"Ah..." The White Dragon shrieked. Centered around the horrific punch hole in his chest, his entire torso exploded. Covered in blood, he flew backward, crashing into and collapsing a rockery.
He writhed on the ground, his body nearly severed in two, with only a small portion still connected. The punch hole had ripped his torso apart, causing astonishing damage.
Chu Feng approached, his gaze cold and fixed on him.
In the distance, Jiang Luoshen's face showed surprise. This was her first time witnessing Chu Feng, who had evolved into a King, engage in a decisive battle. The scene was utterly shocking.
She had watched the entire process. Chu Feng was like a god of war, his body glowing, his skin radiant, and two beams of light shooting from his eyes. He possessed an extraordinary aura, powerfully suppressing and killing his opponent, which was truly awe-inspiring.
"He's this strong..." she murmured to herself. Witnessing such a battle up close left her heart churning, unable to find peace.
Xiong Kun, Hu Sheng, Lu Qing, and the others trembled. After a moment of silence, they erupted in cheers. Such a powerful White Dragon had actually been defeated by Chu Feng!
They were all overjoyed, their eyes shining with fervent admiration. Truly convinced, they felt compelled to follow King Chu, deeply impressed by his invincible, demon-god-like demeanor.
The White Dragon thrashed on the ground in immense pain. His life force was rapidly dwindling, and he had lost the ability to fight. Seeing Chu Feng approach, he grew restless, letting out continuous growls.
Chu Feng stood over him, looking down. "I just barely stretched my limbs, my body was only starting to warm up, and you're already down," he said.
He remained calm, but his words provoked the White Dragon beyond measure. Its eyes widened, and crackling electricity sparked all over its body.
"You're a bit weak," Chu Feng stated.
In truth, Chu Feng acknowledged the White Dragon's strength; he was indeed very powerful, far surpassing other creatures who had broken five shackles. Especially terrifying was the opponent's emerald bead string, capable of suppressing and killing any creature below the level of a peerless master.
Now, the shattered bead string was in his hand, something he needed to take back and study thoroughly.
"You..." The White Dragon was so provoked he wanted to roar. This was blatant contempt, making him feel humiliated. A dignified White Dragon, previously invincible, was now being looked down upon.
Especially since he had previously boasted, viewing Chu Feng as his prey and intending to hunt him, only for this to be the final outcome.
The White Dragon was filled with indignation and shame. He had been utterly defeated by his intended prey, not even a match for him, which left him feeling deeply disgraced.
"Don't you dare be so smug. The ocean teems with countless races and masters, and when true peak experts arrive, the mountains will crumble and the earth will split!" he spat viciously, his eyes cold. Though defeated, he refused to yield.
"Oh, the sea race intends to come ashore in full force?" Chu Feng asked, surprised.
"The sea people will eventually land and occupy the famous mountains and great rivers of the mainland. Then you'll realize how insignificant you truly are!" the White Dragon declared.
Chu Feng chuckled softly. "Are there no peerless masters on land who have broken six shackles?" He looked down at the White Dragon. "How do you wish to die?"
At this moment, the White Dragon's expression changed. Not long ago, he had asked Chu Feng the very same question—how he wanted to die—only for the words to now apply to himself.
Though he was stubborn, who genuinely desired death?
"I was rash this time, and I shouldn't have been provoked by Qi Sheng. I sincerely apologize to you now; can we just let this go?" the White Dragon whispered.
Given his aggressive nature, it was rare for him to humble himself and yield like this.
Chu Feng stared at him, saying nothing.
In the distance, Qi Sheng was furious. He had indeed incited the White Dragon to act, but the White Dragon had clearly already suspected King Chu of possessing a mysterious breathing technique and had long decided to hunt him down.
"Tell me about the sea race," Chu Feng said calmly.
"The ocean is boundless, and peerless masters emerge in endless succession, far outnumbering those on land. Some powerful sea creatures have already come ashore to contend for the famous mountains and great rivers," the White Dragon explained.
He didn't mind revealing some information, hoping to put immense pressure on Chu Feng.
"Is there anything else? For example, where is the Fusang Divine Tree, and do overseas immortal islands or the Dragon Palace of the Sea Eye exist?" Chu Feng asked.
The White Dragon was stunned. He was merely the overlord of a small sea region, so he naturally had no knowledge of such matters.
"I advise you to give up on those ideas. Those places are definitely home to the sea race's unparalleled overlords. You land creatures can't compete."
Chu Feng looked at him. "Since you don't know any of this, what use is it to keep you alive?"
The White Dragon's expression changed. "Chu Feng, you must understand that the ocean holds countless masters and infinite races. You cannot possibly contend with them. If you kill me, it will spark a war."
Chu Feng calmly asked, "Anything else?"
"If you let me go, we can pretend nothing happened today!" the White Dragon declared.
"Pfft!" The next moment, Chu Feng manifested a crimson flying sword. With a swift "pfft," it severed the White Dragon's head. "I never accept threats," he stated.
"You..." Even with his head on the ground, the White Dragon didn't die immediately. Its eyes, wide open, stared fixedly at him.
It was only after a few moments that he finally died.
At the same time, he reverted to his true form: a pure white electric eel, tens of meters long, lying amidst the ruins of the battle, crackling with electricity.
It was a long time before the electrical arcs completely faded away.
Chu Feng's expression was unruffled; he felt no regret whatsoever. What if it was a sea creature? They had dared to provoke him; how could he let them go?
Even if he had been lenient and spared its life, this white electric eel would have sought revenge, and with extreme ferocity. It was better to kill it outright.
"An electric eel... is it tasty?" Chu Feng mumbled to himself.
In the distance, Jiang Luoshen was deeply shocked. That was a minor overlord of the sea, a formidable super king, yet Chu Feng had simply beheaded him.
Especially upon hearing his words, she was speechless. How thick-skinned could this guy be? His first thought was actually about eating!
Qi Sheng's vision went black, and he nearly fainted. He knew they were in big trouble.
Ma Kuo and Qi Teng were even more terrified, trembling uncontrollably.
"Brother, we're finished," Qi Teng whispered, his soul trembling. "King Chu said that all his conflicts with the sea race would be blamed on us, and that the Pre-Qin Research Institute must resolve it, or he'd annihilate all of us."
Upon hearing these words, Qi Sheng rolled his eyes and fainted.
"Uncle Master is mighty, so powerful!" Xiong Kun cried out, both excited and emotional.
Hu Sheng, Lu Qing, and the others also wore expressions of joy, feeling incredibly invigorated as they strode over.
"Just an electric eel, yet it dared to call itself a dragon. I knew it; how could a Jiao Dragon be weaker than a Western dragon?" Chu Feng muttered as he examined the White Dragon's corpse.
The electric eel was white, which was quite rare, and its entire body was as translucent and gleaming as jade.
"Wake Qi Sheng up and have him contact the Pre-Qin Research Institute's high-ranking officials!" Chu Feng ordered.
"Alright!" Hu Sheng and the others quickly grabbed several buckets of ice water and poured them over Qi Sheng, telling him to contact his grandfather, or else face annihilation.
"If the Research Institute doesn't show enough sincerity to impress me, they'll bear the consequences!" Chu Feng warned.
Qi Sheng's face was pale, filled with deep regret. He had failed to persuade Chu Feng to accept the invitation, which led him to harbor thoughts of revenge, only to end up provoking such a formidable enemy.
In summary, he was accustomed to his usual arrogance, always believing that a colossal entity like the Pre-Qin Research Institute stood superior, looking down on all sides. In the end, he had clearly bitten off more than he could chew.
Regret filled his heart. The world had changed now, unlike the past era, but his mindset hadn't fully adapted. He lacked reverence when facing a king who had evolved from an ordinary person, attempting to scheme against him, which ultimately led to disaster.
"Grandpa..." Qi Sheng dialed his grandfather's communicator, steeling himself to explain the situation.
"Do you want to die?!" came an elder's roar from the other end, making Qi Sheng's face turn even paler, his expression changing drastically.
"Grandpa... I was wrong," Qi Sheng stammered, trembling.
"Immediately use all forces to seal off the Yuangu Club! No word of this must get out. I'll be in Shuntian right away!" Qi Honglin exclaimed. He wished he could kill Qi Sheng himself.
He knew this was big trouble. His grandson, Qi Sheng, had tried to scheme against King Chu and failed, getting caught in the process—this was practically a death wish. The fact that Chu Feng hadn't killed Qi Sheng, but instead had him inform his family, surely meant he was about to make exorbitant demands, or he would simply come knocking on their door!
This was no ordinary king; he had slaughtered dragons and killed golden lions. He was unbelievably ferocious!
Qi Honglin's head throbbed. He wished he could personally eliminate Qi Sheng, Qi Teng, Ma Kuo, and the others. They were more trouble than they were worth, having actually provoked King Chu.
"This electric eel is entirely white. Does it have albinism? Is it edible?" Chu Feng mumbled.
He was now quite idle, so he had people bring in large freezers, one after another, to store the lobsters and electric eel, planning to eat them slowly or give them away.
The area was sealed off. The Pre-Qin Research Institute was frantic, mobilizing all its resources to prevent anyone from entering or leaving the Yuangu Club. The high-ranking officials had already set off immediately to personally handle the situation in Shuntian.
Jiang Luoshen watched Chu Feng from a distance. She had intended to go over, but then she noticed his strange gaze—he was actually staring at the area he had once patted. Jiang Luoshen immediately felt embarrassed and indignant, turning to leave.
"Go back and rest easy with your pregnancy," Chu Feng teased from behind.
He had just learned from Qi Sheng that Jiang Luoshen and Mu Tian were not involved in plotting against him this time; otherwise, even the nation's goddess would not have left this place alive.
"You really are a bastard!" Jiang Luoshen turned, her beautiful eyes wide with fury, but then she noticed his gaze was still lecherous, fixed on a certain area. She instantly felt mortified and quickly fled.
A day and a night later, Qi Honglin of the Pre-Qin Research Institute arrived in Shuntian!
Although his arrival was secret, it still alerted some people.
"Elder Qi!" Some influential figures came to greet him, very enthusiastically, as Qi Honglin was one of the principal figures of the Pre-Qin Research Institute, a colossal power that commanded respect.
Qi Honglin sighed softly. After greeting these individuals, he didn't linger and immediately set off to visit King Chu.
He had already privately contacted Chu Feng, and the feedback he received gave him a major headache.
"The Golden Lion tried to bully me and I ate him. Chi Lin threatened to kill me, challenged me to a great duel, and I roasted him. I have no grudge against the Pre-Qin Research Institute, yet you plotted against me. You figure out what to do!"
This response made Qi Honglin's heart twitch. He knew the other party was enraged. Although Chu Feng hadn't explicitly made exorbitant demands, the situation was far more serious.
King Chu was no ordinary king. To appease his wrath, they would likely have to pay a hefty price.
Qi Honglin hadn't slept well for the past two days. He could clearly sense that Chu Feng wasn't just making idle threats. If this demon king wasn't satisfied, he truly might come knocking on their door.
After arriving in Shuntian, Qi Honglin had considered immediately killing Qi Sheng, but in the end, he couldn't bring himself to do it; after all, it was his own grandson.
Qi Honglin rubbed his temples, thought carefully, and finally contacted Chu Feng, informing him that he had brought mythical ancient texts for him and requesting a meeting.
Happy Valentine's Day, wishing everyone warmth and joy!
