Chapter 461: Appearing Pretentious

In the starry sky, howls echoed across the Primal Beast Platform.

“Oh my god, the foremost person of the younger generation on a high-level planet, the Saintess of the strongest lineage, actually succumbed to that native’s clutches!”

“Heavens, please strike that beast dead with lightning! Let me replace him, make him disappear—the Saintess is mine!”

“God, that scoundrel has even taken photo albums of the goddess in my heart! Strike him dead, ahhh… Chu Feng, please give me a set of photo albums!”

Li Lin’s voice was soft and sweet as she sang, following the native’s command to perform an a cappella, making the crowd on the Primal Beast Platform wail like hungry wolves.

Especially since Chu Feng had just mentioned photo albums, a group of people’s eyes turned red, wishing to strike him dead. How could he defile the Saintess so? It was pure envy, jealousy, and hatred.

Many looked as if they had consumed Saint Phoenix blood, their eyes terrifying.

This beautiful singing echoed across the platform, with many recording it. Clearly, even new songs released by the outstanding disciples from evolutionary holy lands specializing in sonic research were not as popular.

Of course, many others were so furious they were on the verge of madness, shouting that they must slaughter the native and could not accept such a cruel outcome.

“Saintess Li Lin is sacrificing herself to the demon; I cannot bear it! I will now embark on the Star Road to save my goddess!”

Even knowing it would take a year or more to reach Earth, a significant number of people set out, consumed by boundless resentment and fury, determined to slay the demon.

Outside Earth, Sword Saint Duanmu, the dark-faced burly man, had already changed. Chaos permeated his eyes, lightning intertwined in his pupils. When a saint raged, the celestial phenomena were terrifying!

He had come for Saintess Li Lin from an old friend’s sect and was shocked to witness her being forced to sing “How Lonely Is Invincibility!”

A burst of sword light erupted, illuminating the entire solar system; it was dazzling!

On Earth, on Penglai Island.

Everyone was stunned. Weaker individuals trembled, their calves cramping from sheer terror.

Chu Feng, could he truly have such a powerful background? Some felt relieved, understanding why he had risen so quickly with such a lineage. This revelation, however, sent a shiver of dread down their spines.

Penglai prided itself on being orthodox, but if Chu Feng were indeed the returning direct descendant, wouldn’t they all be a joke?!

Just then, dazzling sword light pierced the sky, descending terrifyingly, as if to cleave through past, present, and future, sever the river of time, and attain eternity!

“Ah…”

Before them, many Penglai evolvers were utterly terrified. It was true holy light, so oppressive it felt suffocating. Many collapsed to the ground, trembling uncontrollably.

The brilliant sword light, like a burning sun, then exploded!

Then, all the light surged downward, about to engulf the five-colored great ship with earth-shattering force!

At this moment, Chu Feng’s hair stood on end. It was impossible not to be nervous; he felt as if he had stepped into the underworld, death so perilously close.

Although he appeared ruthless, with the demeanor of a cold god or demon, his face was actually numb, unable to change expression due to the oppressive aura. Even his body had stiffened.

Yet, to the people of Penglai, this posture commanded reverence like a celestial deity, exuding an aura of invincibility!

Many believed he had summoned an immortal saint!

“What a sin! I’ve said it before: ancestral teachings must not be violated. We are servants; everything—breathing techniques, medicinal fields, secret treasures—all were bestowed by our former master’s lineage, given to us freely. Yet, we repaid kindness with enmity, trying to rebel. Now, retribution has come.”

An elder’s face was pale, his voice trembling.

*Crack!*

Dazzling holy light exploded not far above Chu Feng’s head, thunder boomed, and various dazzling runes appeared, intertwining wildly and shining brilliantly.

Those were Earth’s field symbols, colliding with the astonishing sword light, creating a terrifying, boundless spectacle.

Chu Feng remained motionless, surrounded by world-destroying thunder, sword light, and symbols. He stood unmoving. In this scene, he truly resembled a god or demon; his bearing was remarkably similar!

In truth, Chu Feng’s mouth wanted to twitch; he wanted to curse. It wasn’t that he wanted to act cool; he genuinely couldn’t move.

*Thump! Thump…*

People knelt in droves, prostrating themselves in worship, almost scared out of their wits by the terrifying sight. Many kowtowed until their foreheads bled.

The effect was astonishingly good. Group after group knelt, repenting to Chu Feng, their foreheads bloody and bruised, tears and snot streaming down their faces.

Chu Feng remained cool, like a god descended to Earth, but in his heart, he was cursing, “When can I move?” He truly didn’t want to maintain this pretense; it was exhausting and somewhat terrifying.

That sword light was too terrifying; it locked onto him alone. Even though it couldn’t physically or spiritually touch him, the invisible “momentum” still stiffened his entire body.

“How lonely is invincibility…” Li Lin was still singing, unaffected because Sword Saint Duanmu had come to rescue her.

At this moment, Li Lin’s eyes held a strange glint as she stared at Chu Feng, wanting to say that this scoundrel was an incredible actor. Even she couldn't see through his facade; he truly seemed like a divine demon’s offspring!

Beautiful singing drifted through the air, intertwined with thunder from the nine heavens, terrifying symbols, and sword light. The entire area was indescribably eerie, the atmosphere sinister.

Finally, Chu Feng caught his breath. His body still couldn’t move, but he could open his mouth, though it was a struggle. His voice slightly hoarse, he commanded, “Offerings, things most divine and sacred, give them to me!”

He almost gritted his teeth as he spoke, his voice hoarse, making him seem even more ruthless.

At this moment, even the Silver Turtle admired him, secretly sighing, “This kid is incredibly good at pretending; he’s too profound, too convincing!”

Many of the Penglai people scrambled, moving quickly to find valuable items, heading to the treasure vault to search for offerings, revering Chu Feng as a celestial god.

They feared that the terrifying saint behind Chu Feng would emerge and slaughter everyone.

At this point, Duanmu’s sword light finally ceased. His attack was ineffective, and he suffered a backlash, with a saint’s essence blood being obliterated in extraterrestrial space in his stead.

Chu Feng could finally move. He quickly told Li Lin to stop singing; he was also getting a headache from how terrifying the Sword Saint was.

“What are you laughing at?!” He saw the Silver Turtle looking askance, having discovered his feigned fierceness and inner cowardice, and secretly mocking him. He immediately went over and kicked it twice.

Without its shell, that mixed-blood Star Core Turtle would probably have been stomped to death!

The Silver Turtle wanted to curse; it had truly become a punching bag. Then it was used as a wedge under a table leg.

“Look at your turtle-like behavior, just like your ancestors—slow and lacking drive!” Chu Feng wasn’t speaking nonsense; he had provoked Jun Tuo long ago, but that old turtle, aside from manifesting phenomena and expressing anger, hadn’t personally intervened.

Outside Earth, Jun Tuo remained cross-legged in his war chariot, never showing himself, but now a cold voice emanated, speaking to the two Saints.

“I intend to kill the remnants, the true saints, and I don’t wish to waste my essence blood here!”

He speculated that by targeting Earth in this manner, some remnants might emerge to attack his planet. If so, he would instantly tear through the starry sky, return directly, and eliminate them!

His Star Core Turtle lineage had few members and was already well-settled, fearing retaliation the least!

However, seeing Chu Feng again take out his anger on his descendant and still curse the “old turtle,” he finally snapped. This was truly beyond endurance!

On the five-colored great ship on Penglai Island, Li Lin looked up at the sky with a strange expression, contemplating the vanished sword light with suspicion.

“What’s going on?” Chu Feng asked.

Li Lin was quite frank. Wanting to put some pressure on Chu Feng, she said, “You should let me go. I feel like an elder has arrived, and he will take me away.”

Chu Feng sneered. With Earth’s field revived, even saints couldn’t enter.

“That’s my grandmaster’s confidant; he won’t give up until he rescues me,” Li Lin said.

Chu Feng laughed heartily. “He’s probably your grandmaster’s suitor, isn’t he?” he said.

“Don’t speak nonsense!” Li Lin scolded, but she felt a bit powerless.

From her expression, Chu Feng immediately understood that his guess was close. He burst out laughing, saying, “This saint is too foolish. After pursuing for so long, he calls himself a ‘confidant,’ but in reality, he’s just a loser.”

“Stop fabricating!” Li Lin retorted instantly.

The Primal Beast Platform instantly erupted. Unearthing a saint’s romantic history was incredibly fresh news.

“Oh, I never imagined Sword Saint Duanmu actually pursued Saint Li Miao and failed, haha… He has such a dark past!”

“Perhaps it’s precisely because the Sword Saint suffered romantic setbacks back then that he developed his invincible sword dao, heh heh…”

The Primal Beast Platform was filled with a cacophony of noise. People were excited and thrilled, intensely interested in the saint’s dark history.

The commentator’s face instantly went green; this was terribly awkward.

As for the invited distinguished figures, they discreetly recoiled. They absolutely would not participate in such a matter, not offering a single word of comment.

“Heh heh, that old Duanmu guy bitterly pursued Fairy Li Miao back then, sending Qilin orchids every day, rain or shine. Yet, he still ended up leaving in tears.”

Just then, a saint appeared on the Primal Beast Platform, exposing secrets.

“Oh my god, the Blade Saint has appeared! It’s truly him! He actually logged in with a verified account and expressed his views. Is he trying to defy heaven?!”

A few people knew that the Sword Saint and Blade Saint were natural rivals from their youth, as both had pursued Saint Li Miao.

Now, no one dared to speak out and comment randomly, unless they were a saint of that caliber.

Li Lin was unaware that her few simple words had caused a massive stir in the starry sky, as she could never have imagined that major galaxies were currently watching Chu Feng’s live broadcast.

It should be noted that Earth was at the edge of the universe, and in the past, there was no interstellar network. How could she have foreseen it being covered now?

Sword Saint Duanmu’s face was as black as the bottom of a pot. Unable to restrain himself, he roared, “Li Lin, what nonsense are you spouting?!”

Simultaneously, murderous intent surged across Penglai Island. A group of elders advanced, bringing powerful weapons, intending to blast Chu Feng to death.

“Little beast, how dare you deceive our clansmen? You’re courting death!”

Penglai Island was vast, like a continent. Chu Feng and his group were only in the outer region. While such a display could deter ordinary evolvers, the old monsters deep within the island were not fooled. If the island hadn’t been so immense, making the distance too great, they would have attacked as soon as they received the report!

“Run!” Chu Feng immediately ordered Li Lin.

But now, even with the threat of the photo album, Saintess Li Lin remained unresponsive, lost in a daze. She knew who had arrived: it was indeed Sword Saint Duanmu himself.

*Boom!*

Chu Feng quickly took action himself, maneuvering the five-colored great ship to perform a spatial leap. There was nothing to regret; he knew he couldn’t trick them into giving him offerings and supreme treasures.

The people deep within the island were not fools; how could they possibly fall for such a trick?

He was already content with achieving this much.

“You grandsons on Penglai Island, grandpa’s leaving! Remember you all knelt and kowtowed to me. Don’t act so high and mighty in front of grandpa anymore, you servants, your backbones were broken long ago!”

With a *whoosh*, the five-colored great ship vanished, performing a spatial leap.

The group behind them was absolutely furious, incandescent with rage. What an utter humiliation!

A group of people on the Primal Beast Platform found it amusing and laughed heartily.

In their view, Chu Feng was too unconventional, constantly challenging the dignity of saints. As a grassroots native, he resonated strongly with them, and they all hoped he would “offend” the saints a few more times.

“This guy is truly a model for our generation—puts on a show and then runs!”

“Oh, this guy is too shameless, running away after taking advantage! Is he trying to infuriate the people on that island to death? Truly one of us!”

Beyond the domain, the three saints’ faces were not pleasant. They found that the comments on the Primal Beast Platform surprisingly lacked any identification with them.

The Blade Saint resurfaced, remarking, “This kid is very much to my liking. His actions are domineering; he directly snatched away Fairy Li Miao’s successor to be his maid. If I had his kind of audacity back then, things wouldn’t have turned out this way. As for Sword Saint Duanmu, that crybaby, don’t even think about it; give him another chance, and he’ll just wipe away tears. If Chu Feng ever comes to the depths of the starry sky, I, the Blade Saint, will invite him for a drink!”

These words, accompanied by wild laughter, excited many on the Primal Beast Platform, who hoped he would say more and reveal further explosive news.

Sword Saint Duanmu’s fingers trembled with rage.

Not long after, a shocking crisis emerged.

The saints were enraged, vowing to destroy Chu Feng.

Saints possessed endless methods. Once they were willing to pay the price, they could certainly succeed in killing someone, as long as it didn’t involve extensively damaging Earth.

Chu Feng piloted the five-colored warship, initially quite leisurely.

Suddenly, he looked up sharply, his pupils rapidly contracting. The sky was densely packed with warships, arrayed like dumplings, constantly appearing and descending with crackling sounds.

“A phenomenon?!”

Initially, he suspected it was another trick by a saint, creating a celestial phenomenon that wasn’t real.

But he immediately felt his hair stand on end, swiftly controlling the five-colored warship to flee.

“Let’s see who dares to save you, who can save you!” Ancient Saint Jun Tuo spoke, his murderous intent chilling. He hadn’t acted until now, but finally couldn’t hold back.

Having his descendant brutally beaten and being repeatedly called an “old turtle,” which caused many on the Primal Beast Platform to roar with laughter, Ancient Saint Jun Tuo could no longer tolerate it.

Within the solar system, many warships had been studying how to safely enter Earth. Now, summoned by Jun Tuo and shielded by sacred blood, these warships began to descend.

Many warships were visible with a red glow around them, protected by a layer of mysterious power.

“If I, Jun Tuo, want to kill someone, there’s no one I cannot kill!” Jun Tuo said coldly.

“Old bastard Jun Tuo, I just won’t die! What can you do to me?!” Chu Feng retorted, hearing Jun Tuo’s chilling words transmitted through space.

The next moment, he felt a death threat as warships glowed and attacked him.

Moreover, powerful mechanical beings appeared, enveloped in a faint red light, diving towards him from the sky.

They were consuming sacred blood for protection, enabling them to enter Earth and kill Chu Feng.

The saints were paying a bloody price to send down the mechanical race, vowing to strike down Chu Feng and leave him no escape.

“Oh no, I’ve overdone it this time!” Chu Feng’s expression changed; he secretly clicked his tongue in dismay. He had truly gone too far. An unprecedented crisis had emerged—a life-and-death calamity, a disaster was imminent!
