Chapter 379: Love at First Sight

A complete overturn! It was a profoundly strong sense of disbelief!

The woman before him was vastly different from his impression of her, her identity utterly inconsistent. If he hadn’t truly recognized her, he would never have dared to believe it.

She was a peerless ancient demon, a powerful evolver who had been suppressed for ages in the Taoist capital yet remained immortal, a classical beauty who had only recently escaped her seal after centuries of isolation. Yet, their reunion was entirely different from what he expected!

Her hair, as lustrous as silk, shimmered brightly with every step she took. She possessed a perfect, remarkably tall figure; even without her crystal high heels, she would stand at least 175 centimeters (5 feet 9 inches) tall.

She wore a one-shoulder dress, revealing her snow-white right shoulder and the fair, translucent skin above her chest, which then flowed into breathtaking curves.

The dress cinched at her incredibly slender waist, accentuating her graceful figure.

The skirt's hem reached only to her thighs, complementing the single-shoulder design. One side of the hem was cut shorter, striking a perfect balance between symmetry and asymmetry, revealing a pair of long, straight, and snow-white legs.

Her exposed legs, clearly drawing many eyes, were as delicate and snow-white as ivory, with a subtle sheen, perfectly straight, flawless, and seemingly supple.

The legendary “nine-heads body proportion” paled significantly in comparison to her.

Her feet, exquisitely beautiful and as fine as mutton-fat jade, were adorned with sparkling red nail polish. While such a vibrant color might appear overly flamboyant on others, on her, it merely enhanced an otherworldly beauty, the brilliant red contrasting perfectly with her luminous white skin.

Beneath her, crystal high heels perfectly showcased her small yet flawless feet, which gleamed with dazzling allure.

Evidently, anyone in the room with even a slight foot fetish was utterly mesmerized, their eyes fixated.

In fact, whether it was her delicate, graceful feet, her long, snow-white legs, or her slender waist, her lower body alone possessed an overwhelming allure, leaving some in the room unsure where to direct their gaze.

Her face was flawlessly beautiful: long eyelashes framed eyes that were both lively and profound, a graceful, straight nose, and vibrant red lips that were incredibly sensual, glistening with a captivating wet sheen.

This was completely unlike the mysterious and powerful great demon Chu Feng remembered. Now, besides her ethereal elegance, she exuded a strong sense of individuality and fashion.

Chu Feng seriously wondered if he had mistaken her identity. Could an ancient evolver truly transform into such a modern city woman? The visual impact on him was immense.

On the twenty-seventh floor of Yunguang Building, the restaurant was renowned for its top-tier cuisine and service, attracting numerous celebrities.

Yet, all these prominent figures had now lost their composure. Many were utterly spellbound, their eyes wide and fixated on the woman, shocked and deeply infatuated by her beauty.

In the past, Chu Feng, the Great Black Ox, and their companions would scoff at tales of beauty captivating hearts, dismissing them as mere "wolf talk."

But now, the Great Black Ox couldn't tear his eyes away. The man transformed from the Northeast Tiger stared wide-eyed, and even the old man who was the Donkey King gazed fixedly.

These were powerful evolvers with exceptional willpower, yet they were so affected. What hope did others have?

The room fell silent, so quiet that a pin drop could be heard.

The woman's sudden appearance had truly sent ripples through everyone's hearts.

Beauty, it seemed, transcended all boundaries of gender and age, appealing to everyone. Even the Yellow Ox stood agape, and the Toad was utterly dumbfounded.

The woman from Mount Longhu remained serene and composed. Despite the collective gaze of everyone present, she appeared perfectly at ease, as if centuries of absence from the mortal world had done nothing to diminish her accustomed poise.

Undoubtedly, even in ancient times, her peerless beauty had made her the undeniable center of attention wherever she went.

Moments later, people slowly snapped out of their stupor. Some gasped, while others hastily fumbled for their phones, eager to capture this dreamlike beauty for their own admiration.

Even more daring individuals stepped forward, hoping to introduce themselves.

Even those who recognized Chu Feng and saw him there paid him no mind, seemingly ready to abandon him to approach the woman first.

“Looks like those tiger kidneys finally paid off. All that body-building wasn’t in vain,” the Toad blurted out, completely shattering the atmosphere.

The Great Black Ox unceremoniously thumped the Toad on the head, while the Old Donkey nudged it, reminding it to keep such brutally honest thoughts to itself.

The Northeast Tiger, meanwhile, pushed the Toad to the back, preventing it from speaking further. He then straightened his shirt and stepped forward, murmuring to himself, “Forget those ‘White Tigers’ from other realms, how pedestrian. Today, I feel like I’ve returned to my youth—it’s love at first sight!”

In his human form, he cut a handsome, tall figure. He strode forward, carefully formulating his words: “Beautiful fairy, it is an immense honor to meet you, to encounter you…”

Just then, the even more robust Great Black Ox pushed him aside. He shed his black suit and sunglasses, taking on the demeanor of a mob boss, and thrust the items into the Northeast Tiger’s hand as if the latter were his subordinate carrying his bag, completely upstaging him.

“Greetings, esteemed lady, I am Guan Guhan,” he announced directly, introducing himself right away.

This was a name the Great Black Ox had chosen for himself, drawing inspiration from Hangu Pass, claiming it had profound and ineffable significance.

After his greeting, he quietly sighed, seemingly both to encourage himself and to find an excuse for his directness.

“I’m reminded of old memories from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,” he murmured, “that spring hundreds of years ago, with the light rain slanting down. My heart trembled then, seeing that ethereal and peerlessly gentle face, and it made me think of my innocent, sweet youth. That very same feeling has resurfaced today.”

The Northeast Tiger, pushed aside, his nose practically twisted in annoyance, was thoroughly disgusted by the soft murmuring. He actually felt goosebumps prickle his skin.

“What’s he talking about?” the Toad interjected ill-advisedly, asking in a low voice.

“Hundreds of years ago,” the Old Donkey informed him, “the Old Ox’s first love was a green ox on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.”

“Holy cow! He can praise a female yak like that?” the Toad exclaimed, his hair standing on end. “Isn’t comparing her to that an insult to this goddess-like sister?” He then pushed his large belly forward, muscling his way in front of the Great Black Ox.

“You little bean sprout, you’re no bigger than a fly! What are you doing meddling?”

“You’re even smaller than the Yellow Ox, go play in the mud!”

The Great Black Ox and the Northeast Tiger teamed up to pull him back, communicating their annoyance telepathically to avoid openly disparaging him.

Afterward, the two awkwardly and cringingly exerted themselves, showering her with compliments.

They were utterly shameless, each trying to outdo the other, even subtly hinting at "love at first sight."

Chu Feng pressed a hand to his forehead, unable to watch. He longed to call them "sirs" and implore, “Can we please not seek death like this?!”

In fact, others were no better. Many so-called celebrities and powerful evolvers, including several scions of major financial syndicates, crowded forward.

Previously, these individuals, especially the direct descendants of the major syndicates, had been terrified of Chu Feng, constantly fearing his retribution.

Now, however, they cast all caution aside. Even Qi Sheng, the eldest grandson of Qi Honglin from the Pre-Qin Research Institute—whom Chu Feng had nearly beaten to death—was now fawning over the woman with a plastered smile, completely disregarding Chu Feng.

On the twenty-seventh floor of Yunguang Building, she was like the moon surrounded by stars; everyone had gathered around her.

Only a few individuals, however, looked suspicious. Upon reviewing their photos, they discovered that the images were blank—nothing had been captured.

Of course, some did manage to capture a hazy, indistinct figure, as if she were shielded by a mysterious force, preventing a clear image.

They wondered if there was an issue with their cameras.

Chu Feng tugged at the Great Black Ox and the Northeast Tiger, hoping to draw them away.

“Don’t pull me, brother!” the Great Black Ox declared, turning back. “My spring has arrived! For hundreds of years, I haven’t felt a romantic stir, but now, in an instant, I feel youthful and vibrant, like I’m eighteen again.” Then, with a suspicious look, he added, “Why are you pulling me? You aren’t… I warn you, we’re close, we’re brothers, but this is a matter of personal prowess. No backing down!”

The Northeast Tiger was equally direct, telling Chu Feng with righteous indignation, “I believe my second spring has arrived! Brother, don’t try to stop me, and it would be best if you didn’t compete with me!”

Chu Feng desperately wanted to slap both of them. He secretly sent a mental message: “Big brothers, sirs, you cannot afford to provoke that woman. If you don’t want to die, follow me immediately and don’t say another word!”

However, his warning was utterly useless. Both of them looked at him with unanimous suspicion and disdain.

“Brother, we know you’re a trickster,” they telepathically replied. “Trying to send us away? No chance!” In their eyes, Chu Feng had a history of trying to swindle financial syndicates, which made them particularly wary.

However, to everyone’s surprise, the serene and peerlessly stunning woman, with graceful, swaying steps, parted the crowd and walked directly towards Chu Feng.

She said nothing, merely raised her radiant, beautiful chin, gesturing for Chu Feng to follow, and proceeded towards a luxurious private room ahead.

Chu Feng’s head felt as large as a bucket. No one knew better than him just how powerful this woman truly was. Even the supreme artifact in the Taoist capital, the green gourd, couldn’t contain her; she had shattered it with sheer force.

Despite her elegant demeanor and fashionable appearance, heaven alone knew the terrifying energy contained within her delicate, snow-white, and seemingly ethereal body.

Chu Feng estimated that if she were to unleash her full power, she could effortlessly level a giant city in an instant—and that was a conservative estimate.

Seeing his hesitation, the woman turned back, still perfectly serene, her profound, beautiful eyes fixed on Chu Feng.

As her long eyelashes fluttered and her beautiful eyes blinked, many people—regardless of age or gender—were instantly mesmerized by her allure, falling into a stunned trance.

Only Chu Feng’s muscles tensed, as if facing a formidable foe, his hairs standing on end. He still remembered the day she had blinked, shattering divine golden chains and collapsing the demon-refining grounds of the Taoist capital, causing thousands of miles of land to fall into ruin and vast fissures to spread rapidly.

The crowd, however, was consumed by jealousy and envy towards Chu Feng. After all, the woman was signaling him to accompany her, her long eyelashes fluttering as she winked at him, a distinct favor she showed to no one else.

“Boss has definitely fallen for her,” Du Huaijin remarked, having arrived with Ouyang Qing and others just in time to witness the scene. “Look, he can’t even move.”

“Indeed,” the Old Donkey nodded, “could it be love at first sight? Is he too flustered to walk?”

The Toad, Ouyang Feng, was even more blunt: “Chu Feng, you’re pathetic! Go on, follow her! Did you eat those tiger kidneys for nothing?!”

Hearing this, the Great Black Ox and the Northeast Tiger both scowled, wanting to punch the Toad.

As for Chu Feng himself, he wished he could just flatten the Toad then and there.

Love at first sight, my foot!

When Chu Feng first saw her, he was undeniably stunned by her extraordinary beauty. But now, he felt a chilling terror. Should he flee, or should he follow?

He knew full well that before this woman escaped, she had tempted everyone to attack the green gourd and help her break the external field symbols.

However, Chu Feng had simply picked the external stone fruits, turned around, and fled, offering no assistance whatsoever. Could she be planning to settle a score with him now?

Ultimately, Chu Feng followed her, entering the private room. He appeared surprisingly docile, a stark contrast to his usual demeanor!

This, however, caused those outside to glare with murderous envy.

“Chu Feng has fallen, haven’t you noticed?” the Old Donkey remarked. “Normally, his mouth is so vulgar and crude, but now he can’t even speak. He looks completely like a young virgin, a classic case of youthful innocence and infatuation.”
