Chapter 314: 扶我起来

Suddenly, unrest spread everywhere. A mysterious object from beyond the heavens crashed into the South Sea, putting everyone on edge, but people on land had no way to access the vast ocean. People only knew that the South Sea was in chaos, as hegemon-level powerhouses from the sea tribes battled fiercely, each desperate to obtain the ten-meter-tall metallic object.

"What exactly is it?" Major powers, both in the East and West, couldn't sit still. Some were worried, others envious.

However, these events were currently unrelated to Chu Feng. He and his companions had arrived at the Kunlun Mountains, where they were warmly received by the great demons, as if it were a festive celebration. This was because, during the last great battle at Dragon Tiger Mountain, Chu Feng had not only saved peerless masters like the Mastiff King but also rescued the Snow Leopard King, Horse King, and others. This was a life-saving kindness, and combined with their previous friendship, the Kings of the Kunlun Mountains were naturally exceedingly cordial.

"Come, Brother Chu Feng, let's drink and forget about those troublesome things," said the Horse King. "Even if you've regressed to an ordinary person, I, Old Horse, don't care. Now that you're here, you simply must meet my daughter; you absolutely can't miss it again. I'll call her back from that temple in Tibet later; she can't just cultivate all the time." The Horse King had drunk too much and was slurring his words. He put his arm around Chu Feng, his large bald head shining brightly, reeking of alcohol, and exuding an unbearable enthusiasm.

The Snow Leopard King also comforted Chu Feng, saying, "Brother, just rest and recuperate. When the mist in the deepest part of Kunlun dissipates and the Land of Ten Thousand Gods opens, perhaps you can recover there." They now understood that Chu Feng truly had a serious problem; he wasn't faking it. When his body was enveloped in black light, his energy strength had indeed fallen below the king-level domain.

"The Old Lama will return tomorrow," said the Tibetan Antelope King. "Then we'll go to the Himalayas together to seek a great opportunity. I believe it will definitely help Brother Chu Feng break the curse on him." The kings believed Chu Feng had been tainted by evil spirits, completely unaware of the formidable nature of the black substance. Some thought that entering an ancient Buddhist site might suppress or resolve it.

"Everyone rest well; we will depart in a few days!" said the Mastiff King, who held great prestige there. Chu Feng had saved his life at Dragon Tiger Mountain, so the Mastiff King felt that if they went to that ancient temple this time, he must find a way to help Chu Feng resolve his misfortune.

After the banquet, the Yellow Ox thoroughly examined Chu Feng and was also stunned to find it exactly as Chu Feng had described: the mysterious substance was indeed transforming between black and silver.

The next day, the Old Lama returned, accompanied by the Old Lion, who had now been completely subdued and converted to Buddhism. The Old Lion had once claimed to be invincible and could rank among the top ten masters, but now he was very submissive, serving as the Old Lama's mount. From a distance, the Old Lama truly resembled a Golden Arhat. As promised, he cut his wrist and offered some blood to the Yellow Ox. However, after the Yellow Ox processed the blood of the kings and the Old Lama, a strange phenomenon occurred when he attempted to cleanse Chu Feng's body: the blood was incinerated into ash before it even came close.

"Although I knew the effect wouldn't be great, I didn't expect it to be like this," said the Yellow Ox, perplexed. He told Chu Feng that the substance within his body was beyond imagination and currently unsolvable.

"Don't worry, I'll slowly adapt to it myself," Chu Feng said. He was not pessimistic because while the black substance did weaken him, the appearance of the silver substance allowed him to recover and even become stronger. After arriving at Kunlun Mountains, he gradually began to understand some of the underlying principles. Perhaps this experience was not a bad thing for him, but rather an opportunity. The black substance corroded his physical body and spiritual energy; however, from another perspective, it might be a process of rigorous tempering, removing "impurities." The silver substance enhanced his strength, while the black substance plunged him into hell. Constantly fluctuating between peaks and valleys, this was a form of tempering.

When the Rubik's Cube-like metallic object descended from beyond the domain, the clouds in the sky were torn apart, and the sun appeared, but now it was gloomy again. However, the heavy snowfall had reduced to light flakes, which was a small mercy, but no one knew when clear skies would return. The Thousand Star Vines that had appeared earlier above major cities—vines that grew out of thin air—were still vibrant and alive in the wind and snow, fearless of the bitter cold. Furthermore, during this period, rumors emerged that some people had climbed the vines again and obtained strange boxing manuals and other items.

"There are extraterrestrial inheritances above the divine vines!"

It was unclear exactly when this news began to spread, but in the past two days, it had intensified. Furthermore, it could now be confirmed that this was not a groundless rumor; beings truly obtained strange methods, causing a huge sensation.

"What's going on?!" Chu Feng was puzzled and asked the Yellow Ox. In fact, all major powers were surprised and somewhat uneasy.

"Some inheritors from other worlds can't come over yet and are looking for ways," the Yellow Ox explained. "They are seeking representatives, passing down some techniques, and looking for people to work for them!"

"Isn't this going to lead to great chaos?" Chu Feng frowned.

The Yellow Ox said, "This world is too tempting. As the ice and snow recede, the major famous mountains will revive, and various sacred trees will appear, surely bearing abundant fruits. Even Heavenly Maidens and Divine Sons will be envious, so they naturally have to manifest divine signs and use means to win people over to serve them."

Chu Feng was displeased; his body was currently problematic, and if the sacred trees on the famous mountains appeared one after another, laden with ripe fruits, it would truly be an inopportune time.

"Don't worry, if the true masters can't cross over themselves, everything is illusory," the Yellow Ox scoffed. "Their so-called representatives won't amount to anything."

"Why don't I go climb the heavenly ladder too, become a representative for a bit, and trick them into giving me an inheritance?" Chu Feng said with a laugh.

"Good point!" the Black Ox nodded from the side.

The Yellow Ox said, "What good things could they possibly pass down? True foundational breathing techniques definitely won't be leaked, so ignore them. Let's still go to that ancient temple. If the Great Thunderous Sound Breathing Technique truly appears, it would be enough to make even Golden Bodhisattvas from beyond the domain envious!"

Two days later, more accurate news came from the South Sea. The so-called Rubik's Cube truly seemed to possess magic. It contained methods for giant snakes to transform into flood dragons and numerous inherited techniques of the sea tribes. That place had become an underwater sacred land. From then on, the struggle outside that sea eye grew even fiercer. All tribes wanted to secure a spot and hoped to get close to it.

Upon hearing the news, the Yellow Ox looked solemn and said, "I feel that metallic block in the sea is extraordinary. It's more willing to invest than the worlds behind the Thousand Star Vines. It might truly be establishing a sea tribe sect, recreating a sacred land on Earth!"

"It's that mysterious? Can we team up, break through, and seize that metallic block!?" The Black Ox's eyes gleamed with mischief.

"Do you have that much capability?" the Yellow Ox glanced at him. Because, according to the Yellow Ox, for that metallic block to descend and float here from a rift in the depths of the endless starry sky, Demon Saints, Golden Bodhisattvas, and others must have paid an immense price.

"This is no ordinary place," the Yellow Ox said seriously. "The patriarchs of supreme orthodoxies once bled here eons ago."

On the third day, news from the South Sea once again caused a sensation in the world. Some characters appeared on the metallic block, prompting various tribes to establish sects, create a new underwater order, and revive ancient glory. Patterns of many major races—the Flood Dragon Race, Underwater Human Race, Sea God Tiger, Mermaid Race, Patrolling Sea Yaksha, and others—appeared on the metallic block.

"No way, did the ancestors of these races create this metallic block together?" The Yellow Ox was startled. Of course, he hadn't been to the seabed, so he didn't know the details and couldn't make a judgment.

When the last world-shaking news from the South Sea spread, terrestrial beings could no longer remain calm. It was rumored that the metallic block had become semi-transparent, and inside, there was a woman, like a corpse yet seemingly in slumber, lying motionless within the metallic block.

"No way?" Even the Yellow Ox was greatly startled.

Finally, the Yellow Ox, the Old Lama, the Mastiff King, and a group of Kunlun great demons set off for the Himalayas to seek a great opportunity. Chu Feng stayed behind; after much consideration, the others did not let him take the risk.

"We should be back within half a month, regardless of success or failure," said the Yellow Ox. Chu Feng had originally intended to go, but in the end, he didn't insist, clearly knowing that his physical condition was unstable and that he would be in great danger if he encountered any unforeseen events. The Kunlun great demons rushed off because they felt pressured. Both the inheritances above the Thousand Star Vines and the metallic block at the seabed made them feel that the beings from beyond the domain were impatient and were trying every means to gain initiative, find representatives, and use external forces to participate in the struggle for the sacred trees on the famous mountains. A group of great demons from Kunlun Mountains secretly set off, not wanting to be discovered.

During this period, various rumors circulated outside, for example, that a powerful sea tribe had obtained methods to awaken ancient bloodlines from the metallic block. There were even rumors that some beings from beyond the domain had appeared in folded space and were about to truly break through.

In the following days, Chu Feng paid no attention to external matters. He dedicated himself to studying the strange substance within his body while also delving into the Domain Scripture. Studying this scripture in the Kunlun Mountains was arguably most suitable and uniquely advantageous because the place itself had very distinct domains that could release lightning; Chu Feng had once been tricked into one by the Vulture King and almost died. At the same time, the deep parts of Kunlun were mysterious, shrouded in mist, and contained other domains. Chu Feng initially only explored tentatively, but after several days, he became so engrossed that he forgot to eat and sleep, completely immersing himself. He discovered he had a considerable talent for studying domains, unknowingly gaining an entry point and figuring out many insights.

"Brother Chu, you're too focused; you don't seem to have a single worry," said the Snow Leopard King, who had arrived. Seeing Chu Feng exploring the depths of Kunlun and stroking the majestic mountain walls, he didn't know what to say. Because twenty days had passed in a flash, far exceeding the half-month that the Yellow Ox, Old Lama, and others had mentioned, yet they still hadn't returned.

"Ah, so much time has passed?" Chu Feng was startled, snapping out of his trance. He was now covered in dust, his clothes tattered. In recent days, he had been like one possessed, forgetting everything else and isolating himself from the outside world. At this moment, Chu Feng suddenly became worried. The Yellow Ox, Black Ox, and the others had not returned, which was truly ominous. For Kunlun, this was a terrible situation, because few king-level beings remained on the mountain; they had all gone to the Himalayas. If these people disappeared and never returned, how could Kunlun be defended? It would surely be divided and have its masters replaced!

What was worse, two days later, people from the sea tribe arrived, wanting to enter Kunlun Mountains!

"What's going on? Have the sea tribes advanced all the way to Kunlun Mountains?" Chu Feng was greatly surprised, realizing he had been oblivious these past days. In his study of the Domain Scripture, he had truly isolated himself from the world.

"Yes, a group of people came," the Snow Leopard King sighed. "They might have learned that Kunlun is empty, with all our masters gone and vanished in the Himalayas!"

"What should we do?!" Among the remaining inhabitants of Kunlun Mountains, there were no masters, and a group of lesser demons were all panicked.

"How many sea tribe members have come?!" Chu Feng asked.

"A large group of them!" the Snow Leopard King said with a serious expression.

"I'll go see if I can deal with them!" Chu Feng said.

On Kunlun Mountain, everyone present showed a strange, somewhat helpless expression, because they knew Chu Feng's body was problematic and he was no longer a peerless master.

"Don't you believe me? Help me over there," Chu Feng said. "Perhaps I can still manage one last battle!"

Everyone was speechless. Could he truly still fight? It seemed like he had already had his "last battle" twice!

"Help me up. Let's go see!"
