Chapter 1291: How Could I Not Know About the Many Spirit Stones in the Cultivation World?

"Where is Shi Wumian? Tell him to get back here now!" The Celestial Emperor's vision went dark; this was a matter of life and death.

"Do you think I don't know there are spirit stones in the cultivation world? Do you think I don't want to go there to mine them?!"

The maid Cui'er was bewildered. In her impression, His Majesty the Celestial Emperor had always been in complete control, with everything within his grasp. She couldn't fathom him being so flustered.

"Your Majesty, General Shi's legion is millions of light-years away from here. We cannot directly notify him."

Hearing this, the Celestial Emperor remembered. Communication with Shi Wumian had a delay. By the time the message reached him, the Azure Heaven Legion would have already set off to conquer the cultivation world... *Pah*, could that even be called a conquest? That was a suicide mission!

No one knew the horrors of the cultivation world better than the Celestial Emperor.

There were the Four Ancient Immortals, former masters of the universe; the Immortal, founder of the Dao Fruit path, who surpassed even the Four Ancient Immortals; the mysterious immortal who assassinated the Immortal and defeated the Four Ancient Immortals; the Central Heavenly Sovereign and Scribe of Fate, hiding in the shadows, whom he had never found; the Great Xia Dynasty, which harbored one or perhaps two immortals; the immortal shrouded in gray mist whom the Qilin Immortal had asked him to intercept; and finally, the rising star, Yun Zhi of the Dao-Seeking Sect, whose reputation was not widespread but whose cultivation was unparalleled in the world.

He wished to provoke none of these powers!

He had expended immense effort, endured countless schemes, and finally given up everything to escape beyond the Box World. How could it be that he had barely enjoyed his freedom before the Box World was opened?!

Did this not mean the Immortal had been resurrected?

Was the person with great destiny he had replaced so outrageous?

No, he couldn't just sit there and wait for death.

With that thought, the Celestial Emperor took a single step, traversing tens of thousands of miles, crossing the star sea, to personally intercept that fool Shi Wumian!

When Dai Bufan awoke, he found himself still in the Grand Brightness Hall, but the topic of discussion had shifted from integrating technology to resisting foreign invaders.

"I thought there was no spiritual energy beyond our domain, and thus no opponents for us. It seems we truly underestimated the people from beyond," the Old Dragon King sighed, lamenting that the cultivation world had encountered a crisis so soon after the seal was lifted.

The Aether Computer repeatedly replayed the battles between the Star Alliance and the Azure Heaven Legion. However, it was difficult to gauge the Azure Heaven Legion's strength from the footage; only the astonishing elasticity and defensive power of their warships were evident.

This wasn't particularly remarkable, as many cultivators in the cultivation world could achieve such feats.

The Azure Heaven Legion had swept through the Star Alliance without even revealing their offensive methods. The unknown was truly the most terrifying.

"Claiming to be galactic overlords and even naming themselves Celestial Emperors, the Zhutian Civilization must be incredibly powerful."

"It's a pity that several immortals are traveling beyond the heavens, their whereabouts unknown. Currently, the cultivation world only has a dozen or so Half-Immortals and just over a hundred Tribulation Transcenders!" The Snow Emperor regretfully slapped his leg. Although he was a Half-Immortal himself, he dared not be overconfident in the face of the cultivation world's crisis, feeling his own power was limited.

Lu Yang opened his mouth. The current Zhutian Civilization was different from what he had encountered in his previous life; it was much stronger now. His intuition told him that even this stronger Zhutian Civilization was far from as powerful as the cultivation world, and their worries were unnecessary.

However, this was merely intuition, with no evidence to support it, so he kept the thought to himself.

Otherwise, if the cultivation world underestimated the Zhutian Civilization and ended up losing, the consequences would be severe.

"Let's enter a state of combat readiness," Emperor Xia proposed, and everyone agreed.

Major forces had their moments of combat readiness, usually to guard against other factions. But for the entire cultivation world to unite and enter such a state — that was unprecedented.

This meant opening up various cultivation techniques and resources, urging cultivators to seize the time to train and striving to elevate the cultivation world's overall strength in the shortest possible time. Apart from veteran cultivators who were too old, other cultivators would likely advance at least one minor realm.

And those exceptional talents, the heaven-defying prodigies, would rise spectacularly during this period.

"What about the White Horse Dynasty and others?" Lu Yang thought of another issue. The Zhutian Civilization was clearly hostile and would encounter other planets like the White Horse Dynasty along the way, potentially invading them.

Hadn't Senior Brother Dai mentioned that since he left, cultivators had discovered other inhabited planets near the cultivation world?

Of course, "near" in this context was measured in light-years.

"Brother Lu, do you have any ideas?" Zhu Tian asked.

"My suggestion is to move these planets to our cultivation world. After all, we have plenty of space."

The stars in the cultivation world's cosmos were mere illusions left by ancient stars, making it convenient to relocate these planets there.

"Brother Lu's idea is brilliant!" Zhu Tian immediately agreed with Lu Yang's proposal, praising him for his philanthropic spirit and admitting he hadn't even considered the White Horse Dynasty's predicament.

While Zhu Tian's praise contained an element of flattery, others, after considering it, also found it a viable solution. They certainly couldn't abandon these places.

"We still need to respect the opinions of these planets and see how they decide after we explain the situation to them," the Old Dragon King said.

In reality, the Old Dragon King was overthinking things. Even without the current threat of a major enemy, let alone the Zhutian Civilization's menace, these planets would be eager to join the cultivation world.

The mere fact that spiritual energy could extend lifespans would make them flock to it.

"The technology brought by Director Gao is also very helpful for warfare," Lu Yang said.

"Especially quantum communication technology; it allows communication regardless of distance, and at an extremely low cost."

The cultivation world also had long-distance communication artifacts, such as the Nine Nether Token given to Lu Yang by the Nine Nether Sect, or the letters given by the Eldest Senior Sister to the Second Senior Brother and Third Senior Sister. However, these items were too expensive to be widely distributed.

Quantum communication technology, however, was much cheaper; even the citizens of the Star Alliance could afford it.

Emperor Xia nodded: "Yes, integrating Director Gao's technology with cultivation is also very important."

"Then I'll take Director Gao and help him become familiar with matters concerning cultivation," Lu Yang offered, feeling responsible as he was the one who had brought him.

"Very well," everyone agreed. While they all wanted to pull Director Gao into their own factions, they knew it was impossible. Entrusting Director Gao's affairs to Lu Yang, however, was something everyone welcomed.

"Director Gao, is there anyone in particular you'd like to meet?"

"Mr. Lu, you mentioned your Wupeng boat was developed by your Grandmaster and another senior. Could I meet these two individuals?"

Lu Yang turned his head: "Senior Brother Dai, where is Grandmaster Guiyuan now? Is he at the sect?"

Dai Bufan thought for a moment and said, "He should be at the shipyard outside the Imperial City, building boats with Senior Dao Zu."

"That's excellent."

Lu Yang bid farewell to the others and took Director Gao to the shipyard outside the Imperial City.

The temperature near the shipyard was frighteningly high, with large furnaces blazing fiercely.

One Wupeng boat after another was being built, slightly different in design from Lu Yang's own, likely representing a second generation.

"Little Lu is back?" Grandmaster Guiyuan, who was holding a piece of immortal gold, waved happily upon seeing Lu Yang approach.

"Grandmaster Guiyuan, Senior Dao Zu." After bowing to both, Lu Yang explained the situation.

"Oh, so you want to see the shipbuilding process? Of course," Grandmaster Guiyuan chuckled, having expected some difficult request, only to find it was such a minor matter.

"Thank you, Mr. Guiyuan and Mr. Dao Zu. I primarily want to understand how you solve material problems and how you make your spacecraft achieve light speed."

"We're building a boat right now, so just watch."

Director Gao was very excited. He hadn't expected the cultivation world to be so welcoming, allowing him to witness such important technology.

He watched as Senior Dao Zu activated a nascent form of the Dao Fruit of Speed, imbuing the immortal gold with the ability to travel at light speed. Then, Grandmaster Guiyuan activated a nascent form of the Dao Fruit of Unity, merging the immortal gold with the newly built Wupeng boat. In an instant, a brand-new Wupeng boat, widely acclaimed in the market, was complete.

Director Gao: "..."

"Wait, I didn't blink. What just happened?"

"Um, is this spacecraft really finished?" He patted the vessel twice. "It's done just like that?"

"Yes. If you have any questions, feel free to ask."

"How does this spacecraft achieve light-speed travel?"

"It's simple. I gave it the ability to fly at light speed, and so it did."

"Does that even make sense?"
