Chapter 1326: Lu Yang is Rarer Than Innate Spirits

It took Lu Yang several months to pilot the wupeng boat back to the Immortal World, a journey that lasted more than twice as long as the trip from the Immortal World to Blue Star. Xia He had never been in space before, and the experience of weightlessness, seeing the sun, moon, and stars up close, was incredibly rare. Bai Shuang had traveled on spaceships, but nothing compared to the novelty of the wupeng boat. That's why the journey took so long. Lu Yang could understand this feeling; after all, he had also spent a long time exploring the universe back then.

Moreover, they encountered several minor troubles along the way: wormholes suddenly appearing and transporting them to unknown cosmic regions, saving a silicon-based civilization, becoming gods in a land of tiny people, meeting an orphaned giant, defeating several cosmic monsters, and then a colossal monster formed by their fusion, before finally finding their way back and successfully returning to the Immortal World.

“So many types of life exist in the universe!” The journey was an eye-opener for Xia He and Bai Shuang. These were sights they had only ever seen in science fiction movies, yet they had experienced them all firsthand.

Lu Yang muttered to himself, thinking that even the powerful civilizations of the Interstellar Alliance and the Zhutian Civilization hadn't encountered so many strange cosmic races. How was it that he managed to meet them all on a single trip?

“It’s pretty common,” Lu Yang said casually, as if these were merely travel anecdotes. From his tone, it was easy to imagine how rich his past experiences must have been, encountering such things regularly during his travels through the universe.

“Oh really? Then why didn’t you ever tell us about any of this before?” Xia He raised an eyebrow, keenly spotting the inconsistency.

Lu Yang coughed twice abruptly to cover his embarrassment: “I’ve just experienced so many things, I was afraid you’d get bored if I talked about them all.”

“Is that so?” Xia He looked at Lu Yang with a half-smile, as if she could see right through his lie.

“Seriously, when have I ever lied to you?”

If he hadn't said that, it might have been fine, but as soon as Lu Yang spoke, Xia He bristled. “Are you kidding? How many times have you lied to me? You told me the streets were safe, but you tricked me into being bait on the street! Zombies swarmed out like it was dinnertime at the cafeteria! And you said you were going to participate in the Zombie King Championship and would be back soon after becoming the Zombie King, asking me to watch the safe zone for a bit. Was that ‘soon’? You were gone for so long, I thought something had happened to you out there! And another time, you…”

“Stop, stop!” Lu Yang quickly interjected, his face flushing as he listened to Xia He recount his less-than-virtuous deeds.

Bai Shuang stood nearby, head lowered, not daring to make a sound. She had been there, watching with amusement, every time Lu Yang had pulled these stunts.

“Wow, we’re in the Immortal World! We’re home!” The Immortal Fairy cried out dramatically, seizing the opportunity to interrupt Xia He’s tirade. Lu Yang was incredibly grateful, surprised that the Immortal Fairy could be so reliable.

The statement indeed captured Xia He’s attention. She looked up and saw the immeasurably vast Immortal World, and her heart skipped a beat. Even after hearing Lu Yang describe the Immortal World’s grandeur and how tiny planets were in comparison countless times, nothing prepared her for seeing it with her own eyes.

“So this is the Immortal World…”

At the entrance to the Immortal World, spaceships from other planets arrived and departed in a continuous stream. All civilizations held intense curiosity about the Immortal World. A mere blogger filming a video there would garner an astonishing number of views, and their follower count would skyrocket. As for business collaborations, it went without saying: the Immortal World was a treasure trove that countless business magnates vied desperately to get a share of. The only issue was that these magnates were completely stunned when they witnessed the Immortal World’s ability to turn objects into gold.

Now, interstellar travel was no longer exclusive to cultivators above the Integration stage; lower-level cultivators and even mortals could travel to other planets by spaceship.

The wupeng boat entered the Immortal World. Its peculiar structure made Xia He feel a little dizzy, but she quickly adjusted. Lu Yang propelled the wupeng boat back to Wen Dao Sect.

At the bamboo grove entrance to Wen Dao Sect, two figures and a metal box were sitting by the river, playing a game.

“Jump! Jump!”

“Don’t rush me, don’t rush me.”

With a *snap*, the game console broke. The Innate Daoist looked innocently at the River Spirit: “See? It’s all your fault for rushing me.”

The River Spirit glared, bristling: “Can you blame me for rushing you? How many times have you died on this level already?!”

The Innate Daoist threw the broken game console into the river. The River Spirit also jumped in. Before long, mist rose from the river. The River Spirit slowly ascended, holding two game consoles in its palm, its expression gentle: “Innate Daoist, did you drop this broken game console, or this perfectly intact one?”

“The broken one.”

“What an honest child. Then this broken game console is yours.”

“Hey, shouldn’t you be giving me the good one?!” The Innate Daoist exclaimed, agitated.

The River Spirit ignored the Innate Daoist, patting the nearby Aether Computer: “Let’s start a game, you and I.”

Just then, the River Spirit looked up, sensing Bai Shuang’s aura. “What’s wrong?” The Aether Computer asked, puzzled.

“Where did that kid Lu Yang go now? He brought another innate being back?”

“Huh? Are innate beings that common now?” The Aether Computer had been proud when it heard that innate beings were rare, but now it seemed they weren't so scarce after all.

“Certainly not as rare as Lu Yang.”

On Tianmen Peak, Yun Mengmeng had just baked a plate of flower cakes and offered one to Qing He to taste. Qing He had disappeared before Lu Yang’s last retreat and only reappeared today, for a reason.

“Xiao He, are you saying that the Mother-Child River in our secret realm was created by the Big Boss?”

“Yes,” Qing He affirmed. To find the lost Mother-Child River, she had traveled far and wide, visited countless ancient ruins and secret realms, finally tracking down clues that led her to Yun Mengmeng’s hometown.

Yun Mengmeng felt lightheaded after hearing this, unable to sort out the complex relationships. She asked Qing He to explain them, but Qing He couldn't make sense of them either.

“Never mind, I won’t think about it anymore. It’s enough to know that we’re even closer to the Big Boss,” Yun Mengmeng said. She never bothered herself with overthinking; if she couldn’t figure something out, no amount of thought would help. She’d rather enjoy life with that energy.

“We’re back!” Lu Yang scaled Tianmen Peak, greeting Yun Mengmeng and Qing He with a smile.

“Second Boss, you’re back! And you brought a woman!” Yun Mengmeng paused, then mused, “In storybooks, isn’t this usually called a ‘Bandit Chief’s wife’?”

Lu Yang's face darkened with exasperation. “Mengmeng, you really need to read more books.”

“But this *is* what I learned from books!” Yun Mengmeng retorted indignantly. How else would she know so much if she didn't read?

“Big Mama, you’re back!”

Xia He looked at the flustered Immortal Fairy with a mix of surprise and uncertainty. “Immortal Senior, your child is already this old?”

“I’m not! I don’t! She’s talking nonsense!”
