Chapter 1168: The Extreme North Abounds in Schizophrenia

"I didn't expect the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong to actually intervene."

The dual energies of Yin and Yang obscured the sky and sun. The Snow Sovereign sighed softly. Since Xue Shishou was destined to become the next Snow Sovereign eventually, there was no harm in telling him certain things now.

"In fact, there are two reasons why the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong has never left the Blank White Jade Tablet."

Hearing this, Meng Jingzhou no longer cared about the battle in the sky. He pulled a small stool from the doorway and scooted closer to listen.

The Snow Sovereign gave Meng Jingzhou a cold look. Meng Jingzhou looked back in the direction the Snow Sovereign was gazing, but saw no one.

"There's no one behind me, Your Majesty Snow Sovereign. Please speak, we're all family here."

Meng Jingzhou looked at the Snow Sovereign with conviction, his face practically declaring, "I'm an honest child."

"I'm looking at *you*!" the Snow Sovereign retorted angrily. "Why is an outsider like you eavesdropping on matters of the Snow Sovereign lineage?"

"Huh? Oh, I wasn't supposed to listen?"

Seeing the Snow Sovereign's anger, Old Man Murong and Huo Huashen, who had also brought small stools and even carried a door panel to listen, sullenly departed.

"I truly am one of us," Meng Jingzhou insisted, pulling out a copy of "The Chaotic Primordial Qi, Dual Instruments, Three Powers, Four Symbols, Five Elements, Six Harmonies, Seven Luminaries, Eight Desolations, Nine Earths, Ten Heavens, Unique and Supreme Immortal Art" from his identity jade token. This was the cultivation method of the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong, also known as the "Numerary Immortal Art."

His self-created Unique and Supreme Fist technique was inspired by the Numerary Immortal Art, so in a way, the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong could be considered his half-teacher.

"The Revered Immortal Jiuzhong's immortal art?"

The Snow Sovereign was surprised; this truly made him an insider.

"Your Majesty, Daoist Meng is absolutely trustworthy and won't leak any information," Xue Shishou assured.

The Snow Sovereign sighed resignedly and said, "One reason the Revered Immortal has not left the White Jade Tablet is that he is avoiding an ineffable, unknowable entity. The Revered Immortal is extremely secretive about this entity, and I, too, know nothing about it."

"The second reason is that the Revered Immortal suffered an accident in ancient times, which led to the emergence of a second personality."

"This second personality is extremely warlike and prone to losing control. The Revered Immortal fears that if this second personality takes over his body, it would bring devastation to all living beings, which is why he dares not leave the White Jade Tablet."

"So it's a second personality," said Lu Yang, who had just flown back and happened to overhear the Snow Sovereign's explanation, thereby answering the Immortal Fairy's confusion.

Speaking of which, people from this far northern region really seem prone to developing dual personalities. First there was Xue Shishou, then Su Yuan, and now the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong has emerged.

The Snow Sovereign looked at the returning Lu Yang with a complex expression, not minding his eavesdropping. If it had been him facing Siming, he would have been caught long ago. Yet, Lu Yang seemed to handle Siming with ease.

"The Revered Immortal has always wanted to resolve his dual personality issue. In fact, having had a dual personality, and then only retaining one, is also one of the conditions for becoming the Snow Sovereign. He wanted to learn from the experiences of our past Snow Sovereigns."

"…Your Snow Sovereign lineage really is quite unique."

Throughout the entire Muxue City, only the Tiger Roar Martial Arts Academy had a relaxed atmosphere. As for the battle between the two immortals, the citizens of Muxue City were restless and uneasy. This level of combat was entirely beyond their comprehension, a battle on an incomprehensible scale.

The city lords who had rushed to watch knew more, and thus felt even greater fear. Immortals, by definition, controlled certain rules; their existence was on a completely different plane from mortals. A mere gesture could alter celestial phenomena.

They wanted to turn and flee, but then they considered that a battle between immortals was something they would likely never witness again in their lives, so they were reluctant to leave.

"Jiuzhong, one of the Four Ancient Immortals, has truly appeared." Siming countered with his bone staff, growing more excited with every strike.

Originally, Yang Kongdong had sent him a message saying Lu Yang possessed clues about the Four Ancient Immortals. At first, Siming suspected it was false information given by Yang Kongdong, who might have feared he wouldn't come. Lu Yang's flat denial also made him highly suspicious.

Now, there was no need for doubt. Lu Yang truly had clues about the Four Ancient Immortals!

No, this couldn't even be called a clue anymore; the Four Ancient Immortals they had been desperately searching for had actually appeared!

Now, the sun and moon were one. The day was the sun, the night was the moon. The world had never seen a scene where the sun and moon merged. Now, the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong held the sun and moon in his hands, stepping on a Tai Chi diagram, and the Yin and Yang of the sun and moon became perfectly harmonious and coordinated before him.

Seeing this sight, Sect Master Chi and Grand Elder Liu Zhen of the Blazing Sun Sect trembled uncontrollably. They knelt on the ground, bowing reverently to the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong in the void. Their Blazing Sun Sect had always believed that the greatest thing in the world was the sun.

Whether it was their past practice of sending people to the sun irregularly, or their current dedication to studying solar energy and promoting the sun's greatness, it all stemmed from this very belief.

Yet, the sun was merely one of the abilities manifested by the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong's Yin-Yang Dao Fruit.

If he declared that what he held in his hand was the true sun, then it was the true sun!

The sky was split in two by the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong, one side extreme Yang and the other extreme Yin, creating a realm of ice and fire.

Ancient legends spoke of ten suns in the sky, astonishing the world. But those ten suns were merely ten Golden Crows. How could they possibly compare to the sun evolved by the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong?

"Go!"

The Revered Immortal Jiuzhong hurled a fireball, which burst forth with immense light. Siming, with a single hand gesture, unleashed an immortal spell that existed only during the Great Qian period and was unrecorded in later generations.

"Heavenly Guardian Shield!"

Thirty-six Heavenly Guardians transformed into thirty-six layers of Vajra shields, blocking Siming's front. However, these thirty-six shields, facing the sun, were torn apart as easily as rice paper, and the scorching flames lunged directly at Siming.

Siming forcefully wielded his bone staff, batting the fireball away. The fireball landed thousands of miles away, exploding into a seemingly bottomless crater tens of thousands of miles deep. After an unknown duration, a roaring airwave finally arrived, followed by the sound of the explosion hitting the ground.

The bone staff directly touched the fireball, and the skull at its tip was scorched and melted. Yet, in the very next moment, the skull surprisingly recovered its original form.

The bone staff was Siming's intrinsic magical artifact, refined from his own bones after he became an immortal. Being immortal bones, they naturally possessed astonishing self-healing power.

However, what Siming hadn't expected was that the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong was hidden behind the fireball. When the fireball was struck away, the cackling Revered Immortal Jiuzhong appeared next.

The Revered Immortal Jiuzhong's body split into two, one half Yang and the other half Yin, representing the world's two most extreme forces. He simultaneously threw punches, signifying the collision of Yin and Yang, creating terrifying spatial collapse.

Siming conjured a mist to obstruct the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong's vision, seizing the opportunity to escape and transform his bone staff into armor.

The skull of the bone staff locked onto Siming's head, forming a helmet. Its spine extended to his back, becoming a backplate, and its ribs clasped across his chest, forming a breastplate. In an instant, Siming was fully armored, possessing the means for close-quarters combat with the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong.

But he knew this alone wasn't enough. He needed to capture or kill the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong to make way for the Yin-Yang Dao Fruit.

He couldn't achieve this by himself, so he quietly crushed an Emperor's Token, summoning the Central Heavenly Emperor to fight alongside him.

As the Emperor's Token shattered, a spatial vortex appeared. The Central Heavenly Emperor took a step forward, then quickly recoiled as if he had discovered something, and the spatial vortex vanished without a trace, leaving both the Revered Immortal Jiuzhong and Siming bewildered.

On the summit of the highest snow mountain outside Muxue City, a graceful figure leaned against the back of an imperial chair, watching the immortal battle in the city. When the spatial vortex disappeared, she let out a soft sigh.

"Did he sense my presence because I experienced some emotional fluctuation upon seeing the Central Heavenly Emperor appear?"
