Chapter 714: Only One Person Overthrows the Land of Darkness

Under the watery moonlight, Chu Feng had traveled tens of thousands of miles. After the world’s great changes, the land had become incredibly vast, its area dramatically increased; however, with his current speed, this distance was nothing. Especially, as he had the Green Bamboo Boat for transport, he quickly crossed the sea, journeying deep inland until he was close to Mount Wangwu.

This night was destined for major events!

Moonlight illuminated the mountains and forests, covering the entire range in a silver glow. Tall peaks, cascading waterfalls, and mighty rivers all shimmered with a hazy luminescence, appearing sacred.

Mount Wangwu was in sight!

Since ancient times, this place has been steeped in legends, renowned as the foremost of all grotto-heavens.

Late at night, the mountain forest was far from peaceful. Wild beasts howled, and exotic creatures from folded spaces roared. Fierce raptors, with wings spread like dark clouds, could be seen blocking out the starlight, casting vast shadows across the ground. This was a primeval landscape, as Mount Wangwu had merged with folded spaces, transforming it beyond its former state.

Chu Feng arrived in the dead of night, his face etched with cold killing intent. In his right hand, he held a large banner that pulsed with a hazy, blood-red glow, mesmerizing and sinister—it was the God-Transforming Blood Banner!

This was a formidable weapon. Tonight, he had not come for pleasantries, but to unleash a massacre, to suppress and eliminate the branch established by the so-called Dark Overlords. He cared nothing for their name, "Stab the Firmament"! Since they were already adversaries, he would fight them to the bitter end and slaughter them all! In Chu Feng’s mind, the enemy had already declared war, so he would show no mercy. He would go all out, employing every possible means to annihilate them. Even though he came alone, he regarded this engagement as a full-scale war! It was a lone warrior against a dark lineage!

In the cover of night, he strode silently through the forest, his killing intent tightly reined in. He moved like an ancient, fierce tiger, master of slaughter, poised to begin its hunt across all realms. Chu Feng, now appearing as a tall adult, had long black hair flowing freely and deep-set eyes that concealed all his killing intent. He did not wish to prematurely alert this dark lineage’s branch. Instead, he intended to approach like a hunter, using their own methods to slaughter them, wiping out both their training camp and their veteran assassins.

Mount Wangwu now boasted spiritual peaks rising one after another, with purple qi steaming upwards, subtly hinting at a hidden dragon ascending to the heavens! Standing on this land, observing the shimmering radiance and incredibly dense energy, Chu Feng narrowed his eyes, listening and sensing intently. In the distance, fierce birds and beasts growled. Demonic apes, tens of meters tall, stood atop mountains, roaring at the moon, while silver raptors swooped down to attack mammoths emerging from folded spaces. In the dead of night, this blessed land appeared hazy and sacred, yet the mountain air carried the distinct scent of blood. This was advantageous, facilitating Chu Feng's approach and making his assassination and sweep of the area more convenient.

As he entered the strategic heart of Mount Wangwu, he paused, momentarily lost in thought. He recalled that when the world’s great changes first began, this very place had been conquered by the master of Biyou Palace, one of the three major alien organizations. Afterward, Chu Feng hadn't paid it any mind, so he was unaware of the situation since the assassin organization had taken control.

Furthermore, Mount Wangwu contained secret realms inhabited by ancient remnants. However, it was likely that even if "Stab the Firmament" personnel arrived now, they wouldn't dare venture deep into those realms. After all, the world hadn't fully recovered, making it difficult for Golden Body level cultivators to enter. Most likely, there were indeed masters of that caliber within the secret realms! Chu Feng searched for a long time but couldn't locate the entrance to the secret realm. "I hope the people in the secret realm are safe!" he murmured to himself. After all, during his battle with the Son of Heaven God in Kunlun, the remnants from both the Mount Wangwu and Himalayan secret realms had sided with him and offered their aid.

Under the moonlit night, Chu Feng, like a lone wolf carrying a chilling aura, ventured solo into this region, penetrating the strategic heart of Mount Wangwu! Soon, he discovered several human skeletons, already months dead. His gaze sharpened. The clothing and relics found on the bones unequivocally proved that these were native evolvers, humans born on Earth. "The people of Biyou Palace have all been wiped out!" Chu Feng deduced, noting communication devices and other items among the relics that were exclusive to the three alien organizations.

Deep within Mount Wangwu, the mountains stood majestically, ancient trees formed vast groves, and silver waterfalls cascaded down. Under the moonlight, the scene was both grand and exquisitely beautiful. He saw buildings and detected figures. These were clearly not native evolvers but beings from beyond this domain, identifiable by their bat-like wings. This was a branch of the Winged Race, considered a formidable species. They possessed fleshy wings, allowing them to soar through the sky or burrow into the earth when spread. Their physical bodies were robust, and in combat, they reveled in tearing apart evolvers of equal standing.

"It's the Silver Wing lineage of the Winged Race!" Chu Feng, now increasingly knowledgeable about cosmic races, recognized their identity. Relatively speaking, the Silver Wing lineage had a decent reputation and weren't overly bloodthirsty. However, their combat prowess was immense; once provoked, they would fight their adversaries to the death. "As expected, they found a clan that can operate openly to provide cover," Chu Feng thought, his killing intent surging. Since this Silver Wing clan was allied with "Stab the Firmament" and served as their external forces, Chu Feng had no reservations; he would kill them without hesitation.

However, he did not act immediately. His primary targets were the dark hunters themselves! Chu Feng moved forward like an experienced lone wolf, traversing the forest and deftly avoiding this group of people. The God-Transforming Blood Banner in his hand pulsed with a terrifying aura. In the deepest reaches of Mount Wangwu, the energy density was astonishingly high. As expected, something strange was afoot: a field had been set up, and phantom-like figures lurked in the shadows. Their breathing technique was highly unusual, as if they were one with the mountains. On the surface, nothing was discernible, but within their bodies pulsed sun-like clusters of light, contained deep within their flesh. Their true strength was completely undetectable by ordinary individuals, allowing them to conceal themselves remarkably well.

Evidently, the Heavenly Horse Race had not lied; the information was reliable and accurate. A group of "Stab the Firmament" personnel were indeed concealed here. Chu Feng activated the Dao Induction Breathing Technique, suppressing his life aura as he watched them. He too melted into the night, moving stealthily through the area, searching for the strongest individual present. The God-Transforming Blood Banner was reserved for that very individual! Otherwise, under normal circumstances, he would never easily reveal this weapon!

With Chu Feng's now rare divine sense on Earth, it was only after a prolonged period of observation that he detected a fluctuation so faint it was almost imperceptible. Much later, he finally pinpointed an old man hidden in a patch of woodland. He did not act, but frowned and sensed again. Soon after, he discovered two more astonishingly powerful beings, comparable to the old man. There were three veteran assassins, each nearing the Golden Body level and far surpassing others of their rank. The energy within their bodies pulsed with incredible vitality, though none of it leaked outwards. Indeed, "Stab the Firmament" clearly held this location in high regard, planning significant operations here.

Then, Chu Feng silently began placing magnetic stones in the distant forest, setting up a field with the intention of letting no one escape. Time was short, so he didn't have time to establish a complex, large-scale field, but what he set up would be sufficient to block these individuals. Besides the three elders, there were seventy to eighty other individuals, predominantly young. Their talents were astonishing; all were promising prospects. Clearly, the young hunters dispatched to this recovering land were elites highly valued by "Stab the Firmament," given the opportunity to rapidly evolve here. This was because Earth, currently undergoing recovery, was a unique and prized location in the eyes of young evolvers from all races!

"Time to send you on your way!" Finally, Chu Feng moved, like a phantom, silently approaching the old man's position before exploding into a fierce assault. In his hands, the God-Transforming Blood Banner was wielded like a spear. With the great banner fluttering, he gripped it with both hands and thrust it directly at his target!

It must be said, the veteran hunter dispatched by "Stab the Firmament" was incredibly formidable and keenly perceptive. He actually sensed Chu Feng’s aura at the crucial moment and swiftly dodged. This was primarily because, as a hunter who operated in the shadows, he was supremely skilled in various assassination techniques, allowing him to immediately detect the threat. Concurrently, his personal strength was truly exceptional; he was regarded as one of "Stab the Firmament's" gold-tier master instructors in the sculpting realm, specifically sent here to establish the training camp. In the blink of an eye, he dodged the fatal blow, which considerably surprised Chu Feng.

However, Chu Feng was well prepared. He unleashed one of his most potent techniques: a stone cave materialized from his left hand, forming a terrifying black vortex that almost sucked the old man inside. This was because Chu Feng had a contingency plan, having anticipated the old man’s likely escape route. The instant his initial strike missed, he immediately followed through. The old assassin's face changed, and divine light blazed in his chilling eyes. He tried to ascend like a great roc, seeking to escape first. However, the terrifying stone cave severely hampered his speed, creating a perfect opportunity for Chu Feng.

The God-Transforming Blood Banner in Chu Feng's hand swept across, its fluttering surface directly covering the spot. It was crucial to remember this was not a mere spear, but a formidable banner. The old man was horrified; the moment the blood banner neared, his essence blood began to evaporate—it was utterly terrifying. The next instant, his entire body erupted with light, unleashing all his killer moves. However, many of his artifacts were swallowed by the stone cave, rendering them useless. The banner’s surface enveloped him, instantly debilitating him as his vital energy rapidly drained away; he could not withstand such a profound absorption. Simultaneously, Chu Feng used his mental energy to activate the God-Transforming Blood Banner, while his right hand unleashed a divine technique from the Yang realm: the Lightning Fist! A surge of energy boiled, and light flared intensely. The old assassin's body was pierced and enveloped by the blood banner, causing him to shrivel instantly as he let out a horrific, drawn-out howl. He exploded with a bang, meeting a violent end.

With a whoosh, Chu Feng put away the God-Transforming Blood Banner, replaced it with the Reincarnation Blade, and darted like lightning toward another location, intent on killing his second target. However, he was displeased that he hadn't killed the first target with a single blow, having instead alerted the others. Nevertheless, he was fearless. Having just successfully transcended his tribulation, his strength had vastly improved, and this was the perfect opportunity to test his newfound power!

Sharp whistling sounds erupted, and figures surged throughout the area as all the assassins emerged, searching for the intruder. By the time they noticed, Chu Feng was already locked in fierce combat with the second elder, and terrifying crimson blade light tore through the night's tranquility. The third powerful veteran assassin was naturally alerted and swiftly rushed to aid, transforming into a streak of black light as he lunged forward, intent on joining the encirclement to kill Chu Feng. Simultaneously, the other assassins finally caught sight of Chu Feng. Even though they were seasoned assassins, ruthless individuals who knew how to control their emotions, some young hunters were utterly shocked at this moment, even crying out in disbelief. "It's him, Chu Feng!" They had every reason to be shocked. Not long ago, Chu Feng had eliminated their organization's seed-level hunters in the East Sea and even furiously confronted a Dark Saint—news they were already aware of. Furthermore, orders had arrived from the starry sky to lie low, await commands, and prepare to join powerful reinforcements in hunting Chu Feng at any moment. How could they have imagined that in such a short time, Chu Feng would stealthily infiltrate their location and launch a preemptive strike, all occurring on the very same night!

In this moment, Chu Feng unleashed his full power. With no further need for concealment, his aura surged like a raging sea, his vital energy boiled like volcanic magma, and an explosive force swept through the area. The Lightning Fist tore through the firmament. The light from the Reincarnation Blade made the very heavens and earth seem to fade into oblivion. An elder’s head flew, his body collapsing. Among the group who had just charged forward to ambush Chu Feng, seven or eight also fell, their heads flying off one after another as blood spattered everywhere.

The commotion was immense, alarming the entirety of Mount Wangwu. Under the night moon, Chu Feng appeared as a great demon god, utterly ruthless. His blade light was blinding, and his fist prints were grand and mighty as he slaughtered in all directions. He charged through, leaving a trail of corpses underfoot, blood splattering. Those struck by the Reincarnation Blade rapidly dissolved, while those hit by his fist prints were torn into pieces, their remains scattering.

This was a massacre, a slaughter targeting the dark hunters from the starry sky, as these cold-blooded assassins became his prey!
