Chapter 1051: Sincere Suggestion

Fang Jin’s suspicion about his own cultivation wasn't unfounded. From an outsider's perspective, Lu Yang's transformation process could easily be mistaken for something else. Only Meng Jingzhou knew the true absurdity behind it.

He still remembered Lu Yang eating half an acre of dirt outside his cave dwelling just to grow larger.

Meng Jingzhou, unable to bear Lu Yang stealing the spotlight, stomped his foot and scoffed, "Anyone can grow big!"

Immediately, a colossal Supreme Dharma Idol appeared, towering over the land. Clad in white, holding a weapon, it resembled a scholar who had cast aside his brush for the battlefield, drawing gasps of astonishment from the crowd.

"It's a Dharma Idol!"

"And one we've never seen before!"

Disciples of the Mountain-Shifting and Sea-Filling Sect had witnessed many battles between high-level cultivators and had seen or heard of numerous Dharma Idols, but they had never encountered the one Meng Jingzhou manifested.

The Supreme Pure Yang Dharma Idol was an evolution of the Pure Yang Dharma Idol, pushing it to a more extreme direction, and it was a Dharma Idol only Meng Jingzhou could master.

Two giants now stood in the Green Ox Mountain Range. Their mere presence created an oppressive aura tens of times stronger than that of the Twin Prodigies.

The two giants glared at each other, the atmosphere tense and filled with silent menace.

Then, the gigantic Lu Yang moved, slamming into a mountain and pushing it back to its original position.

Meng Jingzhou's Dharma Idol, meanwhile, scooped up a pile of dirt and piled it onto the flattened mountaintop.

With the two giants helping, the restoration progress was much faster than anticipated.

Sect Master Kong observed this scene with a thoughtful expression.

"These two have mastered the Dharma of Heaven and Earth and the Dharma Idol form before even reaching the Integration Stage. They are truly suited for our Mountain-Shifting and Sea-Filling Sect."

"It seems that Old Man Zhang's sending these two youngsters here wasn't solely for punishment, but also to refine their Dharma of Heaven and Earth and Dharma Idol forms."

"It appears Senior Brother Dai wasn't exaggerating when he praised these two junior brothers for their exceptional and rare talent," Fang Jin thought, secretly astonished. In his memory, no cultivator had ever managed to master the Dharma of Heaven and Earth while still in the Nascent Soul Stage.

Not even Daoist Lord Ten Thousand Laws, hailed as an unparalleled genius, could achieve it.

"But somehow, I always felt there was something off about Senior Brother Dai's tone when he praised them. Am I overthinking it?"

The disciples of the Mountain-Shifting and Sea-Filling Sect were already highly efficient, and with Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou's help, the Green Ox Mountain Range was restored to its original state in under two hours.

Upon returning to the sect, Fang Jin pondered for a moment, then wrote a letter to Dai Bufan, inquiring about the true situation with Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou.

Sect Master Kong summoned Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou to the back mountain. Stroking his beard, he found them increasingly agreeable the more he looked at them. "They are so well-suited for our Mountain-Shifting and Sea-Filling Sect," he mused, "what a pity they joined the Dao-Seeking Sect."

"I didn't expect you two to know the Dharma of Heaven and Earth and the Dharma Idol. That truly surprised me."

"Just now, I observed that your movements were a bit clumsy when moving the mountains. I assume you're not very familiar with these two great divine abilities."

Sect Master Kong, valuing their talent, was willing to teach Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou some techniques.

"Essentially, these two great divine abilities are similar: they both involve becoming giant and comprehensively enhancing oneself. However, it's natural to feel unaccustomed to such a transformation initially."

Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou nodded in unison; they had indeed felt it.

"As it happens, I have some experience with both of these great divine abilities and can impart some small tricks to you."

"Ultimately, the best way to improve is to use your Dharma Idols more often and undertake more large-scale restoration tasks. However, such tasks are rare. You'll only be here for two months, and if you're unlucky, you might not encounter any. But it's not a major issue; our sect has many different terrains, so practicing here is also an option..."

Just then, Fang Jin approached. "Master, we just received a task from the imperial court. Two cultivators in the early Integration Stage fought fiercely, turning a large mountain into a grassland and altering a river's course. The court has requested our sect to handle the aftermath."

Sect Master Kong was slightly surprised. "What a coincidence! This is exactly the kind of large-scale restoration task I was talking about. Little Lu, Little Meng, go practice with this one."

"Yes, Master."

On their way with Fang Jin, Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou learned the full story.

The cause was that one of the Integration Stage cultivators had auctioned off a mysterious jade slip at an auction, unaware of its origin, contents, or how to activate it. Another Integration Stage cultivator, however, recognized it as a legendary jade slip containing the inheritance of a Tribulation Transcending Stage cultivator and developed a desire to seize it after the auction.

The two then engaged in battle. Afterward, the imperial court arrested the latter Integration Stage cultivator on charges of robbery.

For such acts of self-defense, the imperial court would fund the clean-up, which in practice meant the Mountain-Shifting and Sea-Filling Sect would handle it.

Under Fang Jin's guidance, they used the Dharma of Heaven and Earth and their Dharma Idols to move mountains and alter river courses, completing the task perfectly.

"Sect Master Kong, we're done." Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou returned to the sect and continued their learning.

"Excellent, very fast. Where were we last time? Oh right, I was talking about the techniques for growing giant..."

"Master, a Void Refinement Stage cultivator successfully passed their tribulation and ascended to an Integration Stage True Monarch. However, during the lightning tribulation, they didn't anticipate that the originally six-layered tribulation would become nine-layered. The additional three layers destroyed the protective formation and devastated the landscape within a hundred-mile radius, turning a grassland into a desert. They've requested our assistance."

Sect Master Kong clicked his tongue. "Alright, you two go again. I'll teach you the techniques when you get back."

Lu Yang and Meng Jingzhou successfully completed the task. Just as they arrived at the entrance of the Mountain-Shifting and Sea-Filling Sect, they saw Sect Master Kong waiting for them, holding a piece of paper.

"Another task just came in," he announced. "Apparently, two Void Refinement Stage cultivators started fighting."

"These two Void Refinement Stage cultivators are half-brothers, both extraordinarily gifted, with auspicious signs at birth. The elder brother was born with an immortal bone in his finger, containing innate divine abilities, while the younger brother had a natural inborn physique. Their father, who genuinely loved the younger brother's mother, favored the younger son and transplanted the elder brother's immortal bone into the younger brother, granting him both the inborn physique and the immortal bone."

Lu Yang probably guessed what happened next. "Did the elder brother still rise without the immortal bone, then challenge the younger brother to prove he was the strongest?"

"No, not quite. The elder brother reported it to the authorities. The officials transplanted the immortal bone back and arrested their parents, who will likely remain imprisoned for life."

"The younger brother felt the elder brother had gone too far, and thus a feud began between them. Their conflicts escalated, finally erupting into a life-or-death duel in the Void Refinement Stage, despite the inherent uncertainties of that stage."

"Who wins or loses isn't our concern. You two go clean up the site."

"Understood."

Watching their retreating figures, Sect Master Kong stroked his beard, a strange glint in his eyes.

"Strange," he muttered. "There weren't so many high-level cultivator battles and large-scale restoration tasks before. Why are there suddenly so many lately?"

He hadn't even had a chance to teach them the little tricks he mentioned.

Meanwhile, Dai Bufan's reply to Fang Jin arrived. Fang Jin opened the envelope, only to find a single, earnest, and urgent piece of advice that utterly perplexed him.

"Quickly buy insurance for your sect!"
