Chapter 641: Suppressing Impulses

This provocation was more than an ordinary person could bear. The two shared an unspeakable past, and hearing such words nearly sent Qin Luoyin into a rage.

Yet Chu Feng remained nonchalant, completely unfazed, simply because he was unaware of the hidden truth and was merely speaking casually. Little did he know, Qin Luoyin was engaged in a fierce struggle in reality, almost screaming in protest, trying to refine a life form, but found herself utterly miserable as her efforts proved futile.

Qin Luoyin was no ordinary woman; her fair face gleamed like white jade. In a calm tone, she listed eight major offenses committed by Chu Feng, painting him as so utterly wicked that it seemed a crime against nature not to eradicate him. As the flawless goddess in the eyes of young evolvers from all races, she possessed an extraordinary charisma, and her words carried such weight that they were perceived as absolute truth.

Then, Qin Luoyin's brow began to glow as she prepared to unleash a secret technique from the Great Dream Pure Land. Though her skin was like ice and her bones like jade, a powerful surge of energy emanated from her body. A sacred radiance enveloped her, making her skin appear even more luminous. Her purple hair danced around her, her eyes became hazy, then suddenly flared with divine light, and she prepared to strike Chu Feng.

However, within her womb, the little Daoist was also stirring, his emotions mirroring her intense fluctuations. Though veiled by a mysterious mist, preventing him from perceiving the external reality, he could sense that he was drawing closer to his "daddy" and that his "mommy" was growing increasingly "agitated." Consequently, he too became excited. His excitement caused the mist he had carried from the Reincarnation Cave to swirl, leading to a flush spreading across Qin Luoyin's porcelain-white, delicate face. She stumbled backward, then instinctively placed a hand on her lower abdomen.

What was happening? All the evolvers looked on with suspicion. What had come over their perfect goddess? Many had anticipated a fierce battle between titans, only to see Qin Luoyin's body encounter an unexpected problem.

Qin Luoyin's heart pounded, and her jade-like face burned with heat. She vowed that upon returning to the Great Dream Pure Land, she would seek assistance from the female saint who knew her secret, to help her eradicate the troublesome life within her, as she could no longer keep it hidden. When the female saint had rescued her that day, she had already divined the complicated entanglement between Qin Luoyin and Chu Feng. Despite being enraged enough to wish she could flay Chu Feng alive in purgatory, she ultimately couldn't change the past and could only help conceal it. Qin Luoyin had never dared to confess to the female saint that she might be carrying a child, finding it too difficult to speak of. But now, it seemed that continuing to conceal the truth would lead to major complications.

Chu Feng spoke dismissively, almost casually: "I told you already, don't upset the baby. Go back and rest quietly."

Upon hearing his words again, a few people exchanged curious glances. While they had initially dismissed his claims, a seed of doubt was now planted. Could there truly be something between these two? If this news were authentic, it would be a universe-shattering headline, likely to break the hearts of countless young evolvers across all races, who would undoubtedly wish to flay Chu Feng alive. However, as Qin Luoyin regained her composure, the doubts of the few dissipated. They concluded that such a notion was utterly impossible, sheer nonsense. The successor of the Great Dream Pure Land was of such pristine and lofty standing, how could she possibly be involved with an Earth native? Many shook their heads, refusing to believe it.

Yet, at that very moment, the usually calm Chu Feng shivered after uttering those words. A sudden thought struck him: could Qin Luoyin actually be pregnant?! Initially, he hadn't given it much thought. But seeing Qin Luoyin's reaction, and then observing her sudden stumble and the way her hand went to her lower abdomen—it sent a chill down his spine! This was a formidable adversary, and he had never anticipated any actual consequences from their past encounter. Yet, in that fleeting moment, a strange premonition intensely unsettled him.

Oh, damn it all! He wanted to curse. If this were truly happening, the implications would be unimaginable, and their relationship would become incredibly complicated. Chu Feng immediately sent a telepathic message, his heart pounding even harder than Qin Luoyin's. He secretly asked, "Have you been craving sour foods lately, or felt nauseous and an urge to vomit?" Hearing his clumsy probing, Qin Luoyin was so enraged she wanted to crush him. Her eyes practically shot daggers as she silently cursed and berated Chu Feng.

"Something's going on! Both of you look guilty. Are you communicating telepathically? Did something actually happen?" The silver-haired little girl, Ying Xiaoxiao, blinked her large, innocent eyes, but her words were surprisingly bold.

By then, Qin Luoyin had regained her composure, appearing ethereal and transcendent. Every inch of her skin radiated a sacred glow, making her look gracefully aloof and untouched by earthly concerns, causing many to feel inadequate in her presence.

"Chu Feng, you are shameless! If you dare to tarnish my reputation again, do not expect me to be merciful. I will start by targeting the very place you once resided, stopping violence with violence, and using blood to uphold my dignity."

Chu Feng was utterly speechless upon hearing these words. The two had a complicated past, yet she so dearly guarded her reputation, burdened by her image as a pristine goddess. She dared not reveal the slightest hint of their past intimacy, even though she had come to despise him and was now on the verge of madness, she still maintained a dignified, inviolable demeanor. This was truly the "saintess affliction" common among supreme sects. It was likely that even figures like Ying Zhexian, Vermilion Bird Fairy, or Yuan Yuan would be no different; they would never dare to reveal "scandalous affairs" for the sake of their own sect's supreme dignity and sanctity, solely to preserve their reputation. For top sects and invincible lineages to be so constrained by their illustrious reputations was indeed quite something.

Chu Feng smiled, saying, "Fairy, you worry too much. Our relationship is quite good, after all; we’ve shared life and death, both escaping from purgatory. I believe we can maintain that connection and be lifelong confidantes. There's no need for us to be mortal enemies."

Qin Luoyin's face remained divinely serene, but internally she was seething. Maintain their previous relationship, continuing the ambiguous entanglement? She almost wanted to attack Chu Feng immediately and fight him to the death. She knew he was deliberately provoking her with his feigned sincerity. She vehemently refuted Chu Feng, condemning him for his myriad evils and for humiliating the divine sons and saintesses of various races. She declared that the cosmic orthodoxies would never forgive him, and that if he truly wished to repent, he should now bind himself and beg for punishment.

Suddenly, the little Daoist in her womb stirred once more. Having waited for a long time without sensing his "mommy" drawing closer to his "daddy," he began to fuss again. At that moment, Qin Luoyin nearly let out a sound, but she ultimately suppressed it, standing quietly with her robes fluttering, appearing like a true immortal descended to the mortal realm. A divine glow permeated her, making her skin appear even more crystalline and flawless, and her face radiated such sacred brilliance that she seemed on the verge of transforming into a true goddess.

For a fleeting moment, Chu Feng sensed it: as the little Daoist stirred, the wisp of energy enveloping him fluctuated, revealing a brief vulnerability. This instantly filled Chu Feng with surprise and uncertainty.

At that moment, the Primordial Magnetic Saint Body spoke up, saying, "Alright, Fairy Qin, allow me to teach him a lesson. Of course, this must be a fair duel, without reliance on external objects. Chu Feng, do you dare to fight me?!" The Destined Immortal Body also immediately spoke: "Chu Feng, you are a notable figure; why hide behind a mask? Didn't you once attack me? Come, let's fight!"

The two evolvers, renowned for their exceptional physiques, simultaneously challenged Chu Feng to a duel. This further astonished the onlookers: for a chosen one from a declining planet to be regarded as a formidable adversary by some of the strongest young masters in the cosmic starry sky was indeed a terrifying prospect.

Chu Feng placed a hand on his bronze mask, as if poised to rip it off and reveal his true face. A gasp rippled through the crowd. Despite their mental preparation, everyone was still tense, their eyes unblinking, fixated on him. Was it truly him? The truth was about to be revealed.

However, Chu Feng lowered his hand again, saying, "I am so incomparably handsome and invincible, I'd best not reveal my immortal form and Daoist bones, lest you all feel inferior. Until we meet again, if fate allows!" This was clearly intentional, meant to tease everyone. Despite many having already guessed his identity, he remained brazenly unconcerned, adamantly refusing to reveal his true face. Paradoxically, this very act caused some to genuinely doubt their initial guesses. Had they been wrong? Was he intentionally creating confusion, making them believe he was Chu Feng, when in reality... he wasn't?!

Reactions varied among the crowd. Princess Yuan Yuan of the Primordial Demon Race, who had been furious earlier, was now no longer enraged; instead, her large eyes darted about with extreme charm. Meanwhile, Xu Chengxian, the Myriad Star Physique, was both shamed and incensed. He was the first to charge forward, intent on seizing the Cosmic Mother Gold bracelet and fighting Chu Feng to the death.

Chu Feng offered a faint smile, acting on impulse. He pointed his Reincarnation Blade forward and declared, "This time, why don't all of you come at me at once!" He pointed his blade, in turn, at the Myriad Star Physique, the Primordial Magnetic Saint Body, the Destined Immortal Body, and others!

The Myriad Star Physique charged, his stellar light surging as he launched an assault on Chu Feng. The Primordial Magnetic Saint Body sneered coldly; he would not tolerate anyone pointing a long blade at him, and so he made his move. The Destined Immortal Body, however, showed some restraint, striking with a palm from a distance across the sky.

"Attack!"

Just then, a shout echoed from afar as several groups of elders charged forward, aiming to block Chu Feng's escape route.

"Farewell!"

Chu Feng waved a hand, drawing in the stellar brilliance from the Myriad Star Physique and the energy from the Primordial Magnetic Saint Body, integrating them into the Kunlun mountains. He activated various force fields to obstruct the approaching elders, then boarded his green bamboo boat and vanished.

"The true battle has begun!" Chu Feng's voice boomed from the void. This warning stunned everyone, even causing powerful elder figures from the Celestial, Netherworld, Spirit, and Xilin races, among others, to grow wary. Learning from past lessons, they all remained on high alert, fearing a surprise attack from the Reincarnation Fire. The Destined Immortal Body and Myriad Star Physique were, of course, no exceptions. However, the mountains remained empty. After a long wait, Chu Feng did not reappear; he had escaped.

"To flee without a fight, how shameful!"

In truth, the group felt great shame. Intimidated by the Reincarnation Fire, they had not dared to search for him decisively, thus allowing him to escape.

Shortly after, Chu Feng returned, still intending to enter the Land of Ten Thousand Gods. He had come seeking opportunities and did not wish to become a public target. His brief, high-profile appearance was enough; he was already satisfied with having killed Luofu, the Netherworld God Son, and others. His next goal was to quietly amass wealth and power by unearthing immortal medicines and acquiring supreme combat techniques in the deepest parts of this pure land. He desired to evolve rapidly and strengthen himself quickly.

Guards were stationed at the entrance, yet they failed to stop him. He quietly re-entered the Land of Ten Thousand Gods, concealing his presence and heading directly to a crucial location.

"Within this pure land, there's another secret realm — that's where the gods truly dwell, a divine homeland, perhaps?!"

Chu Feng explored along the way, discovering a small pathway of energy fields. He stealthily followed it, approaching a mysterious location—another dimensional space—where white mist billowed and auspicious light flowed, creating an exceptionally sacred atmosphere. Then, he was stunned. In the distance, he saw a small tree, taller than a man, bearing a single red fruit. It was crystal clear and seemed to drip with vitality, shimmering with flowing light and flashing runes. Even from a fleeting glance, he immediately recognized it as an immortal medicine, a supreme treasure tree bearing a priceless fruit.

With a whoosh, Chu Feng dashed inside. He had to obtain it. He wasn't sure of the fruit's specific effects, knowing that some could induce instantaneous evolution and rapid power surges, while others bestowed extraordinary physical constitutions, leading to immense transformations. Immortal medicines varied widely, with some categories possessing peculiar, elusive effects that were difficult to describe clearly.

A field rune flashed, and the treasure tree vanished. Chu Feng was taken aback; this true dwelling of deities was indeed extraordinary, and something peculiar lurked within this sacred ground. Where was the immortal tree?! He cautiously explored, his heart tense. He desperately wanted to pluck that fruit, vaguely sensing its immense importance to him. Such a powerful elixir was priceless; across the starry sky, some would willingly trade entire life-bearing planets for it, for it was a peerless divine treasure.
