Chapter 1551: New Flying Sword

Seventy-two phantom sword shadows shot out from his sleeve. With a faint flicker, they all vanished into the green bamboo.

Then, Han Li formed a hand seal with one hand and softly uttered, "Rise!"

An astonishing scene unfolded.

All the Golden Lightning Bamboo erupted with a thunderous roar. Both their main stalks and leaves instantly changed color from verdant green to withered yellow. Then, with a slight tremor, their color shifted again to a greyish-white, becoming like dead objects.

At this moment, a light breeze swept through, and the Golden Lightning Bamboo instantly turned to ash, vanishing without a trace.

The seventy-two roughly foot-long flying swords floated a few feet above the ground, each radiating a chilling glint.

He made a grasping motion in the air with one hand.

With a soft whoosh, one of the flying swords, flashing with green light, shot through the air and was caught in his grasp.

Han Li gazed at the green flying sword in his hand for a moment. Then, with his other hand, he lightly flicked the sword's back.

Instantly, a shimmering light pulsed on the sword's surface, and a long, dragon-like cry resounded.

As the flying sword swayed, it trembled incessantly, as if it were a green flood dragon.

Han Li's eyebrows subtly twitched, his gaze flickering twice. Suddenly, the palm holding the sword pulsed with immense spiritual light, and streams of astonishing spiritual energy were forcefully channeled into the sword.

The flying sword immediately flashed wildly with green light. Its seemingly solid blade became blurred and indistinct.

Han Li narrowed his eyes and pointed a finger, seemingly without effort, at the sword.

As the flying sword faintly shimmered, his finger passed straight through the blade without any resistance.

It was as if the flying sword had no physical form, merely an illusion.

Han Li was overjoyed at this sight. He immediately formed a hand seal with both hands and urged the multitude of flying swords before him with his divine sense.

The seventy-two flying swords instantly soared into the air. After circling once, they all disappeared into Han Li's body.

With a flash of green light around him, Han Li transformed into a dazzling rainbow and flew out of the medicinal garden. After a few blinks, he vanished from sight.

A short while later, from the foot of the giant mountain where Han Li's immortal cave was located, a green rainbow shot into the sky, fleeing directly in the opposite direction from the Black Nether Mist Sea.

Given the powerful divine senses of the three Body Integration-level entities in the distance, Han Li couldn't truly conceal himself, even if he tried to hide his presence. Therefore, he made no attempt to hide; instead, he directly controlled his escape light and flew towards the horizon.

The rumbling sounds faintly reached him from afar, and astonishing rays of light constantly flickered at the edge of the sky. Even if the two alien beings truly wanted to pursue him, they currently had no time to spare.

Han Li seized this opportune moment and fled without hesitation.

In the distant battle, a single-horned youth, transformed into a tusky monster with a fierce visage, unleashed countless green arcs from his hands, forcefully repelling the charging bone bird with a single strike. He then let out a soft "咦" from his mouth, turned his head to glance in the direction Han Li had fled, a cold glint flickering in his eyes.

"Brother Min, ignore everything else. Let's focus on killing this fiend first. If we push a little harder, we can injure it," a gigantic merman wielding a trident hummed on the other side.

This alien likewise noticed Han Li's departure but merely voiced a reminder.

"You don't need to tell me, I know," the monster, once the single-horned youth, coldly snorted and replied. After a thunderclap from the sharp horn atop its head, a green light arc, as thick as a water vat, shot forth and instantly transformed into a massive lightning blade, brutally striking the opposing bone bird.

The giant bone bird, unwilling to show weakness, let out a sharp cry, and with a raised claw, it struck at the empty air.

An impossibly enormous claw emerged amidst swirling black mist, directly confronting the lightning blade.

A deafening roar erupted, followed by a powerful shockwave that surged outwards.

Seeing this, the gigantic merman let out a sinister laugh, and with a wave of his trident, an incredibly thick ice spear, a hurricane, and a white electric arc simultaneously burst forth, while he himself flickered and charged forward.

The battle among the three seemed to intensify even further in that instant!

Han Li initially steered his escape light towards the inland region where the Roc Race resided. However, after fleeing over a hundred thousand miles, he suddenly changed direction, making a wide circle and heading towards the depths of the ocean.

He did this only after exercising extreme caution.

This was to prevent the two alien beings from quickly dispatching the nine-headed bone bird and then pursuing him.

Such a feint ensured his safety.

Even so, Han Li dared not stop for the first ten-odd days, continually flying at full speed into the deep sea. Only after flying countless miles and confirming that he would not encounter the two alien beings again did he finally breathe a sigh of relief and abruptly change his direction.

He then shifted to flying slowly parallel to the coastline. Generally, the deep ocean harbors more powerful sea beasts and natural dangers than the mainland. Even with his Void Refinement cultivation, he had never considered venturing into the true depths of the ocean.

After all, there were too many unknown dangers.

However, Han Li had no intention of remaining in the territory controlled by the Spiritflame Race.

On one hand, it was due to the Roc Race. On the other hand, the arrival of the two Body Integration-level alien beings gave him a subtle sense of foreboding. This made him decide to flee immediately, with almost no further thought.

He planned to continue flying along the coast until he was beyond the Spiritflame Race's inhabited region.

Firstly, the coastal areas would not have the powerful sea beasts found in the inner sea. Secondly, the Spiritflame Race generally disliked the ocean and would not easily appear in this area.

This way, he could avoid a lot of trouble.

With his plans settled, Han Li sped eastward.

With his current cultivation, even while controlling his escape speed, flying millions of miles in a single day was effortless.

As Han Li flew, he took out a green flying sword from within his escape light, stroking it with one hand, deep in thought.

These Azure Bamboo Cloudswords, now completely transformed into pure wood-attributed artifacts, shimmered with green light, becoming as light as nothing. And when spiritual power was infused, they could freely transform between a light form and a solid state.

Han Li gripped the hilt with one hand, and after infusing spiritual power, he lightly swung it.

A large expanse of green light burst forth before him, like a peacock fanning its tail. But with a flick of his wrist, all the green light instantly condensed back into the green longsword. The speed was almost inconceivable!

Han Li's face naturally beamed with delight.

When he had just swung the flying sword, he felt almost no weight or resistance. This indicated that the sword's sharpness and lightness had reached a truly astonishing level.

This way, when wielding this flying sword, a mere thought could send it instantly several miles away, making it capable of killing with a single thought.

However, Han Li immediately frowned.

Since this flying sword had become so light and its attribute so singular, its durability probably couldn't compare to before.

Thinking this, after a slight hesitation, he flipped his other hand, and another identical flying sword emerged.

The two flying swords flickered and actually crossed, striking each other.

With a flash, a crisp cracking sound rang out.

"Oh no!" Han Li was startled. He then cursed inwardly and quickly fixed his gaze on them. His expression immediately turned grim.

Both flying swords had simultaneously broken in two at the point of impact. The two front halves of the blades gently hovered before him.

The newly refined Azure Bamboo Cloudswords' lack of durability was far worse than he had anticipated.

"No, that's not right. The Azure Bamboo Cloudswords are my Natal Spirit Treasures. If they were damaged, how could I be unharmed?" Han Li immediately felt a sense of surprise and doubt. But with a shift of his thoughts, he flicked the two broken swords from his hand while simultaneously forming a sword seal with one hand.

A strange phenomenon occurred!

The four sword sections trembled simultaneously, abruptly gathered in pairs. Then, with a flash of green light, the two flying swords reappeared before him, completely intact.

"Sword Spirit Transmogrification!" Han Li's eyes lit up as he exclaimed. He had been somewhat suspicious when he first infused spiritual energy into the swords, causing their blades to become indistinct. Now, he was absolutely certain.

This was a legendary and incredible divine ability among human sword cultivators!

Han Li had always heard about it, but had never personally seen or heard of any high-level sword cultivator's flying sword possessing such an astonishing divine ability.

He hadn't expected that after using the Sword Implantation Secret Art just once, his flying swords would acquire such a powerful divine ability.

It was said that flying swords possessing this divine ability could completely transform into an intangible form, capable of freely disintegrating into countless sections and then restoring themselves as before.

This way, flying swords with this divine ability could almost be considered indestructible. Apart from certain special treasures, there was almost no concern about them being destroyed.

Of course, this was only in theory. Each time the flying sword virtualized and recombined, there would naturally be some slight wear and tear, and the sword's owner would also expend a considerable amount of spiritual power.

If it truly underwent too many fractures, or if the sword's owner ran out of spiritual power, even with the divine ability of Sword Spirit Transmogrification, these flying swords would still be utterly destroyed.

Even so, Han Li was utterly ecstatic.

Now he finally understood why Old Man Jiang had been so dismissive upon seeing him incorporate other-attributed materials into his flying swords.

Perhaps this old man's own flying swords also possessed this powerful divine ability. However, Old Man Jiang hadn't used the Sword Implantation Art. It was unknown how long his swords had been refined to acquire this divine ability.

Unlike him, who, with the aid of the Golden Lightning Bamboo and the small bottle, had refined his flying swords to such a pure state in a mere hundred-odd years.

He opened his mouth, and a stream of green mist sprayed forth.

The two flying swords spun in the green mist, instantly shrinking more than ten times, becoming about an inch in size.

Then, as the mist curled back, the flying swords were instantly drawn into Han Li, absorbed into his body.

If these flying swords were to be further refined to the state of "Sword Heart Enlightenment," external objects could no longer achieve it. He would have to rely solely on his own True Essence, slowly cultivating them.

Han Li was in high spirits. As he continued to fly with his escape light, he also continued to study the Spring Dawn Sword Array.

Days passed like this. Han Li flew along the coastline for over half a year.

One day, Han Li had just commanded several flying swords to flash with sword light and slice a sea serpent, which had emerged from the seabed attempting to attack him, into several pieces, when his expression suddenly changed, and he abruptly looked up at the sky to one side.
