"That must be the person in front. They certainly possess some divine abilities. But since I've caught up, it would be a huge joke if they still managed to escape," a woman's voice said.

Behind them, within a black ethereal light, were the shadow woman and Blood Poison.

It was unclear what method they used to track Han Li so accurately. The woman chuckled softly and formed a hand seal with one hand.

The black luminous mist spun around them, then transformed into a black light formation. Strange lights flickered within the formation, and the figures of the woman and Blood Poison blurred slightly before simultaneously vanishing.

The next moment, an incredible scene unfolded.

As the faint blue and white thread moved at an almost supernatural escape velocity, space suddenly rippled not far ahead, and a gigantic black formation mysteriously materialized. Han Li was startled. It was already too late to stop his escape light. Even at full speed with his Wind-Thunder Wings, his escape velocity was incredibly fast, but he couldn't control it at will.

Before he could react, the faint blue and white thread plunged headfirst into the black formation. Han Li felt his vision go black, surrounded by black ethereal light from all directions, with gusts of chilling wind sweeping over him. It was as if he had entered the gates of the underworld.

Terrified, Han Li didn't have time to think. A thunderclap erupted from his body, and countless golden arcs shot out, transforming into golden electric snakes that danced wildly. The sound of thunder roared! Both the black mist and the chilling winds, upon approaching the golden arcs, exploded and vanished as if encountering their nemesis.

"Exorcising Divine Lightning! You actually cultivated this divine lightning!" the woman's surprised voice echoed from all directions, filled with ecstasy.

Han Li was momentarily stunned, wondering what the other party meant, when he suddenly felt the surrounding black mist begin to spin, faster and faster. Alarmed, Han Li's golden arcs crackled with thunder and swiftly coiled back, forming a golden lightning cloak that enveloped him. But at that moment, a woman's soft giggle entered his ears.

"Fellow Daoist, there's no need to panic. I have no ill intentions. I merely wish to invite you to stay at my humble abode for a short period."

How could Han Li truly agree to be their guest? With a flutter of the wings on his back, he prepared to flee. However, the woman seemed to have anticipated this. She suddenly clapped her hand in the air. An invisible, immense force instantly acted upon Han Li. Even with his strong physical body, his figure couldn't help but freeze momentarily.

Han Li's heart sank abruptly. With that brief delay, the gigantic formation flashed with black light, and all three figures vanished simultaneously.

After a dizzying sensation, Han Li inwardly cried out, "This is bad!" He quickly circulated the Great Expansion Technique within his body. Only then did his consciousness clear. He then realized he had been teleported from mid-air to a high platform, resembling an altar. The ground beneath his feet was clearly another teleportation array.

Not far from him, the woman and the Blood Serpent stood motionless, as if they hadn't moved an inch from the beginning. Judging by the thick dark energy in the air nearby, this place must be a layer of the Underworld Abyss below the second layer. What chilled him even more was that around the high platform where the formation was located, stood seven or eight demonic creatures of various forms, each appearing half-human, half-demon. Their cultivation levels weren't high, only at the Nascent Soul and Soul Transformation stages! But judging by the large cluster of buildings near the high platform, he had clearly been teleported into some kind of demonic lair.

Han Li secretly groaned in distress. For a moment, he dared not make any rash moves, simply staring silently at the woman opposite him. Evidently, this woman was the master Blood Serpent had spoken of. Otherwise, how could she possess such divine abilities, bringing him here with a mere flick of her hand?

"Fellow Daoist, please follow me to the great hall for a chat," the shadow woman said with a soft chuckle. She then moved, slowly flying towards the distant cluster of buildings.

Blood Poison gave Han Li a strange look, then also flew off, following the shadow woman. They seemed not to fear Han Li escaping again.

Han Li glanced at the buildings, then looked towards the distant high sky a few times, a wry smile appearing on his face. Grey clouds covered the sky, with black lightning flickering within, and a strange, indistinct spiritual pressure could be felt. It was clearly a powerful restriction set by someone with immense magical power, something he couldn't break in a short time.

However, judging by the woman's earlier words, it didn't seem like she intended to kill him immediately. If so, it would be best to first hear what she had to say. As long as he didn't provoke her, he should be able to act according to the situation. Besides, he had no rigid prejudice that humans and demons could not coexist.

Having made up his mind, Han Li felt a little more at ease. With a flash of green light, he temporarily transformed into a ball of green light and followed them.

Led by the shadow woman, Han Li followed them to the front of a wooden grand hall, the tallest among the buildings, and landed. The shadow woman and Blood Poison walked in within a few steps. After Han Li's gaze swept over the demonic creatures on both sides of the hall, a strange expression appeared on his face.

The creatures guarding the hall entrance were, astonishingly, several small monkey-like demons. Beneath each demon monkey was a light black Giant Spirit Flower, its roots firmly embedded in the soil outside the hall entrance. His eyes flashed, revealing a thoughtful look. Han Li felt that he had seemingly found the reason why the other party would actively seek trouble with him and his companions.

Without further delay, Han Li took a breath and, under the watchful eyes of the demon monkeys, walked through the hall entrance.

The great hall was empty! Other than the shadow woman and Blood Poison who had just entered, there was no one else. On both sides of the hall, two rows of wooden chairs were arranged. The woman had already walked to a gigantic golden flower in the center of the hall and sat down steadily in a cross-legged position. Blood Poison, meanwhile, stood obediently to the side with hands clasped.

"Someone, bring tea for our distinguished guest!" the woman said, gesturing for Han Li to sit on a nearby wooden chair, then clapped her hands twice.

A moment later, a comely maid in a green dress appeared from somewhere, carrying a wooden tray with two white teacups on it. The maid handed one cup to Han Li and offered the other to the shadow woman. She had not prepared tea for Blood Poison. Blood Poison's expression remained normal; he seemed to find nothing amiss with this.

Han Li looked at the tea in his hand, his mouth twitching slightly, but he dared not drink it immediately. In the pure white, jade-like teacup, a faint fishy smell wafted, revealing a liquid as black as ink. Let alone drinking it, merely smelling it from such a close distance made Han Li's expression change several times.

With his discernment, he instantly recognized that the tea contained numerous strange poisons, possibly dozens of them. He could only identify a small fraction. Yet, even the poisons he recognized would be lethal to an ordinary person upon contact. Even if Han Li had utmost confidence in his physical body, he wouldn't easily drink poisoned liquid.

"Fellow Daoist, rest assured. This cup of 'Yinsha Tea' is brewed from eighty-one types of exotic poisons. While each individual poison is indeed potent, they cleverly counteract each other, rendering the tea harmless. In fact, regular consumption can slightly enhance our divine sense," the woman said with a faint smile, seemingly noticing Han Li's hesitation. She then lowered her head and actually took a sip of the so-called "Yinsha Tea."

Han Li's expression shifted. He lowered his head and carefully examined the tea in his hand. After a slight hesitation, he took a small sip. Given the other party's divine abilities, if they intended to use some hidden means against him, he wouldn't be able to refuse anyway. It was better to be straightforward. And judging by her demeanor, it seemed there was no need for deception in this matter.

The foul-smelling tea tasted incredibly bitter at first, but upon swallowing, it transformed into a surge of warmth that spread throughout his meridians. Simultaneously, a cool sensation rushed into his mind, making his consciousness even clearer. His spiritual sense quickly scanned his body, confirming that no trace of toxicity remained. Han Li felt a sense of relief!

"Thank you for your hospitality, Senior. But I wonder why you brought me here. This is my first time in the Underworld Abyss, and I don't believe I've offended you in any way," Han Li said, placing the teacup on a nearby table, his tone serious.

"I indeed invited you here to discuss some important matters. However, there's no rush for that. Please stay here for a few days. After a while, I will explain everything clearly. By the way, may I ask your esteemed name? My humble self is Mu Qing!" The shadow woman meticulously scrutinized Han Li, making him feel a bit uneasy, before calmly asking.

"So it's Senior Mu Qing. My surname is Han!" Han Li replied honestly after a slight hesitation. Deceiving her on this matter would be pointless and unrewarding.

"So it's Fellow Daoist Han! Bi'er, take Fellow Daoist Han to the guest building to rest for a while. Make sure all his needs are met to his satisfaction," Mu Qing nodded, but then her voice suddenly turned cold.

The green-dressed maid, who had served the tea and was standing by, was startled, but immediately reacted by kneeling and accepting the order. With no other choice, Han Li could only stand up and follow the green-dressed maid out of the great hall.

In a flash, only Mu Qing and Blood Poison remained in the hall. The shadow woman gazed in the direction of the hall entrance where Han Li had disappeared, her eyes flickering as if deep in thought. Blood Poison, meanwhile, remained silent by her side, as if he had become mute.

"Blood Poison, don't you want to ask me why I changed my mind?" the woman suddenly spoke.

"Since Master has decided so, Master naturally has her reasons. This subordinate does not need to ask further," Blood Poison replied, bowing slightly, his voice unusually calm.

"Hehe, you're quite perceptive! Actually, there's nothing to keep secret; telling you is fine. The reason I suddenly changed my mind about using him as blood sustenance is, naturally, because I discovered greater utility in him," the woman chuckled.

"Greater utility? Does Master perhaps refer to the Exorcising Divine Lightning he displayed?" Blood Serpent's heart trembled, and he pondered slightly before speaking.

"Hehe, precisely that divine ability he possesses. While top-grade blood sustenance is indeed hard to find, it can always be gathered eventually. But with the aid of this divine lightning, our grand schemes gain an additional ten percent chance of success. Given that, do I even need to explain the choice?" Mu Qing said leisurely.
