discuss it with the Asura Spider clan. Perhaps if you offer a sufficiently high price, they might directly exchange it with you two. But I won't get involved in that!"

Upon hearing this, Xue Ran's expression flickered slightly, but he immediately said, stifling a yawn:

"Fellow Daoist, you jest! Considering how much these Asura Spiders value this item, I'm afraid that even if my brother and I emptied our entire fortunes, they would not have the slightest intention of exchanging it. Since Brother Han is unwilling to take action, then consider what I, Xue, said earlier as unsaid. My brother and I have other matters to attend to. We shall part ways with you two fellow Daoists here."

As he spoke, this Great Ascension cultivator from an exotic race cupped his fists towards Han Li and Mo Jianli in turn.

Seeing this, Hei Lin, who was nearby, also cupped his hand in greeting.

"May you two fellow Daoists have a good journey!" Han Li chuckled softly and returned the courtesy.

Mo Jianli also offered a few words of caution, a smile on his face.

Then, Xue Ran and Hei Lin's escape lights flared simultaneously. They transformed into two streaks of rainbow light, piercing the sky as they departed. In the blink of an eye, they vanished without a trace on the horizon.

"Brother Han, what are your plans next? Do you still intend to search for rare materials?" Mo Jianli waited until the distant escape light had truly vanished before asking Han Li with a smile.

"That is indeed my intention," Han Li smiled faintly and counter-asked. "There are still a few days before we leave this realm. I'll see if I can find any more opportunities. What are your plans, Brother Mo?"

"That I, Mo, was able to obtain three crystal cores on this trip is already extremely fortunate," Mo Jianli said, his expression solemn. "Therefore, I do not intend to take any further risks. Next, I will find a hidden place to meditate and rest, quietly awaiting the day of departure. Although Fellow Daoist Han's divine abilities are astonishing, you must also be wary of a counterattack from the Asura Spider clan in the coming days."

"Brother Han has everything well in hand, so I can rest assured," Mo Jianli's expression relaxed, and a smile returned to his face as he bid farewell to Han Li. "Without further ado, I, Mo, will take my leave first. In a few days, we shall meet again in the Spirit Realm."

Han Li did not try to keep him. After speaking a few words of farewell, he watched Mo Jianli raise his hand, release a small boat, and with a sway, step onto it. The boat then transformed into a dazzling rainbow, piercing the sky as it departed.

Han Li stood silently in place for a while before withdrawing his gaze from the distance. He then turned his head and glanced at the large island where the cold pool had been. A strange expression suddenly appeared on his face.

He shook his sleeve, and immediately transformed into a ball of green light, soaring into the sky. He shot directly towards the large island.

In the time it takes for a meal, Han Li reappeared above the original valley.

He hovered in the void and cast a faint glance towards the cold pool below.

He noticed that the chill in the entire valley seemed somewhat weaker than before.

However, the space around the cold pool, due to the removal of the nearby magical formation, was still frozen into a large mass of crystalline profound ice, again sealing the entire entrance to the cold pool within it.

Han Li silently gazed at the massive ice block below for a moment. Then, he abruptly opened his mouth, and a ball of silver flames shot forth. After a flicker, it transformed into a silver firebird.

Han Li muttered incantations, and with a single hand gesture, pointed into the void at the silver firebird.

Instantly, with a "poof" sound, the silver firebird raised its head and let out a cry. After the silver plumes on its body ignited, its size rapidly expanded.

In an instant, the silver firebird grew to several tens of feet in size. Raging silver flames swirled around its body. However, its demeanor was clearly somewhat listless.

Evidently, after its previous battle with the purple peacock summoned by that ancient lamp, its energy reserves were considerably depleted.
