Chapter 528: Earth's True Son

Chufeng realized that this elder was very strong, not an ordinary evolutionist!

Yuan Mo, Ziluán, Zhao Qing, and the others were surprised and uncertain. They hadn't sensed anyone approaching or heard anyone speak, but Chufeng's reaction clearly indicated someone was there.

“I invite you for tea, young friend.”

Chufeng, using his Fiery Golden Eyes, looked at the sea surface. His normal eyes couldn't see anything; he had to employ his ocular technique to scan the waters.

“Here.”

Indeed, he saw it: a small, leaf-like boat made of emerald green bamboo, some stalks even adorned with fresh green leaves. It exuded a refreshing aura, perfectly blending with the natural surroundings.

On the verdant bamboo skiff, there was a small red clay stove, a table, and a complete tea set. An old man with white hair and beard sat cross-legged, a gentle smile on his face.

The calm, emerald sea was tranquil, and the small boat drifted gently forward, shrouded in a faint mist that concealed it from all prying eyes.

Chufeng did not approach. Faced with the unknown and this inscrutable powerhouse, he chose to retreat. He personally piloted the five-colored grand vessel, initiating a spatial leap and instantly traversing the void.

With a whoosh, he vanished from that spot, acting decisively, and reappeared in the South Sea.

Chufeng felt he was no match for the old man; their evolutionary levels were vastly different. He knew nothing about the other party and didn't want to risk approaching blindly, uncertain of what might happen. He refused to place his safety in someone else's hands and await their decision.

“Young friend, please don’t misunderstand. I truly have no ill intent.”

However, the calm voice spoke again, and nearby, the luminous green skiff gently bobbed with the waves.

This was terrifying. In an instant, the elder and his skiff had followed him from the East Sea to the South Sea, crossing thousands of miles of ocean.

Chufeng left the five-colored grand vessel, flickering and vanishing from the sea surface. In reality, he had teleported close to the skiff and boarded it.

Behind him, Yuan Mo, Zhao Qing, Ziluán, and the others on the five-colored grand vessel were dumbfounded, as if they had seen a ghost. The person was just gone, no longer detectable.

Chufeng voluntarily boarded the small skiff because he knew there was no escaping. The elder's power was beyond imagination; even the five-colored grand vessel, capable of spatial leaps covering thousands of miles in an instant, couldn't shake him off. There was no point in trying to evade him further.

“Ah, Fiery Golden Eyes. What an enviable ocular technique, truly remarkable. It's even stronger than the Celestial Eye; not even a Celestial Eye could perceive this bamboo skiff.” The elder sighed softly.

“Is that so?” Chufeng replied simply.

“Here, you needn't worry about monitoring from extraterrestrial Celestial Eyes; they cannot see through this,” the elder said with a smile, informing Chufeng that those Celestial Eye crystal bodies lacked the ability of Fiery Golden Eyes to pierce through illusions.

“My name is Yuchi Kong. I belong to one of Earth’s hidden clans,” the elder introduced himself.

Chufeng looked at him and asked, “Your clan doesn’t reside in a secret realm? Have you always lived in Earth’s main dimension?”

He was certain that this elder was an old monster far beyond the Visualization level, extremely powerful. By all accounts, such an individual shouldn't have emerged into the world at this time.

Yuchi Kong chuckled and replied, “There are always exceptions, always unforeseen circumstances. Well, someone guided me here, bringing me across realms into Earth’s main dimension.”

He spoke frankly, telling Chufeng that their reclusive family indeed resided in a secret realm, but someone had guided them out.

“How were you guided?” Chufeng asked, though he had already guessed what had happened and merely sought confirmation.

“A young man gained recognition from a very powerful energy tower, which then guided me here,” Yuchi Kong informed him.

Just as he thought, Chufeng nodded.

It was similar to Lin Nuoyi, who had obtained a Supernova Energy Tower. Such ancient and incredibly powerful inherited sacred artifacts were recognized by Earth's consciousness and could build bridges across folded space.

Back then, Lin Nuoyi had used the Supernova Energy Tower as bait, making Prince Daqi and others believe that a once-in-a-millennium opportunity had arrived, prompting them to ask for her help in crossing realms.

As a result, during the Battle of Laoshan, Lin Nuoyi almost annihilated all of them; only Qi Yu managed to escape.

“Growing up on Earth, you will face the same enemies in the future. You should support each other,” the elder said with a smile.

Chufeng naturally knew who he was talking about. That person had obtained an extraordinary energy tower—what an immense stroke of luck! He had a feeling that the energy tower was far from simple.

“Naturally, I also hope to have someone join me in fighting against extraterrestrial enemies. Is he about to emerge?” Chufeng asked calmly.

“Everyone has their own path; his is somewhat different from yours. I will arrange for you to meet shortly, but it’s not yet time for him to emerge.”

Chufeng looked at him, remaining silent.

“He carries too many burdens and should not emerge too early. In the future, he must face individuals from the top ten, contend with the strongest Dao children, slaughter saints, overturn everything, and restore Earth’s glory!” The elder's own emotions were stirred as he spoke, and he sighed, “I got a little carried away.”

“It seems this peer, whom I’ve never met, is quite extraordinary,” Chufeng remarked.

Yuchi Kong nodded and said, “Yes, his talent is indeed outstanding, and his intellect is rare. Whether it’s physical martial arts or mental martial arts, he learns everything exceptionally quickly.”

Chufeng said nothing, sensing that Yuchi Kong held that person in exceptionally high regard, lavishing him with praise.

At this moment, the water in the small red clay stove had boiled. The elder rinsed the tea set and took out several translucent tea leaves from a jade jar. Their colors varied: some golden yellow, some crimson, some as white as jade. The tea leaves were quite unusual.

As the water poured into the tea set, a fragrant aroma wafted forth, spreading through the air and instantly calming one’s heart.

“These are leaves from the divine tea tree that grew on Earth in ancient times. It can no longer be found here; it must have fallen into one of the top ten star worlds, becoming the exclusive tea tree of an invincible race. Zhou Shang had a great fortune to acquire a jar of this divine tea, and he gave some to me. I invite you to taste it as well.”

The elder finally revealed the person’s name: Zhou Shang.

Chufeng was surprised. He already sensed that this person seemed to have obtained many fortuitous encounters, even managing to acquire the legendary divine tea.

“This tea can help one calm their mind, focus their thoughts, and sharpen their intellect. If you are comprehending a technique, it will yield twice the results with half the effort,” Yuchi Kong said with a laugh.

“Please!” the elder gestured, inviting him to drink the tea.

The jade cup was translucent, and a few leaves inside glowed, a cluster of light swirling within, creating an extraordinary sight. As for the tea’s aroma, it was invigorating, permeating deep into one’s bones.

Chufeng drank some, then proceeded to deduce the Purple Qi East-Coming Fist and the Nine Forms of Heavenly Halberd. He admitted that his mind felt clear and his thoughts were indeed sharper than usual, though not to the extent of fundamentally altering anything.

“Excellent tea, thank you!” Chufeng said.

“Since you enjoy it, young friend, please accept this half-jar,” Yuchi Kong said, pushing the tea jar forward.

“A gentleman does not take what others cherish,” Chufeng said, shaking his head very solemnly and pushing the jade jar back.

If a group of Divine Sons and Saintesses had heard this, they would surely have cursed, scoffing at the notion of "a gentleman not taking what others cherish!"

Even the elder Yuchi Kong showed a flicker of surprise before masking it. Clearly, Chufeng’s words somewhat startled him; it was completely out of character.

The two drank tea and conversed harmoniously, at least on the surface.

Chufeng was astonished. From their brief conversation, he was already moved, learning that the other person seemed to have obtained numerous great fortuitous encounters, practically a true Chosen One.

These were merely fragments of information, inadvertently revealed by Yuchi Kong, but they were already startling.

“Young friend Chufeng, I have an impudent request,” the elder suddenly said.

Chufeng was startled and looked at him in confusion.

“I heard, young friend, that you visited the Qinling Mountains and saw a dilapidated energy tower there. You must have taken something from it, correct? This old man wishes to request it from you on Zhou Shang’s behalf.”

When Chufeng heard these words, his muscles tensed slightly, and his pupils contracted. Was the real purpose finally being revealed?!

How could he possibly hand over that silver box? Inside was the Robbery Induction Breathing Technique, and even though he still couldn’t open it, Yaoyao had already told him about it.

At the same time, Chufeng felt a chill. How did the elder know about such a highly confidential matter? At that time, only Toad Ouyang Feng had been with him, witnessing everything.

“Young friend, you must be wondering how we knew. It’s because Zhou Shang acquired Earth’s most ancient and authentic energy tower. It contains records, and among the things he is destined to inherit, there’s a legacy buried in the Qinling Mountains. When we went there, we discovered you had already gotten there first.”

“I did go there, but I didn’t obtain anything.”

The elder said, “Young friend, there’s no need to deny it. The most ancient energy tower Zhou Shang obtained has the highest authority and has already merged with that dilapidated tower, understanding everything.”

Chufeng’s heart trembled. He realized that this was indeed possible; every energy tower was like black technology, seemingly possessing its own will.

The tower in the Qinling Mountains was incomplete, but it truly understood everything.

Although he could no longer deny it, Chufeng still wouldn't hand it over. Why should he give his own fortuitous encounter to the elder before him, only for it to be given to Zhou Shang?

“Zhou Shang acquired Earth’s most ancient energy tower, which encompasses everything and records all techniques. He sought the silver box simply to verify the contents; once he has seen them, he will return it to you, young friend.”

Chufeng said, “This is our first meeting. Don’t you think that’s a bit presumptuous and inappropriate, senior?”

Let alone the Robbery Induction Breathing Technique, even for other common legacies, it shouldn't be requested in such a manner. Chufeng could not possibly agree.

Yet, the elder seemed to think Zhou Shang should be allowed to view it.

“As rising stars of Earth, you should support each other and not hoard your treasures,” Yuchi Kong stated.

Chufeng frowned. This was their first meeting; they knew nothing about each other, yet this elder was lecturing him and demanding the most crucial ultimate breathing technique from him. How could that be possible!

“Is this Zhou Shang’s wish, or your own, senior? If he wants to exchange, he can bring that most ancient energy tower for me to examine.”

The elder heard this and fell silent for a long moment, finally sighing softly, “That tower is of great significance; its secrets cannot be divulged.”

Then he added, “I want you to understand, young friend, that assisting Zhou Shang now is crucial for both of us, and for Earth at this time.”

Chufeng realized that some extraterrestrial beings’ suspicions might be coming true: the Chosen Ones on Earth were perhaps divided into so-called “false children” and “true children”!

Because he clearly felt that, in the elder’s heart, Zhou Shang was the legitimate one, the sole individual who could seemingly lead Earth to endless glory in the future.

He understood. Zhou Shang was likely the so-called “True Child of Earth”—at least, that’s how Yuchi Kong saw him!
