Chapter 372: Violent Aesthetics

The Dark Nether Roc King lay pinned to the ground, his mouth and nose streaked with crimson blood, a truly wretched sight. Excruciating pain wracked his body, and his face was almost disfigured from the repeated blows it had just taken.

Even worse, Chu Feng was now standing on him, looking down, an unbearable humiliation for a proud member of the Roc race.

He had journeyed across the cosmos, filled with anticipation for Earth, once a place of unparalleled glory but now utterly diminished. He knew that beneath this land lay something capable of stirring the entire star sea.

Yet, he had never imagined that he would be brutally beaten the moment he arrived, not by someone from another star system, but by a mere native who was now stepping on him, looking down, and relentlessly pummeling him.

He had thoroughly researched Earth, knowing that its powerful ancient races had been completely eradicated, their bloodlines severed, with only descendants of mixed and impure lineage remaining.

In his view, the planet was utterly ruined, having been barren for so many years, making it impossible for powerful evolutionaries to emerge. Yet, here he was, being mercilessly beaten.

This was simply unacceptable. He was a young genius who had traveled billions of miles, only to be beaten by a local native? It was utterly ridiculous!

Another foot landed, causing excruciating pain in his chest as two of his bones audibly creaked and snapped.

One could only imagine the power behind that kick. After all, he was a Roc, a creature of rare and precious bloodline, possessing an incredibly strong physical body that most evolutionaries couldn't even scratch.

"Well, speak up," Chu Feng taunted. "How do you like my barbaric combat technique? I think it's simple and direct, much better than your flashy, ostentatious tricks."

The Dark Nether Roc King glared, struggled violently, and managed to break free from Chu Feng’s foot, preparing to shoot into the sky.

However, a punch was waiting for him. Chu Feng had clearly allowed him to get up on purpose, and as the Roc ascended, a fist shot forward, slamming into his body.

With a resounding thud, the Dark Nether Roc King was sent flying sideways once more, blood streaming from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.

Simultaneously, Chu Feng followed at seven times the speed of sound, striking him again in mid-air, as if intending to utterly shatter him.

Just then, the Dark Nether Roc King suddenly shrieked, almost going mad. The sound was so piercing that Chu Feng felt a splitting headache.

In an instant, black ripples engulfed the entire area—terrifying sound waves, an incredibly fearsome combat technique!

Realizing he was about to be killed, the Dark Nether Roc King went berserk, unleashing everything he had. Like wailing ghosts and howling wolves, his Roc’s Sky-Screeching Art rampaged across the summit of Mount Song.

In an instant, the air exploded, the surroundings blurred, and the very space became unstable.

An ordinary person caught in this would undoubtedly be torn apart, ripped into fragments, as the power of these sound waves was simply too immense.

One could see massive boulders, weighing tens of thousands of pounds, and the cliff face itself crumbling, turning directly into fine dust.

Even the foundation of the ancient millennium-old temple behind the Dark Nether Roc King, which contained field symbols, now exploded into dust. The entire mountaintop was laid waste, all structures utterly destroyed.

The black sound wave energy ripples in the void swept over like sword light, causing excruciating pain to Chu Feng’s skin, with blood beginning to seep through. Had he not activated his energy defense, his body would have been ripped apart.

A flood dragon’s roar erupted as Chu Feng unleashed his Flood Dragon Demonic Sound Wave Technique to counter the attack, simultaneously forming a fist seal and smashing it forward.

In an instant, dragon roars and roc screeches intertwined. The two sets of ripples collided, making the void rumble, and as the air exploded, a gray, misty substance dispersed.

The Dark Nether Roc King charged, intending to kill Chu Feng in close combat.

Chu Feng remained unfazed. A dragon-like roar rumbled from his throat, and two golden rays shot from his eyes, piercing through the Roc King’s body with a *puffing* sound.

However, something strange occurred: the Dark Nether Roc King’s splattered blood didn't fall to the ground. Instead, it coalesced into chains that coiled around Chu Feng.

"Dragon Binding Art!"

With a sizzling sound, the Dark Nether Roc King’s unique black blood transformed into dark-gold divine chains, locking Chu Feng in place, intending to restrain him.

At this point, both halted their sound wave techniques.

"Native," the Dark Nether Roc King sneered, "I must say, your techniques are far too crude, truly inferior!"

At the same time, he manifested his true wings, jet-black and gleaming, shielding himself and unleashing energy to counter the golden light shooting from Chu Feng’s eyes.

"Die!"

He roared, and the blood-formed chains suddenly tightened, attempting to sever Chu Feng alive.

"What kind of technique is this? Too fragile!" Chu Feng scoffed softly. With a violent struggle, all the chains on his body shattered and broke apart.

Simultaneously, he stretched his limbs and landed a punch squarely on the Dark Nether Roc King’s face. A sickening crunch indicated clearly broken bones.

Chu Feng delivered a flying kick, sending him sprawling horizontally, then pounced, unleashing a barrage of heavy blows.

In mere moments, the Dark Nether Roc King was nearly dazed by the assault. Those were chains forged from his energy and a small amount of his true blood—how could they have been torn apart so easily?

It was crucial to understand that those chains contained traces of true Roc blood, the very essence of the blood within his body!

If a Roc in this era could revert to its ancestral bloodline, it would undoubtedly stand alongside divine beasts, a primordial divine bird capable of obliterating an entire planet on its own.

However, truly pure-blooded Rocs are extremely rare, even throughout the cosmos.

The Dark Nether Roc King was, of course, merely a descendant of an ancestral Roc. Its black feathers indicated an impure bloodline, but even so, it had still evolved some true Roc blood.

Yet, this true blood, mixed with energy, utterly failed to restrain Chu Feng!

"Aooo!"

With a piercing, prolonged shriek, he howled in fury, transforming instantly into his true form. His colossal size was horrifying, easily capable of crushing mountains!

Chu Feng showed no fear. He opened his mouth and unleashed Geng Jin Sword Qi, instantly carving dozens of terrible bloody gashes across the colossal creature.

One snow-white beam of Geng Jin Sword Qi nearly severed its neck.

The Dark Nether Roc King’s body rapidly shrank to only ten feet in length. Spreading its wings and extending its talons, it lunged at Chu Feng. This was its true form, allowing it to unleash its innate abilities.

Its talons were truly fearsome, terrifyingly sharp.

Chu Feng unleashed his flying sword, hacking at the Roc’s talons. It was almost like letting a dog attack a bird.

Boom!

The Dark Nether Roc King’s wings came slicing down, more terrifying than a heavenly blade, horrifyingly sharp, and surging with black light.

However, Chu Feng blocked it with a single punch.

Chu Feng opened his mouth and spewed out snow-white Geng Jin Sword Qi, piercing several bloody holes in the Roc’s body and instantly making it bleed profusely.

"Ah!" the Dark Nether Roc King shrieked, the pain utterly unbearable. It tried to unleash its sound wave technique again.

But this time, Chu Feng gave him no opportunity. The two were now so close that Chu Feng unleashed a furious barrage, combining the true forms of Ox Demon Fist and Flood Dragon Demon Fist to strike towards the Roc King’s mouth.

*Bang, bang, bang!*

What followed was a brutal close-quarters beating. Punch after punch slammed into its body, sending feathers flying everywhere.

Then, the sound of bones snapping and crackling filled the air.

Chu Feng was in a furious rage, giving the Roc no quarter, wishing to kill it instantly.

Nevertheless, the Roc’s physical body was remarkably strong. Despite many broken bones, limp wings, and twisted, fractured talons, it still emanated powerful energy.

Of course, its survival was a result of Chu Feng's intentional restraint. Although he wanted to kill it, he also hoped to extract valuable information from it.

For instance, the application of energy was a technique Chu Feng greatly desired to learn.

*Bang, bang, bang!*

Chu Feng lifted it and continued the brutal beating, causing the Roc’s chest to collapse and its wings to fracture into multiple segments.

With a sharp *snap*, a section of its beak was even sliced off by the Geng Jin Sword Qi unleashed by Chu Feng!

"Ah!" the Dark Nether Roc King shrieked, the pain utterly unbearable. This was simply inhuman torture. It had never imagined being beaten so savagely.

As Chu Feng landed his final few punches, the Dark Nether Roc King suffered at least dozens of fractures all over its body, utterly collapsing to the ground, unable to move.

"So, how about my technique?" Chu Feng scoffed at it. "This is barbaric violent aesthetics!"

He was very irritated by this Roc. It had been far too arrogant, earlier looking down on him and repeatedly calling him "native" and "aborigine," as if it were a supreme deity.

"Serves you right, still showing off, huh?!" The toad scurried over excitedly and loudly bellowed, "Arrogant Dragon Regrets!"

With a thud, it delivered a "Toad Palm" directly to the Dark Nether Roc King, sending him flying sideways and tumbling across the ground.

The Dark Nether Roc King lay some distance away, so enraged he nearly fainted. What had he just seen? A mere toad had dared to lay hands on him!

Chu Feng glared at the toad. "Be careful," he said. "I've already crippled it. If you keep messing with it like this, the meat will be spoiled, and we won't be able to eat it if it's too damaged!"

"Damaged meat can be used for porridge!" the toad declared ferociously.

On the ground, the Dark Nether Roc King was so enraged by these words he almost coughed up blood. A disgusting crawling creature wanted to eat him?

The toad raised its head, glanced at the Roc, and stated, "What are you staring at? I am a divine beast; my bloodline is nobler than yours. A mixed-blood bird like you is nothing in my presence."

*Pfft!*

The Dark Nether Roc King immediately coughed up a mouthful of blood, purely out of rage. He felt this was truly a case of "a roc falling into a flat land being bullied by a toad." Dammit, he simply couldn't accept a mere toad speaking to him like this!

"Don't glare," Chu Feng added. "You really aren't as good as this toad."

*Pfft!* The Dark Nether Roc King couldn't endure the provocation any longer. After spitting out a mouthful of blood, he immediately fainted.

"Wake up." It was unknown how much time had passed, but a voice called out near the Dark Nether Roc King’s ear. The moment he opened his eyes, he let out an enraged roar.

Most of his feathers were gone, his entire body was in excruciating pain, and a toad was laboriously plucking his remaining plumage.

"You—" He felt his vision dim, almost fainting from sheer indignation again. A proud Roc, being treated like this by a mere toad! He truly wished he could just smash his head against a rock and die.

At the same time, he saw Chu Feng, the old ape, and all the people he had imprisoned being released from the back of the mountain.

"Dad, Mom," Chu Feng was saying to his parents, "go wash up first, get some rest to calm your nerves. Later, we’ll have a big feast."

The old ape’s expression was a mixture of complex emotions, filled with immense wonder. He had never imagined Chu Feng could be so incredibly powerful, beating the Dark Nether Roc King into a near-crippled state. It was simply unimaginable!

Chu Zhiyuan and Wang Jing were disheveled and dirty. Having been imprisoned for so long, it would have been truly dangerous for them had they not been extraordinary individuals.

Upon seeing Chu Feng, despite their suffering, they were now beaming. Their son was so powerful, having defeated an alien creature and rescued them. Both were filled with joy and relief.

"Speak," Chu Feng pressed the Roc King. "You know what I want to get out of you."

"Hmph, you won’t get anything from me," the Dark Nether Roc King sneered, still defiant, glaring sideways, and utterly uncooperative. "I'd rather die than speak."

"Then there's nothing more to say," Chu Feng stated, turning to some small monkeys. "One iron pot isn't enough to stew it. Prepare two more barbecue grills."

"You wouldn't dare!" the Dark Nether Roc King roared in fury.

Then, he shrieked again as the toad continued plucking his feathers with even greater ferocity, swiftly stripping all his black plumage clean.

"Is this really a Roc?" the toad asked doubtfully. "To me, it looks more like a giant, featherless rooster."

"Boom!"

The Roc roared in fury, manifesting its true form, instantly filling the mountaintop. Nearly eight hundred meters long, its colossal size sent a group of monkeys scattering in chaotic panic.

"It's so big, we won't be able to eat it all," the toad said, clicking its tongue.

Not far away, an iron pot was boiling water, and two barbecue grills were also brought over.

Chu Feng said, "Hmm, this is the first alien I've captured, and it’s a Roc. If I can make it submit and follow me as a subordinate, that wouldn't be bad. All aliens acknowledging me as their big brother—what a great omen!" His perverse sense of humor had clearly taken over.

"You’re dreaming!" the Roc retorted coldly.

Chu Feng’s face instantly fell. "Roast it for me!" he shouted. "Cumin-flavored, spicy-flavored—I want them all!"

"Actually, stewed is even tastier!" the toad added.

How brutal! A group of monkeys clicked their tongues in disbelief. This was a Roc, a creature that had once suppressed Mount Song and captured all of them, yet now it was about to become food for the Demonic King Chu.

"If you don’t submit, then die," Chu Feng declared, issuing his final ultimatum to the Dark Nether Roc King. "We'll eat you slowly!"

Down the mountain, countless people waited, none knowing what was truly happening on Mount Song.

Earlier, sounds had been heard, but they were faint and indistinct, as a field on the mountain isolated everything.

"No need to overthink it," someone said. "Chu Feng won't survive. He wanted to fiercely battle a Roc? He's probably been tortured to death."

"Hmm, even if he miraculously survived, it's likely that demonic bird deliberately spared his life just to torture him."

At this moment, evolutionaries from various countries were all awaiting news.

Even large numbers of people worldwide were watching a live broadcast, but unfortunately, the filming equipment on the mountain couldn't capture the situation within the field.

"Heh," someone scoffed, "need I say more? Chu Feng overestimated himself and is certainly dead. Who else could have saved him besides our Primordial Magnetic Immortal Cave? Yet, he foolishly refused to join us."

A being from the Arctic shook his head and spoke with a nonchalant smile.

"Princess Lin," another person commented, "your bet with him is meaningless. He’s just a dead man."

At that moment, those watching the live broadcast suddenly gasped as a figure appeared in the woodland captured by the camera: someone had walked out of the field!

Simultaneously, some bolder individuals who had ascended the mountain were now astonished. They detected an indescribable, rich aroma that refused to dissipate—the tantalizing scent of cooked meat, making their mouths water.

"Oh my god!" a strange thought arose in someone's mind. Could that person really...?

"Impossible!" someone quickly interjected. "I bet Chu Feng was roasted by the Roc King instead!"

Soon after, the rich aroma could be smelled even halfway down the mountain and at its very foot.
