Chapter 344: Bathing in Dragon Blood

A gigantic bowl, large enough to bathe in, descended from the sky, plummeting towards the ground.

People stared in astonishment. It was an enormous stone bowl, dark and murky inside, seemingly filled with black liquid. As it plunged, it swayed, threatening to spill its contents.

At first, a swift-reacting group had intended to rush forward and claim it, but upon witnessing this scene, they all stampeded backward in a panic.

"Take me with you!" Chu Feng shrieked.

He found himself inexplicably paralyzed. The small millstone within him was pulling the object, and an inexplicable force now held him captive, preventing him from moving.

However, the group showed little loyalty. Not only were the corporate elites fleeing, but even the rebellious girl who had called him "handsome bro" was now running away as if from a viper, unwilling to touch the object.

The scene as the object descended was too startling; dog barks emanated from the enormous stone bowl, and the dark liquid was utterly horrifying.

As it plummeted, black liquid splattered, emitting dark smoke into the air.

The old Grandmaster wanted to intervene, but he was too far away. He had earlier followed Chu Feng's instructions, guarding the entrance out of concern that the divine beast cub might escape.

He had arrived later and was not near Chu Feng.

This massive bowl of dark liquid, accompanied by barking, was simply too bizarre; no one dared to touch it.

"Whoosh!"

At this critical moment, Lin Nuoyi, positioned some distance away, threw a rock that struck the large bowl precisely.

With a clang, the bowl wobbled but remained on its trajectory, plummeting directly towards Chu Feng.

From the bowl's rim, incessant dog barks erupted, and black liquid splattered, making the scene above him utterly bizarre.

Chu Feng cried out in despair, "This is awful!"

The black and white millstone inside him had targeted this large bowl. The two objects were powerfully drawn to each other, making it impossible for him to avoid the impact.

Even when he secretly tried to use his mental energy, he couldn't deflect the large bowl.

What kind of strange bowl was this that it rendered his physical and mental extraordinary abilities useless?

With a *thud*, the massive bowl struck Chu Feng, making him see stars. Black liquid splattered, drenching him completely, as the dog barks continued without cease.

It was truly eerie; was some malevolent entity at play?

Chu Feng wanted to curse and swear vehemently. It was utterly unfortunate that he couldn't dodge, literally drenched in "dog blood"—what terrible luck.

In this area, black mist billowed, and black liquid splattered. Vaguely, it seemed as if a dark dog was thrashing about, running here and there, howling continuously.

Chu Feng felt peculiar because the large bowl shattered instantly upon impact, and something unidentifiable drilled into his body.

Soon, he was shocked as he realized what it was.

A black substance!

It was the same kind of substance as the small millstone within him. For Golden Arhat-level evolutionaries, this was a sacred elixir, offering immense benefits.

However, for lower-level evolutionaries, it was a deadly poison.

This substance is usually found in uninhabited, remote areas of the universe and is exceptionally rare, even for Demon Saints to locate.

Moreover, it is typically encased in a stone shell, making it opaque and impossible to see through.

This stone bowl was, in fact, that specialized stone casing, concealing the black substance within. With the bowl now shattered, the unique substance flowed out, pouring into Chu Feng's body.

Chu Feng finally understood why the black and white millstone had attracted it, causing a resonance between them, and even a slight sensation of hunger.

It was a substance of the same origin!

The black liquid fumed, and a large dog continued to bark incessantly.

No one noticed that as the black liquid splattered, a dense substance emerged from the stone bowl, flowing into Chu Feng's body like a cloud of smoke.

The onlookers only saw a scene of chaos: the black liquid continually evaporated upon hitting the ground, dense black mist billowed, and strange sounds, including the persistent barking, filled the air.

"Handsome bro, are you alright? You're so incredibly unlucky, truly a classic case of being drenched in dog blood!" The rebellious girl blinked her large, watery eyes, feigning sympathy.

Yet, moments before, she had been the first to flee, offering no rescue, completely repulsed by the black liquid and intent on keeping her distance.

Chu Feng feigned an expression of sorrow and indignation, concealing his inner shock. He had truly not anticipated the dense black substance spreading and entering his body.

However, for him, it was no longer a deadly poison; instead, it had become a potent tonic.

The black and white millstone inside him was spinning furiously, rapidly absorbing and desperately drawing in this substance.

He realized that the substance which formed the small millstone within him had originally been scarce, but now there was ample supply.

In fact, locating this substance was incredibly difficult; one might not encounter it even after traversing countless star worlds. Yet, here it was, on this altar, as a sacrificial offering.

Despite being drenched in black liquid, Chu Feng secretly rejoiced.

This substance was akin to a powerful supplement for the small millstone.

Chu Feng began to understand: after its formation, the black and white millstone had remained still, encased in a membrane-like substance and seemingly undergoing cultivation. This was likely due to a lack of nutrients.

Now, that problem was perfectly resolved!

As he introspected, he noticed that after the black substance was absorbed, half of it spontaneously transformed into a silver substance, which was truly astounding.

According to the yellow ox, such a mutation was considered almost impossible, incredibly rare, spoken of only in legends within the strongest ten star worlds.

Yet, he could now effortlessly convert it into a silver substance via the small millstone.

Ultimately, the black substance, like a cloud of smoke, was entirely absorbed by the small millstone, becoming black and white. It solidified to an unprecedented degree.

This substance typically existed between matter and energy, but now it had almost completely materialized!

At this moment, Chu Feng felt utterly content, as if he wanted to burp from satisfaction.

The black and white millstone became hazy once more, enveloped by a layer of mist that exuded wisps of what seemed like immortal energy, completely submerging it.

He knew that the millstone had received all the necessary nourishment and would advance further, likely emerging soon.

He ceased his introspection and focused on his external appearance. What a truly miserable and pathetic sight he was, drenched in black liquid, soaked from head to toe.

To outsiders, he stood motionless, as if completely stunned by the impact.

"Brother Chu Feng, are you alright?" someone asked.

Jiang Luoshen, the old Grandmaster, Lin Nuoyi, and several others approached him, regarding him with a speechless expression.

"What could possibly be wrong with me? I've bathed in dragon blood! Heaven has bestowed a blessing upon me! You don't understand, this is an immense stroke of luck!" Chu Feng spouted nonsense with a straight face.

Everyone was speechless. "Bathed in dragon blood"? That was clearly black liquid, and there had even been dog barks! How utterly bizarre.

At that moment, however, someone shrieked—it was the old Taoist priest. With a slightly excited expression, he grabbed his granddaughter and ran forward, charging towards Chu Feng.

"Those who see get a share, give me some black liquid!" he surprisingly yelled, reaching Chu Feng in an instant and extending his hand to touch him, eager to be stained by the black liquid.

The rebellious girl shrieked, her face paling in fright, struggling desperately to escape.

"Ah, help me! Old man, let me go, this is so disgusting!"

"This is ten-thousand-year-old black liquid, full of benefits you don't understand. Its value is immense, otherwise, why would it be used as a sacrifice?" The old Taoist priest held her firmly, speaking as he smeared some onto her tender young face.

"Ow!" The rebellious girl shrieked, immediately trying to bite him.

What was happening?

Everyone was dumbfounded, their expressions baffled.

"This isn't actual dog liquid, but blood birthed from stone. Blood that is ten thousand years old will contain animal cries, such as those of dogs, cats, or leopards. If it's over a hundred thousand years old, it will even have dragon roars. But you wouldn't understand!"

As he spoke, the old Taoist priest swiftly drew black liquid from Chu Feng's damp clothes, smearing it on himself and on the rebellious girl.

Everyone was stunned, as if they had seen a ghost. Could this be true? The old man didn't seem to be lying; why would he deliberately disgust himself like this?

After all, he had smeared a significant amount onto himself.

Everyone watched in silence, with only the old Taoist priest's granddaughter screaming miserably, kicking and biting, stubbornly refusing to cooperate.

"Could it really be that kind of liquid?!" Just then, the old woman, who was burned to only half her body, revealed a strange expression. With a *whoosh*, she darted forward, also beginning to claim some of the liquid.

At the same time, she gestured for Lin Nuoyi to follow her example.

The entire group was speechless.

*Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...*

Subsequently, a large crowd surged forward. Seeing that even the extraterrestrial individuals had done so, they hesitated no longer and began to follow suit.

"You perverts!" Chu Feng yelled.

He was already miserable enough, and now he was being touched and pulled from all sides. What a sight he had become.

"You don't need that much; just a little bit of its aura is sufficient. Too much won't help," the old Taoist priest kindly advised, pulling his granddaughter and moving out of the surging crowd.

"I don't want to live anymore! You horrid old man, even if I like handsome bro Chu Feng, I certainly don't want to be stained with that black liquid from him!" the rebellious girl wailed miserably.

Chu Feng found it utterly baffling; he was being scrambled over, even by some old individuals.

"Old monk, you're over a hundred years old, yet you're still groping me indiscriminately!" Chu Feng shrieked.

At the same time, he glared at some of the female kings, declaring, "Maintain some decorum!"

When quiet finally settled, almost everyone had smeared some black liquid on themselves, including Lin Nuoyi and Jiang Luoshen, whose pristine white faces now bore numerous black streaks.

"Old Taoist priest, you're not pulling our leg, are you?!"

In the end, someone suddenly became alert, realizing how utterly bizarre this was.

"Don't rush; changes will happen soon. I can tell you, I've just given you all a great stroke of fortune; it simply depends on whether you are blessed enough to receive it," the old Taoist priest said calmly.

Suddenly, Chu Feng was the first to undergo a change.

Bursts of dark light emanated from his body, which then suddenly became crystalline, enveloped in a dark sheen that made his skin appear remarkably translucent.

Everyone was startled; there really *were* changes!

What was happening? People stared at Chu Feng in astonishment. His body glowed with points of light; if it weren't for the dark hue, it would have appeared dazzling, as if he were about to ascend to immortality.

Not only his body but even his hair was affected, enveloped by a thin, shimmering layer of light.

Everyone watched in astonishment, eager to see what changes he would ultimately undergo.
