Chapter 1283: We in the Immortal Cultivation World Have Just Been Able to Enter the Universe

Eleven projected figures successively appeared in the Supreme Council Chamber, gathering around the round table to await the convener's arrival.

One of the members impatiently tapped on the table. "Old Gao called us for an emergency meeting, but he's late," he grumbled. "Isn't he always the earliest to arrive?"

His name was Wang Jinglong, and he was the head of the Wang family conglomerate. The Murong Group was merely one of his many subsidiaries.

"Did he tell you the purpose of this meeting? Has he figured out why the Sagittarius Galaxy's sun exploded?" The people of the Sagittarius Galaxy had temporarily relocated to the Eternal Galaxy, and the conglomerates under his control had complained to him about the severe losses incurred from this relocation, asking when the Alliance would move the people back.

"President, do you know?"

The President was a robust middle-aged man in combat attire. He commanded all of the Alliance's armed forces and held immense prestige within the Alliance.

"He said it's related to aiding undeveloped civilizations. He didn't tell me the details."

"Aiding undeveloped civilizations? Haven't the matters concerning Tianhai Star already concluded?" Wang Jinglong was bewildered by the President's words.

"My apologies, everyone," a voice interjected. "Calibrating the projection equipment took longer than anticipated."

The projection device lit up, and Dean Gao finally appeared. However, he was not the only one to appear this time; there was also an alien guest.

Wang Jinglong's expression soured at the sight of the outsider. "What's going on, Old Gao?" he demanded. "This is the Supreme Council. Why did you bring an outsider here?"

"This is the person you wanted to see."

Only then did everyone clearly see the appearance of the thirteenth person, and their pupils instantly contracted. It was the alien named Lu Yang!

The President was also shocked. Since the establishment of the Supreme Council, no outsider had ever participated in this meeting. Not even alternate members had this qualification!

"Hello everyone, my name is Lu Yang," Lu Yang said, smiling as if oblivious to their reactions. "I heard you wanted to see me, so here I am." He greeted the eleven authorities in a very polite manner.

"You're that alien?" Upon learning Lu Yang's identity, everyone immediately became interested. The Alliance was a cosmic hegemon, and these eleven supreme authorities, who governed it, knew countless secrets and understood all truths. Very few beings in the world could capture their attention anymore. Lu Yang was that exception. It was also reasonable that Lu Yang was brought by Dean Gao; Dean Gao must have found him through the Aether computer.

"If I may," Lu Yang said, "I'd prefer you call me a 'cultivator' rather than an 'alien'."

"'Cultivator'?" The group pondered the term, even searching for it with their smart brains. They had never heard the word before.

"Explaining 'cultivator' is a bit complicated," Lu Yang explained. "You can simply understand it as us using a rather special kind of power to strengthen ourselves. We call this special power 'spiritual energy,' and spiritual stones store a large amount of it."

As he spoke, Lu Yang flipped his hand and took out a spiritual stone. It was scanned, its structure analyzed, and then projected into the Supreme Council Chamber.

"This is a spiritual stone?" No one had ever seen a similar structure. They had assumed that having traversed the universe and enjoyed boundless territories, they had encountered every type of cosmic substance imaginable. They never expected there to be undiscovered natural matter.

"There are many spiritual stones in my world," Lu Yang explained. "We all use them for cultivation. As for the name of the civilization I come from, hmm," Lu Yang hesitated. "Let's temporarily call it the 'Cultivation World.' If it gets an official name later, we can change it."

"'Temporarily'?" The President noticed the implications behind Lu Yang's wording. "Could it be that the Cultivation World Mr. Lu comes from has never had contact with other civilizations?"

Only civilizations that had never encountered others would lack a name for themselves.

"To be frank," Lu Yang admitted, "our Cultivation World just recently gained the ability to enter the cosmos. Before that, we didn't even know what the universe looked like."

The Supreme Council members all froze, startled by his words. Just entering the cosmos? This Cultivation World was far too primitive.

"Mr. Lu, that 'wupeng' boat of yours is quite remarkable," Wang Jinglong said, staring at Lu Yang suspiciously. "It seems capable of traversing wormholes and performing spatial jumps. How could a civilization with such capabilities have just entered the cosmos?"

"Oh, you mean that boat?" Lu Yang replied casually. "That was just recently developed. Before that, our Cultivation World didn't even have such a thing."

Lu Yang was open and honest, answering everything. This attitude, paradoxically, made Wang Jinglong feel that he was being overly suspicious, which wasn't good for the Alliance's image.

Wang Jinglong couldn't suppress his curiosity. He had one last question: "Mr. Lu, your methods are extraordinary. You handled the fierce beasts on Tianhai Star and could even stop bullets. How did you do all that?"

"If I were to explain that," Lu Yang said, "it would take three days and three nights."

This was the truth. To explain these methods, he would need to explain the entire cultivation system to the Supreme Council members from beginning to end. With no prior exposure to cultivation, they had a zero-base, which would make it even harder to explain.

"You can understand it as these are methods that cultivators can only acquire after comprehending the heavens and earth," Lu Yang offered.

"Comprehending the heavens and earth?" Wang Jinglong wondered. How long had it been since he heard such a term? It sounded like something only primitive, backward civilizations, who worshiped nature, lived by the whims of the sky, and were stuck in an agrarian age, would say.

"I know what Mr. Wang is thinking," Lu Yang continued. "Our Cultivation World is indeed relatively backward. So, I'd like to ask the Alliance to send some people, just like with Tianhai Star, to aid our Cultivation World and provide us with technical support. It doesn't need to be too complicated; sending a few people will suffice."

The members exchanged glances, surprised that Lu Yang would make this request. However, Lu Yang's request was reasonable and not excessive; it merely involved sending a few people. The Alliance had no shortage of people.

"May I ask, Mr. Lu," one member inquired, "can you tell us the location of the Cultivation World?"

Lu Yang nodded, finding this simple. "Dean Gao, please display a star map."

"Aether, display star map."

The most comprehensive star map known to the Alliance appeared before everyone, with the Alliance itself at its center. This star map was larger than the one Lu Yang had seen in the library, but it still didn't include the location of the Cultivation World. So he had to mark the Cultivation World outside the map. "It's roughly here," he indicated.

"Mr. Lu, this matter still requires our discussion and decision," the President said, having made up his mind. However, no matter what, he couldn't make a decision directly in front of Lu Yang.

"Alright," Lu Yang replied, then discreetly withdrew from the Supreme Council.

After Lu Yang left, the President closed his eyes and pondered for a moment, then asked, "What are your thoughts?"

"I don't see any problem," one member said. "He doesn't seem like he's lying."

"I have no objections," Wang Jinglong said.

"Old Gao, what do you think?"

"How about we ask Aether?" Dean Gao suggested.

"You're right," another member agreed. "This matter should indeed be brought to Aether."

"Aether, regarding Mr. Lu Yang's proposal that the Alliance send personnel to aid the Cultivation World, what is your assessment?"

Aether quickly provided an answer: "Send me."
