Almost simultaneously, Han Li found himself in a strange, gray space. The only distinct feature was a colossal, entirely black gate looming not far away, its surface adorned with dense golden and silver runes, split into two sections.

Flickering on and off, they appeared extraordinarily mysterious.

This gate was strikingly identical to the giant gate he had previously seen in the screen painting.

It was as if he had been abruptly pulled into the painting on the screen.

“This truly is a place resembling a Sumeru Cave Heaven,” Han Li murmured after a quick glance around. His gaze settled on the giant gate, a peculiar expression crossing his face.

Suddenly, with a flip of his hand and a flash of spiritual light, a stack of colorful formation plates appeared in his grasp.

With his other hand, he swiftly formed a spell incantation, and under his activation, the formation plates shot out one after another.

They paused momentarily around him, transforming into spheres of light that plummeted straight down. The instant they touched the ground, they vanished without a trace.

A short while later, currents of milky white mist surged forth from where the formation plates had disappeared.

Thick and unyielding, the mist formed an extremely dense wall, completely shrouding both Han Li and the gate ahead.

On the other side of the mist wall, Han Li’s expression relaxed slightly. With a flick of his sleeve, a ball of green light encapsulating an object flew out, hovered briefly, and then suspended itself before him.

It was none other than the Void Sky Cauldron!

He raised a hand and gently pointed at the cauldron.

Its lid flew open on its own, and with a flash of green light from within, a faint white illusory figure shot out.

In mid-air, a girl of six or seven years old appeared, dressed in a white skirt, with braided pigtails and a round, incredibly cute face.

It was Qu'er, the young maid!

“Greetings, Young Master!” The girl curtsied to Han Li, a cheerful smile on her face.

“Well done! To be able to conceal your presence so completely within the cauldron, without even a trace of your aura, even I couldn’t sense you. Those two naturally wouldn’t have been able to discover you either,” Han Li praised, a look of satisfaction on his face.

“That’s all thanks to the treasures and talismans bestowed by Young Master,” the girl in white said with a giggle. “Otherwise, with Qu’er’s meager abilities, how could I have deceived two peak Void Refinement stage experts?”

As she finished speaking, a flash of light emanated from her, and a large piece of strange black gauze flew out from her person. At the same time, with a grasp in the air, a hazy purple Grand Unity Purification Talisman suddenly appeared.

Qu'er held the two items in her hands, appearing ready to return them to Han Li.

“There’s no need to return them to me,” Han Li said, waving a hand. “You are already adept at escape techniques and concealment abilities. These two treasures will exhibit even more astonishing power in your hands. Besides, even if I were to use these items myself, I might not be able to deceive those two individuals at such close range. I also have other spare tools of the same kind. Just keep them for your protection.”

“Since Young Master says so, then this humble maid will keep them,” Qu'er said, her face lighting up with a smile. She patted the black gauze and the talisman onto her body, and they merged into her form, once again disappearing from sight.

Seeing this, Han Li smiled faintly, then his expression grew serious as he asked,

“When I was collecting the treasures from the golden cauldron earlier, I intentionally made the spiritual light dazzling to take the opportunity to send you into the Void Sky Cauldron.

The time until I reopened the cauldron was very short. Did you manage to take anything?”

“Hehe, Qu’er is very quick, Master, look!” The girl chuckled proudly at his words, then flipped her small hand, and a gleaming golden pill appeared.

“A Void Spirit Pill! Well done!” Although Han Li had vaguely anticipated this, he was still overjoyed upon seeing the pill.

He raised a hand and, with a gesture, levitated the golden pill from the girl’s hand. He examined it carefully for a moment, finally confirming it was authentic.

It was absolutely identical to the two spirit pills he had seen earlier.

Although Han Li did not yet know the specific effects of this pill, the fact that even Integration stage experts like Cai Liuying and Duan Tianren were so determined to obtain it, unwilling to yield to each other, was enough to demonstrate its rarity.

“Because Master previously instructed me not to touch any magic tool type treasures, and to specifically look for items like medicine bottles and boxes. So, I only had time to pour out this one pill from the bottle. Master also instructed that if there were more than two pills, I could take one. Qu’er followed the instructions completely. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have wanted to leave the other two either.” The girl’s plump lips pouted, a hint of regret on her face.

Han Li burst into laughter upon hearing this.

“You’re a bit greedy, aren’t you?” he chuckled. “To obtain even one Void Spirit Pill right under their noses is already incredibly fortunate and a great opportunity. If you had tried to take other pills, it would have been easy to run into trouble. It’s also fortunate that there were three Void Spirit Pills in the bottle. If there had only been one or even two, it would have been much trickier. I might have had to simply give up on it. I certainly don’t want to be chased by two enraged Integration-stage experts in this foreign land.” Han Li explained with a smile, then swept his hand across his storage bracelet, and the original purple-gold vial reappeared in his hand.

He poured the pill into it, then, with a flash of spiritual light, affixed several restriction talismans to it before carefully putting the vial away.

“If Master says so, there must be a reason,” Qu'er replied, still sounding a bit reluctant. “But seeing those spirit pills fall into their hands, this humble maid just feels a little unwilling.”

Han Li shook his head with a faint smile, but then, remembering something else, he flicked his sleeve, and a dense swarm of inch-long flying knives poured out.

Each knife gleamed with a chilling light, incredibly thin as paper. In an instant, they spread throughout the surrounding air, an astonishing number totaling three to four hundred.

“Master, these are—” The girl looked on, somewhat dumbfounded.

“This set of flying knives was refined from the wings of that strange moth I encountered overseas last time. There are a total of 360 of them...”
