Chapter 716: Everyone Is Happy

The auction hall was silent, so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. The starfield was in an uproar; the Earth branch of the Heaven-Stabbers had been taken down. How significant was this event? Yet, here he was, casually taking responsibility for it.

The more he acted this way, the more it seemed as if he was swinging a massive hand to deliver a resounding slap to the Heaven-Stabbers.

It should be noted that not long ago, the Heaven-Stabbers had formally declared to the star sea their intention to hunt Chu Feng, releasing official statements on their platforms with fierce rhetoric against him. As a result, Chu Feng responded with action that very night: he preemptively struck, completely razing a Heaven-Stabbers branch.

Evidently, the organization was in a dire situation. They had poured immense effort and resources into establishing that stronghold, only for it to be annihilated. Moreover, it was a profound public humiliation; they were slapped resoundingly in front of the entire world, before all beings in the universe. They couldn’t even conceal the truth. Didn’t they see the person on the high platform holding a press conference? Although his words were simple, just a single sentence expressing responsibility for the Wangwu Mountain incident, that was enough to drive the Heaven-Stabbers into a frenzy.

Anyone could imagine the fury of the organization’s high-ranking members; they were likely spitting fire from every orifice. This was an extreme humiliation. They had declared a hunt for Chu Feng, only for this hot-tempered demon to deliver a "grand gift" that very night, exacting revenge without even waiting until morning! This public slap was too loud, too painful for them.

This evening was particularly significant, with all eyes on the ongoing auction. For Chu Feng to hold a brief press conference in such a context, the impact was naturally astonishingly effective. This was truly unprecedented! The news spread immediately throughout the universe, and all races became aware of it.

From the high platform at the auction, Chu Feng spoke again: "Thank you, Celestial Race, for providing valuable information. Half the credit for destroying the Heaven-Stabbers belongs to you."

The Celestial Race: "I… [expletives omitted]."

Chu Feng’s sudden remark infuriated many members of the Celestial Race. Although they knew the demon Chu Feng was disingenuous and constantly challenged them, to outright lie and slander them so brazenly still provoked intense anger. They were not concerned about retaliation from the Heaven-Stabbers, as such a false accusation would never withstand scrutiny. It was widely known that the Celestial Race and Chu Feng were sworn enemies. Precisely for this reason, knowing full well that people wouldn't believe it, Chu Feng's casual spouting of such nonsense further irritated the Celestial Race; he was deliberately trying to disgust them.

Throughout the universe, many found themselves both amused and bewildered. Initially, people were quite shocked, as the Heaven-Stabbers had suffered a significant loss. But now, they felt like laughing, realizing this individual's press conference was rather unconventional.

Finally, Chu Feng delivered a concluding statement: "For the deceased, I offer my deep and sorrowful condolences. The dead are gone; I hope the living members of the Heaven-Stabbers take this as a warning."

Damn it! Many people were stunned, rendered speechless. This was an open provocation against the Heaven-Stabbers, a direct challenge to all cultivators across the universe!

At this very moment, in the major star systems, silence first reigned, then gave way to a frenzy of discussion. Countless cultivators were agitated beyond measure.

"Oh my, this demon truly has a short temper and acts so decisively! He immediately avenges grievances. Damn it, in the blink of an eye, while the auction was still underway, he wiped out a contingent of the Heaven-Stabbers. So domineering, and he even held a press conference!"

"Hush, quiet down, do you want to be targeted by the Dark Hunters? But truthfully, the Heaven-Stabbers truly disgraced themselves this time. They made such a huge declaration, everyone thought they were about to unleash a major attack, but instead, they themselves…"

Everyone knew this wouldn’t be the end of it. Chu Feng’s swift and domineering actions had momentarily stunned the Heaven-Stabbers, but a major event was surely on the horizon. The Heaven-Stabbers were feared even by the most powerful races in the starfield. For so many years, they had never declined, and their enduring existence spoke volumes about their formidable power.

In fact, at this very moment, murderous intent permeated every branch of the Dark Hunters organization. Indeed, some of them were utterly bewildered. After the news arrived, the Quasi-Saint-level hunter, in an uncontrollable rage, smashed an entire hall with a single slap and kicked a Golden Body-level mount to death. If one were to ask who was the most aggrieved, it would undoubtedly be him, as he had personally handled this matter, and everything that transpired tonight was a consequence of his decisions.

"With such a mindset, how can you achieve sainthood?"

Just then, an ancient and weathered voice abruptly echoed from the dark void, sending chills down the Quasi-Saint’s spine. He instantly became reverent, listening intently to the instruction. "It has happened. The remedy is to eliminate him." The ancient voice spoke simply. Then, from the darkness, a blurred creature departed into the starry sky.

The Quasi-Saint-level hunter wiped sweat from his forehead. He had not anticipated the appearance of an ultimate Dark Saint—an ancient being with the potential to illuminate all heavens! This was one of the Heaven-Stabbers' true trump cards, an entity that had always roamed the dark lands of chaos. To appear here today, on inspection, was astounding!

This night was destined to be anything but peaceful!

In the East Sea, there was singing and dancing, with Saintesses performing. There was no alternative; the great demon Chu’s reputation for ferocity was too overwhelming. He had merely "friendly" inquired if some Saintesses could showcase their talents for the guests, and they had nodded like chickens pecking rice, agreeing with astonishing speed. His short temper and particular style of action intimidated a group of Saint Sons and Saintesses who didn't know him well, leaving them feeling overwhelmed.

It was understood that the auction was nearing its conclusion. Most of them had been successfully bid on by their own clan members and were prepared to return home, finally escaping their plight. If they were to displease this great demon at the last minute, and he forcibly kept them, they would truly have nowhere to turn. This formidable reputation was precisely what Chu Feng had demonstrated through his actions.

The grand auction concluded with great satisfaction for everyone. All guests were pleased, every Saint Son and Saintess had been sold, and most of the mountain-like pile of secret treasures had been purchased.

The old donkey bared its teeth and howled at the moon: "My children, from now on, Six Paths Reincarnation Pills can be eaten like candies!" This instantly dampened the joy of the guests, Saint Sons, and Saintesses, who seethed with resentment, realizing this was their very "ransom money." The old donkey's words were, of course, exaggerated, but Chu Feng and his group genuinely reaped enormous gains this time. Once the Heaven-Reaching Wormhole Company delivered the Six Paths Reincarnation Pills, Celestial Nectar, Hell Ant Nectar, and other items, it wouldn't be just a jar or two, but a veritable mountain! At that point, even if their group were to squander it, there would still be more than enough!

Finally, the old ape swung his large staff and declared the auction closed. The big black ox’s face was flushed with joy, his typically dark complexion seemingly lighter. He enthusiastically hugged anyone he could, much to the guests' collective exasperation. Especially those who had bid on their own clan's Saint Sons and Saintesses; they literally wanted to beat him to death! The old donkey followed suit, coming over for hugs, his mouth constantly chattering his "four-character mantra" and taking advantage wherever he could. As a result, Ying Xiaoxiao beat him until his head was covered in bumps, and he kicked his heels, fleeing.

Under the moonlight, Chu Feng frequently clinked glasses with Ying Wudi and Yuan Shicheng, and their conversation progressed well. They intended to make a specific transaction: these two wanted to purchase the Divine Blood of No Calamity, Myriad Stars Treasure Blood, and Primordial Magnetic Saint Blood. They did not want the individuals, only the purest blood, as they knew Chu Feng was already refining the blood elixirs! Both explicitly stated their intention to take the blood back to their respective clans for alchemical refinement. They suspected that the three individuals had acquired their unique physiques by consuming immortal elixirs, and thus they sought to revert to the original source.

Ultimately, the three individuals, including Zhou Shang, were not sold. Chu Feng decided to keep them for further study, intending to at least extract the medicinal properties from the Myriad Stars Blood, because Yao Yao needed it! As for the Divine Blood of No Calamity and Primordial Magnetic Saint Blood, they could be given to his brothers to enhance their potential.

In the starfield, the Spirit Race grew anxious, as did the forces backing the Primordial Magnetic Saint Body. What surprised Chu Feng, however, was that a mysterious power in the starfield was also extremely concerned and agitated about the safety of the Divine Body of No Calamity. This made his eyes turn cold and ruthless. Was this Divine Body of No Calamity, Zhou Shang, truly from beyond the domain?

"No matter where you came from, everything you gained on Earth must be returned to me, and then I’ll cripple you. If that fails, I’ll chop up your useless bodies and sell them off!"

The Spirit Race was the most desperate. That night, they actually lowered their habitually proud heads and requested to speak with Chu Feng, stating that everything was negotiable and that any conditions could be discussed as long as the Myriad Stars Body was returned.

"Send me a basket of exotic fruits that can elevate one to the Golden Body level!" Chu Feng demanded outrageously. Even the Spirit Race, upon hearing such a demand, saw the face of their seasoned negotiator turn green. Did he really think those were as common as cabbages? "A basket isn't possible, but sending a few pieces is no problem," the Spirit Race said humbly, genuinely terrified that the Myriad Stars Body would be destroyed. At this point, they were willing to discuss any conditions. The Spirit Race representative then advised, "Young friend, you won't need Golden Body level fruits for now. You should know that the Eating Clouds and Shaping realms require years of tempering; it takes a long time to forge a Golden Body. No one can take shortcuts!"

"Are you kidding me?" Chu Feng retorted, without preamble. "Isn't there an opportunity in the Great Dream Pure Land to experience a hundred years of cultivation in a single night?" The Spirit Race representative pursed their lips, thinking to themselves, "Do you even deserve such an opportunity? You're not qualified to enter. If you truly dare to appear in the Great Dream Pure Land, you'll undoubtedly be captured on the spot and sliced for research!"

"I'm telling you, send a basket of high-quality Golden Body level exotic fruits, or there's nothing to discuss! And they must be of high quality; don't bother sending inferior or damaged ones!" Ultimately, Chu Feng temporarily rebuffed the Spirit Race with these difficult-to-accept conditions.

Overall, this auction was a success for all parties. At the very least, a group of Saint Sons and Saintesses were able to leave alive, and Chu Feng’s group also acquired a substantial amount of resources.

Three days later, various bottles and jars were successively delivered into the folded space in the East Sea, with the Heaven-Reaching Wormhole Company notifying Chu Feng to collect them. Each time Chu Feng received a batch of grand medicines, scriptures, and other resources, he would "express mail" a Saintess or Saint Son away. On each occasion, he would warmly pat their shoulder and say, "Have a good journey, we'll see each other again in the universe!" Every Saint Son and Saintess sent on their way remained silent, cursing him a hundred times in their hearts and vowing never to see him again in this lifetime. Yet, facts are wonderfully strange, and a day of reunion might well come in the near future.

Ten days later, the "goods and payment" were settled. All races paid a hefty price to have the Heaven-Reaching Wormhole Company open super wormholes, hoping to quickly rescue the Saintesses and Saint Sons they valued. Immortal Mountain was filled with laughter and joy. They had acquired so many resources that they could never have afforded them if they had tried to purchase them directly.

"Whoo-whoo..." The horn of war sounded, its terrifying blast echoing boundlessly outside Earth. It was a strange horn, wailing like a vengeful ghost. The star sea trembled. Upon hearing the news, someone immediately recognized it: this was a Dark Dynasty under the Heaven-Stabbers, a very powerful force of theirs that had descended upon Earth! No figures were visible, only the sound of the war horn reverberated.

The Dark Dynasty under the Heaven-Stabbers had arrived. This was a summons for assassins, and countless hunters would swarm in to carry out their deadly work.

"They're utterly arrogant!" the big black ox roared. "They're just assassins, yet they dare to wage war and openly blow their war horns?!"

"Seeking death!" Ouyang Feng declared bluntly.

Chu Feng reviewed the data. After querying information about the Dark Dynasty under the Heaven-Stabbers via his optical computer, a grave expression appeared on his face.

"Such a blatant display means a major figure has surely arrived," the Northeast Tiger said. "It might even be a Dark Saint. What should we do?!"

"Naturally, we'll annihilate them all!" Chu Feng stated.
