Chapter 39: Huge Sensation

Lin Naoi's words were concise, and her voice was flat, just like last time, creating a sense of distance and aloofness.

Chu Feng was calm and invited her to dinner.

Lin Naoi paused briefly, but eventually said "okay" before hanging up the communicator, without further conversation.

Chu Feng was taken aback; he still had something to say, but Lin Naoi had already ended the call, giving him no time.

He wanted to ask Lin Naoi about another woman—who she was—and inform her about recent events, but he didn't call her back.

They were going to meet soon anyway, so it would be better to speak frankly and clarify things in person.

"This is..."

Chu Feng was immediately surprised when he saw a line of text written by the yellow ox.

"Rare soil, mixed with secret blood."

These simple eight characters sparked many thoughts in Chu Feng's mind. Wasn't it just stones? Why was it called rare soil, and mixed with secret blood? What kind of creature's blood was it?

He had many questions and naturally pressed for answers.

The yellow ox explained that the rubble was originally soil mixed with blood, but eventually, as the essence of the secret blood dissipated, it solidified into stones, merging with the stone box.

"Is the creature with that kind of blood extraordinary?" Chu Feng pressed.

The yellow ox told him that "secret blood" indicated something mysterious, powerful, and unfathomable. The strength of such a creature was beyond words!

Hearing this, Chu Feng picked up a piece of the stone from the ground, ground it into powder with his Ox Demon Fist strength, and mimicking the yellow ox, put it to his mouth to taste.

"Pah!"

He immediately spat it out. He didn't taste any "secret blood," just an intense bitterness that numbed his entire tongue.

"Ox Demon King, are you tricking me?" Chu Feng asked, his expression unfriendly.

However, the yellow ox was distracted and paid him no mind. Its eyes looked strange as it stared intently at the stone box, holding it with its front hooves, unwilling to let go.

"Snap out of it!" Chu Feng waved his hand in front of its eyes.

The yellow ox came to its senses and tapped the stone box with its front hooves, as if searching for something. It felt that this stone box must be extraordinary!

After all, it had once been stained with secret blood and handled by an incredible creature.

Thud!

Finally, the yellow ox used its Ox Demon Fist, striking the stone box. It sent the box flying, crashing into the courtyard wall, smashing a large hole straight through it, and landing in the orchard outside.

"What are you doing?!" Chu Feng wanted to punch it. He still had a use for that item; it came from the foot of Kunlun Mountain and might lead to clues in the future.

The yellow ox chuckled sheepishly and ran out after Chu Feng to see the result.

The stone box was perfectly intact, without the slightest trace of damage.

This surprised Chu Feng, as he knew very well how powerful the yellow ox was when it truly used its Ox Demon Fist Seal; it could easily crush ten-thousand-pound boulders into powder.

Yet, the three-inch-tall stone box was completely unharmed, retaining its ancient and natural appearance.

The yellow ox, being mischievous, grinned and, while Chu Feng wasn't looking, delivered three more powerful kicks to the stone box, as if unwilling to give up until it was shattered.

"You stubborn ox!" Chu Feng exclaimed in shock, quickly snatching it away, only to find it still undamaged.

The yellow ox bared its teeth and rubbed its front hooves vigorously, looking as if it was in great pain. This was the first time Chu Feng had seen it get a taste of its own medicine since they met.

"Serves you right!" Chu Feng laughed heartily.

The yellow ox, feeling indignant, told him that the stone box might have some hidden mechanism, as it had once been in the hands of a secret-blooded creature and perhaps held secrets.

Chu Feng's mouth twitched. He couldn't possibly tell it that the biggest secret was the three seeds hidden inside, could he? If it fully understood the whole story, it would probably claim them immediately.

However, he had clearly underestimated the yellow ox.

Unable to make any headway with the stone box, the ox quickly widened its eyes, extended a front hoof, and pointed at him, as if to say, "You're not being loyal!"

Then, it vanished in a flash, running from the orchard back into the courtyard.

"Oh no!" Chu Feng quickly chased after it.

Sure enough, the ox was too clever. It was guarding the flowerbed, carefully tending to it and examining it closely, as if it wanted to uproot all the surrounding plants.

"Stop, even if it's to throw people off, you can't pull everything out!" Chu Feng whispered.

Hearing this, the yellow ox immediately nodded, simultaneously adopting a cautious look and pointing at him, signaling him to stand farther away, lest he accidentally harm the seeds buried beneath the soil.

This scene made Chu Feng feel like spitting blood; he wanted to curse it.

This ox was too pragmatic! On the day he buried the seeds, it had scoffed and mocked him, but now that it knew they were valuable, it wanted to claim them immediately as its precious treasures.

"If a deity grows, it's mine!" it wrote.

"Get out!" Chu Feng pushed its head aside, stepped closer, and warned it not to mess around in that spot.

At the same time, he was somewhat curious and asked the yellow ox how it immediately guessed about the three seeds.

The yellow ox remained quite calm, slowly carving out a message telling him that it had seen him take the seeds from the stone box before, but hadn't paid attention at the time.

Chu Feng's face darkened. "I'm warning you, these are mine!" he said.

The yellow ox grumbled defiantly, its "moo" implying that finders keepers. Finally, it threatened to eat the seeds directly if Chu Feng didn't share.

The night was very quiet, with countless stars twinkling and their light pouring down like water.

In the courtyard, Chu Feng practiced a special breathing technique daily without fail. Moonlight fell upon him, giving his body a layer of luminous white glow, making him appear sacred.

This breathing technique didn't require much time, and he finished soon after.

Back in his room, Chu Feng wasn't sleepy. He opened his communicator and browsed various reports, paying particular attention to news about awakened beings and Mount Taihang.

"It is rumored that top executives from Heaven's God Biological have already departed for Mount Taihang and are expected to arrive tomorrow."

The report also included detailed analysis, stating that Heaven's God Biological was determined to acquire that unique fruit, hoping to create a second Silver-Winged Celestial.

If that happened, who could compete?!

Moreover, there were whispers that beings of the Silver-Winged Celestial's caliber might be impervious to thermal weapons, possessing strength so terrifying it would shock the world.

Additionally, some reports indicated that with the world's changes, the number of awakened beings had increased again. Conservatively estimated, there were now at least 100,000 such individuals.

Among them, several super-experts had emerged.

Besides the four at the very top of the pyramid, someone had even created a "Top 100 List," claiming to feature the hundred most terrifying individuals in the world, as if deities had reappeared.

Chu Feng examined it carefully. The Top 100 List only revealed a dozen or so names because there were too many awakened beings, and it was difficult to fully assess their individual strengths. Only those who were exceptionally strong and well-known experts were included.

For example, one awakened being could transform into a six-meter-tall golden giant, possessing astonishing divine strength, thick skin, and imperviousness to bullets.

Some even claimed he could challenge the Four Giants.

This awakened being also declared that he would challenge Vajra in the coming days.

"Much stronger than Zuo Jun!" Chu Feng commented. While both could transform into giants, this individual was clearly many times more terrifying.

He then continued to read the article, and another person on the ranking list also impressed him.

He was shrouded in brilliant light, his true appearance obscured. It was rumored that this person wielded lightning, sweeping away all opponents he encountered and remaining invincible to this day.

Chu Feng's expression grew serious; he dared not underestimate them. He watched carefully, realizing that among the vast number of awakened beings in the world, there were indeed many formidable individuals.

Much later, he started reading other reports.

"Bodhi Gene is making a big move; Vajra will personally lead the expedition!"

This report was highly attention-grabbing. The super-conglomerate Bodhi Gene was also heading to Mount Taihang, clearly intending to compete with Heaven's God Biological for the unique fruit on that small tree.

Vajra, Bodhi Gene's top expert, would be present in person!

This caused a huge uproar. Was Bodhi Gene going to confront Heaven's God Biological?

Would Vajra then face off against the Silver-Winged Celestial, igniting a climactic battle?!

This created immense excitement!

Everyone wanted to know if the report was true and how credible it was. If it were real, it would be incredibly exciting and undoubtedly set the internet ablaze.

Chu Feng searched carefully and found quite a bit of news about Mount Taihang. Some predicted that at least several thousand awakened beings would come this time to participate in the struggle.

Because that fruit was simply too tempting!

Many now knew that ordinary grass, when mutated, could produce fruits capable of creating awakened beings.

However, trees undergoing mutation were even more astonishing. To date, there had only been four such cases, giving rise to the Silver-Winged Celestial, Vajra, Fire Spirit, and White Tiger King.

These individuals stood at the pinnacle of power, able to look down on other awakened beings!

Who wouldn't want to become an existence on par with those four? Rumor had it they were already immune to thermal weapons.

Especially some awakened beings harbored even greater ambition, wishing to undergo a second mutation in hopes of surpassing Vajra, Fire Spirit, and the other two.

"Wake up, everyone," someone poured cold water on their hopes. "It's difficult to surpass those four. Do you think they only consumed one type of fruit to awaken their powers? In fact, while the small tree's fruit was primary, they also supplemented it with other mysterious fruits!"

At the same time, a video was released and instantly set the internet ablaze.

"My goodness, it's footage of the Silver-Winged Celestial fighting! The first time it's ever been leaked!"

"Who did this? It's astonishing that something so top-secret could be leaked!"

The internet exploded; this night was destined to be anything but peaceful.

In the video, a young man with brilliant silver hair that reached his waist shimmered with silver light. Even his pupils were silver. His entire demeanor was outstanding, and he was incredibly handsome, appearing as if he transcended the mortal world, like a god!

It was a combat sequence where a dozen awakened beings challenged him simultaneously. As a result, he stretched out his arms, formed a fist seal, and simply sent them all flying.

"He's so cool!" many women shrieked at that moment.

The appearance of this video caused a massive sensation.

What was particularly striking was that at the end, one awakened being, wielding an alloy saber, refused to give up and continued to slash at him. In response, he suddenly unfurled his silver wings, and with a snap, directly severed the hard alloy saber.

At the same moment, the video ended.

"He's too strong, like a myth brought to life, truly worthy of being called the Silver-Winged Celestial!"

The internet was abuzz, many were deeply shocked, and quite a few cheered, looking forward to the Silver-Winged Celestial showcasing even more astonishing power in the future.

Undeniably, the Silver-Winged Celestial's popularity skyrocketed. Previously, he was a mysterious figure, known only for his immense strength, but this leaked video brought him from rumor into concrete reality.

His appearance was impeccable; he was exceedingly handsome, and his demeanor was exceptional. With his silver hair fluttering and that transcendent aura, he truly lived up to his name.

In just one night, the Silver-Winged Celestial deeply impressed many, especially young women, who regarded him as utterly perfect.

Chu Feng also watched the video, his expression grave. He felt a sense of pressure and realized he needed to further enhance his own strength.

"He's skilled in a very mysterious boxing technique. Does Heaven's God Biological have a martial arts master teaching him?" he wondered skeptically.

The next day, Lin Naoi arrived and contacted Chu Feng directly, telling him someone would pick him up shortly.
