Chapter 62: Jiang Luoshen

Lin Luoyi's body glowed as she hovered high in the air. The mountain wind ruffled her clothes and swept her long hair upwards as she looked down.

The Silver-Winged Celestial was covered in blood; even his gleaming silver hair was matted and stained crimson. His body bore many shocking wounds.

The two stood side by side, suspended above White Snake Ridge, both possessing extraordinary auras. Even the wounded Celestial remained remarkably striking.

Chu Feng stood on the mountainside, holding a large bow, silently watching the sky. The distance was too great to effectively shoot the Silver-Winged Celestial.

This was the advantage of being able to fly: even if defeated, one could retreat to a high altitude, beyond the reach of even the strongest ground-based fighters.

For a moment, neither side spoke, as if in a standoff.

Many extraordinary beings on White Snake Ridge watched with interest.

Lin Luoyi was tall with fair skin, but her demeanor was too cold. Her exquisite, flawless face seemed carved from ice and snow, and her beautiful eyes were deep.

She did not want to be an enemy of the person below. If it hadn't been for Mu, such an incident would never have occurred today, causing significant losses for Heaven's God Biological.

Even the Silver-Winged Celestial had narrowly escaped being shot down.

A halo of light enveloped Lin Luoyi, slowly rising and carrying the Silver-Winged Celestial with her to an even higher altitude, avoiding surprise attacks from the terrifying bone arrows.

"Are you alright?" She tilted her head, her snow-white neck gleaming, her long hair fluttering. Her eyes focused on the Silver-Winged Celestial, examining his horrific arrow wounds.

The Silver-Winged Celestial shook his head.

On his body, some wounds were clearly visible through and through, such as a large tear in his silver wing, indicating a critical injury.

Other wounds, though temporarily closed, were even more severe. For instance, a bone arrow had pierced his chest, leaving it heavily stained with blood.

Lin Luoyi took out a crystal vial containing some purple liquid. After uncorking it, she poured it onto several of the Silver-Winged Celestial's more severe wounds.

It had a miraculous effect: the blood stopped seeping, the wounds sealed, and a subtle fragrance diffused into the air.

After obtaining some extraordinary fruits, Heaven's God Biological had made groundbreaking advancements in genetic pharmaceuticals, developing several secret remedies.

Several other extraordinary beings capable of flight appeared, all possessing wings, and encircled Lin Luoyi and the Silver-Winged Celestial.

In truth, they were already at a considerable height, making it difficult for arrows, guns, or other projectiles to reach them.

Soon, people from Bodhi Gene arrived. Some of their extraordinary beings could fly and confronted Lin Luoyi's group, while others approached Chu Feng.

Ding Sitong appeared, walking with light steps, protected by a group of people. She moved through the mountain forest and emerged not far from Chu Feng.

In the mountains, many extraordinary beings looked surprised upon seeing this and began to whisper amongst themselves.

They sensed that Bodhi Gene intended to recruit Chu Feng and was now trying to curry favor.

In the distance, a thin man with slicked-back hair, hiding on a mountain peak, couldn't help but exclaim, "My goddess!"

Zhou Quan was both excited and astonished. He hadn't left, watching the battle from afar. Initially, he was worried about Chu Feng, but after witnessing his valiant performance, his jaw nearly dropped.

Now, seeing the 'National Goddess' Ding Sitong heading in Chu Feng's direction, Zhou Quan became even more agitated.

"He's the Ox Deity King, and I'm also a member of the Ox family," Zhou Quan mumbled, touching the small horns hidden within his slicked-back hair. For the first time, he didn't find them so unsightly.

In fact, he even found them somewhat pleasing to the eye.

In the forest, Chu Feng remained vigilant. He wished to keep his distance from both Heaven's God Biological and Bodhi Gene.

Such powerful conglomerates were unfathomable; getting too close to them made it difficult to tell if it would bring fortune or misfortune.

If Mu hadn't targeted him and the Silver-Winged Celestial hadn't tried to kill him, he would have left quietly long ago, without causing such a huge stir.

"Jiang Luoshen." From high in the sky, Lin Luoyi spoke, looking at the group below.

Many extraordinary beings were puzzled. Who was Jiang Luoshen?

Following her gaze, it seemed to be... Ding Sitong.

Indeed, Ding Sitong responded with a charming smile, saying, "Are you Lin Luoyi?"

Many were astonished. The 'National Goddess' had another name, Jiang Luoshen?

A few who knew the inside story quietly informed those around them that her real name was indeed Jiang Luoshen, and Ding Sitong was merely her stage name.

The Jiang family, a significant member of Bodhi Gene, required their descendants to maintain a low profile to avoid controversy.

Everyone suddenly understood!

While the name 'Luoshen' (Goddess of the Luo River) was undeniably beautiful, it wasn't suitable for just anyone.

Clearly, this young woman from the Jiang family possessed such grace; otherwise, she wouldn't have earned the title 'National Goddess' in such a short time.

"You're too eager." From high in the sky, Lin Luoyi spoke, her voice clear, exquisite, and cold. She tidied her beautiful hair, her gaze fixed below.

Her words were simple, intended only as a subtle warning to the Ox Deity King. A few words were enough; saying too much would be counterproductive.

It had originally been a good hand, but Mu had messed it up, leading to such a disastrous situation.

Mu was dead, and the Silver-Winged Celestial was severely wounded. Lin Luoyi naturally wouldn't try to curry favor with the Ox Deity King, but she also didn't want to see Bodhi Gene recruit him.

"Are you worried?" Jiang Luoshen chuckled, her smile radiant. Her stunning beauty caused many young men to momentarily lose their focus.

She was composed and spoke few words, making no secret of her intent to win over the Ox Deity King, and directly pointed out Lin Luoyi's concerns.

For Lin Luoyi, this was indeed a predicament. Should they continue their relentless feud with the Ox Deity King? It was absolutely unsuitable now; otherwise, the losses could be even greater.

Recruiting him? That was also impossible. Mu's terrible move had left anyone picking up the pieces feeling helpless.

High in the sky, Lin Luoyi remained calm, looking at Jiang Luoshen. She said, "A smile that topples cities... I forgot to congratulate you."

Many extraordinary beings were puzzled but quickly understood.

Many already knew that the 'National Goddess' was also an extraordinary being, whose abilities were similar to the mythical Nine-Tailed White Fox. Her strength was formidable, and more importantly, she could enchant the world!

Lin Luoyi spoke subtly, 'a smile that topples cities,' then 'another smile that topples nations.' Was she implying the boundless allure of the mythical Nine-Tailed White Fox, warning the Ox Deity King to be cautious?

She spoke casually, leaving it up to individual interpretation.

Jiang Luoshen remained unconcerned. With exceptional grace and light steps, she walked towards Chu Feng.

She approached him directly, inviting Chu Feng to join Bodhi Gene, frankly stating she had come for him. Her smile was captivating.

Chu Feng felt a strange sensation. After the dramatic changes to the world, everything had become more mysterious. Extraordinary beings were emerging frequently; could even the abilities of the mythical Nine-Tailed White Fox be real?

"Goddess, I would naturally be delighted by your invitation, but today, I truly don't wish to stay in this place any longer. I want to leave immediately."

Chu Feng was remarkably calm, even adding a touch of playful banter.

"How about you give me a business card, and I'll treat you to tea another day?"

Many showed surprise. Asking the 'National Goddess' for her business card and inviting her for tea later—he spoke with such ease and openness.

The people from Heaven's God Biological felt slightly relieved. They could tell the Ox Deity King was politely declining, seemingly uninterested in joining Bodhi Gene.

"Certainly, here is my business card." To everyone's surprise, Jiang Luoshen smiled brightly and gracefully handed over a business card.

One of the extraordinary beings took it and jogged over to deliver it to Chu Feng.

"Alright, when you have some free time, I'll treat you." Chu Feng said, then turned and left without hesitation. Since he couldn't shoot down the Silver-Winged Celestial, there was no point in staying.

At the same time, he didn't want to get involved in the conflict between the two behemoths, Heaven's God Biological and Bodhi Gene. He needed to leave quickly, restore his true form, and then he could remain outside the whirlpool of events.

"Brother, here's my business card." At that moment, someone chased after him. It was Zhou Yitian, excitedly chattering behind Chu Feng.

Chu Feng turned, saw it was him, and immediately ran off. He certainly didn't want to star in some 'Ancient Battle Records of the Bull Demon Great Sage.'

The extraordinary beings were stunned, then burst into laughter. The mighty Ox Deity King was actually running away in disarray?

"Ox Deity King, please wait!" Zhou Yitian shouted.

"Don't chase me! You have a National Goddess right behind you; go collaborate with her instead!" Chu Feng strode quickly, disappearing in a flash.

"Haha..." The extraordinary beings all burst out laughing.

"I'll definitely invite Goddess Jiang!" Zhou Yitian shouted back.

In fact, he was true to his word. Unable to catch Chu Feng, he indeed went straight to Jiang Luoshen, eagerly extending an invitation with fervent words.

Jiang Luoshen was exquisitely beautiful, always wearing a gentle smile. However, upon hearing his words, a few dark lines couldn't help but appear on her fair forehead.

"Goddess Jiang, I'm serious!" Zhou Yitian repeatedly insisted that this would be a groundbreaking epic drama.

"Look, isn't there someone very suitable over there?" Jiang Luoshen smiled, pointing to Lin Luoyi in the sky.

"Hovering in the air as if mythical, and with her cold, ethereal beauty, yes, she truly could work," Zhou Yitian said.

By the time he looked back again, Jiang Luoshen had already quickly departed, giving him no chance to speak further.

He wanted to pursue, but an extraordinary being directly blocked him.

"Director, what should we do?" someone nearby whispered.

"It's fine," Zhou Yitian said imperiously. "Anyway, we've already recorded their figures. Both goddesses will star in it!"

However, after saying it, he cautiously glanced around. Seeing no one was paying attention, he then shouted, "Come on, let's continue filming, capture all sorts of grand scenes!"

On the outskirts of White Snake Ridge, the yellow ox stopped. It was highly alert and had felt uneasy for a long time, sensing that something was off about this area.

Especially now, it sensed great danger ahead!

However, if it stopped, King Kong would soon arrive. Neither moving forward nor staying put seemed like a good option, causing it a severe headache.

Suddenly, it saw a large black ox leisurely grazing at the mountain pass, its coat dark and shiny.

Upon seeing this, the yellow ox's eyes immediately gleamed mischievously, and it started plotting.

It quietly hid the iron box, then quickly shed its animal skin coat.

It looked down at its golden fur, then shook itself vigorously. The golden color instantly receded, and it remarkably transformed into a black ox.

Of course, it was small, not particularly large to begin with, looking more like a calf.

The color of its horns also changed, no longer golden, indistinguishable from ordinary ox horns. Then, the yellow ox swaggered out.

It sauntered up not far from the large black ox, feeling perfectly justified as it munched on fresh green grass there.

The large black ox ignored it, remaining remarkably calm, as if it hadn't noticed an extra calf had appeared.

King Kong let out a long roar, having chased all the way down. He was somewhat furious, finding it unacceptable that he had been inexplicably ambushed by a strange person and lost the purple-gold pinecone.

It would have been one thing if he hadn't obtained it, but it had clearly been in his hands only to be snatched away.

As he passed through this area, he hesitated slightly and stopped, sensing that there seemed to be great danger ahead, on the edge of White Snake Ridge.

As King Kong paused in confusion, the small black ox, which had been grazing behind him, covertly stood up and then furiously hammered the back of his head with a series of resounding thuds.

Intense pain flared, making King Kong see stars, then his vision went black, and he nearly toppled to the ground.

In that instant alone, he took at least five kicks. The force was immense, heavy enough to tear apart massive boulders weighing tens of thousands of pounds. If it had been anyone else, their head would have been a smashed watermelon by now.

Even he, with his indestructible body, found the pain unbearable.

King Kong was absolutely livid. He had been ambushed again! Especially when he turned around and saw it was a small ox, his eyes nearly popped out.

'By his grandfather, it was a... small black ox!?'

King Kong recalled the strange person's peculiarity from earlier: after snatching the iron box, they seemed to have fled on all fours, at extreme speed?

He had thought that person was skilled in a rapid movement technique, using all limbs for convenience while climbing steep slopes, never imagining it was actually an extraordinary beast!

King Kong was filled with indignation and rage, smoke practically coming out of his orifices. To be hit on the head twice in a row by this small black ox—did it really think he was easy to bully?!

Enduring the severe pain in the back of his head, he lunged at the yellow ox, ready to fight it.

The yellow ox felt a little nervous. It could tell King Kong's physical body was outrageously strong, too resilient. So many kicks hadn't brought him down, which meant trouble; it was very tricky.

"Thud, thud, thud..."

Just then, the large black ox in the distance suddenly moved with incredible speed. As King Kong turned, just about to deal with the yellow ox, the big black ox stood up and delivered four direct kicks to him.

It was large, and its strength seemed boundless.

Thud, thud, thud...

The thuds were muffled.

King Kong's eyes rolled back; his body swayed, and he couldn't stand steadily. He struggled to turn his head and look behind him.

As a result, he took another massive ox hoof to the forehead!

What was happening? The yellow ox's eyes widened, looking utterly bewildered, staring straight ahead as if it had seen a ghost.

King Kong was dumbfounded, and the yellow ox was equally bewildered.
