Early in the morning, Chu Feng woke up. It had become a habit; facing the crimson sun, he practiced his breathing technique. This was now his essential daily routine.
Soon after, he felt refreshed and invigorated. Numerous mysterious patterns appeared all over his body, gleaming golden like the sun's fiery essence and feeling warm, making Chu Feng feel so comfortable he almost hummed.
Next, he employed the Great Thunderous Breathing Technique. The movement was quite impactful; his body rumbled like thunder, his flesh and blood resonated, emitting dazzling light.
"I wonder if the ancient temples in the Himalayas truly possess the complete Great Thunderous Breathing Technique," Chu Feng pondered.
Soon, he finished his "morning lesson."
Now, he was powerful enough that, apart from the old Lama and the Mastiff King, no other being below the Six-Shattered Shackles realm was his match!
Mastering mysterious breathing techniques greatly benefited his physical evolution!
After breakfast, Chu Feng discovered that Wang Jing had already started arranging blind dates. He immediately felt a headache and promptly got up to rush to Jade Void Palace.
"After you've seen Old Man Lu, hurry home! Don't delay the important business!" Wang Jing reminded him from behind.
Inside Jade Void Palace, when the people saw Chu Feng arrive, their eyes glowed with fervor, as if they had seen a newly unearthed national treasure, and they all swarmed around him.
"God Chu, long time no see! You're finally back! You don't know how much we've been talking about you these past few days, especially when we watched you slay the dragon at the foot of Kunlun Mountain via live broadcast—we were all incredibly excited!"
"God Chu, some say the formidable person who created the gourmet food ranking is you—is that true or false?!"
A group of people surrounded Chu Feng, all wanting a definitive answer from him, while also having many other questions.
For example, what does dragon meat taste like? In response, Chu Feng directly handed them a bag of dried dragon meat, which drew gasps of astonishment, and the group all exclaimed about its deliciousness.
"This is dragon meat? My God, I've actually eaten dragon!"
"God Chu, was the Vatican flattened by you?"
The barrage of questions from the crowd made Chu Feng flee in disarray, rushing into Lu Tong's office.
The old man had long noticed his arrival and was waiting for him. Now, Lu Tong couldn't remain calm either; looking at Chu Feng with fiery eyes, he asked, "Did you bring back any dragon blood?"
"No dragon blood, but I brought back quite a bit of meat. Here, take it!" Chu Feng tossed him a large package.
"You really brought it back?" Lu Tong was thrilled, clenching his fists tightly. He said, "This is of great significance!"
However, when he opened the package and saw a pile of dark, dried meat, his face instantly fell. He glared at the young man opposite him, annoyed.
"If you don't want it, I'll give it to someone else!" Chu Feng made to take it back.
A short while later, the aroma of wine wafted from Lu Tong's office.
From his initial black face and glare at Chu Feng, he ended up trying a piece of the dried dragon meat and instantly became addicted. He simply took out a bottle of century-old aged wine and invited Chu Feng to drink with him.
Chu Feng's eyes widened. The wine jar was filled with the aura of time; Lu Tong was truly too extravagant, just casually opening a drawer revealed such aged treasures.
"You're too much!"
"What? I'm just riding on your coattails," Lu Tong said, completely unfazed. "These are all gifts for you; I haven't even helped you finish any of them off beforehand."
"What's going on?" Chu Feng asked, suspicious and bewildered.
"It's all those big financial groups," Lu Tong informed him. "They heard you were returning to Shuntian, and now they're like sharks smelling blood, swarming over here. Unable to find you, they've been blocking Jade Void Palace, leaving gifts piled up like mountains here."
Chu Feng had caused such a stir—dying and coming back to life, killing a dragon that had broken five shackles, and participating in the Western Expedition—which made all major powers restless.
Even before he returned, the major financial groups began extending olive branches, approaching Lu Tong one after another, hoping to meet Chu Feng through him and strongly recruit him.
Lu Tong took Chu Feng to see for himself. Several rooms were full, entirely with gifts—a dazzling sight.
"I'm already in Jade Void Palace; I don't plan to join them," Chu Feng said.
"It's not necessarily about wanting you to go and join them," Lu Tong said. "They just want to foster closer ties. They're just trying to show goodwill."
These gifts ranged from fine wines to martial arts manuals, to weapons, and everything in between—a diverse array. But Chu Feng looked through them and found nothing he particularly needed.
The so-called martial arts manuals were all incomplete. Jade Void Palace had similar collections; for example, regarding the Xingyi Fist, the manuals offered as gifts only contained the Tiger Form of the Twelve Forms of Xingyi, which Chu Feng had already mastered.
Martial arts manuals were too precious. If there truly were complete, invincible secret techniques, major powers would certainly not leak them.
"Is that all?" Chu Feng asked.
"There were also a few beautiful women," Lu Tong said. "I thought they were gifts, but it seemed they wanted to stay themselves, so I sent them away."
"Old man, I'm going to cut ties with you!"
Upon hearing this, Lu Tong was dumbfounded. He said, "How thick is your skin that you'd dare to want even that?!"
The two continued to chat while sipping their wine.
"You actually dared to flatten the Papacy," Lu Tong informed him. "European countries have all protested; they think you're too dangerous!"
"I didn't do that!" Chu Feng denied instantly.
Lu Tong scoffed. "Go on, play innocent. Don't pretend with me. The outside world unanimously believes it was you. Such matters don't require proof; a good guess is enough."
Of course, although everyone guessed it was him, no one dared to do anything to him, especially since many in the East applauded it.
"You're too wicked, kid," Lu Tong said. "Just one person, yet you caused such a huge commotion. Oh, by the way, is your gourmet food ranking still updated? After eating your dried dragon meat, I strongly suggest that dragon meat be the number one delicacy!"
"That wasn't me either!"
"Keep pretending, go on!" Lu Tong scoffed.
The reason major financial groups extended olive branches to Chu Feng was precisely because they surmised he was behind a series of major events, and his strength was too terrifying.
Chu Feng left Jade Void Palace with a slight scent of wine. He wanted to go for a stroll outside, but after just one glance, he completely dared not show his face.
There were quite a few people waiting outside Jade Void Palace, apparently from various major powers. They were all watching, constantly noting if he had returned, eager to win him over.
Chu Feng quietly retreated, rushed back to Lu Tong, took half of the century-old aged wine, and went straight back to the family quarters behind the palace.
"Dad, I brought you back some good wine."
Wang Jing told Chu Feng that he could go on a blind date tonight.
"Mom, you can't just arrange blind dates casually," Chu Feng said, trying to make the matter sound as serious as possible. "After all, I've gained a certain infamous reputation, and I'd be recognized at a glance. What if someone with ulterior motives deliberately approaches me?"
"As if I needed you to tell me, I thought of that long ago," Wang Jing replied. "I've already commissioned a headhunting company to help. And, when the time comes, don't rush to show yourself..."
Chu Feng was dumbfounded. Just for a blind date, and she hired a headhunting company? Their expertise was completely irrelevant; they wouldn't handle such things!
At the same time, he wanted to shout out, "Who's in a hurry? I'm not in a hurry at all!"
"Don't worry, they agreed, and they guarantee reliability!" Wang Jing said.
"I don't think it's reliable, and I strongly object!" Chu Feng was extremely unwilling. He definitely didn't want to become a laughingstock later.
"Alright then," Wang Jing conceded, "I'll contact them again and find companies that specifically organize blind dates."
In the evening, Wang Jing called out, "Xiaofeng, let's go!"
"How could it be so fast?!" Chu Feng was truly resigned. His mom was too decisive and efficient; she had arranged it so quickly, signing him up for a blind date event.
"Let me tell you," Wang Jing said, "this time it's all elite beauties and handsome men. It's called a 'Diamond-level Blind Date Event.' If it weren't for a good friend of mine knowing the person in charge there, you wouldn't even be able to sign up."
According to Wang Jing, this was an elite blind date event; participants were either diamond bachelors, beautiful executives, or academic elites.
Chu Feng's eyelids twitched as he listened. The more he heard, the less reliable it sounded. Such a blind date event existed?
Wang Jing explained the details. "I've looked into it; it's quite good, and young people like it," she said. "You chat while wearing masks, so true feelings aren't judged by looks, preserving a sense of mystery. Only if you genuinely connect will you reveal your masks and choose each other."
As dusk settled, Chu Feng and his mother arrived at the 29th floor of Moyun Building. They had already put on their masks in advance, ready to enter.
"See, I thought it through thoroughly, didn't I?" Wang Jing smiled. "This way you don't have to worry about others recognizing you. This blind date event is practically tailor-made for you."
"Oh, how confident!" scoffed a voice. "A special blind date just for you? Narcissistic, hmph!"
From behind, a woman wearing a queen mask approached. She happened to overhear Wang Jing's last remark and was very dismissive. Her face wasn't visible, but her eyes were indeed beautiful. She was also tall with an excellent figure, and she entered ahead of them, stepping in on high heels.
"Xiaofeng, I'm telling you, you absolutely cannot find a woman like that!" Wang Jing cautioned. She couldn't go in yet; she had to go to another waiting room.
Unexpectedly, the woman heard this and gracefully walked back. She smiled charmingly at Chu Feng, her large eyes twinkling, and said, "Handsome brother, let's go in together and have a good chat."
"Alright," Chu Feng replied, and walked inside with her.
"I tell you, you kid!" Wang Jing fumed behind them, wanting to poke Chu Feng in the back of his head.
"Mom, don't worry, just wait for me outside!" Chu Feng said, walking straight away.
"I'd be crazy to trust you!" Wang Jing thought, truly wanting to chase after him. This kid was too easily tempted.
In fact, the woman walked with Chu Feng for a bit, and after leaving Wang Jing's sight, she apologized and intended to leave by herself.
However, to her surprise, Chu Feng merely nodded, not paying her any attention. This instantly left her quite displeased, but also a little curious.
Chu Feng stared at a beautiful figure in the distance, showing a perplexed expression, and murmured, "No way, a peerless expert who broke six shackles is also here for a blind date?"
He hesitated slightly, then walked forward, wanting to see clearly. He suspected he might have been mistaken.
The venue was large. After he walked in, he didn't find the woman; she had long disappeared.
"It shouldn't be her!" Chu Feng thought carefully. He felt that the beautiful figure lacked that powerful aura.
"Lu Shiyun, eat a little less," a very tall man wearing a mask said to a remarkably ethereal woman in white clothes and white socks not far away. "We're here for a blind date, not for you to eat."
"Brother, you're the one here for the blind date, aren't you?" the woman in white said, continuing to eat her food. "I'm just accompanying you!"
"You're just greedy," the man retorted. "Last time in Mount Taihang, you just ate other people's lamb skewers indiscriminately, and then..."
"White Tiger, don't say another word!" the woman retorted, no longer calling him "brother," and somewhat exasperated. "Otherwise, I'll get mad at you!"
On the first floor of Moyun Building, a slender and graceful woman reluctantly put on a mask and entered the elevator.
"Goddess Luo," someone said, "this isn't a real blind date anyway. What's there to resist? I just saw you were bored, so I brought you here to join the fun. I heard it's a lot of fun."
"I hope so," she replied. "Just don't let it be boring."
