Chapter 231: Mythical Weapon

A smooth, flat, silver-gleaming aircraft, traveling far beyond supersonic speeds, appeared from the horizon.

Chu Feng and the Black Ox were just about to leave when they witnessed this astonishing scene: a flying saucer had inexplicably appeared, leaving them dumbfounded.

Everyone else was equally shocked. Was this a product of an extraterrestrial civilization?

“Hey, is anyone from the Institute of Extraterrestrial Civilizations here? Haven't you supposedly excavated a flying saucer before? Is that what this is?” someone shouted.

The Institute of Extraterrestrial Civilizations was another renowned conglomerate, on par with the Pre-Qin Research Institute, the Tonggu Alliance, and Heavenly God Biology. They had focused on studying extraterrestrial civilizations in their early days.

As people stood in bewildered suspense, the flying saucer swept across the sky, circling the mountainous area extensively, seemingly surveying Dragon Tiger Mountain.

“Are aliens going to attack Dragon Tiger Mountain?!” some wondered.

People were speechless. What was happening? The sudden appearance of an extraterrestrial civilization, with a flying saucer here, was undeniably huge news.

However, just as everyone was feeling apprehensive, the silver-gray flying saucer suddenly emitted a beam of light with terrifying energy, striking towards Chu Feng.

Chu Feng's hair stood on end. His king-level divine perception had given him an early warning. He quickly dodged aside, and a black crater immediately appeared where he had been, the ground completely pierced through.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Beam after beam of light rained down, all targeting Chu Feng. They were like astonishing divine rainbows, sharp and terrifying.

Witnessing this, everyone present was terrified. The power was incredibly potent; even a king-level being would likely perish if hit.

“Where did this flying saucer come from, and why is it launching targeted attacks?!” the Black Ox roared in alarm. This was truly bizarre. If it were the major powers attacking Chu Feng, that would be one thing, but did an extraterrestrial civilization have a vendetta against him?

He picked up a large stone and hurled it, its speed absolutely terrifying, like a rocket projectile, soaring into the sky.

However, it was utterly useless. Though he was incredibly strong and launched the stone high, it instantly disintegrated into dust upon reaching the flying saucer's perimeter, shredded by the light.

It was too strange; a flying saucer had appeared out of nowhere.

A beam of light flew towards the Black Ox. Startled, he reacted quickly, swiftly shifting his body to avoid the attack. Sure enough, a black hole also appeared in the ground where he had been.

“Ah…” Someone caught in the blast was hit by a light beam and instantly turned into a bloody mist. The energy was astonishing.

“Damn it!” a member of the Tonggu Alliance cursed bitterly, recognizing their fallen comrade.

Chu Feng was on the run, reacting to every early warning. This put him on the defensive. Finally, he pulled out the Great Thunder Sound Bow and began shooting arrows at the sky.

This sight petrified the crowd: the most primitive weapon, a bow and arrow, against a flying saucer?!

Yet, people had to admit that Chu Feng's arrows possessed astonishing power. Accompanied by the sound of wind and thunder and crackling with electricity, they soared straight into the sky, creating an incredible spectacle.

The power of these arrows was not as great as Chu Feng's flying swords, but their advantage lay in their long-range attack capability.

Still, seeing him shoot arrows at a flying saucer made people feel dizzy; it was simply too bizarre.

Unfortunately, despite their impressive power, the arrows were all intercepted mid-flight by beams from the flying saucer. The clash of energies created brilliant flashes of light, like fireworks.

“Head up Dragon Tiger Mountain!” the Yellow Ox transmitted telepathically.

By now, even the Yellow Ox and Black Ox were under attack. The flying saucer had clearly targeted the three of them; others were only occasionally hit, not being the primary targets.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! The three quickly ascended the mountain, plunging into the forest and climbing upwards. The Yellow Ox knew how terrifying the field energy on the mountain was, and perhaps it could counter the flying saucer.

They had originally been about to leave, no longer planning to attack this place, but they never expected to encounter such an anomaly right before departing—being attacked by a flying saucer, which was utterly perplexing.

“Damn it, do you feel it? It’s deliberately driving us up the mountain, constantly bombarding us from behind, just like when I used to chase Schiller.”

Chu Feng keenly noticed that the flying saucer’s attack speed had slowed down, as if it were herding them up the mountain. This was very strange and ominous.

“The owner of this flying saucer must be collaborating with some earthly power. They know who we are; this is a deliberate targeting,” the Black Ox remarked.

The fact that they were being chased by a flying saucer felt absurd, but it was happening.

“Don’t worry, the power of the field energy is awe-inspiring; even a flying saucer can’t withstand it,” the Yellow Ox said, relatively calm.

His only discomfort was that this place suppressed extraordinary beings; every time he climbed the mountain, he felt palpitations, a tightness in his chest, and was somewhat overwhelmed.

In a lavish living room, meticulously decorated, a refined man in white robes casually reclined on a sofa, perusing a book on Xingyi boxing. Across from him, a three-eyed man, strikingly handsome to the point of being demonic, sipped tea.

“I never expected Chu Feng to retreat so quickly. He’s nothing special, quite disappointing. I had hoped he would scout the way for us,” the man in white said, setting down the boxing manual. “The Atlantean aircraft should be able to cripple him and bring him back, right?”

“If only the weapon system weren’t faulty and the aircraft weren’t severely damaged internally, not to mention a mere Demon King Chu, even that old lama from Kunlun could be obliterated. What a pity,” the three-eyed man replied. He hailed from the ocean, and the flying saucer belonged to him.

Currently, his subordinates were piloting it, hunting Chu Feng and the two oxen.

On Dragon Tiger Mountain, beams of light relentlessly rained down as the flying saucer herded Chu Feng and the two oxen up the slope.

Following the Yellow Ox’s instructions, they approached a ravine where solar fire essence was hidden and plunged into the woods.

The flying saucer seemed to encounter an unknown interference, momentarily losing track of the trio and unable to detect them. It hovered overhead, occasionally firing beams that caused the mountain ground to crack open.

Chu Feng was surprised. He looked at the Yellow Ox and asked, “Are there flying saucers in your world too?” He felt that the Yellow Ox understood flying saucers and knew how to deal with them, as if it were second nature.

“No, but I’ve heard that some major worlds, despite their advanced technology, can still be suppressed by formations,” the Yellow Ox replied.

Fields and formations were essentially the same thing. In the Yellow Ox’s world, major sects knew how to set up field domains that were both offensive and defensive, proving astonishingly powerful.

The flying saucer continued its frantic bombardment, and finally, a few beams struck into the ravine, hitting the area where the solar fire essence was hidden, immediately causing a huge disaster.

Boom! A massive wave of golden flames surged directly into the sky, sweeping upwards towards the firmament. The sight was somewhat terrifying.

It was like a golden mushroom cloud, incredibly stunning.

At the foot of the mountain, forces from all major powers were horrified. Was this energy rising from Dragon Tiger Mountain? It was far too astonishing. Golden solar fire essence billowed, sweeping across the high sky.

The flying saucer reacted swiftly, shooting upwards at extreme speed. However, the fire essence was terrifying, coalescing into golden clouds that pursued it.

The flying saucer glowed, as if disdainful of this energy pursuit, and retaliated by firing beam after beam. But it couldn't destroy the fire essence and was ultimately forced to flee.

The solar fire essence drifted down, slowly dispersed, and vanished.

Chu Feng saw clearly that Dragon Tiger Mountain was indeed terrifying; it could actually drive off a flying saucer!

“The flying saucer struck the source of the fire essence within the formation, causing a drastic fluctuation and counterattack of the formation’s energy,” the Yellow Ox explained the reason.

Soon, the flying saucer returned, still intent on targeting Chu Feng and his companions.

As it fired beams downwards, it once again struck the solar fire essence, causing the golden mushroom cloud to rise.

The flying saucer fled once more, and this time, it seemed to have learned. Wanting to see just how extraordinary Dragon Tiger Mountain truly was, it returned again and began indiscriminate bombardment, with some beams flying directly towards the summit.

“I suspect this isn't an extraterrestrial civilization at all. It’s likely humans on Earth piloting this flying saucer; otherwise, they wouldn’t make such a rookie mistake,” the Yellow Ox stated.

At this point, the flying saucer unleashed a chaotic barrage, striking the mountain, especially the summit, which was hit by several beams, sending earth and stones scattering.

“Why do you say that?” Chu Feng asked.

“If the halfway point already contains solar fire essence and such terrifying field energy, then the formation at the summit must be even more formidable,” the Yellow Ox explained.

Indeed, as soon as he finished speaking, an earth-shattering phenomenon occurred.

At that moment, many at the foot of the mountain were stunned, jaws agape, their scalps tingling.

On the summit, two mushroom clouds, one silver and one golden, surged upwards. They violently transformed into an enormous dragon and a tiger, intertwining as they swept directly towards the high heavens.

“My god, what are those? A dragon and a tiger?!”

“Dragon Tiger Mountain… it’s not just a random name. There really are a dragon and a tiger?!”

The dragon and tiger were colossal. They soared from the summit, expanding into the sky, their power so immense it seemed to devour mountains and rivers, causing even king-level experts to tremble.

Crack! In the sky, the silver-gray flying saucer was unable to escape; it was somehow confined. The dragon and tiger distorted space as they surged past, severing the silver flying saucer in half!

Simultaneously, Dragon Tiger Mountain erupted with incredibly brilliant light.

Chu Feng coughed up blood. The Yellow Ox and Black Ox were even worse off; their souls felt suppressed, their foreheads cracking, suffering severe injuries.

“Quick, run! The talismans that suppress extraordinary beings have revived!” the Yellow Ox cried out. Gazing at the dragon and tiger, his eyes burned with fierce longing, but also helplessness, as he urged Chu Feng and the Black Ox to flee for their lives.

In fact, they didn’t need his urging; both had already started running downhill. The power emanating from the dragon and tiger was too astonishing; the entire mountain was suffused with energy, severely injuring them.

“What was that?” Chu Feng telepathically asked while running frantically.

“It’s highly likely there’s a weapon buried underground here, and those dragon and tiger forms are the energy it released!” the Yellow Ox explained.

It explicitly stated that it wasn't merely a formation; there was a terrifying weapon hidden within this famous mountain and river. When Dragon Tiger Mountain was attacked earlier, it automatically unleashed its power and severed the flying saucer.

Chu Feng was astonished. A weapon erupting a mushroom cloud as terrifying as a nuclear bomb, and that mushroom cloud even transforming into a dragon and a tiger, corresponding to the name Dragon Tiger Mountain—it was incredible.

Far away, in the lavish living room, the young, three-eyed sea clan expert abruptly stood up, staring at an electronic screen in his hand, his eyes bulging with fury.

“My flying saucer!” he roared. The priceless aircraft had been utterly destroyed, severed in half, and then plummeted onto Dragon Tiger Mountain.

His fingers clenched, turning pale, and a rattling sound came from his knuckles as the screen in his hand shattered, emitting a wisp of smoke.

“What an unexpected turn of events! A mythical weapon is actually buried beneath Dragon Tiger Mountain!” the refined man in white exclaimed, highly agitated.
