Chapter 603: All the Way Recognizing Relatives

Holding this black talisman granted an unprecedented opportunity to choose one's future path. Upon reincarnation, one would begin at an incredibly high level, starting as a celestial or immortal infant.

Chu Feng was immensely satisfied. Even if he didn't use it, merely possessing such an awe-inspiring talisman was a source of great confidence, an unimaginable trump card.

Feeling quite pleased, he sped away, leaving others behind. He crossed the Gobi Desert, humming a tune and singing love songs along the path of reincarnation, exhibiting a somewhat carefree and audacious demeanor.

Meanwhile, behind him, across the abyss, in the Reincarnation Cave, the young Daoist priest burst into tears and began to curse vehemently.

"Damn it all! Which son of a bitch stole this Daoist Master's opportunity? Immeasurable Heavenly Venerate, I'll beat your great-uncle! I chant your name every day, yet you don't protect me. I'll turn into a demon! This Daoist Master is rebelling! Damn you, Immeasurable Heavenly Venerate's second uncle!"

The Daoist priest continued to curse incessantly, then broke into tears once more.

Furthermore, he decided to stay put and search for opportunities within the Reincarnation Cave himself.

Chu Feng flew along, humming a tune. He hovered swiftly through the air, holding the black talisman. He noticed that the withered beings in the desert, each bearing a long saber, completely ignored him, showing no sign of recognition.

No unexpected events occurred. He had been prepared to turn back and flee to the end of the reincarnation path if necessary, but it seemed his worries were unfounded.

"This is truly a hell pass, offering an unimpeded journey, far more reliable than any express delivery service!" Chu Feng exclaimed. He also wondered which terrifying beings could have created such diverse talismans, capable of protecting souls through reincarnation. It utterly defied belief.

He then slowed his pace, no longer rushing. A pang of regret struck him; he wished he had collected a couple more talismans. Each one was an unparalleled treasure, something that couldn't be bought even with one's life.

"Ultimately, I was too soft-hearted to be more ruthless."

He took his time, carefully observing the vast multitude of spirit bodies along the way. These were all powerful beings in their former lives; ordinary creatures had no right to tread this path.

As he was moving in the opposite direction, some creatures that had been exceptionally strong and untamed in life now instinctively lunged at him.

"Hmm, I should acknowledge more relatives; perhaps they'll prove useful in the future," Chu Feng mused.

Then, whenever he encountered particularly fierce entities, especially super soul bodies or those close to becoming one, he would boldly rush forward and inscribe characters on them with unrestrained enthusiasm.

This new kinship was straightforward because every one of them would address him as "uncle."

Without exception, he carved the words "My uncle is Chu Feng!" onto these creatures.

The only exceptions were creatures that particularly pleased his eye and with whom he felt an instant connection, such as a female phoenix with vibrant and resplendent wings. Only then would he carve: "My brother is Chu Feng."

If word got out that he dared to lay hands on creatures suspected of being phoenix, true dragons, or Vermilion Birds along this path, people would be utterly dumbfounded, then exclaim in disbelief: "How utterly depraved!"

And so, Chu Feng proceeded in fits and starts, leaving the Gobi Desert behind. He entered a starry path, then began to approach the Dead City, where the massive stone millstone was located.

He stayed busy throughout his journey, his carving technique becoming increasingly proficient, turning him into a highly skilled artisan.

Even though he spent the entire journey "recognizing relatives" and amassing hordes of "nephews," Chu Feng was still much faster than on his inbound journey. The black talisman allowed him to hover through the air, saving a significant amount of time compared to walking.

Subsequently, he moved against the flow, passing through the army of spirit bodies. He stepped through a gateway and returned along an ancient path, once again encountering the colossal stone millstone.

At this point, he was back inside the Luminous Dead City.

"If I truly cannot find a way back to the outside world, then... I will enter reincarnation!" He was reluctant to do so, but if no other option presented itself, it would remain a choice.

The stone millstone rotated slowly, continuously disgorging flesh pulp and blood into the pool below. It was a vast mire of blood and flesh that would then decompose, transforming into primal energy.

Large numbers of spirit bodies emerged from that mire, walking along a predetermined path towards this area, listening to the soul song, accepting the summons, and stepping onto the path of reincarnation.

Chu Feng felt a headache coming on. He discovered he couldn't leave from any other direction; a curtain of light blocked his way, forcing him to retrace his steps along the original path.

This meant he would have to bathe in the blood mire again, and then be crushed by the millstone once more!

This made him incredibly uncomfortable. Being soaked in the flesh pulp of the deceased and the blood of various creatures was simply too "heavy" for most people to bear.

"Fortunately, I have an extra black talisman," Chu Feng murmured. "Otherwise, with flight forbidden and my true body restrained here, I wouldn't be able to get onto the millstone."

Pinching his nose, he used the black talisman to fly up into the air, entering the narrow gap between the two massive millstones. He watched as revered saints were ground into pulp, bone fragments splattering around him.

Simultaneously, he witnessed golden-bodied Arhat-level beings erupting in bursts of blood, their bodies being crushed like soybeans in a press, with gore and fluids flowing everywhere.

Finally, Chu Feng burst out from the millstone's opening, his face pale green. He glanced back, immediately dry-heaved, then turned and fled without a second look.

With the black talisman in hand, he smoothly departed from the area. He then scaled the city wall, vaulted over it, and fled the Luminous Dead City.

"This reincarnation pass is truly remarkable!" Chu Feng remarked, his face pale as he looked at the black talisman in his hand. He retched again, having truly had enough of the Dead City.

Furthermore, he ran straight out of the battlefield area beyond the city gates. Now, the mere sight of the flesh of various rare birds and exotic beasts made him want to vomit, which would have been unimaginable in the past.

In the past, rare raptors and spiritual beasts were delicious delicacies to him. Now, however, he could only associate them with the act of pressing soybeans, with various biological fluids splattering everywhere.

Chu Feng was on the verge of tears. From now on, he likely wouldn't be able to stomach any gourmet food, as the sight of it would trigger too many vivid associations. For him, this was a significant blow in life!

At the same moment, the young Daoist priest in the Reincarnation Cave was also crying, his wails echoing Chu Feng's distress from afar.

Finally free, Chu Feng put away the black talisman into a spatial bottle. Standing hundreds of miles from the Dead City, his face still pale, he let out a long sigh of relief.

The surrounding lands remained shrouded in darkness; apart from the brilliantly lit Dead City, all other regions were an expanse of desolate, pitch-black emptiness, devoid of any sign of life.

"Hmm?!" Chu Feng's eyes suddenly gleamed, and a peculiar expression crossed his face. He detected an anomaly in this area, which he had set up before his departure. He knew he would sense any creature that set foot there.

There was a small field here, not particularly profound but very well hidden. He observed a change in this field, signaling the presence of a creature.

"Qin Luoyin!"

Chu Feng's expression shifted to one of surprise. This woman wasn't dead?!

This space was utterly silent and desolate. He had almost certainly confirmed that there were no other living beings present apart from himself and Qin Luoyin.

He paused, carefully calculating the time. He had traveled the path of reincarnation, then meditated at its end for many days, and subsequently embarked on his return journey. All told, more than a month had passed.

Without a doubt, if Qin Luoyin were to approach the Dead City, her demise would be certain.

However, he reasoned she wouldn't be so foolish. Even from a distance, the Dead City's aura could tear a person's physical body apart, and powerful evolvers would receive an early warning.

Chu Feng was largely unaffected due to the stone box he carried.

"Operation Goddess Hunt officially begins!" he murmured to himself.

The vast, dark red land was incredibly silent, as if no life had ever propagated there since ancient times. Chu Feng walked alone across this desolate and frigid expanse.

An ordinary person would have long since been consumed by panic.

Chu Feng, however, remained remarkably calm. Having already traversed the path of reincarnation, he was entirely unfazed by this unnatural silence.

While attempting to find a path leading back to the outside world, he simultaneously searched for Qin Luoyin's traces, preparing to hunt down the woman who was revered as a perfect goddess by young evolvers across the starry sky and held unparalleled popularity.

This was a continuation of the battle that began in Kunlun!

Along the way, Chu Feng began to set up force fields, intending to capture her alive.

However, Qin Luoyin never appeared; there was no sign of her.

During this time, while searching for an exit, Chu Feng also repeatedly suppressed his urges to dry-heave. He returned multiple times to the battlefield outside the Luminous Dead City, where, amidst mountains of corpses, he contemplated fist imprints and practiced various secret arts.

This place contained unparalleled fist intents and peerless sword traces, which were immensely oppressive yet simultaneously stimulated his enlightenment and effectively boosted his strength.

For outsiders, this was a killing field, a grave of death; yet for Chu Feng, it was a crucible of his ascent!

Outside, the saints of the Great Dream Pure Land, along with a group of masters, were in a secret deliberation. These were the powerful saints from various races who had intervened previously, now preparing to reopen the Kunlun Purgatory.

However, their attempts thus far had failed repeatedly. The purgatory space could not be opened simply at will in the short term; previously, a fissure was only opened by sacrificing the essence blood of saints from various races.

Now, it clearly demanded more significant sacrifices.

"Time is running out," lamented the female saint. "Even if Luoyin possesses a death-substitute talisman and a spiritual seed from me, that only grants her two additional lives."

The female saint of the Great Dream Pure Land was anxious and deeply unsettled. She united with others, preparing to exert their full effort in the coming days, determined to reopen the purgatory at all costs.

Within the purgatory, Chu Feng moved beyond the perimeter of the Luminous Dead City, distancing himself from the area. He was now focusing his energy, eager to quickly resolve the lingering issue of Qin Luoyin.

Chu Feng carried a large quantity of pre-inscribed magnetites. The moment they met, he could unleash them across the sky, instantly deploying a medium-sized force field. He was confident he could trap the goddess of the Great Dream Pure Land and capture her alive.

"Hmm, traces!"

As Chu Feng cautiously approached the initial landing spot where he had first fallen into this purgatory, he discovered telltale signs. Qin Luoyin must have been active in this area for an extended period, leaving behind various traces.

This aligned with his suspicions: she was lingering in the same spot, most likely awaiting rescue, convinced that the patriarchs of the Great Dream Pure Land possessed the means to open this place and free her.

"This woman is also searching for me, intending to hunt me down!"

Chu Feng's expression turned cold. He discovered several traps, such as purple crystal heavenly thunder. If he were to accidentally step on them forcefully and trigger their immense energy, he could be pulverized.

The Great Dream Pure Land's purple crystal heavenly thunder was certainly no ordinary item; it should be potent enough to obliterate even peerless geniuses. This disciple would surely disdain to carry anything less.

"Let's see where you'll run this time!" Chu Feng sneered. He was confident he would have the last laugh and successfully hunt her down if they crossed paths.

Soon after, he discovered some words inscribed on the ground, all in the universal language of the cosmos. Chu Feng had recently learned parts of it through a quantum computer while on Earth, so he could roughly decipher them.

"Chu Feng, utterly evil, infamous, deserving of slaughter, die!"

Undeniably, these words were written by Qin Luoyin, expressing her intense hatred and murderous intent!

Chu Feng's expression turned frigid. He muttered to himself, "I'll tie you up so you're prostrated before me; then let's see how you can maintain your arrogance and still call yourself a goddess!"
